Story: Djoser is a old battle mage that use to serve in the Ostia mage corpse. During his sevice he was known as the White Wizard and was known through out all the lycian ledge as a sage of extraordinary power and bad puns.
Djoser first learned to use magic in combat when he was the age of 16. He was first introduced to magic itself however at a young age by his mother, who was a cleric. When Djoser decided to join up with the military as a career choice he was taught Anima magic by his superior officer. Djoser had a strong connection with nature, but fire and him did not seem to mix well. Djoser learned to use it and manipulate the flames like a pro, but he never seemed to be able to connect with the flame. It was not till the battle of Okenshield did Djoser truly learn of his skill with ice magic. During that battle his superior officer was slain by a arrow from a sniper and Djoser had exhausted his fire tome. Pinned down and with no way out Djoser was forced to steal from the body of his superior officer. There he found a Fimbulvetr tome. When Djoser first touched it he realized that this was the spell for him. Using its chilling power Djoser was able to overcome the sniper that had claimed the life of his master. It was after that battle that Djoser dedicated himself to the element of water and began to study fiercely in its field of magic.
When Djoser reached the age of twenty five he was promoted to the position of Sergent. During that time he gained control over a small unit of soldiers. Djoser unit was amongst a coalition force of the Lycian ledge that was put together to take down the bandits infesting the mountains on the Bern and Lycian boarder. The bandits were using the mountains as a lunching point to invade the boarder territories and would flee back into Bern safe from harm. With a agreement from the King of Bern the Lycian soldiers were allowed to enter into the mountains and purge out the bandit forces. Djoser and his men were at the head of this force when they ran into ambush set by the Bandits.
In a brilliant ambush the bandits caused a rock slide to form and tons of harden stone fell upon the coalition army. At the end of the ambush Djoser and a fifteen other men were left separated from the bulk of the force. This ambush would later be known as The Battle of Broken Hills, which was named by Djoser, and would prove to be a pivotal point in Djoser military career. Outnumbered three to one Djoser lifted his seal to the heavens. A brilliant light shinned down upon the mage temporary blinding all those who stared into it. As the light faded and the glow receded Djoser stepped outside of the light. However he was changed, different some how. He was no longer a mage fighting for his nation, but a Sage wielding the power of nature itself. Upon his command the sky itself shifted and the wind picked up. Upon his command great walls of ice rose to defend his soldiers as a massive balls of hail fell upon the enemy forces. It was as if winter itself was under his command as he decimated the enemy forces and won the day. From that day forward Djoser was known as the White Wizard. He would personally take it upon himself to eliminate any bandit activity that took place in Ostia during his military career. It was said where ever he went winter itself soon followed. For another twenty five years he served as a battle mage, and at the age of fifty years old he retired and left the service of Ostia. At the end of his military he served as the marshal of the Ostian forces.
After his retirement Djoser tried to blend into civilian life. However his fame and glory had earned him much popularity amongst the Lycian people. Many mages visited his home hoping to learn from him directly. The amount of pupils at his door soon became unbearable. To make things worst he had the duties of both a grandfather and a father. His children, who he neglected for a good portion of their lives, wanted their fathers approval and would visit him daily to annoy him with some spell they learned or trinket they found. His grandchildren would ruin his lab and disrupt his delicate experiments. Eventually Djoser got tired of it all. One day the White Wizard faked his own death and with nothing but a bag of coin and his Fimbulvetr tome he left to the Berness mountains, where he first gained his fame, and became a mountain man. Atop the mountain he hunted, fished, studied, and lived for nearly twenty years. During that time he would occasionally sneak down from the mountain and scare little children from a nearby village with fake ghost made from magical light. From time to time some brave teenager would come climbing up the mountain looking to find this winter ghost. To amuse himself Djoser would summon up storms with his tome and wail into the air like a ravaging beast. Djoser was resigned to die up on top of the mountain, but one day storm came and destroyed his home. With no place to call home and no family to go too Djoser descended the mountain and began to wonder the world again.
