The bandit managed to knock down the lone villager protecting Midori. Oh crap! The bandit raised his axe over his head and was about too strike at the troubador.. or worse at the troubador's horse. Midori gripped the reigns hard and kicked her heels into the horse's side in order to get her to move away. Either her or the horse would have been hit had not the red clad stranger cut the bandit's back. It was enough to cause the bandit to fall leaving the red clad stranger to dispatch of the bandit.
"Oh.. for heaven's sake!" She spoke with a bit of an annoyance in her voice. Why.. do they always have to taunt. Just slash the bandit and be done with it. Midori stopped thinking for a moment and refocused her attention back to healing. The long haired mercenary had a cut on his shoulder that needed attention. The troubadour could heal.. as thanks for her and her horse remaining unscathed. She let out another soft sigh. Focus.. there are other people who need us.
Once again Midori channled her prayers for safety and healing through the staff into the gem. The white light moved slowly and healed the wound on the young man's shoulder. Midori closed her eyes. She was over taxing herself with this constant healing. And now her body was starting to show signs of that stress. She could feel her head pulsating in pain and her breathing became a bit more labored. But she couldn't falter, she knew she needed to keep going.. to fight through her own weakness and continue to heal the people. Lady Lucy and her group were busy putting the bandits to route. Midori herself couldn't see it but the bandit numbers were thinning. Hopefully this will be over soon.

Sashay kept at Rixsch's side, only doing a slight jog down the hill. A few seconds later he noticed a brigand locking his axe with the blade of an older man. While keeping focused he opened his tome yet again and chanted the ancient words of the Flux spell. As the darkness collected above his head and sank into the ground it recollected and struck the brigands leg, causing him to yelp in pain before being ran through. After nodding he continued to keep his eyes open and kept at the young Troubadour's side. "Apologies, I know that my magic must seem strange, but for now just know that I don't mean any harm to the innocent people around us." he said as he looked on at the fighting townspeople.

The troubadour, now that she had the chance, escaped from the vicinity of her bandit attacker, to help others in need. However, before she left, she muttered a few ancient prayers, causing the cut on Rixsch's shoulder to begin to heal. "Hey, my arm!" Rixsch spoke to himself. He gave a quick thumbs up to the young troubadour before turning back to his scoundrel of an opponent. "Now that my shoulder's back in action, I can kick your ass twice as hard" he taunted towards the bandit.
"Overconfidence shall be the death of ye'." The bandit spoke back, giving a partially toothless grin. He lifted his axe high into the air and leaned towards Rixsch, slamming the weapon downwards. Rixsch quickly side-stepped the manoeuvre, with a slight hop in his step. He slashed the bandit in the side horizontally twice before jumping backwards to avoid another axe being brought down "maybe it will be the death of me, everyone has a death, after all. It's just" Rixsch looked the bandit straight in the eye, a look of determination om his face "I don't plan on dying today."

Traveling for an uncountable measure of time, Gagel finds himself in the Sacae plains. He heard about this place, but never been there himself. From what he heard about them though, they seemed to be relatively nice people, if they had their own code of morality, much like himself. But if that was the case, why do so many people seem to dislike them, like his brother? Mabye he would find out soon.
In the distance, he soon caught eye of what seemed to be the middle of a battle. He had not been fighting for a while, so now he may have a chance to destroy his idleness. He then sees a bandit attacking a myrmidon. I think he could use some assistence. He thought to himself. With that, he drew out his iron sword and quickly rushed towards the brigand, thrusting his blade through him with as much strength as he could. "Well I don't think he planned on dying today either." Gagel said to the swordfighter. "You seemed to have gotten yourself in a bit of trouble."

