He tries to be kind to strangers so that he may make new friends that won't leave him. Therefore, his sense of feeling left alone in the world can finally be lifted from him.
Story:Born in Etruria, Ventus had a marvelous first few years. He was a happy boy with two wonderful parents. His mother is a magic user from Etruria, while his father is a wyvern rider from Bern. Ventus grew up in a small town near Delfia that was full of sun and happiness. Ventus was very happy with his life and was excited to learn magic in Delfia like his mother did. However, a sudden change of events occurred for Ventus...
When Ventus turned six in 1285 AS, Bern's king started his war of aggression. Therefore, Ventus's father returned to Bern to try and discover what had happened to his homeland and why this war was starting. Sadly, he was killed by a cruel Ilian mercenary group that attacked a village in Bern by the Rhine River. He tried defending the villagers from the mercenaries' cruelty, but was not strong enough to handle them all. When word came around that her husband was dead, Ventus's mother Serena Stoll wanted revenge. She brought Ventus to her grandfather, who lived in Santaruz, Lycia. She left saying goodbye to her son and trekked onward to Bern for revenge.
After living a few years in Lycia, Ventus had finally turned twelve years old. He had grown to like his new home because of all the new people he had met. Ventus discovered that his grandfather is great man that also knows magic. Ventus grew to respect his grandfather and wanted to grow up just like him. Along with his grandfather, Ventus started to feel affection for a new female that he recently met named Elena. However, just as life is getting great, Ventus and grandfather must move away from Lycia because of fear of the war with Kraft and the new monsters that were occurring. The duo traveled to Delfia, so that Ventus's grandfather could teach Ventus the ways of magic in a magical environment.
Due to Etruria being under the rule of Kraft, Ventus's grandfather decided not to train Ventus yet. He feared that Ventus could have been drafted into the war if he knew magic well enough. However, when Ventus was just about to turn 15, his grandfather begun to teach Ventus the basics of magic, such as reading tomes. When Ventus turned 15, his grandfather presented him with a journal, which he wanted Ventus to fill with grand adventures in each city across Elibe. The duo were set to leave for an adventure across Elibe, but disaster strikes before it can begin. A group of thugs came into the town that the duo were residing in and caused havoc. Venus's grandfather hid Ventus and went out to stall the thugs long enough for Etrurian soldiers to come. After about an hour of fighting, Etrurian soldiers came to the rescue from Delfia. Just as the thugs were almost defeated their leader came and struck down Ventus's grandfather with his axe. Ventus came out from hiding and discovered his grandfather laying dead in the main clearing of the village. Ventus felt all alone in the world now. He went back to his house and saw his new journal. He picked it up along with some of his belongings, and set off on the main road. Ventus looked up to the sky and promised that he will complete his journal for his grandfather. The adventure across Elibe begins...
