Playing With Fire (Open)

"Alright it is time to get to work", spoke Bee as she placed a gigantic bowl in front of herself. Bee had ran into her old master less than a week ago. It was a fearsome chase, but the maiden of flames managed to escape. Now however Bee was out of hair gel. She was going to need some more. At the moment her hair was, well not in the best of shape. Without her precious hair gel Bee was forced to try and comb her hair. If she did not it would tangle up and become a thick mesh that would blur her sight. "So annoying", spoke Bee as she pulled on the stands. She liked it so much better when it went straight up.

Bee had most of the stuff on her list already. However there was one major missing ingredient for her hair gel, and that was pine resin. The stuff sounded easy to get a hold of when one hears it, but in the city it was a different thing altogether. The trees around here were not pine tress like near the boarder of Bern or in Ilia. They were more maple trees and yellow wood. Pine tree's were rare in this area and as a result it made getting there resin difficult and expensive.

"Oh come on", shouted Bee as she exited another shop. Not only did they not have the pine resin, but the shop keeper acted as if she did not know her. Bee had been visiting the shop for three months now. She came in here every Tuesday to pick up Mr. Johnson order of ingots and cooling oil. Now out of no where she acted as if Bee was a regular joe off the street. "Man I need to get my hair back up", spoke the maiden as she began to walk around town. Bee was now sure it was the hair. If her hair had been in its usual shape she was sure that Mrs. James would have recognized her. Though that would not have aided her in getting her pine resin. It would still have made her feel better. Not rocking her usual style made Bee feel out of place.

"Excuse me miss", spoke a voice from Bee's side. The young maiden turned to see some of the local fools hanging out on the side of the street. This was there normal hang out spot so Bee was not surprised to see them here. However what was surprising was the fact that they were talking to her. Normally when she passes through here they simply continue to play cards or joke around like usual. Today however they seemed to be interested in talking to her, which was more of a bother than one can imagine.

"What is it Cliff", spoke Bee as she called the young man by his name. A surprised look dawned his face for a moment, but it was soon followed by a conceited smile. Bee knew the look well. It was the same look he gave the village girls that passed this way on route to the market. Payboy, thought Bee to herself as the young man began to walk over to her. Why in the world was he bothering her now, thought Bee. She had been passing this way for months now and he did not say a word to her. "Not again", spoke Bee to herself as she realized the cause. It was her stupid hair again.

"Oh so you know who I am", spoke the young man. Bee could practically see right through him. She had passed this way to know full well what kind of person Cliff was. He was a player, if one put it into slang terms. He would date girls for a few weeks and then break up with them. His two flunkies Kyle and Forde they were not much better. The three of them would hang out here all day. Every now and then they would have there girlfriend of the week with them and would be doing something equally stupid. Bee had to wounder though, how did these guys have so much free time. Sure this was a crafting town and not a farming village, but where in the world did there money from. Not to mention they had to be falling behind on there craft. What did these three idiots do for a living? "Well then who might...", he spoke, but Bee cut him off.

"Bee", she spoke. Her words caused him to look confused for a moment, but the young lady was not going to let him stay that way for long. "The name is Bee. You know me. Well I think you would. I come by here ever Tuesday or so to pick up supplies."

"Wait you mean the chick with the square hair", spoke Kyle.

"Oh right that is her", spoke Forde as he stared at the maiden. The looks were starting to make Bee feel uncomfortable. Don't get Bee wrong. She loved being the center of attention, however that was only when her hair was perfect. Bee wanted people to remember her and engrave her image into there hearts and minds. These guys were simply sizing her up and trying to recognize her face. There was no glory in it and Bee did not want any part of it.

"Whatever I am out", spoke Bee as she turned and began to walk away.

"Hey wait a minute", spoke Cliff as he reached out and grabbed Bee's arm. "He nobody is making fun of you about your stupid hair cut", he spoke. The young man did not know it, but he had just stepped on a land mine. "I just want to talk with you about getting some tea and..."

"DON'T YOU DARE INSULT MY HAIR", spoke Bee in a deep and fearsome tone. The maiden then kicked the young man in the knee, causing him to let go of her hand. Instinctively Bee went for her tome, but stopped herself just before she pulled it out. "My hair was gold", shouted Bee as tears began to form in her eyes. They were not the only ones to ever insult Bee's hair style. When she was traveling around Lycia plenty of times. Every time Bee would defend her style and keep rocking her hair. However over time it started to weigh on her The more people who talked about it the more sensitive she became. Now it was practically her berserk button. Talking about her hair was a no no.

Bee marched away from the market as red as the flames she so enjoyed watching. The fool had committed the ultimate sin and Bee was not going to forget it. How dare he insult her hair. Well the next time he needed something fixed or somebody to lend a hand he was going to have to count bee out. Not that the two of them ever really hung out, but Bee had decided that she wanted nothing to do with him. Angry about the entire situation Bee decided it would be best to take a quick break. If she stayed in the market she was sure she would take her anger out on somebody else, or worse those muscle bound fools might come looking for her. People did not take kindly to being kicked in the knee cap.

As Bee made her way thought the market and back into the center of town the maiden took notice of something she normally ignored. There was a sigh. One marking the location of a park. "The town has a park", spoke Bee aloud. She had no idea they had one. Nobody talked about it and rarely did people visit it. So its existence was a complete enigma to her for a good while. Taking the time for her angry to reside Bee decided she was going to take a little walk through the part. The fresh plants and air could do her good.

After a ten minute walk Bee had finally arrived at her destination. It was suppose to be a simple park with very low standards. However to Bee's great surprise the park was actually nice. The water in the pound was clean and the grass was well kept. Even the people around the part seemed more friendly than those in town. There was something magical about this place. Bee could feel her problems just slip away as she took a moment to rest on a nearby bench. The maiden was feeling good for herself and as she enjoyed the rest of the day. She could even catch up on some of her reading she had been skipping out on.

However the good times could not last forever. Suddenly as Bee was enjoying her time in the park three figures appeared. It was none other than Cliff and his two useless side kicks. From there expression Bee could only guess that they were there for a round two. Still Bee had to wounder what gave them there courage. There was no way they could defeat the mighty Bee.

"Well it is about time I got back to work anyway", spoke Bee as she rose from her seat.
