Name: Ariadne
Class: Squire
Age: 15
Born in: Ilia
Appearance: Ariadne is particularly small in frame, leading her to be unable to carry large things. ( I.E Axes. ) Her eyes are a dullish red, and her hair is an incredibly light blonde. She stands at approximately 5'3", and has rather pale skin.
Ariadne dons her armor in shades of pink, along with a headband and ribbon attatched tidily to her ponytail. Her hair is actually particularly long, and she ties it up to ensure that enemies cannot gain an advantage.
Personality: Ariadne generally comes off as meek and silent, disliking conversation with others; especially if they seem intimidating. She commonly seems like a coward, screaming in fear at the smallest insect, or even a wyvern. However, in battle, Ariadne is incredibly enthusiastic, and wants nothing more than to support others; even though she struggles to communicate with most. ( Her crippling fear of Wyverns still remains, however. It's because of an incident when she was chased by one whilst sneaking away to watch Pegasus Knights train. It wasn't even that big! )
She's incredibly enthusiastic about Pegasi and Heroes of lore, and even incredibly grisly topics --- and will probably open up to someone more if they engage in such topics with her. However, as of her family's bad reputation, she fears being judged; thus, she seems to try and lie a lot to get out of speaking of it. ( Note: She's a terrible liar. ) Although she's particularly clumsy with a lance due to her little experience beyond watching people train, Ariadne wants nothing more than to someday become someone who can protect others.
History: Ariadne was born to a family of priests and priestesses in Ilia; of whom were beginning to struggle in terms of money after becoming lazy and cruel many years ago with their riches, leading them to gain a bad reputation. The heiress to the bloodline, Ariadne was expected to one day become a great and elegant priestess, to bring them the fortune they once had.
However, Ariadne was fascinated by combat, and the epic endeavors of warriors. The idea of devoting herself to her destiny quickly began to fray, and she began to abandon her studies in favor of sneaking out to watch Pegasus Knights train.
Her parents eventually became concerned of her sudden and frequent absences; and questioned her on it. It was then, it all came out; how Ariadne didn't wish to become a priestess, and instead dreamed of becoming a Pegasus Knight.
Unlike what she thought, they didn't yell at her --- although, they certainly lamented. They knew from their past experiences that money didn't matter; but their family certainly did. With as much as they could gather, Ariadne's family let her set off to try and pursue her dreams.
Wrought with guilt, the trainee wants to someday gain a lot of gold, which she could send back to her family to let them be able to support themselves.
NPC fight: A flurry of ivory wings cascaded lightly, the petite trainee's figure leaned over slightly to cope with the extreme force of the air that flew upon her face. Her Pegasus seemed just as determined as she, both gazes ignited with an unmatched excitment. They dived from the skies, targetting an unaware bandit. Biting her lip, Ariadne's eyes narrowed; her fingers locked over the chest of her winged steed.
She striked, her lance piercing the bandit, although not enough to mortally wound him. He let out a shriek, eyes widening as he jumped into position; his Axe gripped in his hand shaking lightly from the paint of her initial strike.
" Alright, Medea !" Ariadne smiled lightly, patting the neck of her Pegasus with a slight vigor. " Let's do this! "
PC fight: She'd probably bit off way more than she could chew; the archer smirking widely as he caught sight of the panicking Squire. Pulling at his bow, he released the bow; shooting it directly at the wing of Medea.
Medea let out a loud cry, beginning to fall; much to Ariadne's fear. She felt frozen; She'd left alone --- a foolish idea, and that was what she remained certainly aware of. Ariadne's hands trembled. Was she going to fall to her doom? Was another stray arrow going to strike her?
... She couldn't resign to that fate.
Roughly taking hold of her pained steed, Ariadne struggled intensely; eventually taking control, soaring upwards at the last minute. If she'd been any slower, she would've most probably have to be scraped from the ground.
Chest rising and falling intensely, face flushed from the ordeal, the Squire gently stroked Medea's snout.
" There, t-there... " Ariadne gulped. " We'll... We'll win next time. It'll all be okay. "
That was most certainly a close call.
