"Okay."
"Like I said I won't......Eh? What?" Lynessa didn't expect him to just agree with her demand. And he didn't even threaten her or something, only mocking her with that annoying smirk. "What are you say-" The dragon never had a chance to complete the sentence since she had to brace herself against the wind caused by the wyvern's wings. She made a few steps to the direction Orys had gone but no way she could match his speed, at least not while on foot and in her human form.
"A bandit....agreed to my demand? That's....good? Or maybe I was mistaken? Maybe he isn't with the bandits. Now that I think about it...." Lynessa tried to understand the situation. That man probably wasn't a bandit, although she still wasn't 100% sure. However, if it wasn't him then who.... "Crap! Don't tell me...." she gasped when she realized something. It was her fault! That woman, the pink-haired woman, she was probably be the one responsible for these fire! There was no one else beside those two in this area. "I must find her! And that man. One of them, or maybe both, must be responsible for this destruction," she thought.
Flying was out of question because it would draw too much attention so she had to do this from ground. Lynessa wrapped the dragonstone attached to her necklace within her palms, calling the magical energy resting inside. The transformation wasn't as grand as people might expect it to be. She simply had some change to her physique, growing scales and claws while still retaining humanoid figure. Most of her face didn't change much except for growing fangs and having reptilian eyes. "I must hurry..." she muttered as she pulled up her hood, hiding her face under the hood. It was good she was wearing long sleeve, at least her scales wouldn't be easily seen by people.
"It has been a long time since I drew half of my power. Nothing can beat this feeling," she thought as she started to run, following the trail of Bones. The fire, ashes, and smoke made it a little difficult to follow Bones' scent but the brigand had left easy marks like broken doors, furniture, and oil lamp. Lynessa felt confident that her pace could outmatch the brigand, especially if the pink-haired woman made stops often to start fire. It wouldn't be long before the ice dragon could catch up to her.

"Ready?"
Two dozen archers nodded.
"Move out. Fire at will."
Two dozen archers set off down the steps, moving towards the eastern gate. They'd provide cover for the boys holding the opening. As they traveled, moving quickly in their squads towards the gate, the men already there were doing a fantastic job. They'd managed to push the bandits back to the gate, their circle contracting until the bandits were forced out. Suddenly, the enemy all but fled. A roar went up from the defenders, and they set to work on the next phase. The skilled, experienced troops stayed behind, the 24 archers setting themselves up all around the open gate area to form a deadly patch of crossfire. The less experienced troops then set out for the western gate, a squad to each street, as a means of patrolling, although rudimentary.
The remaining veteran troops immediately used the now-broken gate to form a formidable, albeit crude barrier. Planks of wood jutted every which way, making a barricade across the gateway. The troops then took cover in nearby homes, ready to spring out if need be. The archers nocked arrows, and all fell silent as a stalemate ensnared the east.
The patrol soldiers slowly began to arrive at the west, boosting the defenders' numbers and giving them an edge.
Meanwhile, Neil stayed on the tower, watching and recuperating in preparation for another strike.
Down on the street, a group of soldiers had encountered the archer and the other bandits.
"You there! What are you doing?!"
With that, they closed in, ready to fight.

Orys spat as he flew above the town. Where was that little pink woman. Where was she. His eyes darted all around, yet the fires just wouldn't reflect off of her hair. Dammit, his luck was running out. He could potentially swoop back down and try and ram trough enough buildings to smoke her out, yet Balerion would probably drop dead after too many stone houses knocked down.
Maybe the manchild knew where he was needed most.
With that thought, Orys kicked Balerion gently as the wyvern then turned around, flying towards the Tower before landing on top of it, followed by Orys swinging in, stomping onto the floor.

