As Euphemious brought the barrel of water into the house he began to think on Yasin's words. he was in a different land and with different people. He did not think much about mentioning Bern due the very fact that he had never really left his home. Bern was all he knew and thus being a knight of Bern was never a disgrace or a reason for someone to take vengeance or attack. Now however he was not in Bern. He was not in his home nation. He was out in the world and in Nabata of all paces. the one place where he could not wear his armor. Without it Euphemious felt vulnerable. In his plate armor Euphemious was sure he could take on any attack. Without it he felt like he could die from a little scratch. It was starting to dawn on him that he was a bit too accustom to it. Maybe he needed to take some time off and fight without it, or maybe he simply needed to put it back on. At this moment he was not sure.
As they entered the house everyone was assigned a new job. They were getting ready for this Shark hunting Aeos had talked about. Euphemious had never seen a shark, but from what he heard it was a magnificent creature. Still he wondered why they needed spears. Aeos said it was a fish and that it lived in the ocean. If it was a fish in deep waters then one would need a rod and rope, not a spear. Maybe there was something else Aeos did not mention about these creatures.
"That is probably for the best", spke Euphemious as he took the spears. "I have been fighting with spears my entire life and I can say without a doubt that I have never seen a more dull point", spoke the Genera as he began to work on the weapons. His mind could not help but wonder back to his days as a child. When there old house keeper had taught them how to sharpen a spear and wield there weapons in battle. Omar was a good man to raise them as he did. He could have sold them out or even abandon them. Euphemious would be eternity grateful to him. As Euphemious came out of his day dream he was blindsided by Yasin's questions. He wanted to know about Bern and the status of it.
"Well currently Bern is entering into a brief moment of peace. Ilia is pulling back and is returning to there own nation. You may not have known this but the line of Hartmut had ended several years ago. With Bern back in the hands of is people we no longer have a royal blood line. As a result the nation is ruled thought a council of the Dragon Generals. I for one don't like this new system. If you asked me for my opinion they should have placed Aiden on the thrown. The fire Emblem had accepted him and thus he should have been king. Still that is a topic for another time. As for the geography I can't tell you if it is as you remember it, but there is still a lake. Though I am sure it is much smaller than you are thinking. It serves as a central water supply for central Bern. The outskirts gain there water thought rivers and snow fall. Now the Wyverns, which are the small dragon things, are a subject of controversy. After the war Bern has been cracking down on Wyvenrs. They want to keep them all inside of the home nation and the idea of a egg getting out will cause a ruckus in the guard. Wyverns are the pride and joy of Bern. I think hit has something to do with flight. Man kind has always dreamed of flying. People just can't seem to get enough of it. Me personally, I am not into it. I like to keep my feet on the ground. A friend of mine once forced me to take a ride on the back of his wyvern. Scared the bejesus out of me."
As the general talked he sharped the spears to a fine point. So fine that he was sure you could stab though chainmail with it.

And so the family listened to Euphemious talk about Bern. Aeos rolled his eyes slightly at Euphemious speech about the war in Bern. He had heard about it enough times on the boat. That the country had been returned to the people and ruled by a sort of council rather than a king. And he was also mildly annoyed that Euphemious was talking about Bern so seriously. Would getting him drunk get him to talk normally? The other half of him quipped. Surely, his parents wouldn't have cared about who ruled what, or what regulations were in place. Aeos quietly went about tying the net together.
"How does one even do that?" Joury spoke out loud.
"Keep all the wyverns within the borders? If they can fly and nest in the mountains beyond the borders?" She asked while stirring a wooden spoon, inside a pot. The meal was slowly starting to come together. The food smelled delicious and gave the home a welcoming feel.
"I think he means regulating the borders they can patrol. Like the gates and such." Yasin corrected as he began sharpening the harpoon.
"Yes, flying is amazing." Aeos spoke with some cheer in his voice. He kept it low enough so it couldn't be heard through the walls. He loved flying in his dragon form.
"Oh? Have you gotten better at it 'amal? You should have seen him Euph. In the very beginning of learning how to fly.. he crashed so much.. His body made so many painful looking craters in the mountains." She spoke with some small concern in her voice.
"You would have thought the mountains were being ravaged by meteors with all of the crashes." Yasin spoke nonchalantly.
"But, it's truly an exhilarating feeling to soar through the air." Joury quipped. Her mind was full of nostalgia for the days before the Scouring. For the days were her serpentine body could glide through the air as if it were swimming through the seas. Her green scales shimmering in the sunlight.
"You see Euphemious, we lost the ability to change, long long ago. Perhaps we will take a trip to Bern and experience flight on the back of a wyvern. The riders offer rides for a fee no? Or is that only during the festivals?" Joury asked with some hope in her voice. Yasin finished sharpening his spears and set them aside. He casually walked over to see how the boys were doing. Aeos was quick with his fingers and about a quarter of the way done with the construction of the net.
"Euphemious, that's a fine point you have there on the spear. The sharks are going to hate it." Yasin spoke with a bit of a grin.

