Current monster listThe mods had been talking on Skype about site stuff, one subjects we hit upon was monsters. First off we'd like to say anything on that list is fair game but if you have questions about them just send us a PM or even if you want to use something that's not in that list. We're here to work with you, we'll find a way for you to get what you want and it fits in with everything else. Secondly we wanted to do is ask you guys for any other types of monsters you'd like to see added to the site. Just post in this thread for your monster suggestions.

Personally, I think we could do with the entire cast of FE8 monsters, Baels, Gorgons, Tarvos(centaurs), and Cyclops. I'm not including Draco zombies due to the nature of our universe including so few manaketes as is. I recall a hydra appearing in a black ticket thread. A colossal creature like that might be a bit much, but something smaller like sea serpents or mermen(kinda like a sea variant of the Tarvos) could be interesting for ship-faring threads. Variants of undead animals could also be promising. The Madness once sicked an undead bear on me and a few others in a Lycia thread. To build off of that, you could also have additional chimera variants other than the tarvos. For example, manticores or minotaurs. Those are just a few things that come to mind. If I think of anything else, I'll pitch it as well.

As I mentioned in the comments Harpies would be cool. Other variants of giant bugs like a scorpion might be cool too, so long as it does not get redundant. Beyond that though

And another thought has occurred. Some sort of non physical monster like a geist. Only magic can deal with it.

As per skype. Golems. Big rock monsters that give physical units a hard time but are susceptible to magic.
I'm in agreement for harpies/sirens and nerid/merm monsters.
Ghost/ghasts/banshee like monsters would be cool as heck.

Heck, if there is a greater intelligence about the monsters this could allow for morphs. Human-like monsters that can infiltrate.

Banshees don't actually kill anyone with their cry, rather they are an omen of death. And their cry is only heard by those near the soon to be departed, the one who's death is immanent is deaf to their wail. In fact, the Banshee is the spirit of Éire who is crying in mourning for the son/daughter of Ireland who is fated to depart.
Thought I'd stop any attempt to make Banshees a villain as a resident Irish Folklore loving Mod. These ideas look really fun, though.

Given that monsters needed something similar to a hive mind or a greater power like Hargus orchestrating them to really have intelligence, I don't think it'd be good to make monster types with high intelligence on their own. I can see that easily literally spelling out the end of humanity on Elibe if we start making a number of monsters that are that intelligent given their superiority.
Most of these though seem like great ideas honestly.

Ravvus Wiseau Just as a note, all the Sacred Stones monsters are already here (excluding dracozombies). Baels were actually the first SS monsters spawned a few years back I believe, and the rest have followed. Sea critters are a great idea though! Perun so... Taguel? huehuehue. Otherwise I see a LOT of really f**k**g cool ideas here. Golems are my f**k**g jam, whatever the type, whether they be like clay golems or animated constructs. Automatons in general. Steampunk or arcanepunk automatons could both fit in the setting in LIMITED quantities, probably as relics of pre-Scouring Elibe. Giant bugs remind me of that secret mission in Red Alert with the various types of fire/scout/warrior ants, which is awesome, and other sorts of murder bugs could be cool too. I also like Ravvus's little Nether wraith thing. If it'd fit lore, it could be cool to have that sort of thing happen. Isn't that kinda like what Madness uses?

I don't mean like, Machiavellian Vampires, I'm just more into like, cool ass Dryads that just want to chill and protect a forest, and you have to give them a gift to get through the woods. Stuff like that. If we're gonna go from Low to High Fantasy, why limit ourselves to things with the only motivation being to destroy things?

Well, if we already have the entire SS monster cast, then the current monster list really should be adjusted accordingly, lest it confuse newbies and dumb standing members.
