She watched and listened to him. Taking in every choice he laid out to her. Not moving away from him as he gotten closer to her. Claira began to think as she then looked at the duck before her.
"To understand the choice I'm going to make, you'll have to hear about part of my plan." Ripping off a piece of the ducks breast she ate it quickly. "What makes any living creature live? What makes a great empire? A brain...these slavers have a leader they call father, papa, Lord, etc. He makes all the major decisions as to where he wants his slaves. Without him...they will be crippled for a long time until they get someone to replace him. And that is a long process from what I can remember. I want to pick up on my training and I want to kill them."
When she looked down at her hands, she didn't notice that she had them I'm balled up fists so tight that she was bleeding.
"Orcelous...your the third person in my life to show me kindness after me telling my story. Others...they throw me to the wolves or just tell me to leave...humanity...such a cruel thing we can be..."
She lowered her head in shame a bit with her hair shadowing in her face. Remembering how Mel or Weed as she was calling her was so cold to her while Jude was kind and stood up for her.
"The story of my life...sadly. When I was a young girl...I had dreams of being a great hunter and tracker with my tribe back in Sacae. That I would marry, settle down...have kids and pass down my family knowledge. Heck...it's probably one of the reasons why I'm still alive."

Orcleous looked at her for a moment. That could work. If they killed the leader that could be the match to the stack of hay. She may not know it, but the process of choosing a new leader was not as simple as she thought. People always strive for power. Under this leader Orcleous was sure there was individuals who wanted the leaders spot and power. If the leader suddenly died these individuals would fight among themselves to try and take power. Once that happen the organization would be weaken. It would be the perfect time for another group to take them out. Though that was a thought and a time for another moment. Slavery was a major problem. If they could take out this organization... no Orcleous knew better. If they did take out this organization they would be replaced with another. Still it would not be bad to give them there just deserts though.
"Then you have meet some really crappy people then", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the maiden. "For them to simply throw you out after hearing all of that. Hmm, well I can understand some of them. Some people have families and things to loss. It is currently not there problem and aiding you would cause them trouble. To be honest the only reason I am so willing to help is because I have nothing to loss. If they mark me for death then it is no biggy. I already have people who want me dead. If they come and attack me I have the skill to defend myself. Still at the very least they should have given you some food and clothing."
As Orcleous sat there he began to understand how the young girl was starting to call him a moral person. He would help others with no chance of gain and he would take on risks that had no real reward. However for Orcleous this kind of decision where simply the balance that kept him from going off the edge. He still killed people for coin and contract killers where the lowest of the low.
"As for your aspirations", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the young girl. "You can still reach them. I am sure you have learned a lot in your time and the plains are still there. Your not ugly so you don't have to worry about not finding a guy who likes you. The only real problem seems to be the wolves at your back. So to bring the conversation back to the problem at hand. You need to kill the big bad wolf." Orcleous chuckled a bit as he thought about what he said and the irony of the situation. He had stopped trying to be a assassin and now it seemed the art was coming back to him.
"If you need help taking this guy out let me know", spoke Orcleous as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper. The hero walked over to a nearby desk and grabbed hold of a pin in a ink well and wrote something down. "If you ever go to Bern and find yourself near a city called Mordor give them this piece of paper", spoke Orcleous. The hero had written a few words on it. Mainly the word Isengaurd and hobbit. "That would allow you to stay at any of the three inns and get in touch with me. "

"I don't blame most of them for doing such...I understand about how they are looking out for their families or for their best interests. I just have a problem to those that just give me the cold shoulder, seeing me as a piece of garbage and showing the wolves to my trail. And you flatter me Orcleous, but come on now. What man would sweep me off my feet with the mental problems that I have and not to include the scars on my whole right arm and the two brands on both front and back of my body? It's sweet of you to say such kind things, and to give me hope of such a future. But as you said, I still have to kill the big bad wolf that haunts my dreams every time I sleep...or atleast...when I'm able to sleep."
Watching him get up and write something on a piece of paper, she looked over it and nodded. She stuffed it into her pocket. Then something dawned on her. Looking up at him, she asked him bluntly.
"Your going to be leaving then to find your fame?" Already feeling that she already knew the answer, she slowly stood up and sighed. Sliding her Iron dagger into her sheath and placing the bone dagger into her boot. Claira felt disappointment fall onto her as she looked at the plate of what was left of the roasted duck. Her hunger vanished like a passing wind. She didn't know what to do or what to say at this moment. Turning around half way, she looked at the window. Darkness was fully over them. And most likely, the wolves were waiting for her. The feeling of eyes watching her from afar made a shiver go down her spine. The same feeling that has kept her a few paces ahead of the Slavers and their trackers. Claira was about to ask another question but decided not to ask since the hero has stuck his neck out for her for to long as is now. Walking up to him, she stood inches away from him. Out of the blue, she wrapped her arms around the burly man as she had her face in his chest plate crying now. It was very rare for a person to do the things that Orcleous has done for her.
"Thank you Orcleous..."

