Thasus was on the road once again traveling towards the town of Khan Yunis, a port town where he might set off and head to the dangerous area of Nabata, however as it would seem funds are rather low for the young pupil and a boat was simply out of the question perhaps work in Khan Yunis is an option? He let out an audible sigh and laid he head down on a brown sack filled with some kind of grain he has never seen before but made for a comfy pillow.
As he was about to drift off into a quick slumber the caravan came to a quick halt, he slowly crawled out from the back to check on any commotion outside, he saw a rather large pack of about 4-5 wolves halted in the front of the road growling in anger. The merchant drew out an iron sword and began to fight the pack of wolves all at once, he managed to kill one wolf with a quick slash but left himself open to an attack of the rest of the pack sending him to the ground in a mass of screams and blood. The horses were already dead at this point as well but this seemed to not be enough for them as they focused their eyes on Thasus!
He pulled out his spell book and called a lightning strike to fall from the sky hitting a wolf causing it to fall to the ground in pain but slowly regain itself and sit up straight. The pack slowly marched closer and closer to the Pupil, There has to be a way out of this... cmon, think Thasus think! He looked around and noticed a small pile of dead branches littered around the road, he fired a weak bolt of fire towards the sticks causing them to ignite in small flames.
He rushed over and picked up a burning stick using it as a type of sword against the wolves. They slowly backed away dragging the dead merchant but leaving the horses to rot...
Thasus looked all around again not noticing any more wolves, he threw the burning stick to the ground and began to run... in the direction he hoped was Khan Yunis atleast.

(OOC- More dead caravans? Remind me not to send you any more of those.)
Hmm. It seems I am still a bit of aways to go. Aeos mused to himself as he looked at his map. The hermit of the sands had made a small camp for himself out in the shadows of the mountains. Mountains that were north of the port city of Khan Yunis. He managed to find enough wood to burn into a small campfire pit. He had a few small lizards and one snake on pikes and cooking over the fire. On the other end of that he had a small pot of goat milk mixed with cloves and cinnamon.
The sun was starting to set. Night time in the desert brought a radical shift in climate. The desert during the day was hot and dry. But at night the desert was cool. Cool enough to give people chills. His ears twitched for a moment as he could hear the sounds of wolves off in the distance. Desert wolves were uncommon but not rare. They often made their dens along the mountain ranges of the desert. They were a plague upon livestock but needed in the natural world. They were the ones who hunted the weak, sick, and the injured. Ensuring that the strongest, fittest, and healthiest animals survived. To humans their pelts made warm clothes or warm sleeping blankets. To Aeos they were a good meal. But he figured he had enough meat on the fire already to tide him over until tomorrow. Tomorrow he’d make his way south towards the city and hopefully find his folks. This was usually the time of year they made their pilgrimage out towards Khan Yunis to replenish their supplies.

Thasus had been wondering all night long not getting a wink of sleep but soon was relived to see a shining beacon of hope, a rather large town along with a bright blue ocean in the distance. He suddenly felt a surge of energy and began to run towards the city. As he marched past the gates and into the town there was a sudden large shift in energy, from a dry and dead to a bustling and energetic town filled with merchants, customers, and travelers all getting ready to depart or stay a night at an inn.
He felt right at home with the many vendors and people but something was still missing... oh right, a home... On that dreary mental reminder he shook himself back to his senses and began to head in the direct of- of the... um... He had no idea where to go, he had no money to purchase a ship to anywhere nor find work since he is rather young... Perhaps inn keepers or vendors or... who was he kidding? With no help he was done for, that is until a certain person just so happens to be in Khan Yunis at the time...
As Thasus wondered the markets he bumped into a man knocking a small basket full of an exotic fruit out of his hands, as Thasus began to apologize and pick the fruits up he noticed the man was none other than the very man who sent him away... his father.
"Well... if it isn't the little fire starter, why aren't you with your aunt and uncle training?" His father said with a glare sending chills down his spine. "I- I uh... got attacked and... didn't want to go with them... I wanted to start a new life..." He couldn't look his father in the eyes but could still feel the glare. "Hm, well so be it I won't try and stop you."He began to walk away towards the direction of the port, Thasus was stuck in awe at how his father was just going to let him go on his own... "Father wait I-" A bolt of lightning struck down in front of Thasus causing him to fall to the ground, along with all citizens around to start staring in shock... "You... are not my son until you finally become something I can be proud of." And with that he continued on. The people began to continue their daily routine while Thasus lay on the ground still in disbelief and surprise... What now? is all he thought...

