" From there we meet my mother", spoke Oya as he began to think back onto that portion of the trip. "We spent about a day or two there. Me and my mother caught up and I introduced her to Willow. She gave us her blessing and then we decided to come here. The sail back to the main land was uneventful, thankfully and we began our journey here to Faresh. I have to admit though Willow's stories about your town did not do it justice. It is far more lovely than she described."
As Oya spoke he noticed the small change in Willow's facial expression. It seemed that she might have picked up on what happened. Oya knew it would come to this eventually. In fact he wanted to tell her about it. That was the reason he spoke about it in such detail when speaking to her parents. He needed this thing to be buried if he wanted to take his relationship with Willow to the next level. He needed to let her know about Mark's Town.

"Well, Oya. It has been a pleasure talking to you.
However...
Willow has needs. She is, after all, a woman, and as such, will need to be cared for, looked after, and treated with the utmost chivalric spirit. You must remember that to marry my daughter would mean that you are making a life-long commitment to her. You are vowing to protect her and love her all of your days. To accept and understand her flaws, her imperfections... Everything.
Are you prepared to do this?"
"..." Willow had been preparing to speak, but fell silent as her father spoke in a grave tone and stared at Oya, intent and unyielding.

"I understand", spoke Oya as his serious expression crossed his face. "oya already understood all this before hand and when Willow's father spoke it brought the pirate out of him. He stared into Willow's fathers eyes as he began to speak. "I promise you that Willow will not come to any harm as long as I live and that I will protect her with my life till the day I die."

"Well, then...
I give this marriage my blessing."
"Dad? You... Really?!"
Willow leaped out of her chair, laughing and crying and hugging her father and mother. Amazed at St. Elimine's kindness, Willow was exuberant and happy.
"Willow... You'd best take Oya down to the brook. It's a rite of passage, you know," her father said, eyes again twinkling.
The old couple stood happily as the engaged couple made their way toward the brook by the edge of town.
"My, how the time flies..."
