Two-part suggestion.
Problem: single use items. Currently only Light Runes. There is a -reason- that literally no one buys them: paying a sizable chunk of gold for something you can only ever use once, and is meh on its own anyways, is simply stupid. They don't even bring game-changing effects or power, just... a small bit of utility, useless 99.9% of the time, so even character concepts that COULD make use of traps have no reason to waste money on them.
Solution: I suggest changing them to 1 use per topic once purchased, ensuring that you can't just spam Light Runes everywhere, but making them at least sorta decent if someone actually wants to play with them. Probably don't need to fiddle with the cost (even at 1/topic they're still very niche), but at least they would be -possibly- usable.
------------
Mines are the damaging counterpart of Light Runes, as anyone who has played FE7 knows. In keeping with Light Runes from the same game with almost the same purpose being available here, I think it'd be pretty cool if mines were available, following similar rules as Light Runes - 1 use per topic per purchase, IC explained as having a captured and unstable Fire spell (or fire spirit) that detonates when the seal is broken. In order to be at least somewhat balanced I figure they'd have to be somewhat visible on the ground, so players have a chance to react against them, but once again it could be an interesting option for trap-based characters and stuff like fort defense attempts.

...Responding to my own topic is kinda weird now that I'm a mod.
Mines added, light runes and mines are now one use per topic.
