Her grip on Seelenschmaus tightened. "My faith to my king is absolute. If I must be his sacrificial lamb, then let me be. The dagger plunged into my heart shall burst and bring forth such darkness that you all will drown in it, as my King comes to claim this land back to who it belongs. Mother earth shall once more control her own bosom without your kind, or the humans, or even us interfering with her will." Or at least, that was what her personal goal was. She was not sure if her king followed the idea in full, but she wasn't about to tell that to some scalebound wyrm that would soon be gutted.
So it wanted to fight. It wanted a challenge, eh? Her mind snapped for a second, feeling itself... Come back in full. Her eyes for a second tracked over to Gunter, the giant having fallen over finally. She could hear his screaming in her mind so clearly. A sad tale, but her power had returned in full now that she didn't have to split it over to the lumbering giant. She quickly counted her chances and her men. Some were giving chase to the ones that had ran away, while some were still surrounding the area, waiting for an order. Quickly, quickly, destroy the holy man. Her orders were heard, and two lightly armed undead began to shamble towards Remus. They'd be quick distraction, but soon she'd run out of men to throw. And then she'd either have to kill the dragon or she'd have to run. She knew her limits, and both of these beings against her was something she couldn't stand. Sadly.
So, she'd end this quickly. No more banter. Simple action. Her feet dug into the ground as she soon dashed out towards the enemy. If it shifted, this war over. She had to apply constant pressure. She quickly shifted into a slide along the ground, attempting to quickly sweep Seelenschmaus against his legs. With luck, the opponent would fall down for an easy kill.

"Tell your king that I will be waiting for his return then. Humans won't quit as long as they can still draw a breath. None of them will. Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard. Always taking constant care not to break something. To break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control, even for a moment, or someone could die." Before Liam knew it, the Arum knight had began it's charge at him, he prepared by reaching as far back with his right hand, balling it into a fist as he took a step forward with his left foot. He had planned on tapping into his stone for extra power as he drove his fist into it's skull.
That plan had quickly went down the drain as it dropped to the ground, sliding towards him swinging it's lance at his feet. He hit the ground with a loud thud, landing on his back first due to his stance when he was tripped. Human flesh was far too soft, a pointed end could easily pierce it even if it was dull. Liam was laying prone on the ground, the Arum had proved to be a lot quicker than him, he couldn't put up an offense to counter it's attack so he was forced into going on the defense. Liam's size once again grew, horns had began to protrude from his forehead as his iris became slanted. His jaw line was more square as his flesh began to turn into scales. He laid there, waiting for the attack that was soon to come.

Aria watched from the sky as the black knighted thing descended onto Liam. The eye patched man looked like he was ready to throw a punch at the thing. But the armored thing moved quickly and knocked him onto his feet. Chewy glanced at her with some concern. The rider had a javelin in her hand. The sky haired rider had only five javelins left in her inventory and knew she needed to make them count. Normally, she'd be out scouting for more of the undead stragglers but this seemed to take a bit more prescient. She was not about to have Chewy charge at the Armored thing. She landed Chewy in the spot where the armored thing had been standing. Before, she-he-it charged forward at Liam. Aria had Chewy step to her side so now they were at a diagonal. Last thing she wanted to do was accidentally impale Liam with one of her javelins.
Aria had Chewy put her head and wings down. She raised her arm in order to take aim but stopped momentarily. She was still in pain from crashing into the tree branches. But she pushed through it and threw the pointed pole like projectile. She threw two more javelins after that. Her intention wasn't to maim the armored thing. She did not have enough strength for that. Instead, she just wanted to distract the Armored Abomination. Distract it enough for Liam to do something to it before the creature decided to turn back around and hurt her.

The injured girl had parted ways as quickly as Claire had approached her. Claire hadn't wasted any time herself, she took off running in the direction the girl had pointed her in. It didn't take her long to find anything outside of the town, there was only two of them left, slain undead had been laying scattered around the area along with the couple of guards that tried to intercept them and kill them. She wasn't about to allow their sacrifice go to waste, as she drew her sword her could feel her heart rate increase faster and faster.
On the outside Claire was a strong warrior, but underneath she was a train wreck. It took everything in her power not tremble or any other signs of fear. The young girl was having flash backs to Sacae, but her desire to help save the people was greater. Claire raised her sword up, the hilt being next to her head. Her right hand being directly behind the guard and her left next to the pummel. She took a step forwards, placing her feet shoulder length apart.
She had second guessed taking that stance, she shifted the blade around where it was pointed in the air away from the undead opposed to at them like it was moments ago. Her body was now facing towards them, where it was her left shoulder before. Once the first one was close enough she took a step forward as she slashed downwards at it. She was unsure of what would happen if she would have stopped where she normally would and thrust into it so she followed through, the force of the attack caused the undead to stumble back slightly. Moving the blade behind her she kept it low, with the tip barely off the ground pointed away from her foe. She was going to wait for the creature to move once again before going on the attack again.

