These infinite-use weapons, do you guys only have them because you are mods? Do you "win" them? Buy them? Where do they come from? How does someone "get" one?
Hey anyway, i got a suggestion. You guys get the unlimited use weapon and from then on, money becomes obsolete for you. I'm all for recognition of long-term players but making money pointless seems a bit silly.
Now, i understand that you worked hard for those weapons and don't want to use them up so here are two options that i think would make the "game-element" a bit more relevant:
1. Rather than infinite use, just have a fairly massive use-count. Like 250.
2. Have the option to repair those super weapons for a fee, say 1000 gold.
The reason i think this is best because it would make you guys a little less invincible. Now i know this sounds critical, and it is, but i promise i'm trying to be constructive. It feels (i'm not saying this is your intention. It just feels) like you guys are saying:
"I want you all to be realistic with your characters. You're all still human and as such, you cant survive a etc etc. ...except me and my friends. We're so good our weapons don't even chip."
And please don't say, "but they're legendary, forged by the gods" or whatever the story behind them is. I think that by not having to consider weapon-usage or money (two elements of this "game") then you're kinda defeating the purpose of those elements even being there.
Like i said, I 100% support recognition of long-term or high-ranking RPers, that why i made these suggestions, but to almost transcend the rules seems a bit much.
Sorry for ranting but i'd like to see the super-players come back to the game a bit. I think it'll be more fun if we're all in this together.

Now that's not entirely fair! Falcatta for was really hard to attain. ...Course Kenshin wasn't the one doing all this work, wat's more I don't thin Matthias was even a Mod when he was doing it but still!

You've got one too? Why don't heaps of people keep an up-to-date statsheet? I know it's not canon but it certainly is helpful.
My point is, I'm certain that it was hard to get and in no way am I saying to give it up. I'm just saying to get it back into the game side of things.
EDIT: By that top paragraph I mean are you saying you have a Falcatta? I just realised you may have been talking about how Kenshin had to work hard for it. Sorry for the misinterpretation.

I don't bother with a statsheet on this board, so...

I was being sarcastic. Alexia, Sokka and someone else I don't want to bother checking had to leave the story to get it while Kenshin did little more then accepting it. But we need those weapons to fight the Hero's although i have to say, I'd prefer it if they'd post a sticky that stated the value of those weapons. Their might and against whom they are effective for starters.

Well that's just me point. While they may be "legendary" and have storylines attatched: i.e. needed to fight the heroes, why should that make them infinite-usage?

Meh, I'd just like some details about Matt's weapon. For instance: Does it target Res? If so, is it still effective against Wyverns? Does it, like the Light Brand half your's Strength? Can you switch between Magic and Strength? What is it base Might? What is it effective against (aside from it's natural Bow advantage?)

As much as I don't like the idea, they are "plot" weapons. Wielded by the moderators of the sight, the only thing I don't like about these items is that the effectively mean that these "plot" characters can not die unless the guy behind the screen wants them to.

oh believe me, we can die. I actually thought Roland was going to kill me, and he probably should've if Aerious hadn't shown up and sat upon him.
Second, ANY special weapon on the site is infinite use (read just about any weapon thread). This is true of all the high ranking weapons which anyone can get. So the mods get a special weapon for being lords, yes. That's because we (and this should shock you) actually have to do work to make this site work. It's effectively a payment for doing what we're supposed to do. Frankly, I do agree some that it wouldn't hurt to have them have some uses, but it wasn't my call. Basically, it's not transcending the rule if everybody gets one.
Also, nearly every wielder of a super weapon either has issues with the thing breaking (Kenshin) or uses multiple weapons (Matthias and Matis), so they have to buy stuff anyway. Admittedly, since we're mods we can just go ahead and edit posts to give us weapons... (I do that to everybody... look at Kyo's massive stash of loot).
We also have to buy things like vulneraries (since we're STILL short staff users...) and promotion items (Matis and I did, I don't know for sure if Kenny just found his or not... I don't even think he knows yet).
And Kenshin and I discussed the Falcatta through PM, along with the quest that would be undertaken to get it (Full roster: Alexia, Sokka, Dray'Gon, Brad)

Here's how each of the "mod weapons" was found/made, in order.
Matis was drawn to a shrine, where the Mani Katti was placed. It drew him in, and he took it.
Kenshin's Falcatta is a legendary sword passed down through Sacean blood. It was found by some members of our group in a sub-quest. It was delivered to Kenshin, who managed to somehow break the damn thing.
Matthias's Adonai bow is the fusion of a Short Bow and Marzius's holy light tome, the Adonai. With the last of his power Marzius infused Matthias's trusty bow with the spell.
The Adonai bow is pretty much a standard bow, with a slight twist. It works as Light magic for that triangle as well. otherwise it acts just like a normal bow. Doing the math from Matthias's statsheet (and my own rememberence) it only has like 6 might, and about 15 crit, i think. It's pretty much just a short bow with a little added kick... the major damage comes from Matthias's STR stat being high (because he's got like a 70% STR growth...). It might be extra-effective against the heroes, I don't know if that was ever decided or not... most of the stunning that's been reported comes from having a magically propelled arrow shoved into your chest.

Matthias explained it quite nicely. It may seem unfair, but every member has the possibility of acquiring an infinite-use weapon at some point in time.
And Matis' Mani Katti is the VERY same as the one in FE7. Stat-wise, effectiveness wise and what not. It has a slightly better effect on heroes too, simply for story purposes.

So it only uses Light against magical enemies?

the light is a magically effect that looks special and does some extra damage against certain enemies (mostly zombies and evil people...).
And it just enters the magic triangle as a Light Magic (which is gonna suck when I try to shoot mages.... I need to buy another bow...)

it also does not have 1-2 range, despite what my statsheet says... I must've used Marzius's template when I made that sheet... curse my laziness.
I'll fix it when I upgrade (probably when I'm like Alan's level, after having owned Barigan... or dieing miserably)