"Thank you young one." Midori nodded and acknowledged the young shaman at her side. Midori winced lightly at the young myrmidon's pun about kicking the bandit's ass. Only for the bandit to retaliate with some words of wisdom. Midori had read about all sorts of legends about people dying due to over confidence. Perhaps it was the strain of all the healing affecting her patience. Or it could be the fact that there were people of her tribe dying and fighting around her.. while the myrmidon continued his banter against the bandit. Calm down Midori. Remember the scripture.. remember your mediation.. think of things.. calm things. Think of the branches of trees in the winter.. Midori could feel her hand brush her forehead to wipe away the cold sweat that formulated.
She sighed a bit. The myrmidon made another cocky boast about not dying today. And although Midori was there to help heal any wounds the red clad man would sustain, she could not cure him from death. One good stab was all that it took to end it. That.. would be unfortunate for the man in red.. but I honestly wouldn't be too beaten up over it. Wait.. what was she thinking? That was not the proper way for a woman of the shrine to act.. or to think. Remember order.. and.. Oh dang it there's another one.In all the commotion she just barely noticed a someone crash into the pots that lay outside of some tents. Midori guided her horse over to a fallen child, possibly a young teenager. The young lad with a red vest had a gash across his chest. The healer immediately blocked out all thoughts of her annoyance, her pain, her fatigue, and focused on the mantra of her scripture.
Soon the young man wound was repaired to a point where he had a chance at living. But now the troubadour had pushed herself beyond her limit and felt very tired. She went partially limp and was forced to hold herself up by pressing her hand onto the saddle.

Sashay was a little surprised at first to see the troubadour going limp for a bit, but nodded in recognition. He knew that at any rate he needed to watch everyone's backs, to not only finish this fight quicker, but in turn giving there healer much less strain with her spells. He was also surprised at the arrival of another ally, this time it was a nimble mercenary wielding a large blade. However he could not be distracted by this, he had to be on the lookout for any brigand who would take any advantage they could to hit someone with one of there clumsy strikes. He managed to spot one that was making a wild dash towards the mercenary.
Sashay made an attempt at leading the bandit, he opened his flux time yet again, softly chanting the words from the book. As he spoke a dark aura began coming out of his hands and started pouring into the ground. It quickly recollected itself in front of the bandit, but alas it missed. However the bandit jumped back surprise. Judging by his reaction, or rather all of the bandits up until now, we're never really exposed to this kind of magic. "Darn, I can never seem to get the accuracy right on those." He said with a disappointed look on his face "I'll have to work on that when I get the chance."

Gagel sees a troubadot nearly collapsing on her horse. He was a bit worried that something may be wrong with her, but now he had to focus on a bandit that was rushing right towards him. He probally wouldn't have too kill Gagel with his ax, as his painfully horrible charge was enough. Not that his own was amazing, but not bad as this. While thinking all of this, Gagel proceeded to parry the ax attack with his blade, which a young journeyman could have done almost as easily. "Is that your idea of a charge?" Gagel taunted, as he proceeded to push off the brigand's weapon away from him. He quickly slashed at his waist, which connected, leaving some blood flying off. It is a shame he is going to die soon, he thought to himself. He never got learn better fighting techniques.

As Rixsch got ready to defend against the brute raising his axe before him, a metal blade passed straight through his chest from behind him, killing him instantly, as the blade passed back through, the bandit fell to the ground with a satisfying thud.
"Well I don't think he planned on dying today either." A man dressed in light armour said to the Rixsch. "You seemed to have gotten yourself in a bit of trouble."
Rixsch rested his sword on his shoulder "I guess I have," he said before chuckling "thanks for the help." Rixsch looked around for more people in need of his aid. He noticed one bandit going through a load of personal belongings in a tent. He nodded towards his helper "Okay, I'm gonna get straight back to it. Thanks, again, for the help!"
He waved before heading towards the tent, picking up a rock and throwing it at the bandit. It hit his head with a loud thud, causing the bandit's head to bounce up and down slightly. "Hey! The people here worked their asses off to get that stuff, you think it's fair that you take it?"
The bandit turned around, looking Rixsch in the eyes "fair?" He asked rhetorically before laughing loudly "oh, mother! Its not fair that they're stealing my stuff, mother! Help me, mother!" The bandit continued mocking Rixsch, causing Rixsch's head to fill with anger.
"You bastard! Don't you dare mention my mother!" He screamed, running towards the bandit and kicking him in the face, sending him reeling back. "Ohoho, now this gets interestin'" the bandit muttered, wiping blood from underneath his nose.

