Eris wasn't entirely certain how it had come to this, but she had evidently stirred up quite the commotion. All she wanted to know was what the ex-soldier had to say about admitting to desertion. He seemed a bit nervous, and Eris was glad for it. Only an idiot only spoke up about deserting an army during wartime, especially when they were in the country they had deserted. Still...Eris hadn't been entirely sure what to do. Bringing him in was probably the best call, but things got...out of hand.
That archer from earlier, the one Eris couldn't help but feel was a touch odd, had approached them now. She seemed to think she knew the deserter and asked her own question, prompting Eris to frown. "Hey, I'm kind of in the middle of something here! Army business. So did you wanna just wa-"
But oh no, it did NOT end there. A white haired man approached as well, some blue haired woman tailing him, and he was talking about a shield or something equally as stupid. Eris practically growled and threw her arms out wide, sucking in a breath before letting them all have it. "OKAY! I get that we all seem to want something from this guy! But one person at a time, all right? I was first, and I'm military, so if you don't mind..."
Eris turned her gaze onto the blue haired man. She had wanted her excitement and now she had gotten. Careful what you wish for sort of deal, it seemed. Still, hauling him off would be more hassle than it was worth. Not only would he likely resist, but Eris wasn't the only one who wanted something from him...or whatever all these people wanted. So Eris sighed, bringing her index finger and her thumb to the bridge of her nose.
"Okay then, deserter. I'll be as stupid as you and just casually mention desertion in public, all right deserter?" Eris looked up at him and sneered. "I asked you this because I'm military. A soldier, like you apparently used to be. So, if I were you, I'd..." Eris sighed. Yeah, she wasn't going to be bringing this idiot in. She doubted he was worth enough to net a promotion or anything anyway. "I'd be a little more tactful when talking about committing crimes punishable by death. Especially since you seem so popular, blue boy"

This wasn't the first time Hal was potentially going to be arrested, but it was for a different reason. He wasn't going to allow it this time, but he didn't want to fight back because of all of the people, he was truly at a crossroads.
Hal took a deep breath before swallowing his fears. "I don't know what side you're on, but do you think it's best to start a fight here?" He replied, this time with more confidence, while slowing reaching for his shield. Then another pair of people showed up, then the woman's tone changed.
"If refusing to fight people you call friends is stupid, then I'm the dumbest around." Thinking back to the battle in his home town, he did fight Sarah who was his friend. But she wasn't the same person he remembered, her ideals were close to Hal's but her method was the opposite. "Anyways, I was talking to an entertainer, he understands where I was coming from. His goals are to bring enjoyment to people in hopes of making them forget the harsh lives people had after the war."
Hal was beginning to feel bold, maybe a little too bold at this point. "Why don't you run along and play soldier somewhere else." It wasn't the best choice of words so to say, but he was still new to this whole tough guy playing hero role. In hindsight he should have thought about what he said more, there was very little chance he would walk away if she decided to take him in.

