Samantha gave a little shrug at Riviera's comment. She had never really thought about it being hard. That was just the way it was. No one in her town really had a lot of money. If you wanted something, you had to work for it. Sure, it would be nice to have all sorts of money, but in the end what would it really get you? She might be able to buy whatever books and tomes she wanted, but they were so much more rewarding when you had to work and save up the money to get them.
"That's just the way things are in Ilia. If you want something, you have to work hard for it." Sam idly grabbed another book and began to look through the table of contents for it, completely oblivious to Riviera's reaction. She kept slowly reading the contents, trying to decide if the rest of the book was worth pursuing when the blonde asked another question. "Hmm? Maybe. I may return for a bit to see if I can locate a Fimbulvetr tome there. Otherwise, I might keep traveling between here and Lycia, trying to see what else I can learn."
Secretly, Sam had given thought to trying to find Mila and Drei again, but she had no idea where she would even start. The last time she had seen them, they had left her behind in Lycia. Would they even want her back? Would she really want to travel with them again? She wasn't sure, but it was something that she needed to address eventually.