" Humm, seems like the boss plans were wrong", spoke a Bandit as he looked out a seeing glass. From their position they could see the guardsmen readying themselves at the gate.
"But the boss", spoke a bandit, but he was silenced by their commander. "Hush", he spoke. "We are going to assault, just not down the path they expect." On his command the bandits that lived on the east side swung around avoiding the enemy deadly trap at the gate and jumped the wall from the north. The smoke form the fires made for excellent cover, but also made it difficult for them to see too far ahead. Hoping to catch the enemy by surprise the bandits from the east planned to assault the enemy from behind.
"Enemy", spoke the Archer as he pulled back on his bow and shot a arrow through a gap in that guardsman armor. The arrow hit its mark, but the blow was not good enough to kill the man, but did wonders at slowing him down.
"We need to move", spoke the other bandit as he threw a vase of oil at the guardsman. The oil hit his armor and poured over his body. His friend, Bandit number 3, tossed a torch and set the man on fire.
"Lets move", spoke the Archer as he took point and began to lead his unit of three away from city defenders. "This is not looking good", he spoke.
"Alright the Wyvern is gone", spoke Bones as she threw down another lamp. "She was lucky so far that the houses she entered had lamps for reading and light. She sure did not have this much oil herself. As the maiden moved out the door to go to the next home she heard a strange nose coming from behind. It almost sounded like footsteps and fast ones too. The guardsmen seemed to be in the street. "How in the world can they spare that many men", spoke Bones to herself as she moved to another house. The only solution in her mind was that one of the sides had fallen. This would prove to be troublesome. So far she had free reign to do as she pleased, but now she was going to have to be crafty.

Bones' scent got stronger when Lynessa moved to other house, hinting that she wasn't that far away. The ice dragon seemed to hesitate to leave the burning lamp but if the female bandit wasn't stopped there would be more destruction than this. Closing her eyes and pretending she didn't see the fire, she then resumed her chase. It was pretty difficult to do sprint inside a building with many breakable things like some furniture but somehow she managed not to break anything so far. Well, anything expect a few plates and a door.
"What a fool I am..." she thought as she opened another door. The burning lamps on the floor were a solid proof that Bones was the one responsible for the fire. After all, she left a trail of crimson flame behind. "If only I realized sooner...I could have stopped her....." Lynessa then smiled as she finally caught a glimpse of the bandit woman moving to another house. To be honest, this chase game through the houses had annoyed the kind dragon a little so it would be nice if she could catch Bones in the next house. With a faint growl coming from the excitement, the dragon bolted to the next building, looking for her prey.
Lynessa growled happily when she could finally catch up to Bones in the building they had just entered. The violet-haired woman then approached her quickly. "Stop! You are with them, aren't you? And that wyvern rider was chasing you, right?" Now that she was in the range where Bones should be able to hear her voice, Lynessa cancelled her transformation as she approached the brigand. "Please stop this stupidity! What will you gain from this foolish act? Do you even know what you've done?" she yelled, looking angry. Lynessa stared to the other woman for a few seconds before speaking again. "I think it's not too late for you and your companions to turn yourself in to the guards..." she said, trying to persuade Bones. It would probably fail but she preferred to avoid violence if possible.

What in the world though Bones as she looked at the woman. The bandit was amazed for two major reason. The first was the fact that this woman had some how caught up to her. She was sure she left many fake doors and duds leading to wrong place. She even left a spare axe to look as if she had perished in one of her own fires. The second was the fact that she was standing before her at all. Shoot, Bones was not moving so slow that one could simply walk up to her location. This woman had to be moving pretty fast to catch up to her.
"Pshaw, you must really want to die", spoke Bones as she popped her axe off her belt. "I past your the first time and left you alive. You should have been thankful for it. I usually don't show mercy and to be truthful I would have not showed any if that fool did not ram his wyvern through the house as if it was a battering ram. Yes I know what I am doing. I am burning down these houses in order to create a distraction. What do I have to gain from this everything", spoke the woman as she loss her axe from her side. "What do I have to loss if I let your live, everything. It is your own fault you know. You should have simply left alone", spoke Bones as she dashed forward and swung her axe down toward the maiden's face.

A scuffle broke out as the bandit archer managed to get a sound strike in on the guards.
"Stop, bandit scum!"
With that, they charged in, racing after the fleeing bandits and leaving their wounded comrade in the street. Not a very friendly bunch, but they were focused on their duty. They'd chase these vermin down and give them a sound thrashing that would send them to an early grave.
Meanwhile, the majority of the soldiers were refreshing the situation at the West gate. The new soldiers, rested and buoyed by their victory at the eastern gate, were making a decisive stand and forcing the raiders back. They rallied the weary troops and allowed them the luxury of a break from the hand-to-hand combat of the front lines, which was a significant boon.
Meanwhile, on the tower, the shaman stood in the midst of the twanging longbows, smiling as he looked down upon the action. His foray into the field had gone well. Hopefully the wyvern rider was still uninjured. Looking over the situation, Neil released his charged might, sending the force of Eclipse down upon the bandits at the West gate.
"Aeternis tenebris, vestrum absolvo comprimenti furore!"
The familiar gorge of darkness rent the ground, gaping its maw of death and doom out like a hungry beast. Instantly, the defenders felt the weight of the great darkness pushing down upon them, which crushed down like huge stones placed upon their backs.
The feral power of the darkness amazed the shaman, and he grinned, even as he wheezed in exhaustion.
"This power is immense... I have truly tamed the might of the darkness."
Suddenly, a new sound. It was the Wyvern Rider!
"You're safe!"
Smiling at the man, the Shaman turned to the field of battle and pointed.
"The east is quiet... Could you do a once-over and try to see what's going on out there? I don't like the thought of just leaving it up to chance."