Aria followed Liam until they were close enough to engage in a proper speech between two people. Aria kept her expression neutral. While she was curious to know what Liam meant about Julius' shield, she didn't want to show it. She wanted to keep herself level headed as she assumed that there was some sort of altercation between the blue haired young man and the orange haired young woman. Apparently they were arguing over something done or not done during the war. The blue haired boy was apparently a deserter of the army while the orange haired one was part of the army. Aria was in a unique position to sympathize with both parties. Aria's youth was spent training with Chewy and her older siblings in order to carve a life for herself in the army. She worked tirelessly in order to see that dream become a reality. But, fate had other plans for her. Shortly after her inauguration into the Bernese army, the capital fell, and the country was plunged into war. She was forced to leave her position before it could even start. Her life after that was spent flying around the country helping the people with whatever came their way.
She glanced at both the blue haired boy and the orange haired girl. The blue haired boy seemed to be defending himself with his words rather then his actions. That was the smart thing to do. This place was too crowded for a fight. Too many innocent people. But, then the blue haired young man insulted the solider, and Aria face palmed.
"You Idiot." She muttered under her breath. It was loud enough for those close to her to hear. She eventually rubbed her hand up and off her forehead. She sighed softly and continued to look on at the situation. She didn't want to intervene but considering this young man had something to do with Liam, she probably would. She reached behind her towards her lance holder and then looked down in disapproval. Her lance wasn't with her. She took it off during her visit home and packed it with the other weapons. These other weapons were on the holsters that were attached to Chewy's saddle. Chewy wasn't here. Well. That's unfortunate.
Meanwhile, At the ranch.
Chewy woke up from her nap. She stretched her limbs and looked around at the familiar landscape. She walked around and poked her head around the corner of the family home. She was hoping to spy Aria among the various humans that were in the ranch. With no visual of the rider Chewy called out. Too which another member of the family responded. She recognized this person as one of Aria's brothers. The one who traded his life of the solider and went to the monastery. The bishop was older then the wyvern remembered but his sky blue hair and scent remained the same. She lowered her head down and allowed the man to pet her. He explained that Aria was in the city enjoying the festivities. Chewy licked and then nuzzled the man in appreciation for the news and took off. The city was about ten minutes away from the ranch on a wagon, but for Chewy, the city was about five. She landed in the clearing on the outskirts of town. Plenty of other wyverns and humans were roaming around here as well.

Eris was grinding her teeth now, so much so that it was giving her an even bigger headache than she already had. The crowd wasn't slowing the blue haired idiot down at all. In fact, it was almost like it energized him. He was going off on all sorts of idiotic speeches now, when that wasn't even the point. She couldn't give a single sh*t about why he deserted, all that mattered was that he deserted. Even with him mouthing off, she was going to leave it alone. Suck it up, swallow her anger or whatever, and just walk away. Keep doing her stupid duty.
But he had to make it personal.
"ALL RIGHT asshole!" Eris stomped forward and reached for the ex-soldier's shoulders, or collar, or anything! She just needed to get a firm grip on him to make him hear her out. "First of all yes, you are the dumbest around. Congratulations, at least you seem proud of that." Her tone was snide and fierce.
"Secondly, don't you dare talk about 'playing soldier'. At least I still AM one! I'm working my ass off, doing my duty for my country!" If he could spout out wyvern shite then so could she. Eris still barely cared about Bern, or even the war provided she didn't wind up on the losing end of it. All that mattered to her was glory and status, but hearing that effort be boiled down to "playing soldier"...it set her off. That wasn't what she was doing...was it?
Agh, hell no!
"And if you think I won't drive my lance up your ass and present your traitorous corpse like a bloody shishkabob to my superiors then keep on talking, blue boy!"

Liam had left this trance like state when he heard the boy talk, being a bitter dragon he couldn't sympathize with him but he understood where he was coming from. That type of thinking was something similar to what Julius had adopted when the two split ways.
"I became a mercenary so I could help people and get paid for it. With that money I could support myself while I picked jobs that aided my goals. While I did take some shady jobs at first, it was merely to get me on my feet after mom died. From there on, if I saw a sick or wounded person I could help pay for their treatment."
Liam wasn't sure if Julius aided people in the way this boy claimed, but he respected it. "I wonder if that's a trait that runs in the blood line." The thought quickly rang through his mind. Then, suddenly the girl reached out and grabbed his shoulder.
There was a fire brewing inside of Liam now, he wasn't sure how the boy got that shield, but he carried it and for now that's all that mattered to the wyrm. As long as the boy held onto his family crest it was Liam's responsibility to protect him. He reached out grabbing the girl's wrist, applying what he felt was 'light' pressure he stared her down, for a brief moment his iris and pupil had shifted into it's normal state, a dragon's iris and pupil.
"I don't know what your 'superiors' would be more impressed with. You bringing in a boy you claim to be a deserter, or me wiping you off my boot in front of them after shoving my foot up your ass."

