Saffra gingerly walked through the open ground of this settlement based in the space between two larger mountains. She danced as the ground was crisp with a layer of ice. it was cold, amazingly so. Normally it wouldn't be this cold unless she were further north, but this was unique to her, she felt at home, and loved it. The ice was not natural here, as it was a product of her. Here and there, there were statues of ice, the men whom she encountered. They littered the area, swords, axes, bows in hand. They looked so much more...elegant, coated in that frozen sheet. The white haired dragon couldn't help but laugh aloud, almost insanely, as she felt just so...happy! It had been far too long since she just...let loose. it felt like the old days, those tragic days. Those were something she never wanted to get involved in, but she was forced to. They took so much.
This was one of the places that they took. They built a settlement here, and couldn't even keep it out of harmful hands. This was a den of thieves, but even if it was a friendly town, she would probably have done the same. With a smile alight on her lips, Saffra strode away towards where the lip of the mountain overhung some of the buildings, where others were built into the rock wall. They had disfigured her home, she had thought about doing this for a long time, but well, it was never her time to do so.
Looking up at the massive cave ceiling, they had even erased her heritage and memories. Her mate had carved into these walls, but it looks like either time, or humans had done away with any kind of history that might have remained. Clearly, taking out these thieves didn't alleviate any kind of woes she had, but it felt good to do something. It was hard to do anything anymore. She had to still keep her identity a secret, but she just didn't care anymore. Sitting at the well in the middle of the encampment, Saffra sat at it, looking inside, seeing that it was well dried out.
"Figures."
She grumbled and got up, stretching her arms out above her head, and went to wander around the area. There were a few buildings here, and though her ice covered the area, perhaps there were some still alive inside. It would make sense, to hide and wait for the majestic creature she was, to go away. They probably just thought her to be some sort of beast. With a hand on her sword, she pushed forwards into the large building at the center of town.

The door of the main building of the camp flew open with a loud crash and in the doorway stood a tall figure with dark robes flowing around him in the wind. His face also seemed to be shrouded in darkness from the gold rimmed hood he was wearing.
It started about a week ago. He was tasked with gathering information on a group of thieves so that the T31 could sweep them up without any losses. To do that he just had to get to their camp, gain their trust, and get some sort of power. Well, the last part wasn't really necessary, it would just make things easier. Good thing his story about being excommunicated by the church for his studies in Elder magic was not only a believable story, but a quite convincing one when everything was thought about. Why wouldn't someone who used elder magic, an unknown and deadly thing, get expelled from the church? It easily landed him in decent graces with the bandits and few truly distrusted him, but he felt like they were hiding things from him. But he couldn't risk anything by trying to pry. However, his good graces made it easy to send a correspondence out to the T31 with a schedule for when they should attack. After all in a few days he was due to be the only one on guard at night.
Edrick just sat inside of the main building, staring at a map that the group had provided for him to look at. He was busy fixing up weakness around the camp for them. Or so they thought. He had really just made them look aesthetically pleasing for later. But the strange thing is that he hadn't seen any of them in a while, and they were usually going in and out of the building constantly. He should probably check to see if anything was wrong.
As he stood in the door way he clutched his upper arms and shivered, due to the unusual coldness, before he noticed something strange. There was an unknown person coming towards him and that some of the guys from the group were standing around frozen. He lowered his hood to let the approaching person see his face. "Um, are you with the T31st? You're a few days early according to the plan. Did you lose anyone? " He called out, They had to be with the T31st, and they were probably just hunting for the rest of the group. But why were they so early?