Ah crap, thought Orcleous in the back of his head. It was true that he wanted to leave and find fame and glory, however he could not simply leave the maiden. If she had not said anything he could have slipped away with a single word of goodbye. Now after she asked the question and gave him a hug Orcleous pride as a man was starting to be called into question. What kind of man would leave a women he knows in a bad situation alone and to the wolves.
"Hold on a second", spoke Orcleous as he grabbed the maiden's hands and pushed her off him, gently of course. "Who said I am just going to leave. As I said I am not a very honorable person, but I do have my personal pride. I would be worse than a dog if I left you in this kind of situation and even more after I said all of that about people abandoning a helpless young lady." Without another word Orcleous walked over and grabbed Xigshaw. He placed the massive warhammer onto the sheath he had designed on his back and grabbed his traveling bag.
"So do you have a idea of where you are going next", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the young thief. She was probably going to be a handful. Probably be a even bigger problem when his little sister/ apprentice hears about her. However Orcleous has his own pride. He can not simply walk away from this. He always did have a weakness for the fair of sex. If they where not holding a sword trying to kill him he had a problem saying no. Even more so when they are in some kind of mortal danger. Maybe the maiden was right and Orlcoeus had more morals than he thought. Or maybe it was just genetics and evolution playing there hand. Either way Orcleous was going to have to take this one for the long haul.

Being gently pushed back, she merely had her head down, looking at the floor. Lifting up her hood to shadow in her face, she would answer his question while raising a finger each time she does the count.
"1. You Sheathing that big hammer on your back. Tells that your not staying in this room for much longer.
2. You writing that note and stating to show it and that they will contact you when I'm in Bern.
and 3. Your body language gave you away. You been wanting to leave since you entered."
Now looking up at him, her jade colored eyes seemed to pierce the darkness from under the hood.
"I don't blame you...hell, I'd probably be doing the same thing if I was in your armored boots. Go look for your fame and riches...from what I understand, sounds like you want and need it badly. I will take care of myself....have Been for the last 16 years."
Looking away from him she walked to the door and was about to open it when she said, "If I make it to Bern...I will look you up Orcleous, the kind Giant."

Orcleous let off a sly smile as the maiden began to walk away. Leaving was finally placed on a silver platter. However at this point Orcleous did not want to leave. He just decided that he was going to do it. "Listen riches and fame can be gained at any time and any place. However you only have one moment to help somebody else. If you want me to come along and watch your back I am perfectly willing", spoke Orcleous as he leaned back onto the wall. As he did so he felt the structure weaken a bit. It was almost as if it was about to give way. So instead Orcleous leaned off it and stood straight back up. He keeps forgetting how heavy Xigshaw was. He has held the weapon for so long now that its weight was common to him. Sometimes he would forget that it was no his back.
"So what is it going to be", spoke Orcleous as he looked at the maiden. In his mind he had already made a decision. If she accepted his help he would tag along. If she denied him he would at the very least give her something to protect herself with. A iron dagger was a good weapon in tight spaces and when you needed to sneak around. However it was almost useless in a straight up fight. Orcleous still had his silver longsword. Giving it up would be a waste of a thousand coin investment, but he could always get another. Not to mention he had Xigshaw to depend on. He was sure with a strong weapon the maiden's chance of making it to Bern would be a lot higher. At the very least he did not have to worry about her weapon getting her killed against the monsters walking around. Those buggers where everywhere now a days.

Smiling a bit, she turned half way to look at him. She couldn't tell if he was being sincere or that he felt to say it to comfort her.
"I wouldn't want you to think of me as a burden or that your coming as guilt Orcleous. I don't have the kind of money to pay you for your time in helping me keeping me alive and to take out the Slavers. I wouldn't be able to bare it amongst other things that I had to witness. Its your choice kind hero." Leaning against the door, she watched him for a bit.
"What will You choose?"
Her slender frame laid against the door with her arms crossed. Something caught her eye as her eyes were diverted to the window. It looked to be a black figure was looking into the window. Squinting her eyes a bit, she finally made out the handle of a sword on the back of the person. Playing it cool, she kept calm. Walking over to the desk, she picked up the quail with ink and began writing a small note for Orcleous.
When done, she walked over to him and handed it to him. Staying perfectly still. The note read. 'Figure out window. Swordsman. '

