After the initial rebuff of Nya's pirate forces, led by her son, Oya, the rest of Hargus's bandit horde fell into retreat, much to the Bandit King's chagrin. Despite the man that led them, their morale had been shattered by their loss of the most significant battle of the day. Thus the defenders of the City of Heroes celebrated and did what they could to shore up their defenses, but the damage to many parts of the wall, particularly the gap created in the North, was too great to fully repair given the continuous fighting that occurred over the next few days.
As of now, the battle has been raging for a week, both sides giving their all and neither side winning handily. The bandits continue to whittle down more and more of the Sacaen city's wall with their siege engines, but each hole created is plugged up by more and more Sacaen volunteers that rush in from the countryside to aid the Crimson Demon, hero of the Bandit War. It has begun to look bad for the bandits, who are proving to not be a match for the superior leadership of the defenses forces, but Hargus seems unfazed. For now he waits, watching the battle from afar.
Heroes
The defenders have continued to work on makeshift repairs to maintain the wall over the course of the siege, but major weaknesses have begun to show themselves, now only defended by the defenders themselves.
With the support of the constantly arriving clans, the defenders have grown to outnumber the bandits, making them stronger on the battlefield than ever before. They still find them under constant siege fire, however, unable to cut off the naval supply lines of Nya's pirate fleet.
Under Richter's guidance, the defending forces have organized, moving with increased efficiency and agility.
Bandits
Nya's pirates have been reduced in strength, and the corpse of many a bandit, once swept up under fervor of Hargus, lie dead on the battlefield among the bodies of defenders. A company of hardened mercenaries from Ilia, enticed by the rewards Hargus has promised them, have finally arrived, reinforcing Hargus's invading army, but they still find themselves outnumbered.
The bandit siege weapons continue to fire upon the City of Heroes, but they have been forced to take a more defensive position, and bandit tactics have towards attrition rather than a full out invasion. Too much has been invested to go back now.
Nacht's command over the army has been revoked, with Hargus taking full authority. Oya's reputation has soured after the initial battle, and he has been demoted to siege weapon defense.
