With the war with Ilia over, Bern is in a serious need of rebuilding. The problem? Lack of funds. With lords not too fond of the idea of them ponying up the bill they suggest the use of taxes, with an idea that wouldn't cause the people to revolt against them. They needed something to increase gold flow to merchants to the point they wouldn't mind paying said tax. Perfect solution, but what would draw in people for that? Looking at past success stories they had spread word to all of Elibe about another grand tournament taking place in their prized arena.
The sign up period will last a week, then start shortly after that once brackets are made up. The full rule set will be posted along side the brackets, the ones I will list here are the following: This is an event so it will take up a plot topic slot and there will be a time frame if you don't post you forfeit, which is 3 days. That way the entire event isn't held up due to somebody not posting for a week each time. Post here for which character is going to enter.