Orcleous looked at the note as the maiden walked up and presented it to him. So they where here. Well that did not take long, thought Orlcoeus to himself. She stopped for only two days and they caught up to her. Then again she did make a major scene two days ago. They probably heard the news and came running. Unfortunately for them Orcleous was still around. "Burden", spoke Orcleous as he began to laugh a little. The hero did not want to give up the fact that they knew they where there. "You should have seen my sister. She was a burden", spoke Orcleous as he slightly pulled his silver sword out of its sheath. "So to give you a straight answer then yes. I will come along for this little adventure."
As Orcleous finished talking he picked the ink well up with his right hand. Placing a top on it orcleous stuffed it into one of his side pockets. The ink would be useful later, thought he was sure the innkeeper would be ticked at him from taking it. Still Orcleous had decided to let the slavers make the first move. He could have drawn his sword and such, but he had no idea what they prepared. If he rushed into things he could be setting both himself and Claira into danger. Still at the same time he did not want the enemy to completely control the pace of things.
"So, are you going to draw", spoke Orcleous without turning around toward the window. "Or are you simply going to sit there and watch." At the moment Orcleous had no idea what kind of weapons they had. However he was sure that he could take on anything a bunch of random slavers had. Orcleous had faced down both the living and the dead. There was nothing in this world that could scare him now.

The sounds of a heavy thud was heard followed by somebody running. Claira was looking at the person as he let go from the window. If it was a group of slavers, they would have been breaking down the door by now. Thinking for a moment it hit.
"A Rat. Come we need to get out of here!"
Her mind started back up of racing thoughts, ideas. But calming herself, she went to the door and slightly opened it to have a look outside. Looking, she didn't hear nor see anyone up and about.
"We go, we go now Orcleous."

There was a clear difference in how the two handled things. Even though the threat had presented itself Claira was cautions about the entire affair. She opened the door cautiously and looked outside of it before she made her move. It was a clear sign in the gap of experience and tactics. Orcleous was a warrior, and his mind this situation required speed and action. If it was the other way around he would have simply rushed out the door and looked for enemies. At the same time he probably would not have lasted as long as she did thanks to his more brash and rash nature. Still Orcleous was sure he could handled a few slaver assassins.
"Right", spoke the Hero as walked out the door. Orcleous drew his silver longsword letting the sound of the blade leaving the sheath fill the hallway. If they wanted to go out the front door they would need to take a right. However Orcleus did not like the left turning hallway that would be right behind them. If they where going to lunch a sneak attack it would be from there. Still that was what the second pair of eyes was for, thought Orcleous as he moved toward the main exit. "I will watch the front and you keep a eye on the back", spoke Orcleous as he moved to turn the corner and head toward the main lobby of the inn.
Even though night had just started to settle in Orcleous was sure that there would still be plenty of people on the street and in the inn. On one hand it made things more difficult as carrying a sword around would look suspicious to any guard or patron. At the same time it also made it harder for the slavers to move. The more eyes the worse it was for them.

Hearing the plan, she nodded her head. Taking her dagger, she went towards the back door. Being as quiet as she could. Seeing the back door was still closed. But it was better to be safe then sorry. Testing the knob, it was locked. The only sounds she heard was Orcleous moving, her own heart pounding and people Walking around outside.
"This is heart pounding. A lot different from what I usually do which is running." She said to herself quietly.
On Orcleous side, the sound of an arrow hitting the In 's door was heard. A note was wrapped around the shaft. It read.
' Give us Raven and you'll be paid Handsomely. Don't be a Hero. We will wait for your choice. '
A hunter sat on top of a house across the way from the Inn. He was keeping an eye on the door and the front Windows.
( Enemy list: One thief, two hunters, one Archer, one myramadon, two soldiers and the leader a Cavalier named Rumis.)

To Orcleous great surprise the inn main floor was empty. It seems the maiden was not joking when she spoke of the power of the slavers. He wondered how much money did they pay the people inside of the inn to leave, or did they simply threaten everybody. Considering it was a inn it was probably the first option. Mercenaries did not like to be threaten. Coin moved people a lot easier. Still Orcleous had to deal with this now. As the hero walked up to the door and read the note a annoyed expression crossed his face. He gave off a long sigh. There words where not only genetic, but also ironic. Still Orlceous had no intentions of following there demands.
Orcleous looked out the window to see how many people they had. From what he could see there was only the man on the horse. The others did a good job of keeping themselves hidden. "Hey Claira looks like it is your friends", spoke Orcleous. At the moment he had no idea how to deal with this situation. They probably had the entire place surrounded. With that being said running outside like a crazy person would probably get him killed. Staying inside would also run the chance of getting him killed. He did not think they would be so bold as to burn the building down, but that was always a option. If Orcleous was going to tackle this situation he was going to have to use some tack.
The hero sheathed his sword and opened the door to the inn. He made sure it looked as if he was going to surrender to the slavers and let them have there way into the inn. The hero walked over to the man on the horse. As he approached he took a quick glance around to check and see the positions of anybody else outside.
"So I am guessing that you wrote this letter", spoke Orcleous as he stopped in front of the man's horse.