"Why bother to tell him of the wishes of a dead scalebound mutt? I'll be giving your beating heart to him as a gift when he enters this world instead, that will make him remember you forever." There was a small, almost hiss like noise that left the Arum as she quickly climbed up from her slide. Her blazing red eyes quickly turned to the fallen dragon shifter. It had been aeons since she fought against one of these mangy beasts that dared to trample upon this world, besides the one in the mountains. Bah, they would fall like the rest of them, the best of them, the toughest ones had already disappeared.
Just as she was about to set out to move and charge towards the dragon, a javelin dropped down on her side. She watched it just for a moment, until another one flew down. She looked up at the wyvern rider, hissing again as she set out to charge forwards with Seelenschmaus held high. Some of them scrapped her armor, but for now she managed fine with the bombardment. If she had to stop, however...
She quickly rushed over to the Dragon that was laying prone upon the ground. It had already began to shift, and if she did not act soon, she might have to face both the will of Elimine's little helper and the dragon. Both of those at the same time was a combination far too dangerous for her to handle alone, and her men were far too busy chasing after those two women that had fled. She raised her hands and Seelenschmaus high up into the air before then attempting to slam it down at high power near the chest of the dragon.

Remus couldn't rest idle. As he moved, the priests body was still enveloped in a soft blue glow of the re-applied barrier magics he'd cast upon himself moments prior. His feet hammered tirelessly against the soft earth beneath him as he pumped his arms, lungs burning furiously while he tried to efficiently savor every last morsel of air. Yeah..this wasn't his thing. Nayru had been the athlete. She was the one that could run for like..an entire week. He could muster maybe...fifteen seconds? Still..that had to be enough. The shadow-infused fiend had been fighting with the man, now almost one hundred percent confirmed to be a dragon. This gave him added determination to intervene. He couldn't be absolutely sure that this dragon was as strong as Nayru. Not could he be certain that they could last it out in a fight. He certainly wasn't about to assume a dragon was weak..but this shadowy...thing..this shade..this..monster. It was powerful. Beyond that. Nothing he'd seen..save for it's assumed kindred spirit at the City of Heroes, could compare. At all.
With his particular skill-set, he felt duty bound to help. So help he would....at any cost.
The priest skidded to a halt the moment he neared the dragon, lifting his right hand as he held his staff a few inches infront of him, the top level with his forehead. His left hand clasped it firmly and he shut his eyes tightly. Had the monstrosity not been so intent to strike down the dragon, he'd never have made such a mistake upon the battle-field. This was where it counted though. Where it mattered. The blue haired priest collectively focused every ounce of will that he had. He let his mind form a single unyielding desire.
Protect him.
This dragon. It might not've known Nayru. It might've been nothing more than a single person among a sea. It was however, a living, thinking, feeling creature. With his own powers..how could he not feel obligated to help? Anything that happened to this creature..was on him if he did not.
A warmth pulsated from the priests body, as the winds of energy swirled around him only to configure into the gem atop his staff. A burning blue energy that blossomed into a trail towards the dragon before flashing brightly and forming a churning cocoon of energy around it that looked almost like plates of glass. Enough to shield it from at-least a few strikes.
As the priest had learned, his magic could nullify individual hits no matter the severity. The number of hits had slowly increased as the barriers became stronger with his own rising skill. That was not his only skill though...
He took a few steps back, and turned his gaze to the fiend. His right hand tightly clasped his staff and he extended his palm, while using his left arm to brace his right as if preparing to hold back a great force. A palpable shockwave of energy exhaled around him, before rushing inwards as light began to burn intensely from the priest. The air around him growing heavy with radiant lights pulsating outwards. It enveloped his entire being, making it almost impossible to directly gaze at him while the blue haired bishop attempted to fully prepare. Drawing as much holy magic as he could. As much energy as possible so that he might smite this fiend.
Inexperience with the purge tome was supplemented by time to generate it's raw daunting power. The light left his staff like a beacon, and he held it high while harnessing every last vestige of holy power that the heavens would bestow upon him. Remus shouted outwards while he set his mind towards that singular focus once more.
Purge the darkness. Release unto thy foes, the brightest of light. That the sun cast out the shadows, and burns the fiends who hide within; I shall do unto thee. Let the heavens guide my hand, let them stay thy own...and let them welcome thee into their splendor!
He could remember little else from the tome off the top of his head, when focusing so hard. However his intent was clear, and the will to strike with another round at purge would be far more devastating, with him trying to adequately cast the spell this instance.