Things were starting to get heated. Aria raised her hand to her forehead and let out a sigh. Liam was getting fired up. The orange haired woman was getting riled up. This was supposed to be a fun day at the festival not a street brawl. Aria knew full well she had no control over Liam. The dragon man was free to do what he wanted. She had no power over the woman either. She was just doing her job, albeit rather poorly. Most soldiers were supposed to keep a level head, especially in a large crowd like this. Aria sighed softly. She took a step back. She didn't want to be in anyone's way when the weapons or fists started flying. She hoped to high heaven that Liam wouldn't get too hot blooded. The wyvern rider didn't want to see this place turned into a giant crater in the ground.
But, she couldn't just leave them like this. What can I do? She looked around. There was a building behind the red haired one. She slinked off and went inside. Oh it's Pete's inn. Pete wasn't the actual name of the inn. But, it just so happened to be the name of it's current owner. She spied him at the bar and asked for a favor. She handed him some coin and he obliged. Someone on the second floor would empty a bucket of water onto the redhead standing down below. At least she hoped they would be emptying a bucket of water. Aria slipped out the side entrance and waited to give the signal. She was now within line of sight with the blue haired boy. She knocked on the window. This started a chain of signals. The bucket was emptied and Aria ran. She grabbed the blue haired boy by the arm and pulled.
“Come on guy, I'm getting you outta here before things get bloody. Follow me! Quickly!" She spoke to him. And she quickly started to move through the crowds hopefully with blue boy following.

Hal knew he was being very mouthy before the girl in front of him had reacted. With the whole 'being tough' act still being new to him he knew he may take it too far. Before he knew it she had took a hold of him, every fiber in his body told him to resist "arrest" because he couldn't protect the weak in a jail cell, but the "hero" inside of him knew he couldn't because it could lead to more than ruining everybody's fun when a fight broke out.
Suddenly a large hand grabbed the girl's wrist, Hal couldn't help but to follow up it's arm to look at the large man holding it. This guy was larger than anybody the young boy had ever seen. Hal's flight or fight instinct had kicked in seeing this man, it had told him to get as far away from him as possible, he had over a foot on him height wise and even with his armor he was wider than Hal. He was confused by the man's statement of running in the blood line, he had never seen this giant of a man before, at least to his memory. Before he could try attempt to get a handle on this new situation he felt another set of hands on him, pulling him away from the conflict.
Maybe the pair of people showing up was a blessing in disguise? He didn't want to back down from whatever challenge in beliefs that girl threw at him, he also didn't want to bring the innocent people attending this even into it. The man was acting as a distraction while this girl who pulled at him ran into the crowd, leading him away from it.
"Wait. Who are you guys?" Hal asked as he ran behind her.

As far as Eris was concerned, everything was...relatively under control. The man wasn't exactly in a position to resist her. If he DID, he'd be assaulting a soldier. Not the wisest thing to do. Then again neither was announcing to the world that you were a deserter, in the country that you deserted, whilst they were in the midst of a war.
So Eris couldn't exactly count on the man's “sound judgement”.
Unfortunately, for one reason or another, the blue haired dolt had back up. A white haired man strode up to her, an unamused expression on his face as he gripped her wrist tightly. By god did the man have a grip. He didn't look THAT strong...okay, that was a lie, he was a rather large dude. By the feel of it he could wrench Eris' hands clean off the man's chest. She glowered at him, releasing the blue haired man reluctantly. She wasn't about to fight two on two, no matter how much she wanted to.
“Yeah, march up to the army talking about how you kicked the crap out of a soldier.” Eris practically spat. “See how well that ends for you.” Not that she thought he could actually take her, but she didn't need to boast about that. Why the hell was everyone at this festival an idiot? Had to be all the wyvern shite they were smelling. Fumes were screwing with their heads.
Of course, before the conflict could escalate further, Eris felt a literal bucketful of water cascade upon her. She stood there, slack-jawed and positively astounded, as the water soaked her hair and uniform. Eris was in shock, as if she had been gravely wounded. She looked at her hand briefly, in utter disbelief that this had even happened.
For a brief moment it completely nullified her sour mood.
For a brief moment.
“What the hell?!” Eris glared up, snapping at whoever spilled the water on her. Was it some sort of prank? Did this blue haired moron have MORE allies?
Ugh, all of this was becoming way too much for her to handle. If one more stupid thing happened to her then someone was getting stabbed, and as furious as she was she really didn't want that. For a number of reason. So instead Eris just threw her hands up in the air, snorted in derision, and stormed off without another word. Frankly, she wasn't getting paid enough for this crap.