As Euphemious sat there among them two things came to mind. The first was a family, something he had missed out on thanks to politics in Bern. The second was about how much humans and dragons were alike. You would think with one race living for thousands of years that they would be completely different from each other. However Euphemious could see a lot of similarities. Dragons were not that much different. It kind of made Euphemious wonder about what happened in the past. Why was there a war? Why were the dragons slaughtered. All throughout his childhood Euphemious was taught that Hartmut was a hero. A mighty man who brought the dragons to there knees and banished them from Bern. Now looking at them Euphemious began to wonder if Hartmut was truly a hero. Was he really divine. For all he knew Hartmut could be as evil as the Demon King Hargus. The great Heroes that filled the human stories could be no better than great murders who slaughtered innocent families. War is war, but genocide, now that was something different.
Pulling his mind back into the conversation Euphemious took a look at Aeos. "You see Aeos this is why I never took that ride with you", he chuckled. "I would prefer to not be a speck on the side of a mountain."
As the conversation moved on Aeos parents began to ask him about the Wyverns. Wyverns were a complicated matter in Bern. It was true that wyverns nested where they wanted, but the riders of Bern had some how contained them. Now Euphemious was not saying that there were now Wyverns no where else in the world, but Bern had a strict control over them. He did not know how they did it, but he knew they did. "Oh as for the rides on the back of the Wyverns", expunged Euphemious as he sharpened another spear tip. "Most of the time the riding is free during festivals. Afterward it really depends on the rider and how there mount feels about letting you ride. However if you all do take a trip to Bern you can stop by the Lowlander Estate", spoke the General as he got up and walked over to his armor. Reaching into a hidden pocket Euphemious pulled out a small emblem that held the seal of clan Lowlander. He walked over and handed it to Aeos' mother Yasin. "Give them this and tell them that Greggory Lowlander sent you. They will give you all the free riders you can stand", spoke the General as he moved back over to his spears. He did not mind giving away the seal. That was its purpose after all. For Euphemious to express his own personal control over his family affairs while not being there himself. Of course the knights will confiscate the seal after its use. He would retrieve it the next time he visited the estate.
"It better be", chuckled Euphemious towards Yasin's remark. "As long as old Omar spent teaching me how to sharpen a point the spear better make the standard. The old man would turn in his grave if I could not make a good spear. While most people take pride in a well crafted sword or there skills with a mount the Lowlander family takes great pride in our skill with the spear. We must not only know how to use one, but how to make one, maintain one, and even hos to break one. You might not know it but my family line holds generations of knights. That tradition goes all the way back to the ...", Euphemious stopped himself. He did not want to bring that up. "Well it goes back really really far", spoke the General as he went back to his work.
For a moment Euphemious almost forgot that these two lived thought that time. They also lived in Bern during that time. More than likely they meet Euphemious great great ancestor or at least heard of him. The lowlander family might have even threaten them. Euphemious had not thought about that. Even now the General held onto a dragon axe. It was buried in the bottom of his things inside of his chest, but it was still there. His families undeniable legacy. Now he began to wonder if it was a smart idea to give them that seal. Maybe a piece of paper with his signature could have been enough. At the very least Euphemious preyed that the seal did not bring back any harmful memories.