Aria had attempted to protect Liam by distracting the creature. Liam never cared for humans before the Scouring happened, these days his dislike for them had grown. They saw dragons as evil, weak, monsters, and other foul things, but Aria? She had tried to protect him, even after he spilled his 'magic' trick she accepted him. He couldn't allow that thing to harm her, that thing could rip her to shreds before Chewy could react, the only thing he could do is lay there and draw it's attention. It had wasted no time to prepare it's next attack, raising it's spear above him ready to drive it into his chest.
He lacked the time to draw more power from his stone, to become more draconic and fight back so he opted to use his arms as a shield. He raised them above him, his right above his left arm when he saw the faint glow of a spell. That man had used the teachings of that harlot to place a barrier around him, as much as it pained him to admit he needed it at this moment. As soon as the spear had touched it, he saw it's thrust slowed down slightly as it shattered it, continuing it's plunge towards him.
There was some resistance as it began to make it's way threw his arm, his scales weren't hard enough to simply stop the attack. It pierced threw his right arm into his left, still pushing downwards, the tip had made it threw his left arm as it slammed into his chest. It had pierced his chest, but didn't go deep enough to penetrate any vital organs. The barrier and both of his arms had done their job. Liam pushed back, taking the tip of the spear out of his chest as he took in a deep breath before reverting to his human form. He exhaled as his body went limp, if he was to get on his feet and join the fight again, he would need that thing to back off for a moment, playing possum may be his only option at this time.

Aria watched in a mixture of pain and horror as the black knighted thing thrust it's spear onto Liam. Aria’s javelins did nothing to slow the creature down. Not even the blue haired priests holy barrier stopped the lance from finding its mark. She watched as Liam's body changed from its partially monstrous form to that of the human one she had grown accustomed too. Then subsequently watched as that human form pulled the spear tip out and went limp. Gods.. above… no. No! Aria was accustomed to loss. Growing up on a wyvern ranch in Bern, she was accustomed to seeing wyvern go. She knew that not every wyvern reared on the ranch survived. She knew that not all of them hatched. She’d seen older wyverns die of both natural and human causes.
But this was different. Liam was not a wyvern. Liam was a person. A person whom she was starting to consider being a friend. In the short time they had met and spoken to one another she'd come to accept him as a comrade. Chewy had gotten over her fear of him. And she was looking forward to watching the three of them try and teach little Julius how to fly. But, now this man she had been journeying with was limp on the floor. Killed by that thing.
She soon found herself shaking. Her face wet with fresh streaming tears. The holy man was glowing with a such luminescence. She knew what he was doing. One of her brothers traded his life of the lance for one of cloth. He became a monk and left the family to live in a monastery in the mountains. He'd come home every few times out of the year. Mostly for holidays and reunions. She remembered, as a child, how her brother would sit down, and read her passages from his holy book. He'd show her little orbs of light magic that chased away the shadows of the night. He'd speak of the eight heroes, mostly of Elimine. He'd tell her how the books, say she was so full of divine will that she'd glow with a holy light. Similar, to that of this priest.
As she grew up, she learned more about magic. The wyvern academy showed her the basics. More importantly they showed how to have you and your wyvern avoid getting hit by it. Aria knew that this priest was preparing some sort of big spell. Simply, due to how long he was taking to cast it. She figured, the monster must be tired after piercing through a barrier like that. Or at the very least distracted by the priests holy glow.
This, was her chance to do something. Aria could do one and only one hit. She needed to make it count. She grabbed her newly acquired axe reaver with her good hand. The reaver weapon was the strongest lance she had at the moment. She gripped the reigns and wordlessly ordered Chewy to charge. Chew flapped her wings and flew straight towards them. The holy man was going to need that black knighted thing to stand still if his spell was to be most effective.
The reddish wyvern approached behind the knight. Aria had pinpointed one tiny area of weakness in the armored ones armor. A gap in the back of neck. While she could not tell at this moment if the gap had chain mail underneath, all she knew was that's the only place she could strike. She had only one shot at this. Aria raised reaver high into the air and struck down at the knighted monster. She aimed as close as she could into the gap and thrusted it forward with all her might. The resulting clang shook her arm so hard that she was forced too let go of the lance. Chewy sped off as fast as she could to ensure safety for both Aria and herself.