Aria led the blue haired man out of the crowd and into the more open areas for the wyverns. She turned around and saw the blue haired boy had followed her here. Good kid. She took a moment to catch her breath and to check to see if the red headed woman was following them. There were no signs of giant lizard mode Liam. Nor were there people running into or out of the crowd. No chants of a fight or people screaming. Aria let out a relieved sigh.
"Who am I? I'm just a sympathizer who doesn't want to see this day get ruined by fighting. This is supposed to be a happy occasion you know. Do try to keep that uh.. 'leaving your position' comment to yourself though. If you know what I mean." She gently elbowed the young man's side.
"Anyway.. my white haired friend with the eye patch and baby wyvern is interested to know the history of your shield. I think.. he might have known someone who had it once? I don't really know. He blurted out a name and then all that.. happened and well now we are here." She scratched the back of her head.
"Right. Well then, now that we are out of danger. I'm going to go enjoy the rest of the festival. Have some fun and try to stay out of trouble. See ya!" She patted the man on the back and went back into the crowd. She dissipated among the sea of people. Aria maneuvered her way out of the city through one of the side streets and found Chewy in another open area. She was being petted and pampered by a slew of little children. She even rolled over onto her side so they could touch her underbelly and chin. She couldn't help but smile at the antics of the children. She approached Chewy.
"Heya ya big ham. Did you enjoy your nap?" She asked and got a satisfied grunt for a response. The wyvvern moved slowly. Aria told the children to move back as the large wyvern was going to get up. Chewy did just that and she stretched out her large wings. Which left the children in aw.
"You know.. sometimes I forget you are like bigger then the average wyvern." Aria spoke in a slightly sarcastic tone. Chew leaned her head down and licked Aria's face. Then pressed her head against her riders and let out a snort. In reality the red wyvern was smelling the wooden wyvern head decoration she had on.
"Ack! Chew No!" Aria grabbed the thing before Chewy could munch on it.
"This isn't food. Or a chew toy." Chewy let out a small growl.
"Or a replacement you." Another growl.
"Alright. Well.. I'm going to try my luck at some more games. Behave yourself." Aria commanded as she wiped off the wyvern spit from her face. Chewy went right back to lying down and enjoying the attention of the children. Aria shook her head and rolled her eyes. She darted back into the city. The rider knew there was some sort of singing competition somewhere. She had to find it.