Claira the thief was walking across the peaceful plains. She was tired of the fighting she had endured over the last week that she's been traveling. Even though she's experienced in fighting with her iron curved bladed dagger, it wasn't wise for her to travel alone. Taking out a blood root, she bit off a small chunk from it. Chewing it, Raven would take a break and look at her surroundings.
"Its beautiful still. Just like how I left i-"
She stopped talking when she saw a cloud of black smoke bellowing up from past a hill close by. Without a second thought, she ran for it. Spitting out the chewed up piece of blood root. Scrambeling up to the top of the hill, she saw what she feared. A village was up in flames.Bolting down towards it, she slid her scarf and hood up. The first bandit she saw was chasing a couple of kids across the grass toward her. "Com here lil ones. Com to uncle Draguur!"
Narrowing her eyes and going full speed, she drew out her dagger and lunged for the clumsy axe wielding bandit. Both bodies collided. Draguur pushed Claira off, but she sliced his left arm open. Leaving large trails of blood running down from his injuries limb. "Yee wench! You'll pay for that!"
Lining herself with the kids, Claira was protecting the small lot of children behind her. As Draguur pulled out his axe, she went running towards him. Her blades tip was aimed for him and he began his heavy swing. His axe dug into her left steel shoulder pauldron and cut her flesh. Screaming in pain, she twirled her dagger and stabbed the man's right wrist.
While pulling the blade out, he grabbed her right arm and heavies her into the air and slams Claira down into the ground. The iron dagger slides out of her hand as the wind was knocked out of her.Draguur proceeded to straddle on top of her and begins to choke Raven. Trying to hit him to get him off wasn't working.
So she dug her hands into his fingers and yelled at the top of her lungs, "Children! RUUUN!" In fear, the children did run, but they went to go looking for help.
"You are dumb wench. A real shame I have to kill yee now" Her vision began to spot in and out. feeling her hands up towards his face, she dug her thumb into one of his eye sockets hearing a distinctive popping sound. Draguur screamed out in pain, letting go of her throat and rolled off. Claira took in a deep breath as it finally reached her lungs. Crawling away, she went for her dagger. A massive shadow towered over her as she had just grabbed it. Looking, there was now a second bandit. But this one wielded a sword.Bringing up his sword he swung down at her. With her natural reaction, she rolled away from the attack.

As Sashay was busy keeping the bandits back he heard a loud scream somewhere out on the distance. He looked around and noticed that the general fighting where he was had died down by quite a bit,but after looking a little bit out into the distance he noticed a skirmish between some bandits and a young woman. After seeing what was going on he immediately called for any archers that were hanging back and waiting for a chance to take there shots. They stumbled a little, but quickly came to him. He pointed to the scuffle and said "Alright boys if any of you are looking for your chance then this is it, aim your bows and wait for my signal". After waiting for the archers to focus and train there arrows on the brigand's back he shouted out his command. "Fire!" upon hearing him shout his command the small collection of archers launched there small volley of arrows at the brigand a few seconds apart from each other.

When the word Fire was heard, all three of them looked. Claira kept rolling until she was underneath a cart that was sitting at the edge of the road. The now one eye bandit got impaled by a dozen arrows all over his torso. His body hit the ground hard. The mercenary took two in his left shoulder and three in his right hip while he was running for cover of the buildings. Seeing its somewhat clear, she rolled out from under the cart. She waved to the archers then ran towards the village, after the swordsman.
Following the blood trial, she began to stalker her attacker. After a while of tracking, she found him limping at the town center. Running up on him, she jumped into the air. Claira landed on top of him planting her dagger in through his skull. Yanking the blade out, a few more bandits walked out of a couple of buildings with different items that they stole. Dropping the items, they all pulled out their axes.
"Can't I just be able to relax for once?!?" Claira said to herself now annoyed. Looking over the dead swordsman, she found a knife. Taking it, she now had two weapons to fight with. Going into a defensive stance with iron dagger and knife. The thief watched as the four bandits formed a square around her keeping their distance. One got annoyed and charged in at her. Hearing him charge and yelling, she spun around. Using her black cloak to conceal her right arm which held her Iron dagger. The curved blade sliced into the man's left arm. Now behind him, she drove the knife's blade in between his ribs. Crying out in pain, she yanked the knife out and stabbed him in the side of his neck with the dagger. The iron axe fell to the ground as well as the bandit who was holding his throat. Blood was gurgling out of the wound and his mouth. One down, three to go.

