Combat Style: Tiz's style is best described as extremely fast, light, and agile. Most of his nonlethal attacks are diagonal slashes that rise from the side, usually happening after a dash or something. He does a lot of leaping back and lunging forward. When he means to kill, Tiz will usually lunge instead of slash, aiming to pierce at various vital points. He slips around and dodges a lot. Strength is his weak point, but he uses his combat speed and momentum to fill the gap, often relying on his own inertia to produce power where he might be unable to by a normal, forward strike. He is especially good at incapacitating rather than killing, and often combines his skills with his brave weapon to perform multi-hit combos in attempts to disarm his opponent.
Training: When still in Sacae, Tiz spent three years practicing basic swordplay with his father, in the Cathecassa tribe. He would often refine these skills on his own time, though in his teen years, he seldom found much time for that. At 18, he was capable, but not quite able to hold his own against a strong group of opponents.
Pre board training: In addition to his tribal basic training with his father, a gifted swordsman, when his family moved to Lycia, Tiz joined up in the league and spent 4+ years as a captain of his division. There, he honed his ability and began practicing his signature style, often deviating from what he had been formally taught. This made him a poor group fighter, but an excellent one-on-one combatant.
In Thread Training: He participated in a few contest duels in Laus, fought bandits like anyone else, and occasionally went home to practice his swordsmanship in Sacae, on his own, out on the border. He has engaged in two one-on-one fights, one resulting in the death of his opponent. He has fought a respectable amount of monsters.
Battle Experience: His battle experience since leaving the military is varied. Tiz has been on a few military missions as personal favors to his former officers, which lead him to do battle with a guard battalion of Santaruz troops. He unknowingly protected a low-ranking Etrurian noble girl from a bandit raid with Jya, and has fought his fair share of bandits on the road-- both in defense of other, less capable civilians, and in defense of his own life. He seems to be constantly doing battle with Dak Vasser, an old comrade from Ostia, whose wife's death he blames on himself. They battle here and there, whenever Dak comes upon him in an attempt to kill him. Neither man has ended up dead yet. Outside of the events in Ostia, Tiz has now had multiple encounters with the growing monster population in Lycia.
**As of Miserei Mei, Deus, Dak Vasser has been slain.