"There we were, surrounded by ten!"
"It was three."
"Humongous Deathgoyles!"
"They were bandits."
"Back to back we stood, battered and bruised with little hope of reinforcements! Our trusted and noble wyverns away with no way out!"
"The were running away from us..."
"It was then that I threw away all my fears and rushed in boldly SKEWERING the foes! They got in a few good licks sure but they were no match for our combined strength, isn't that right Angrim!?" Zael threw his arm around his friend for support as his drink sloshed from his mug over his hand and onto his boots.
Angrim sighed but still chuckled. "The story gets more extreme every time he tells it," he informed the crowd that gathered to listen. "In truth, I hear deathgoyles are not something even the most skilled knights can contend with easily."
"That is why we're so COOOOOOL!" Zael declared in his drunken stupor. "Hey now, where are you going!?" he protested as Angrim settled him into a chair.
"I, am going to go enjoy the festivities. I'm thinking of taking a crack at the jousting and I hear there is a singing session."
"Singing? We both know you sound like a dying bullfrog and a slug duking it out." How on Elibe he knew what that sounded like he could never fathom.
"Not for me, and I have a fine voice thank you!" He shook his head his hair ruffling about before resettling. "You know who competes in a singing competition?"
"Wussies?"
Angrim sighed and decided against entertaining him. "Alright, I'm going now." True to his word he left. He wondered how Hel was doing, he let him fly freely for a while now and he hadn't heard any commotion caused by him.
He walked about the fairgrounds taking it all in buying the occasional snack or playing the odd game. He even managed to win a 4th place prize of a tiny wyvern doll. "What am I going to do with this?" He mused. Hel might like it... He then overheard someone singing a familiar tune. It seemed he made his way to the contest.
Angrim slid his way into the gathered crowd and began to watch and listen. He loved good music and the singers, well, if they were pretty it was even better. This time however it was an elderly bard. His voice was scratchy from his advanced years but it seemed to add to the odd song he sang, something about a cat and a wyvern both fighting for the moon's attention?

As the girl pulled away from Liam's grip he simply let go. His goal wasn't to hurt the girl, despite his strong dislike for humans that attempt to bully others because they have "power", it was to deter her from making any rash actions. "Assuming there were any that survived? A wanted poster and a bounty." Liam had almost forgot that Aria was with him, as well as little Julius despite the young wyvern perched upon his shoulder, then suddenly Aria had appeared holding a bucket dumping it's contents upon the woman in front of him.
Liam heard the sounds of Aria running off and caught glimpse of the boy following. Due to Aria's action and this girl's itch to arrest people he waited behind. If she made any motion to follow Liam would step in. He roughly knew how important this 'holiday' was to Aria, she had seemed really excited about it during their journey here so he wanted to avoid raining fire down upon her parade. Staring the girl down she had seemed to be backing off with her statement, Liam letting out a sigh of relief when she turned and stormed off. His next goal would be finding Aria and the boy.
Despite his height advantage over most of these humans he couldn't spot the two in the crowd, more than likely they ducked into a building. Julius let out a cry to get Chewy's attention like he normally had done, the little wyvern thought if it could find Chewy it could find Aria. Liam reached up and patted him on the head. "I don't think that will work this time little guy." He said as he began to wonder around in the crowd hoping to spot one of the two.

Aria walked through the main road. Her eyes darted back and forth between the tents looking for the music. She eventually found it, a tent in a small corner of the road. She approached the registration section outside. The man at the booth told her to sign her name and take a number. Apparently there were prizes to this competition. The winner won a cow, a pig, and some chickens. Aria wasn't in the competition to win. She just wanted to have some fun. But the livestock would be a nice bonus to bring back home. She signed her name and was given a number.
The crowd was made up mostly of peasants and townsfolk. A nice collection of common man, knights, and merchants, all of them sitting around itching to hear some songs. Aria stood in her place and started to think on what she would sing. Her mind went through a checklist of songs that were known. She dismissed songs that made fun of nobility. Others that spoke of Eliminism. She excluded church songs. She needed a song that would appeal to everyone.
A few competitors before her told songs of wyverns. Songs of local heroes. Some did a church songs. Farmers songs. Some people were really good too. Enough to have the crowd sing along and avoid getting hit by moldy fruit. Others were bad. Aria compared them to the screeching of angry cats. The crowd didn't like them. She sighed.
When she was called, she stepped forward and took her place on the small wooded stage. Really it was just a large crate. Either way she took a deep breath and relaxed. After a moment she started to sing. She sung a folk song. One that told the tale of Bern’s founder and his bravery. How he had more strength in one arm then a bull did in his body. She spoke of wyvern, riders, and how they helped found Bern and her army. Her voice seemed to mesmerize the crowd. Her mother's lessons on song were not lost on her. She knew when to raise her voice and when to lower it in order to heighten the effect of her words. She made the song sound both fun and beautiful. When it was done the crowd burst into applause. She took a bow and returned to her place. The competition was not over yet there were still others who needed to sing.