Aeos sighed at Euphemious comment about being a speck on the ground. He would have argued that his landings have gotten better since the early days of his transformations. But, he couldn't. His flying was superb but his landings were not. Sometimes he flew in too fast or too slowly. Either he'd crash as a giant dragon like he did when he first met Euphemious or he'd crash as a human. Given the two options, he preferred crashing as a giant dragon rather than a smaller human. At least the dragon had scales and hide to act as a cushion for most blows.
"Your old man Omar taught you well. Good! Good! An extra spear man would help with tomorrow's fishing. I will be looking forward to your help Euphemious." Yasin gave euphemious a firm pat on the back.
"Oh, Yasin. I really wish you wouldn't recruit our guest to go out fishing with you. He's probably exhausted from the boat ride."
"I know I am." Aeos quipped. The trip did take a lot out of him. He just had it hidden because he was so excited to have Euphemous come home with him. His eyes had given him away though. Dark under eye circles that only a good nights rest could cure.
"You have to be up by dawn to fish. Not enough time to recover from months at sea." Joury continued.
Yasin took the emblem that Euphemious presented and studied it for a moment. A flaming bird with spears and swords in the iris of it's eyes. Yasin wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He turned it around for a moment in his hand as if he had seen it before. Somewhere in the ancient past. Joury took a moment to step away from the hearth to look at the insignia.
"Oh it's a pheonix. How charming." She tapped Yasin on the shoulder.
"I've got dinner almost done. But I see a lack of plates and cups on my table." She spoke with a bit of a sing-song voice before getting back to the pots and pans.
"I do think we are overdue for a trip to Bern. Euphemious we will take you up on this offer. Sometime soon, probably during the summer." He spoke and started to move about the house gathering the various wooden bowls and cups. Aeos finished his task with the fish net and hung it up on the wall. He then joined his dad in setting the table. He filled the cups of water while Yasin arranged the cutlery. Four forks and four spoons. Joury took the bowls and filled them each with it's fair share of spicy meat strips, onions, and peppers. Each bowl was set on the table. Another small bowl was filled with goat cheese. As well as a small bowl of hummus. With the meal prepared and set it was time to eat. The spears and fishing preparations could wait until after the food was done.
"You can put the spears down Euphemious. Come, sit, eat."

"I am up for it", spoke Euphemious as he continued to sharpen the spears. The general had come all this way to see a shark an he would not wast a minute. It was true however that he was tired from being on the ship, but that did not stop him from wanting to go back out there. It was just another trip on the water, the same thing he had been doing for the entire journey to get here. Besides Euphemious needed to see how good his spear work is. It would be a darn shame if his spear killed one of the water beast and he was not there to see it. No Euphemious could not have that.
"I don't know about Aeos, but I am good for going out in the morning. I came out here for the sharks and sand after all. If I spent my first morning simply lying around the house I would waste precious time. Besides I have not had a chance to really meet any of the locals. With this being a fishing town all the respectable men will be out on the waters. It would be a good opportunity to see how they work."
As Aeos mother began to talk about the emblem Euphemious coul not help but speak up. He knew there could be some danger in the item, but the Phoenix was the pride of his family and the people of Phoenix falls. "Yeah, the Phoenix marks our region. The section of Bern I live in is known as the Phoenix Falls. The entire area is surrounded by two rivers that meet at one point and then drop off into a large water fall. Legend has it that the waterfall was created when a Phoenix descended from the heavens and scorched the earth. The rivers were redirected to put out the fires and as a result they flow into the canon till this day. Of course that is all legends. There is no proof that Phoenix ever existed. However it is a found story people tell there children before they put them to bed."
As the general finished talking he put the spears down and joined the family at the dinner table. It was another event that Euphemious had not really known. At this point however he had forgotten what his parents faces looked like, but he imagined it would have been just like this if his family had never fallen in the first place. Family, Euphemious wondered if he would ever have one of his own one day. Would they all sit around a table like this and enjoy a nice meal. Or would they all be slaughtered like his father and mother before. The price of nobility is steep.

