So i was wondering if there was a possible way to have some sort of rewards system, (NOT A LOOT SYSTEM)for guild threads. The rewards would be some small little thing with limitations that would have to be distributed between the guild members by the guild. This seems like it would be a fun little thing that could help get more guilds started while encouraging guilds to create good well planed threads. So that is my idea and thanks for reading it.

I also would propose an area in which 'jobs' for guilds could be placed. The SS, as a 'dirty' guild, would likely be employed in unsavory jobs or delicate operations, while a merc guild would have your run-of-the-mill 'kill some bandits' jobs.
This would be a way of not only allowing some more fleshing of the guilds (a list of accomplishments/failures, per se) but also allowing PCs to post jobs. For instance, the Rebels could hire the SS to take out an Ilian target, or things along that vein. I feel that that would add an interesting spin, making the concept of the guild more realistic.

Why would mercenaries be considered a "clean" guild. I'm pretty sure the only difference between a mercenary and a bandit is a one gets paid for doing violent things, and the other /might/ get paid for doing violent things. From one perspective, Mercenaries are actually worse than bandits because they're just bandits, but they figured out some people will actually pay them for doing deprabavable acts instead of just doing those acts and hoping they get something out of it. (Unless they're the greil mercs, thos gais r gud gais.)
I mean, they're basically assassination guilds... Right? Sure one would target a single individual and the other targets a whole group, or something, but in the end they both kill people who may or may not be innocent just to make a buck.
... Ahem. I started this with the intention of adding to the discussion, but I totes went off track and forgot. ... Just gonna post this anyway...

I think the differences are well-defined here. fewotw.proboards.com/thread/3853/guildsMy point is, with all that's going on right now IG, having a place for players to post jobs would be fun, especially because then it gives the guild something to do that wouldn't necessarily require everyone. Thus, we can all do our thing, and build prestige (or notoriety) for the guild. Also, it would provide a new spin on assassination attempts, bounty hunting, etc., that way it's not just a bunch of the same old.

We have a general idea in mind, but waiting for for there to be more guilds to put it into effect.

In about 20 some more posts for Kyle there will be a Merc guild. But I do like the ideas of a rewards system for guilds.

I say this is a perfect idea. Vin and Neil aren't an official guild but they've been taking jobs and some real jobs to go after could be a very fun add on.