Saffra wasn't exactly stunned to see another person exit the building, but this man was...was he clueless to what was going on? He addressed her so casually it struck her as odd. She knew how loud the men had been, all the screaming, cursing, and her own laughing on top of that as she froze them all i place, and under her feet. There were more there, few standing, many laying below the ice. She couldn't see them though, not here, they were scattered about. The white haired woman regarded the dark clad man, enjoying the sight of him shivering in silence and without showing those feelings, she gave a quick thought about his question, was he with them? He didn't see her, so clearly he didn't know what was going on here. Honestly, anyone should be more skeptical about what was going on. She wanted to kill him though, looking at him, here, made her angry. This was HER home. Quelling such anger before it arise, Saffra gave a nod of her head.
"Ah, yes. I don't know if there was any we lost, but I was sent ahead of the rest." Saffra kept her hand at the hilt of the sword, just incase. Maybe he wouldn't believe her. "Found anything?"
It was worth a try. He might have been looking for something other than her. She was looking for something that only her kind would find precious, well, not true. Historians and these corrupt Eturian officials might as well. They knew about her kind, and hunted for those like her. She had only ever encountered the young, the stupid foolish whelps that thought they could coexist, and gave aid to humans. They coexisted once before, and look at what happened.

Edrick did tend to be clueless about quite a bit of things when travelling and seemed quite able to get himself into many bad situations that he was happily oblivious about most of the time. It was a bad habit on just how curious he was. One day it may even be his downfall, but for now, To him though, this situation was a straightforward one.
He nodded as she said that she was sent ahead, she probably just made a mistake when talking and meant that the others were sent off ahead or something. Not really a concern now. The strange thing is, is that he didn't seem to recognize this lady, and there weren't too many women in the T31st. She must have been a recent recruit. Along with whoever the ice mage was, unless she was the ice mage and that would have been cool.
""Ah, so you already got the entire job done? I'm sorry I didn't come out to help but that building is quite well insulated against sound, and they made me my own little room in there that blocks sounds further. I told them that I need peace and quiet to plan things." He said with a grin. "Yeah. . . But I don't remember seeing you around, so you must be new to the regiment so allow me to extend to you a late welcome! Were you the one with the ice magic? Or was it someone else?" He asked as he glanced around at the frozen people and the ice and snow. Snow could be quite beautiful, but all of the frozen people were just kinda. . . creepy.
"Either way it is quite a shame that these people fail to see reason so often. All these heretics and bandits, I really wonder what goes through their heads sometimes." He said as he shook his head, "Have you already checked over everything or are you ready to go? Because I will help if there is still stuff to do." It was really the least that he could do considering he'd somehow been daft enough to miss all of the fighting in the first place.

Saffra seemed a bit confused, brushing off her cloak that fluttered behind her form. The dragon had gotten it a bit dirty as she meandered through the area beforehand, keeping those red eyes on the cloaked figure. She didn't really see him as a kind of threat, but he clearly, from interpreting the situation from the information Edrick released to her, had been expecting someone to do the same kind of work, or at least to the same extent. Humans loved to kill each other, this fact had been prominent for thousands of years. It wasn't so cut and dry as that, she was not ignorant to their ways. She understood what these people were herself, and did the world a service this man's compatriots would have done themselves.
With a quick twirl, she took in all that was around her. It was a winter wonderland, glare ice coating a great deal of the area, with snow beginning to fall due to the decreased temperature that permeated the are due to her actions. "That I did, I am the ice...mage, " That word felt disgusting to use to consider what she was, very disrespectful, even, "...that did all this! Glorious, is it not? Just an incantation, and all froze as they were." She couldn't help but brag, this was art! "I suppose I am that person...plans change, and they needed someone who could do what needed to be done." A clear lie, but she said it with such feigned truth that it might seem it was only that.
"I am looking for something that belongs to me and my own. Perhaps you might have seen them..." Saffra took to casually walking forwards, a smile painting those lips as she got up close, with her hands off behind her back, holding them together, acting a slight childish in manner, a bit too joyful. "They are these stones, right? Smooth, different colours, different sizes, but not quite the look of precious gemstones. They're unique. You would know them at first sight." It was a bit of a long shot, she had heard about the Eturians looking for dragonstones, but so far no proof. These were precious things, not to be in human hands. Have dragons not given enough? She would not let them have these.