Aeos sighed. If Euphemious was ready and willing to go out and fish in the morning, then he'd have to join him. Even though his body would protest. He knew he HAD to do it. Not just to show Euphemious the splendors of the sea but to also protect him. Sharks are dangerous creatures. They are the predators of the sea and have a mouth full of sharp teeth. Euphemious had never seen one up close before. He did not know how they acted. He did not know their destructive capabilities.
"Yeah, I'll go in the morning too." He looked disheartened. Part of him was looking forward to sleeping in. Now that dream was gone. As Euphemious spoke about the legend of the Pheonix, Yasin couldn't help but smile. It was funny how life turned around. The story of the phoenix reminded him of the son of an old friend. A fire dragon. A child. Who had a terrible time at landings just like Aeos. Except he was still a child and didn't much control over his element. Such a small child he did not deserve to die.
"What an interesting myth." He spoke with a bit of seriousness. Joury put her hand on his shoulder. With that little bit out of the way, the conversation shifted. Joury asked for more stories about Bern and her people. She wanted to know more of the forests. Or the adventure he had with Aeos in the caves. In exchanged they told stories of Nabata. Of old legends and fish stories. They also gave him an idea of what to expect tomorrow. With dinner over, Aeos helped out with the evening chores. Joury would take to doing the laundry. Yasin went about preparing the outside tent for the guests. The tent outside was pretty big. There was plenty of room for two people and it resembled a yurt. A tent with a circular pattern that could easily be disassembled. There wasn't much in the tent save for a chest and some crates. There was still plenty of room for guests. bed rolls were arranged. The only thing it did not have was a fire. Light would have to be supplied by lantern.
Aeos made himself comfortable in one of the bed rolls. It was warm and lined with animal furs.
"Night fall in the desert gets cold. The sand holds some heat but it fades. You might want to bundle up. Mom brought us some extra blankets."

The conversation was interesting. For a while they swapped stories like trading blows in a fight. One would give a tale and the other would respond with one of there own. It was a nice evening. However like all good things it had to come to a end. They had shark hunting to do in the morning so they could not stay up too long. As Euphemious guessed the moment that they got there he was going to have to sleep outside. It was unavoidable really. The place he was staying was picked to support a family of three and Euphemious had racked the number up to four. Not to mention that the General was much bigger than your normal person. His broad shoulders and wide back made it difficult to find a place for him to sleep, and as a result they had to sleep in the tent. Still Euphemious was not going to simply leave his armor inside of the house. He trusted Aeo's family well enough, but he needed to keep the black steel by him at all times.
"I think I will be fine", spoke the general as he laid on the floor. His black steel hugged tightly around his muscular frame. It was good for Euphemious to be wearing his armor again. The general felt so vulnerable without it. The cold night meant he would not overheat and his armor was designed to keep out the cold. Euphemious had slept in his plate before so it was no biggy to him. Thought he was sure Aeos was probably calling him crazy. However the general could not simply ignore his call to armor up. It was the only time in which he could actually do so. The hot days sun would force him to take it off again and once again he would be placed in a position of vulnerability. With a fearsome Clank Euphemious turned over to his back and looked up at the top of the tent. His eyes lids closed tight and the General allowed the exhaustion of long travel to take him to the land of dreams.
Dreams are strange things. They show you things you want to see and things you don't want to see. They take you to places you belong and places where you can not exist. Euphemious dreams were just as weird that night. At one point he was flying with dragons and on the other he was feasting with his great ancestor. The two Euphemious meet and began to fight. The general had no idea what was truly going on as he was watching this thing from afar not as himself, but as his armor. Eventually however both sides exhausted themselves and were forced to take a break. In the end he could not tell which one was witch. Then ..., he was awake.
Euphemious had awaken before the dawn. It was still dark out when his body had called him into action. His heavy black armor clanked as he got off the ground and stood to his feet. Looking around Euphemious had forgotten where he was for a brief moment and then it all came back to him. "Right, visiting Aeos parents", he spoke to himself. Grabbing his fabled Guan Dao off the ground Euphemious exited the tent. He could only prey that his armor did not wake Aeos. There were a few things the General needed to do before they started the day and the terrible sun rose up. He needed to train.
"One", spoke Euphemious as he began to swing his Guan Dao. He had no true target, but the general was simply testing his swing. "Two", he spoke as he made a second swing. The black armor followed his every motion. The general continued to practice as the wee hours of the night came to a close. The bitter cold was beaten back by the sweat of the body and the warm embrace of the General's armor.