THIS WAS AMAZING. So many people in one place, so many sights and sounds, so many smells and faces all mixing and mingling about with each other. Everyone seemed so at ease, everyone seemed so happy. Well, except some people who seemed a bit peeved about something Qarrad hadn't witnessed, but everyone else seemed really relaxed and happy! Qarrad was too, he'd never had the chance to meet so many people or watch quite so many things flying in the sky.
These things, 'Wyverns,' they were odd. They were kind of like little dragons, like him but thin and stringy, and they had humans riding them for the most part. The ones he had watched had a kind of grace, but it was unlike the way that parakeets flew. They seemed to almost slither through the sky. He liked 'em. Watching them move made him want to tap into the round golden stone he kept tucked into his shirt, to become a Dragon, much larger than the Wyverns that the day seemed to celebrate. Then he could take to the sky with them, and zip about the air with them, though he wasn't sure if they'd like him quite as much as he liked them. However, as the thought had eaten away at him, the words of his papa had echoed in his mind, all the times the man had warned him not to ever transform in front of humans unless it was life or death. That he would frighten them to the point of violence, and that he could hurt far too many of them in a straight fight if such a thing came to pass.
However, for now, the frosty haired drake didn't turn his eyes to the sky. Instead he watched and listened to people singing on a big crate in the middle of a crowd. His papa had only sung sometimes, and other than that the only music Qarrad had ever been truly familiar with was that of the parakeets as they fluttered over head. So the coming storm of ballads and jaunting tunes was welcome to the drake's ears, and he hollered and clapped at the end of every singer's turn, even the one's others seemed to detest. Eventually a woman with long blue hair took to the crate, and sung a song about this 'country' in a voice that was beautiful enough to carry a tale so intriguing! Qarrad bounced up and down once she had finished, and clapped much much louder than everyone around him, drawing more than a few glances.

As the tournament and battle of the voices continued on they had come off of a particularly low note. The musician's string snapped mid performance and the singer was out of tune with the music already, not to mention monotone. Some of the gathered crowd had gone so far as to leave for other entertainment even. It was with a heavy sigh that Angrim had almost done the same but then it was over. All ten verses.
The next person on stage was a woman, just at a glance Angrim could tell she was a rider, though he was unsure what unit she was with. He crossed his arms approvingly and listened to her song. A song of the great founding hero and his accomplishments. It was appropriately unrealistic but it also maintained a sense of realism as though the man could have existed, as he really did.
Throughout he heard very few voices that did not belong and even they were a hushed whisper. She was rather good, perhaps the best, no, maybe second best that he'd seen thus far. He was a real sucker for bouncy songs that the whole crowd claps and stomps to. But as the quality of her voice was concerned she was certainly number one. As her voice grew silent there was a stillness in the air as people got their breaths and prepped their throats for cheers and an uproarious applause. It seemed that the crowd agreed that she was splendid, especially an odd fellow several people over. He looked as though his arms would flail and he'd begin to rise in flight.
Angrim began to slip away out of the crowd, he was curious to speak with the singer, and learn who she worked with, and who knew, perhaps he would make Zael jealous and buy her a drink. Gods only knew what that fool would do if he thought Angrim was getting a lady when he was not. He grinned at the idea.