Orys nodded quickly, stroking his beard. "I can do that, yes." He took his spear, heading back to Balerion before looking back to the shaman. "Once this is done... I'll need to ask you for a bit more than just food and drinks, sadly." He grew a faint grin onto his face before leaping onto Balerion's back, the wyvern roaring as they soared into the skies.
He did find the manchild to be someone he could use, yes. He would definitely need to try and recruit him for his own project as quickly as he could, before someone else would snag this talent away from him. It was sad to think about, but if this young man would not accept him asking nicely, he might have to need to use force. This power and mind was just too useful to let slip trough one's fingers, yes.
Orys quickly abandoned this trail of thought as he then headed towards the east gate, his wyvern perching on top of it as he looked around. It seemed to be clear.

Persuasion wouldn't work to Bones, Lynessa had to learn it the hard way. Since the bandit woman had brought out his axe, the ice dragon had prepared for the worst. It was unfortunate everything had to be solved through violence but Bones' action had made it clear that peaceful was never in her dictionary. Lynessa wondered how far she could fight while trying to only disable Bones and not killing her. This would be tricky because the bandit woman didn't seem like amateur in fighting and killing, she moved with confidence and boldness of someone who had gone through many dead or alive experiences.
"Funny...I thought the same thing. I shouldn't have let you pass that time..." If only Orys hadn't come ramming through the building they would probably have fought in a deadly combat. This delayed battle was finally started. Lynessa still couldn't use her full power in her half-dragon form so she needed to somehow defeat Bones with only half of the fearsome strength of a dragon.
Lynessa tapped into her power, drawing the magical energy once again as she undergone the transformation. The surge of magical energy flowed out from the stone to her body, wrapping herself in faint blue light for a second. After the light fade out, Lynessa got her skin covered with hard scales, had fangs and claws, and also grew a tail. She then brought up and crossed her arms in front of her face to block the falling axe, gritting her teeth when the blow from the clash between the metal and her scales pushed the ice dragon a few steps backward. Dragon scales could repel most of human metal weapons but not dragon-slayer or Divine weapons, however it didn't mean she wouldn't feel the impact. As for now Lynessa felt a little pain in her arm, it wasn't cut but the skin under the scales had gotten some bruises.
Her reptile eyes glared at Bones as she spoke, "Sorry, I would like to solve this peacefully but you made it impossible." Lynessa ran toward her opponent and stretched her arm to try to grab Bones' head. If she succeeded the ice dragon would throw the bandit woman to the wall.

"What the $%^&", spoke Bones as she stared with surprise. Here she thought she knew everything to know about the world, but there was something standing in front of her that was most definitely not human. Bones could not help but think back to the story of the lizard men that Wu had told her one time. Most of the time she did not pay much attention to the three fools, but she did remember that story. To be more truthful the image in front of her reminded her of that story. Bones had no idea of who, or what this woman in front of her was, but it was obvious she was not human.
As Bones stared with amazement her opponent made her move. The Lizard woman rushed up and grabbed her head. With in human strength she threw the woman into the wall. The impact vibrated through Bones body as she hit the hard wall of the house. "What the #$%^ is that thing", she spoke aloud as she stared at her with horror. The image of this lizard woman was really starting to freak Bones out. Nothing she experienced in live could prepare her for this ting. Not only was it stronger than her, but it also was tougher than her. Bones iron axe bounced off her skin as if she was hitting a wall of steel. Bones one and only weapon just proved to be completely useless. The maiden could not rely on her strength, nor her battle experiences for this fight. There was only one option left for her to do in this situation.
"Die Monster", she shouted as she grabbed a nearby chair and tossed it at her. As the chair flew through the air bones made a complete U-turn and ran toward the wooden door exiting out the back way of the house. Her only option left was to flee and hope she escaped from whatever this monster was.