Of course Euphemious put his armor back on. The man had quite the obsession with his metal shell. Then again he could kind of understand why. Aeos had a similar relationship with his stone. He wasn't overly fond of pulling the necklace off his body. And in the few times where he did it was usually to put it in his pocket or in a sock. Now, while he could sympathize with this act, he didn't exactly like it. Specifically, he didn't like the fact that every time Euphemious moved at night the armor would clang. And he could hear it. And wake up. Then fall back to sleep only to have the same process repeat itself in an hour or so. Needless to say Aeos had a rough night.
He was on his side, awake, when he heard the lumbering iron giant wake up. He moved out of the yurt and went outside. What a relief. He breathed a sigh of relief. At least now he could get some sleep before the sun rose. Or at least he tried to. But, this time, he was keeping himself awake. His mind racing with thoughts. What did Euph think of his folks? He remembered that Euph didn't exactly have a family home. Aeos couldn't exactly imagine his own life with out his parents. They sheltered him. Doted on him. Taught him. He wouldn't know what would happen if they were taken away from him. They had lived so long.. seen so much. Those thoughts woke up his stone. It was subconsciously reacting to his would be grief or anger. He shook his head, his hair fluttered in every which way. He calmed his emotions. He got up.
Certain bones in his body creaked. He stretched until they cracked in place. And then he yawned. It wouldn't be long now until Yasin let out his ceremonial call to the wild. The same greeting to the heavens he would give every morning for the last several centuries. And then Joury would tell him to quiet down because it was either disturbing her, the chickens, goats, or camels. And then the rooster would crow as if to add insult to injury.
He pulled himself out of his sleeping bag. Then he went outside.
"Good morning. Euphemious." He greeted the armored man before he trudged out towards the back end of the house. To where the outhouse was.

"Three Hundred and forty one", puffed the general and he swung his weapon. His furrowed brow intensified as his focus increased. In the past Euphemious could imagine the Ilians he would face on the battlefield. He could see there armor, weapons, and shields. He would imagine his opponent and then strike them down. Now however things were different. Euphemious did not have a ideal target. He was a freelance now. He no longer had a direct enemy and as a result his training had shifted. He was no longer fighting against Ilia, but was fighting against himself. All morning Euphemious was fighting Euphemious. He was battling his own weaknesses and his own doubts. A part of him wanted to remain in the Bern army and serve as a knight. A part of him wanted to simply wonder the world and see all it had to offer. A part of him simply wanted to form a family and live out the rest of his days as dad. Three choices pulled at him constantly, three different desires. Euphemious had to constantly fight to keep them all aligned and moving in a single direction.
"Morning", huffed the General as Aeos passed by. It seemed that the wee hours were starting to fade. The General understood that the sun would probably rise soon and with it would come the intense heat of the Nabata desert. The general had no choice, he would have to part. Walking back toward the tent Euphemious began to take off his armor. Each black piece held a scratch and a mark, where it had saved either his life or defended one of his allies. The general was proud of every scratch and loathed the idea of taking it off. However the sun ruled this land and it's decree stripped him of his armor. Reluctantly Euphemious placed his armor into a thick chest and locked it away.
"I am going to have to look into it", spoke the General aloud. He wanted to avoid this, but he knew he had to do something. Euphemious loved his armor, but for the time being he had to put it away. At the same time however he also felt extremely vulnerable without it. Euphemious never really liked magic, but he was going to have to look into it. Maybe he could get some mages to enchant some armor. Euphemious really did not know to be honest. He would have to investigate some time later on. Today they had sharks to hunt and that needed to be his main focus. The general had never seen a shark, but from what he heard they were fearsome creatures.

Aeos didn't hear Euphemious comment regarding his armor. He was already on the way towards the outhouse. From the home, the two older dragons were up. The hearth had been turned on and there was the scent of smoke in the air. Yasin had done his ceremonial greeting to the morning and was out with the animals. He and Joury had collected some eggs and goat milk. The animals were soon fed and watered.
Joury walked out towards Euphemious with a mug of cool water. She had seen the knight train earlier and figured he could use the drink. She then ushered him inside before the sun got too harsh. By the time Aeos emerged out of the outhouse there was the familiar scent of coffee and fried egg in the air. Aeos quickly washed his hands with some water and entered the home.
After about an hour or so there was breakfast on the table. Flat bread, eggs, coffee, and fresh goat cheese. There was also a small jar of preserved blueberries in the center to add a small bit of sweetness to the meal. A cool pitcher of water was also on the table. Small sardines were also in the meal however they were usually reserved for Yasin. Joury and Aeos didn't particularly like the salty little fish so early in the morning. Money was a bit tight this time around. Normally during shark season they'd have a bit more meat. Usually either a slice of ham or more goat meat. Sometimes even pickled shark meat.
"Since, when did you two drink coffee?" Aeos asked as he looked into his cup. He was accustomed to the early drink being a tea of cloves and goat milk.
"Ever since we had a merchant start selling it in town. He gave us a sample and we loved it! The animals seemed to like it too." Yasin responded as he did one final check of the fishing equipment they would use.