Midori barely had any time to recover. Lady Lucy had manged to route the remaining bandits on her end and then she started to move on towards the next batch. This time there were about four bandits encircling a young woman with a knife. Lady Lucy couldn't stand men ganging up on any woman so she lobbed a light spell at one of them. Midori was breathing hard, she could really focus. Her vision was slightly blurry as she tried to recover herself. She tried to clear her mind and remember her meditation but found it nearly impossible to do in the middle of combat. Healing villagers of their ailments in peacetime was quite different then trying to heal them in the middle of the chaotic battle.
In the middle of mental recovery a bandit managed to sneak his way over to the maiden. The bandit spooked the horse enough to knock Midori down onto her side. Midori screamed as she fell off her mount. She landed on her arm in a funny way and felt something snap. Her head was now pulsating in pain and bleeding from a small gash. The bandit grabbed her other arm and threw her onto her back. The bandit pulled out and knife, his intentions on the maiden were less than honorable. However, Ashes the horse didn't run off in fright. Instead she gave a loud neigh and rose up on her hind legs and stomped the ground in front of her. A she repeatedly dragged a hoof at the ground and charged forward in an attempt to run the bandit down off her owner. Failing that at least the noise she made would be enough to hopefully alert the other's to the bandit.

The neighing became more and more frequent. The sign of a horse in distress. Looking, she saw a bandit on top of a woman. Growling to herself, she ran for the victim. Claira couldn't let this happen. Not while she's in the area.
Drawing closer and closer she began to yell. When the bandit leaned up to look, Claira tackled him off the maiden who's horse stayed close. The two began to roll a bit. A trail of blood followed behind them. When they stopped, he was on top of her. "Mee lucky daay"
"Not for to long" Claira said and stabbed him with the iron knife into his chest. Shock hit him that she did so. Claira began to stab him repeatedly until he fell off her. Slowly standing up, she felt on her side her dagger. Her dagger had impaled her on impact. Yanking it out, she stood in front of the maiden who's on the ground. Blood running down her side and started to pool.
"Go..." Is all she said.

Sashay watched on at the events before him, taking in the chaos of battle, because as a hunch he doubted it would be his last. The clanging of weapons rang loudly and made his soul hollow, the desire to survive made his heart beat erratically, and his nerves flared like a bonfire set ablaze as he chanted the same words over and over again. With most of the bandits either dead, fleeing, or injured, he called back his dark aura to see a lone thief by the odd healer that he had seen. Thankfully he managed to keep nearly everyone safe aside from a few scrapes and scratches that just a few bandages and home remedies could fix.
He walked towards the healer and thief with a few apprentices to the village medicine man."These two have quite the injuries, make sure they're taken care of. They've both fought very hard for this place."

Midori's head was a blurry mix of pain and slight unconsciousness. She could barely make out the figure of the man trying to take advantage of her, before roughly three hundred pounds of angry horse came barreling towards the man. The man was forced to move away and avoid the horse. Ashes now stood in front of her owner's fallen body in an attempt to protect her. Ashes and Midori had a close bond with one another. The horse reared up on it's hind legs in an attempt to fend off the man. Her neighing and stomping alerted another fighter. A blonde haired woman tackled the man again before he could rebound.
Now Midori couldn't exactly see all of that happening. She was staring into the darkness of her closed eyes trying desperately to open them. Her body hurt but she could hear Ashes. All that she knew was that her horse was making a lot of noise and that meant that her mount was in distress. Her eyes fluttered and eventually opened. Her hand was still gripped around her staff. Slowly the woman pulled herself up out of the muck.
"Ashes!" She yelled. It was enough for the horse to settle down enough for her to grab the reign. She pulled at it enuogh for the horse to calm down.
"Easy.. girl." She spoke weakly. Slowly.. Midori gathered up what was left of her spiritual energy to cast what healing she could out of her staff. The warm light gently healed what it could of her. At the very least it dulled her pain. She slowly grabbed the reigns of her mount and eventually pulled herself back up. With the battle over, Midori returned towards Lady Lucy. The experienced Valkyrie managed to heal the young troubadour's body. Despite this the young healer was still severely exhausted.