As the battle began to wind down, the Shaman smiled. His strength had won the day, had pushed the evildoers back. His power had done something good for the world. But then dark thoughts crossed his mind, and he slowly began to slip down into unhappiness and depression once more.
There was no reason to live, was there? No reason to go on. He'd been through too much, with no apparent results... His best friend was going to leave him, and they would never see each other again, most likely. There was nothing left for him here. The shaman quickly ran down the stairs, out into the street, and then disappeared into the alleys.

!@#$, spoke Bones as she rushed through the street. Her entire body was throbbing with pain. Whatever that woman was she was not human. Bones could only move through sheer force of will. She wanted to lay on the ground and simply scream to the heavens. She did not think she broke anything, but every part of her body was telling her she was hurt. As the maiden moved to escape the lizard woman she heard cries of murderous rage and blood. The Sharp bandit forces had jumped the wall and came in to attack from the side. The brazing fools, thought Bones. They had no idea what they were walking into. Still they would make a good distraction. As they rushed up to her Bones directed to the area were the Lizard monster was at. She then hobbled herself into a nearby house and removed her armor. It was clear to her that they were going to loss this engagement. Even with the city burning the guardsmen stayed strong. If they could remain orderly with this chaos there was no way this gang of fools was going to beat them. Taking the easy route out Bones put on some other woman's clothing and snucke her way to the church. There she acted as if she was a bewilder citizen who got stuck behind the line of bandits and took refuge with the other civilians.
The battle outside raged on for another two hours, but the end result was exactly as Bones predicted. The bandits were crushed and were forced to retreat. Bones was not sure if her boys got away, but they were smart. They probably realized it was a lost cause and retreated. Though they probably thought that she was dead. For the moment it was best as she was going to need some medical attention, which the villagers had so kindly provided. It was a good thing Bones had a pretty face, or she the guards might had suspected something. It was their own sexism that was their down fall. They let one of their enemy get away. Bones stayed in the back of the church and wore a cloak over her head. When the civilians were finally released she hurried back to the home were she stashed her armor and axe and left the city. No reason to hang around and risk somebody recognizing her.

Lynessa was a little disappointed that she failed to capture the pink-haired bandit. Her last attack was supposed to make Bones lose consciousness but the brigand was sturdier than she had thought. When the ice dragon went on pursuit, a group of bandits came from the direction where Bones fled, probably planning to attack the defenders from inside. Of course Lynessa didn't just sit idly and watch them causing more destruction. Like an avalanche, she charged at them without hesitation. Those bandits were scattered, most of them got broken bones or ripped flesh but surprisingly only a few were killed. Some others were taken care of by the guards who came after they heard the commotion. Lynessa wondered if she had been too kind to these brigands but nonetheless satisfied that she had prevented them from destroying the town. However, even with her super strength the ice dragon couldn't get out of the fight without injuries. A few gashes as result of being hit by axe in the parts with less scales could be seen on her body. But bandages and some ointment were enough to ensure her life wasn't in danger. After the nightmare ended, the people began to repair the town as the town recuperated from the damage from the invasion. Lynessa, being too meddlesome despite being injured, took part in the process, mostly helping in the church and the hospital. A few days later she left the city, wondering if she had done enough. But she couldn't stay here forever, unfortunately. Her husband and her sons were waiting for her to return to their beloved village. -Lynessa leaves the thread-

Orys didn't move an inch from his spot at the gate, simply standing there laughing as he watched the battle. Ah yes, this was the true proving grounds of man. This was the true way to show one's mettle, war! These men could be of use to him later on, providing they survived. They would survive. They were already clearly winning, and in the end if they would not, he would simply swoop in to join the fray. But for now, he would sit on top of the east gate with Balerion, simply watching all of the glorious destruction and fighting.
And he was right. They were clearly winning, and in the end they did win rather easily. The bandits were broken. Their leaders were either killed or captured, and most of them were driven away very quickly after they had no one to threaten nor organize them. Orys grinned, jumping down from the east gate's top as he greeted the soldiers rather warmly. After a while of discussion, it was apparent that the young boy tactician was gone. What a shame indeed, he would have been a perfect addition to his army.
But, enough about that. Orys quickly joined the soldiers in their celebrations, drinking merrily with them for a few days, along with feasting. Maidens were bedded, war stories were shared and Orys even managed to convince a few of the local men and women about his idea. He gave them all a map guiding them to his outpost before leaving on top of Balerion. A roaring success.