"Thank you", spoke Euphemious as he took the water. It was exactly what the general needed at that time. The general was going to continue for a bit longer, but the queen of the manor had made her decision. Euphemious was forced into the house where he washed his hands and prepared himself for the meal that was to come. Ironically enough Euphemious had accidental dragged his Guan Dao into the house with him. The mighty regal blade gleamed in the new morning light. The dragon mouth guard and finely crafted blade made the weapon a exquisite piece. Letting it lean on the wall Euphemious took a seat at the table. He sat there for a moment and then got up. The general could not stand simply sitting around. He helped set the table.
"Humm", mused Euphemious aloud as he picked up one of the small fish. He had never had one of these. Bern was a long surrounded by mostly mountains and valleys. It was true that they had a coast, but Euphemious had never visited it. Most of there food stopped around the nearest mountain and toward the middle, where Euphemious comes from, sea food was not a option. Taking a bit out of the little fish Euphemious realized that there was a entirely different world of food to try. He loved it! The saltiness, the tang, and the bit ability of each little fish. It was perfect for him. Since the other two seemed to be avoiding it Euphemious scooped up about half of them and relocated them to his plate. He then took a piece of bread, a slice of cheese and turned the little delicious monsters into a fine sandwich.
With thirst setting in Euphemious took a swig of his coffee. The twisted expression on his face let everyone know how he liked the brew. It was to heavy, to bitter, too, well black if you could describe it as such. Euphemious was not a coffee man. The general placed the mug down and instead gained himself a glass of water. He wolfed down the cold liquid in a effort to clean his mouth of the taste of the coffee and then poured himself another glass. Eating hardy was part of the General's Knightly training, but he held back at the breakfast table today. There was not enough food for him to really go at it, not to mention he had no idea what he was going to run into on the water. It would be a sad day indeed if Euphemious died in the sea because he was to full to swim.
"Alright time to get to work", spoke the general as he rose from the table. He grabbed his dishes and moved them over to the sink. Using a cup full of water Euphemious washed any particles that were left from his plate and then set them aside to be scrubbed later. He then walked over to his Guan Dao and pulled it off the wall. Strattling the weapon across his shoulders Euphemious walked up to Aeos. "So, how fearsome are these sea tigers suppose to be", chuckled Euphemious as he remembered the old sailors warnings.

Aeos sat contently eating what he could. Most of his meal consisted of a bread and cheese with just one fish. He knew better then to scarf down all the food with his parents around. There was enough for everyone to eat and be satisfied with the meal but not enough to be full. Which was fine. Yasin commented on Euphemious's enjoyment of the fish.
"Ha Ha! The boy likes the sardines." He grinned.
"Oh good. Then he can have as many as he likes. I can't stand the salty devils so early in the morning." Joury commented before taking a sip out of her hot drink. Breakfast was a normal affair. Joury thanked Euphemious for putting away his dishes in the sink and for setting the table.
"That's a great lance there Euphemious. Looks like it's based from a regal lance. Though the design is a bit different then the standard." Joury commented. Joury dabbled in all manner of weaponry. In all the years she's been alive she has learned how to wield poles, bows, and daggers. Skills she tried to teach her son in the centuries she has had him for but so far the boy seemed to have had an interest in the pole more then the spear. Yasin knew his way around a spear, axe, and sword. Although his preference was for the axe. There were one or two weapons hung on the walls as decorations. A glass framed box of ornate daggers and a trident. The trident looked like it was made of silver but there were inscriptions on it in old runic. The daggers bore similar runes. Weapons once used in ceremonies of the distant past but now hung inside the home of dragons as conversation peices. Outside was a small forge that had an old but heavy hammer used in smithing.
"Tiger sharks. And Bull sharks. Among others but it's mostly tiger sharks." Aeos commented. After a bit of prepping the men gathered their fishing belongs and headed out towards the ocean.

