PvP Rules Buff?

Hi there. I haven't really PvPed much on this site, but I would like to make note that the guidelines for combat here are a bit lacking. At least, in comparison to another site I RP on. The other site (which I'm not advertising) has a very defined system, but that same system is also very open and allows for creativity, unrestricted reactions, and rules in place to prevent metagaming, godmodding, etc. These specific guidelines, systems, concepts, and rules allow for as little confusion as possible, which is something I've experienced a bit of in my short time PvPing here.
There are also several things, like the concept of Shared Time, that are explained very nicely here. While this specific guide to PvP is for a completely different genre, I do believe the guide could be adapted to fit here, and I think it would provide a nice setting for us to PvP in. The rules already in place here are nearly identical to those on the site I linked, but because those in place here are pretty vague in my opinion, there is lots of room for confusion, misunderstanding, and the potential to exploit such vagueness; these can lead to OOC bickering and resentment, which I absolutely hate to see and would like to limit as much as possible. Especially since I'm pretty sure the internet is used by people, and not a bunch of loaded saltshakers
While I don't think it matters much, this is still a suggestion. It doesn't apply to combat against NPCs, (which seems kinda big here with our cliche village defenses), and it doesn't change anything there. I think it is important to have as streamlined of a system as possible, both for overall efficiency and to support smooth IC interaction, while simultaneously minimizing OOC problems. There are also some rules there that are built to keep these types of threads from dying, such as time limits between posts, time limits for the thread overall, and other helpful rules.
As someone who enjoys writing combat, who's focus on building character strength is through combat, and as a frequent PvPer, I believe an updated to the PvP rules would be beneficial.