"Yess.... It is done."
She watched the dragon-turned-human fall onto it's back, going limp. While she wasn't sure on if it was dead, she didn't have time to think about that for too long. There were still some problems abound, and those problems were the woman on the wyvern and the man and his holy book dedicated to Elimine, the bitch. She'd have to deal with them. Or escape, and let them spread the word that the King was coming. That seemed like a good thing to do, now that she thought about it. The bishop was without protection now, but she was already battered and wounded. She'd have to retreat and raise more men, and she'd have to fix some of her body.
The sudden thrust into her neck broke her trail of thought. The shadowy substance it was made out of let out a schlurp like noise as the spear sunk into it, slowly sliding deeper and deeper until it peeked out the front. She looked down at the shaft that was peeking out from her neck. This was a strange feeling. Her head, and by extension, her neck were not made out of meat, but a shadowy substance similar to the nether drool that dripped out of the spearhead of Seelenschmaus. Slowly she moved a hand to grab onto the shaft that was sticking out of her neck, yanking out and looking up to Aria. Her thoughts were disturbed. What would she say. What should she do?
In a daze she haphazardly threw the axereaver towards Remus, setting off to a quick run. She needed to get her thoughts together. And for that, she needed to escape this place as fast as her two legs could carry her, even if her whole body was still burning slightly from holy pain.

Liam laid there, listening to the sounds around him, he could hear the flapping of Chewy's wings, the shifting in Aria's armor as if she was attacking. Damn it, Liam had done this to give her a chance to run, not go on the offensive. Then he heard some kind of sicking sound, almost as if Aria's attack found it's mark, then suddenly he heard hastened footsteps, one that was weighed down by armor. That was his cue, his eye shot open as he pulled his feet into the air as started to roll his lower half onto his back.
Liam had jumped up onto his feet trying to get a location on the creature before it was too late. He saw it running from the battle, he shot a quit look in the direction he heard Aria in a moment ago, who appeared to receive no new injuries. That was a good sign, but he couldn't allow the creature to escape, the gap between the two was too great for him to catch it normally, and it seemed to have a faster run speed than him.
He knew he didn't have the strength to muster up a full transformation again, he had attempted to draw enough power from his stone to grow wings and pursue in the air, he was able to partial transform slightly larger than he was moments ago before unwillingly going back to his human form. He had used too much of his stone's power in a short period of time, it wasn't use to the work load he placed on it, if it was a thousand years ago he could keep going all day but that wasn't the case today. "DAMN IT." He growled out.

The armored thing was running away. Aria wasn't sure if it was due to her actions or a combination of everyone's actions that caused it to flee. Whatever the reason the sky haired rider was glad it wad going. She took a moment to wipe her face. She was still reeling over Liam's death. Her clean face became dirty from the muck that was on her hands. She didn't care. Chewy landed herself a fair bit away and turned around to see the people behind her. Liam was still on the ground and the priest was still standing.
The reddish wyvern tilted her head upwards to look at her rider. She chirped growled in order to get her attention. From Chewy’s perspective the rider was covering her face. One of Aria’s hands decended down and patted the wyvern on the neck. The wyvern made a higher pitched chuffing sort of noise. Aria knew that it meant Chewy was still concerned over her. The reddish wyvern perked her head towards the direction of Liam’s body. Aria's behavior was similar to that whenever a ranch wyvern around her died. Chewy knew this. Chewy was intelligent enough to put two and two together. Aria was upset over Liam. Chewy didn't know that Liam was presumed dead. Chewy knew death. It was a state when things stopped moving and gave off a specific smell. Depending on the strength of that smell, was what distinguished the difference between rotten dead, freshly dead, and edible dead. The wyvern gave a sort of disapproving snort. Chewy didn't like it when anyone upset Aria. Chewy acted like any other concerned sibling would in this situation. She was going to walk up give Liam a peice of her mind. She gave another huff, stretched her wings, and started to march over towards the two men.
Aria was startled by this sudden movement and was forced to grabbed the saddle horn. Chewy's approach was quick but it slowed down as Liam started moving. Chewy now saw the wound that Liam carried. The wyvern now understood why Aria was so upset. It wasn't something Liam did, but rather because he was hurt. As they approached Aria swore she saw a miracle happen. Liam was on his feet and shouting. Sweet skies above he's alive! Aria pulled Chew's reigns and stopped the wyvern. The sky haired rider hastily dismounted her wyvern and ran over. Out of instinct she approached him and gave him her shoulder to lean on. Cultural taboos barring her helping, magic shapeshifter, demigod, whatever the heck thing Liam was, be dammed. She was going to help him.
“You are alive. Thank the gods. Here lean on me.” Aria spoke to Liam.