The docks, thought Euphemious to himself as he carried the bag of spears. He had been here when they had first gotten off the boat, but today it seemed completely different. There were no major ships coming in so things were not as organize as before. The people here were focused on there own little trade ships and making preparation for Shark hunting. Among the many fishermen ready to go out on the water there were several more shady individuals lurking around. These people were also out hunting, but they were not looking for sharp tooth fish. No there goal was that of coin and the profit of slicing human flesh. There eyes jumped from one person to the next like a hungry lion searching for its prey. There eyes eventually fell upon Euphemious and the gang and so came the whispers at there back.
It was not the first time that anyone had ever sized up the Bern Soldier and he was sure it was not going to be the last. If he was back in his homeland or any place that was not nabata he would be sure that they were focusing on his heavy armor. It would always catch a pretty penny on the market, but it was always a great deterrent for any would be thief. the plates were to thick and organize for a simple knife to get though and striking for the vulnerable spots left one far to open. In this case however it was not the general's armor that gained everyone's eye, but rather his fancy weapon. There was no way Euphemious was going to leave the Black Dragon behind. His regal guan dao would have been to much of a target for wold be thieves and the shack was far to undefended. The extra burden placed on Aeos' mom would also something Euphemious would not allow. So he opted to bring it with him. Let his regal blade taste the flesh of of sea tigers. Instead the group gained a few extra eyes not focusing on them and a great target being placed on the generals back.
"Well the docks seem to be active", spoke Euphemious as he shouldered the many spears he had sharpened the day before. The general and bound them up using three separate ropes and placed a old sack around the bundle altogether. Wit the top half of the spears sticking out Euphemious carried there fish slayers on his right shoulder and Black Dragon in his left arm. He left the nets and other equipment to the father son duo.

"The docks are always active." Yasin spoke. He and Aeos walking alongside Euphemious. They knew the docks. They knew the people. The docs were full of people, good, bad, thieves, sailors, pirates, wenches, merchants, and fishermen. Yasin nodded and waved to the few he knew and he kept a cautious eye over the other two men. Aeos was also keeping an eye out for Euphemious and his father. Yasin led them along towards his boat. It was a medium sized rowboat. Strong. Sturdy. And bigger then Aeos remembered. It had a metal circular hook on it's front and back. Meant to tie ropes that held the harpoons onto the boat. The boat and it's passengers would wear the creature out before pulling it in to be poked full of holes. A grim way for the shark to die. But, they needed to eat. A tactic reserved for medium to large sized sharks. They were expecting to bring back at least one medium shark. If not several small ones that can be turned into stew for the evening meal. A big one would have more meat that could be used to pickle or they could sell it. "You got a bigger boat?" He remembered the other one fondly. The little canoe like boat they had. "Aye my 'amal. The funds you gave us on your last visit went to a bigger dingy. It's twice the size of the old one which means we can haul a bit more catch." He spoke as he went about inspecting the craft. He went about loading the vessel with their belongings. A bucket of chum. Rope. Net. The shell ringers. Fishing knives. He even set up a lean-to roof made of wooden poles that went into specific holes. Rope. And a large tarp. This would give them shade from the blazing Nabatan sun. With everything set up, Yasin told the boys how to enter. Euphemious would go first. Aeos in the middle. And He'd be in front.

Bigger boat, thought Euphemious as he looked at the boat. It seemed, well, small to him. Euphemious was a general. That meant he wore the heaviest armor, and had to have the most massive of muscles. To put it lightly Euphemious was a big guy. Looking at that boat he wondered if it would take all of there weight and the weight of what fish they caught. Then again ships are known for being able to carry large amounts of goods over long distances. The laws behind water and floating are lost to Euhemious, but he was sure that these aged dragon sailors probably knew more than he did.
Taking a moment with the two of them talking Euphemious pulled out a rope and tied it to his Guan Dao. He did not plan for it to fall overboard or for him to actually use it, but just in case it was secure to something so he could get it back. Nothing would be worse than Euphemious losing Black Dragon to the sea. His Guan Dao was probably his most valuable object and the General was looking forward to passing it onto his son or daughter that came after him.
"Alright lets see if I can find my sea legs", chuckled Euphemious as he moved to enter the boat. This would be a grand adventure. Euphemious only preyed that they did good today. Nothing was worse than starting off a adventure with a failure. Crawling into the boat Euphemious discovered he had more room than he thought, that was a good thing. Still his Guan Dao was forced to stretch across the rafters. It and the rest of the spears. He would rather have it close, but with the other spears laying over it, it did not bother him much. His main focus now was on finding and catching a shark.