Aeos spent most of the morning walking through the desert from his mountain campsite out towards Khan Yunis. A trip that would take normal humans at least until nightfall. The dragon cheated a little bit by waking up before dawn, transforming and flying part of the way there. By the time the yellow orb that was the sun was half way up from the horizon he re-shifted back down to his human form. He kept his legs partially shifted and started running through the dunes in order to keep his momentum. He had some fun in sliding down the dunes in childish glee. He wasn’t sure what it is about Nabata that brought out the more immature aspects of himself. Perhaps it was just due to the plain and simple fact that he was home. He eventually arrived at Khan Yunis as a sandy mess of a man. A little bit before he hit the city outskirts he completely cut off tapping into his dragon stone so his appearance was entirely human. His first order of business would be to head towards the sea and wash away the excess sand. Then possibly head down towards the local shoreside inn in order to see an old friend of the family.
He walked through the markets, casually looking and smelling the various scents in the air. Khan Yunis seemed to be doing well. He recognized several exotic fruits that were grown from Vinland. Oh! A pineapple! There was a bit of a smile on his face at that. He’d have to buy one later after his bath. His ears twitched slightly he could hear the sounds of people talking. Now while that wasn’t anything new there were people talking all over the market. It was just a thing that people did. But what caught his attention was the context of the conversation. He turned around to look and saw a man shoot a bolt of lightning down at a young boy. This caused him to frown. As the man who threw the bolt walked away Aeos turned his head to see if there was anyone who would help the boy out. But he saw no one even move towards the child. Bunch of human prudes! The voice of his inner dragon cried out in his head. So Aeos dusted himself off and approached the child.
“Hey child. You alright?” He offered a hand to help the boy off the ground.
“Thou needs to move off the path or risk being trampled. Come now.”He spoke in a calm voice.

Thasus was in shock... the man who had raised him his whole life... turned a blind eye to him. As he sat on the ground wondering what to do a man approached him and offered his hand, he accepted the offer and sat up slowly looking at the helpful stranger. "Thank you... I-I'm sorry for the commotion I caused, that wasn't my intent..." Thasus picked up his bag which had fallen to the ground the same time he did and checked the bag to see if it's contents we're alright.
"My name is Thasus by the way... I've recently arrived in Khan Yunis and if it were possible could you show me around here? or at least perhaps somewhere someone like me could make a few coins?" He was hopeful but why would the random man who helped him up suddenly wish to be buddy buddy with the young pupil? Who knows,Thasus did remark though this mans way of speech was awfully strange and something seemed off about him, not in a bad way but in an odd way... Perhaps it was just his young imagination or he was a mage who is giving off some kind of magical aura? Thasus was still new to the whole "Magic" thing anyway.
Back to thinking of his father again, he wondered what he was doing in Khan Yunis in the first place? Was mother here? Why does he seem so cold and distant all of a sudden? Perhaps he may seek these answers out, or just let them be at peace. But for know he has to focus on his next step in the wonderful city of Khan Yunis...

Aeos gently guided the young man away from the middle of the market road. He frowned a bit at Thasus's troubles. Normally, he would offer the lad some coin. But the dragon didn't have any to spare himself. He was hoping to find his usual sort of work in the ship yard or transcribing a few ancient scrolls in order to help refill his wallet. But something told him that Thasus might not be fluent in dragonic or capable of lifting heavy crates of cargo.
"Child I'd suggest you heading back to thy parents.. but seeing as how they be.. well how one of them acted.. disagreeable just now. It might not be for the best." He raised his hand up to his chin and kept thinking. The dragon in human guise had not expected to have anyone tag along with him so soon. But he'd feel bad if he just left Thasus alone to fend for himself. Khan Yunis offered wonderful opportunities for everyone. Everyone included kidnappers, thieves, and con artists.
"I can show thee around. But first I must make a small stop. If thou would'st like to join me then you be welcome too. Ah.. my apologies for not yet introducing myself. My name is Aeos." He gave the pupil a warm smile and offered his hand to shake. He glanced at own sleeve and realized it's sorry state. We.. still look like crap don't we. He hoped that Thasus didn't judge folks too much on appearances.
"Uh.. please don't.. be discouraged by mine appearance. I hath just returned to Khan Yunis after spending a spiritual journey up in the mountains."