The priest was now engulfed in pure light. A monstrous amount of holy magic permeated from him with enough density that those sensitive to magic could almost certainly feel the stifling presence. Possibly those without it as well. The only thing he could imagine, or mentally bring to mind, was the sight of what he imagined Elimine to be. Angelic figure bathed in light, and illuminated with an aura akin to wings and a silhouette not of shadows, but purest light. His own energy was a mirror of this, as the light magic he conjured forth responded to his will. Near his back it extended further while billowing outwards, palm clenched tightly and staff out-raised as the priest fought to contain the energy he gathered. The power he drew upon was still foreign to him, and he strained himself, needlessly most likely, to ensure he remained in absolute control.
Eyes burned with a determination that could not be diminished. They followed the fleeing shade, body rooted firmly in place as he ignored every other outside factor. His hand lifted higher, and the rushing current of magical energy instantly abated, leaving a ghostly hanging silence from the hissing pressure of his energy. The woman atop the winged wyvern had moved to the dragons side, and the dragon stirred. These however, never registered for the priest as he remained focused. Every motion perfectly controlled. Instinct guided his hand, and he moved in natural gestures as he tucked his staff to the side and extended a palm outwards. He could do it! He could smite this monstrosity!
Until...
The wind had rushed so much around him from the conjured essence of holy magic, he did not hear the rushing as the axe-reaver twirled through the air. His narrowed focus had denied him notice of it. It spun through the air, before crashing against the priest. Had it not been for his barrier magics, which flickered before repelling the sharpened edge, he'd have likely been impaled on the spot and pinned to the ground. Blue hair rustled and the priest flailed as his hand was guided to the right by the jerking force of the thrown weapon. Then his magic descended.
The thunderous roar was far greater this time. An immense pillar of blinding light crashed down from the heavens above so swiftly that the actual sight of it dropping was almost impossible to register. One moment, there had been life. The next, holy magic punched a destructive hole into the ground. It had been close to the fleeing Arum. Close enough to bathe it in obnoxious light and let the searing heat waft over; yet inaccurate enough to ensnare it within the harsh punishing magic. The ground sundered beneath the pillar, fragmenting and powdering as it was reduced to smoldering ash. The beam continued to stream downwards, for almost four seconds providing such a monstrous source of light and even small vestiges of heat, that it was as if a small sun had descended to bathe them in light and warmth. It faded abruptly, as much so as it had started, with the priest panting and leaning on his staff to support his weight. A bitter taste was left within his mouth.
Quiet steps brought him slowly over to the dragon, and the blue haired woman. He approached from what felt like a great distance, quietly doing so while keeping his gaze fixated towards the fleeing shade. Should it have returned..he would be ready. Now however...he would recover. He would help others recover. As was his primary gift. In the back of his mind though..he felt an odd tug. As if a second presence idled. Calling. Like he'd forgotten something..but the fact that he'd forgotten this known thing was more dreadful than the object being lost. He felt disturbed by it. He dismissed it for the present. When all wounds were dressed, and safety assured, he'd ply further into this curiosity.

Liam's breathing was heavy in anger, he just wanted to hit something, to break it in his hands. The only things that was near by was Aria, Chewy, and the harlot's follower so he knew he couldn't do what he wanted. While he wasn't happy about the man's choice of faith, he did help him in that fight.
Slamming his fist into his leg to release some of his anger "Next time I see that thing, I'm going to murder it." Looking towards Aria he didn't want to ignore her offer. "Tis just a flesh wound, my pride took more of a hit than my body. I'll be fine for the time being." There was a million things racing in the old wyrm's mind, mostly about what his elders had said about that war but almost everything was hazey, he would have never guessed that information would have been important.
"If that damned being gets it's way, the path ahead of us will isn't going to be an easy one. I can't fight to my fullest without worrying about you damn lesser beings even if I could tap into that strength. To make matters worse, I have no information about them, and I'm sure that thing called all of my bluffs." Liam's adrenaline had been decreasing, the pain from his wounds had began to increase as well. He didn't want to remain out here in this state, "Aria, are you in any condition to travel to the town?" Liam barked out.