Rumis nodded his head as the Hero approached closer. Holding his hand up, he spoke. "Close enough. What be your answer?" It's noted that he had three fingers up in the air. The hunter that was visible whistled and stood with bow string pulled and iron tip arrow ready. To Orcleous's right, on the balcony of a tavern stood another hunter. To his left, an archer popped up from a cart of hay. Steel arrow pointed and ready.
"Our Rat tells that Raven tells of Brands mean. She tell you of Ravens brand mean?"
Claira was waiting for a while. Nothing happened yet. Walking back towards the front, her eyes went wide when she saw the front door opened and the Hero standing outside talking to a Cavalier. The armour black as knight and hood over his head. What was going on? Backing up slowly, but the all to familiar sound of picks jumbeling the back door 's lock. Turning fast, she ran back to it and saw it slowly open with an arm reaching in with a hand mirror. Raming the door with her body as hard as she could, a loud scream of pain came from the back of the Inn. The now limped arm pulled back out and she shut it.

"Three archers", spoke Orcleous ignoring the man's words. The hero looked him in the eye for a moment. He needed to know how hard this man really was. From his looks he seemed like he knew his way around a battlefield, but he was not the terror that Orcleous was use to dealing with. "The answer is no", spoke Orcleous as he touched the hilt of Xigshaw. The holy magic radiated through his body and Orcleous felt the rush of power. Using the power of Xigshaw Orcleous kicked back with his feet at amazing strength. The power sent him flying back a few feet allowing him to dodge the three arrows that flew toward his direction. With a move of his hand Orcleous unhooked the latch on the side of the leather belt and pulled the mighty warhammer to his right drawing it from his back.
"First is first", spoke Orcleous as he charged toward his right. He needed to take out the archer on the balcony first. He was the greatest threat thanks to his range and vision. Swinging the massive hammer xigshaw Orcleous smashed the wooden studs that kept the balcony standing. Continuing his sprint Orcleous swung around toward his right making his way back toward the man on the horse and getting out of the way of the falling balcony and the archer. At this point he needed to keep a eye on the three men out front and prey that nobody came from the back way. Claira was a grown women and more than capable of looking after herself. She survived this long and Orcleoud doubted that any of them could take her out very quickly. That being said he did not truly know her combat level. He was going to need to eliminate these guys and get back to her very quickly.

Two arrows now fired towards Orcleous as he charged again. But Rumis brought out a Javelin. Turning his horse he began his very own charge towards the Hero. Lifting up the spear, he lined it up with Orcleous with how he moved. Once he was sure enough, he heavied it towards the coming brute. Smiling, he was drawing time. For the distraction, a soldier ran in through the front door. Shutting and locking it behind him.
Another soldier came from the side with steel lance in hand. Charging in towards the Hero, he had his shield in front of him and spear hugging it.
In the back.
The myramadon was kicking the door Trying to make her way in. Claira held herself against the door. Then hearing the sounds of light armor boots coming up to her. Looking back, she saw the black soldier coming towards her with his Steel lance. Thrusting quickly at her, she started to get a bit worried now. Move and allow the ones behind the door in or to allow the soldier to kill her?
Gritting her teeth she had to make up a quick plan. Him getting closer, he lunged again and she slid to the side just barely missing the lance. The spear embedded into the door now stuck. The soldier let go and brought out an iron lance. "Shiiii...." was all she said when she ran towards the front where the door was closed now.
"Get back here Raven!" The soldier inside yelled. Turning around, she took out her Iron and bone daggers. Claira braced herself for her incoming attackers. Walking in slowly. was both the soldier and female swordsman. The injured thief was behind them. Watching carefully, the soldier charged her first making Claira to avoid. The female swordsman ran in and sliced Claira across the arm. "They branded you with the Raven? The should have branded you with a pig cause your useless flesh."
Like a switch, her facial expression changed. It went blank as she ready for another attack. Again the soldier lunged and she moved to avoid. The female swordsman attacked her but the iron blade was met with a steel plate of armor on Claira's elbow. Spinning around, her cloak swiped over her. Clairas bone dagger sliced across the myramadon's stomach making a trail of blood.
A pain shot through Claira's thigh as the iron lance was sticking out. Looking at him, the iron dagger broke the shaft. Running up to him, she'd zig zag to him Then was right up and close to him. Blood was coming out of his mouth as he looked down. Both daggers were stabbing him under his plate armor. Kicking him away, he fell to the ground with a loud thump!