Aria blushed lightly at the roar of applause she had received. It seemed that there was one man in the audience that seemed to be rather.. enthusiastic about singing. This man had given applause to everyone that sang, even the one who sounded like a sick cat. Whomever he was he just seemed to be someone who liked songs. Aria retreated back to her spot in line. She wondered if the man in the audience was some sort of fool. Not fool in the bad way she just didn't have another word to describe it.
She had read stories and seen children whom developed differently then others. Her brother's clergy took care of a few of them. Those whom were orphaned or kicked out of their family home for being different. She remembered one whom was deaf but he could write poems and stories that touched the soul. Another who was happy all the time and amused by even the simplest of things. Her brother described him as the purest most innocent soul he had ever met. Aria remember smiling when she read that in his letters. Perhaps, this man in the audience was like them, a pure innocent soul. Or he was tone deaf and just really happy to be here. Aria didn't care she was just happy her songs can bring some joy to people.
The first round of singing had finished. The judges, consisted of the local mayor, the head priest of the local church, and the head farmer whom provided the prizes. As well as the audience. Their reactions swayed the opinions of the judges. One by one the less than talented singers were eliminated from the competition. There was a five minute break before the next round of singing. Aria used that time to take a good look at the competitors that remained. Five of them. And one that she knew. She inched over towards the woman with long blonde locks of hair and green eyes.
"Gloria." Aria spoke to her. The fair skinned, sunflower color haired woman turned to look at the sky haired rider. The blonde smiled softly and then smirked.
"Aria." She spoke. Her tone was neutral then it gradually shifted to that of smug superiority.
"Still living the life of a gypsy?"
"Better then living the life of a prisoner." Aria responded right back. The two of them grew up together. United by the faith of the church and then divided by lifestyles. Gloria was the daughter of a wealthy merchant. They owned a good bit of land opposite of Aria's family ranch. They specialized in making leathers and saddles for riders and horsemen alike. They also dabbled a bit in the silk and lumber trade. It was due to this dabbling that they earned more coin and could afford some finer luxuries. Gloria had married the man Aria was betrothed to when Aria rejected the proposal and left her home. Gloria's dress and attire was made of something a bit more higher quality then that of the common man. She was doing well for herself.
"To be honest I'm surprised you are even competing.. I figured singing to win some livestock was beneath you."
"Nonsense Aria. I'm not here for the cows and chickens. Those are merely a bonus. I am here to spread the songs and faith towards those less fortunate then I am."Aria knew this to be poop. Aria knew Gloria loved to sing and entertain as much as Aria did.
"You miss the limelight huh?" Aria spoke casually.
"Ye.." She stopped herself.
"No I don't. A woman of my class should not be focused on such petty things like pride."
"Uh-huh. Well.. how are the children? I recall you were expecting one last year?"
"They are fine and well. Thank the Saint. The we'one is with her nurse maid. Excuse me." Gloria dismissed herself from Aria's company to talk to another person. A man in full armor. Probably her guard. Aria sighed. She knew Gloria was going to bring her best songs to win. Because Gloria loved to win. Aria cracked her knuckles. Challenge accepted. --
And what a challenge it was. Ara and Gloria ended up being the last two competitors left in the singing competition. At this point both women were going to win a prize of something. Either the chickens or the cow. Aria didn't care. Sure the cow would help with a whole lot of things but this win was going to be a matter of prize. Gloria riled up the heart strings of the crowds with her songs of holy life. While Aria riled up the crowd with her songs of valor and Bernese pride. The last song Gloria preformed was one of the eight heroes. Much to Aria's surprise. She earned a wave of applause and cheer from the crowd. Aria's last song was one of the common man. Of a situation that most men had been through. One where their friend had too much to drink and made an ass of himself the night prior. It was familiar enough so that all classes understood it.
By the time it was over and done with the winner ended up being Gloria. Her husband's family had something to do with the tally of the votes. Aria sighed softly. She accepted her second place. The chickens would supply her family with some eggs and meat when they eventually reached the end of their life. She headed off back into the streets and into the crowds. She reunited with her companions and after a bit she returned home. The festival would still be there tomorrow. --
OOC- Since no one else has posted in this for over a month.. I am going to close the thread. Hope everyone had fun. And maybe the second one will be a bit more lively.