The bishop had healed Aria of her wounds. Her chest still throbbed in some minor pain but it was much more manageable. Aria would still have a nasty bruise on her side from falling off of Chewy. The wyvern itself was in no pain or injury. She was a bit tired but otherwise ok. Aria was worried over Liam. Even as the blue haired man healed his wound, he could not heal his demeanor. Aria was shocked that Liam had shouted at her. He barked an order at her like a general did his soldiers. She didn't blame him for it. Getting one's ass kicked, exhaustion from the transformation, the pain of his wounds, and the black Knight escape, it weighed heavily on him. She wasn't upset just minorly shocked.
“Sir, we will be ready to depart once Chewy returns with Julius.” The response was almost automatic. She almost stood at attention and was about to salute. Thankfully she didn't. Her teenage years were full of her older brothers barking orders at her, training her for a life of the military. Chewy didn't quite get the message. She was just standing there staring at three of them. Waiting to be included in the conversation. Aria shot her a glance. Then a head movement in the general direction of Julius hiding place in the woods. Chewy still didn't get it.
“Go get Julius!” Aria shouted. The lightbulb went off in Chewy's head and she quickly darted off into the trees. She would return in a few minutes with the baby wyvern. Aria then turned her attention to the healer.
“Sir, thank-you for healing and helping us.”
Several minutes later there was a noise from the woodlands. A wyvern shout from the woods alerted her that Chewy found Julius. The tone and pitch of the roar told Aria that it was a shout to get Julius to follow her. It was similar to what a disgruntled mother's tone of voice would be speaking to a distracted child. No doubt Julius wanted nothing more than to play after spending several minutes alone. Another cry. Chewy eventually returned with one disappointed wyvern pup in her mouth. Chewy grip on Julius was gentle. It was something similar to that of a cat picking up its own kittens by the scruff of their neck. Julius seemed to perk up at the sight of Liam. Chewy dropped Julius on the ground near his feet. The pup landed with a small thud. He was perfectly fine. Aria sighed softly and went to prepare Chewy for flying. She spent a few minutes checking the straps, saddles, and bags. Everything seemed to be in order.
"Ready to go when you are."

Remus could only nod as he was thanked by the young woman. Words couldn't find him. His emotions mixed up within a storm. Fear still ran rampant within his very core. At what he'd seen. The dark creature. The dead it commanded. The sheer severity of it all. Then there was the anger. He was a pious man sure, but he was human. Those people had once been living. They had lives. Hopes. Dreams. Futures. Aspirations that would now, forever go unfulfilled. He'd never subscribed to the notion of "righteous" indignation before, or a notion of divine judgment. If ever it existed, here was surely it in truest form though. These fiends. These things. They killed people. Not like normal monsters which wandered around aimlessly. It had sought them out. It knew to flee. It was thinking. Calculated.
The he realized the other truth. It had taken great damage from his magic. Holy magic. The purge spell had broken a barrier otherwise often considered unyielding and unwavering. It had only hit the creature on the fringe end of the blast yet did enough damage that only a little further had been required to push it. This meant that he could harm it. Maybe remove it as a threat. If ever he had a duty assigned by fate...
The bishop heard them discussing moving back to the town. Ensuring others were safe. Normally he would be spearheading this effort. He however, had a different goal. A duty.
The bishop inhaled sharply. Crisp air fueling him as he collected himself entirely. Eyes ablaze with determination as he turned in the direction the fiend had run. His fingers gripped the staff tighter while he walked slowly away from the pair quietly. His robes trailing somewhat, the soft stains of his own sanguine vitals and brown dry dirt caking different spots. Remus felt it though. The spirit within him burning brightly. As if he could hear it. Everyone's hearts, their dreams, collective within him. A tad over-dramatic, but not inaccurate in that most would have desired this thing brought low.
The priest's left hand reflexively curled into closed fist. The air crawled around him. Magic gathering to him as he wove his mastery of the spirit through reality itself before the soft glow of holy power infused his palm. A light that would guide him to his foe. He began to take a few more steps, speaking to the others as he followed. The upbeat priests bright tone was composed. Sharp. Set.
"Think nothing of it. It is my duty to protect the sanctity of life, but please..excuse me. That duty is yet unfinished..."
