Snow. There was tons of it in the air today due to the heavy snowstorm. Orys stared trough the snowstorm from atop Balerion as he wondered his next course of action. He had only a few days heads up on some of his older comrades and they would most definitely find him if he would try and rest in any towns. So he had to improvise. He moved his hand down to stroke Balerion's neck, speaking in a hoarse voice. "Balerion, down to ground."
The wyvern let out a loud screeh as a agreement before swooping down to the ground level, landing near a rather large hill. Without a word Orys begun to slowly but surely dig away at the snow, Balerion following suit soon enough as they then managed to carve out a stable enough "cave" like structure into the hill. Orys shivered for a moment before grunting, sitting down against the edge of the "cave", Balerion proceeding to lie down, taking up most of the space.

Trudge. Trudge. Trudge.
Between the really angry Pegasi and the blizzard, he rather face the blizzard. Still, it was rather idiotic of him, really, walking around lost in the middle of Ilia without as much as a map, and in the middle of such harsh weather too. And his "companions" weren't exactly helpful either.
"It was your fault, you know." The man in white (who was incidentally, nearly invisible from all the snow around them) said. "You could have asked for directions."
Alizarin shot him a glare. "Shut up."
Still the imaginary person had a point. He tugged his cloak closer to himself, walking through the knee-deep snow. He hated many things about his homeland, and the weather was one of them. Still, complaining would do nothing helpful, so he just trudged on. Now, if he could only find some shelter-
"What the!?" His thoughts were cut short as he sank into the snow and fell right into a... cave?
"Well." "That was convenient."

Orys let out a short sigh as he leaned against the cave wall. It was slowly getting warmer in the cave, mostly thanks to the warmth both he and Balerion were emitting to the small space. Maybe soon the snowstorm would end and then he could continue his travels.
And then a strange man popped trough the roof of his cave. Orys instantly reached for his spear, standing up as he then poked the spear against the neck of the man. "Name. Then get out." Balerion didn't even bother, letting out a grunt as he simply lied there as some snow trickled trough the hole.

Alizarin barely finished his sentence when a scruffy bearded man pointed a lance right at his throat. Eep. First, the angry Pegasi, now this? Wonderful. Just wonderful.
"Name. Then get out." The man growled.
"A-Alizarin." The Shaman (nearly) stuttered. He tried to push the lance away from him, at to give him at least some breathing room, but it would not budge under the larger man's grip.
"Need any help?" The Man in White called from the hole on the "cave" roof. Alizarin looked up and scowled in return.

His eyebrows furrowed for a moment as the man tried to push his lance away. On a closer look the man seemed slightly scrawny to him. Maybe one of the magical types, or just someone who didn't train for military or anything similar. He proceeded to un-furrow his eyebrows instead as he then raised them when the man looked up to the hole.
He slowly pulled his spear away from the man, eyeing him up and down for a long while before simply grunting. "Go and fix the roof."

Alizarin kept glaring at the Man in White, but his thoughts were interrupted by the bearded man, who still happened to have a lance pointed at him.
"Go and fix the roof."
Well, that was easy enough. Maybe. After all, it was a lot like those snow forts children build, right? Except much more makeshift and much less sturdy. But he never made any of those as a child (being locked up in that proverbial ivory tower of his much of his life). And he made a rather large hole. And they were cramped enough as they were.
He stood up as straight as he could without hitting himself on the "ceiling" and grabbed a clump of snow piling up under the hole. He pressed the clump against the side of the hole. A sudden blast of cold wind hit him in the face. For a few minutes, he did nothing but fix the hole in the ceiling, with the man pointing the lance at his general direction.
"Done." He finally said as he plugged the hole close, and shook the snow off himself. It was a clumsy-looking fix, but he was sure it will hold.

"Mrhngh." He slowly pulled his lance away once the scrawny man finished fixing the roof he had worked on for a long while. He then proceeded to stare at him for a long while. Maybe he would be of use to him? He probably wouldn't be the best soldier for an army, but maybe he could be used as a meatshield. Orys simply grunted again, stabbing his spear down into the snowy ground, followed with Balerion letting out another lazy grunt.
He then proceeded to reach for his belt, going trough a few pouches before pulling out some dried jerky. He bit down onto it with his heavy jaw, chewing trough it slowly as he threw another one towards Alizarin... Only for the thrown jerky to pass him and fly to Balerion, who ate it quickly.

Alizarin noticed the piece of jerky that flew by him, which caught by a hungry-looking wyvern... something that he did not notice until then. He looked at the wyvern, then back at the man, and was unnerved by how the latter scrutinized him. There was something about that gaze that did not bode well.
Perhaps leaving is our best option here. For once, the shaman quietly agreed with his imaginary friend, but when he turned around and saw the cave exit, he just stared. It seemed that in the few minutes that he spent patching up the hole, the blizzard has intensified to the point that he can barely see a few feet in front of him. There was no way he could travel in such conditions.
"Err... Will you mind if I wait for the blizzard to subside first?"
He was given a choice between freezing to death in his homeland or taking his chances with the mystery Wyvern Rider, and chose the latter. Only time would tell if he chose right.

"Mrh." Orys simply leaned himself against the wall, looking up to wherever the man was originally staring. Was he insane? Did he have some friends Orys just couldn't see? Maybe they were outside, ready to attack him and send him right back to Bern for his elder parents to bury after the bounty on him was collected... He quickly shook these thoughts from his head.
"Fine. Stay."

The Wyvern Rider shook his head then grumbled. "Fine. Stay."
"Thank you." Alizarin muttered as he huddled against the wall beside the exit, curled up with his knees under his chin. He wrapped his cloak all around him like some cocoon, pulled the hood over his head. He just looked silly, trying to keep himself as small as possible in such a tiny space. He could have dug into the snow, but he chose not to.
Lazy bum.
"Shut it."

Orys raised his eyebrow as the man talked to thin air, telling said air to "Shut it." He would not even bother to try and ask the man who he was talking to. Best to just wait for the storm to stop and for..
Thump. Thump. Thump. Three landing sounds echoed trough the walls of the cave. "You sure Orys came here?"

"Shut it? Is that all you can say?" It was odd how the Man in White was able to comfortably stand up straight and still have space to move in a "cave" that barely had any room at all. "No wonder you never found anything. No wonder you made no progress all these years. No wonder You. Gave. Up."
"I am not in the mood for this." Alizarin practically growled.
"'I am not in the mood-' Well, that's always the case, isn't it?" White laughed bitterly at Black and Black glared at White while Shadows and Echoes and Visions and Voices whispered and goaded and jeered.
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
"Stuff it somewhere else, would you kindly?!" The Shaman raised his voice at them, not noticing the very unfamiliar, very human noises that echoed throughout the cave.

Orys practically leaped at the man as he proceeded to cover his mouth with his leather glove, staring daggers at him as he then pressed his ears against the wall. Balerion had already silenced his grunting, simply staring at the two, breathing silently.
"I could have sworn I heard something..." A rather young voice exclaimed. "Naw. Pretty sure it was the wind." A older voice spoke.

The Wyvern Rider leapt at him, right through the Man in White, and clamped his hand over Alizarin's mouth to shut him up. However, this went way over the Shaman's head and instead, he squirmed and struggled under the strong grip, panicking, clawing the hand as he attempted to pry it off - and succeeded.
"What was that for?" He hissed angrily at the Wyvern Rider.

Orys simply glared at the man in red for a long while while listening, still keeping his gloved hand over his mouth. Slowly the voices moved to be right infront of the wall.
"I dunno about yer, but this is getting t'cold fer me." A third voice joined in, seemingly that of a young woman.
