Name: Ciara (pronounced See-ar-uh)
Class: Taguel-Cat
Age: 15
Born in: Vinland, Holm Peaks
Appearance: Ciara stands at about 5'10", with a slender but fit build, and has long, blonde hair, with pointed cat ears protruding from the top of her head. Her eyes are also catlike, with an icy blue color to them. Typically, she wears very simple clothing that many on Elibe would probably consider somewhat primitive, usually leaving more of her legs and arms exposed to allow for more mobility in the wilds of Vinland. Her left arm, from shoulder to hand, is also decorated with various tribal tattoo designs.
Beast/War Form: Ciara, like the rest of her family, is able to shift into a fairly large cougar/mountain lion, standing about 4 and a half feet at the shoulder, with fur almost the same color as her hair (beige/blonde), and the same icy blue eyes.
Personality: Ciara is generally pretty carefree, living life as it comes to her. She enjoys hunting as one of her favorite pastimes. If she's caught in a bad mood, or someone makes her upset or angry, she has a tendency to shrug them off or ignore them for a while until she feels like talking again. When meeting strangers, she's willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, though if they give the wrong first impression, or betray her trust somehow, it's likely to stick with Ciara for a very long time, and sometimes a grudge she holds may never go away.
History: Ciara was born the youngest in a litter of three in a mountainside cave in the Holm Mountains of Vinland, where she and her siblings were easily protected from the elements, and perfectly nestled amongst the rocky terrain that they all blended in nicely with. After about 1-2 years of living mostly peaceful lives up in the mountains, their cave was assaulted by around ten members of the Bird Tribe (Vultures) while Ciara's mother was out teaching her and her siblings how to hunt. Ciara's father was killed defending their territory from the vultures, and they chased away her mother and all three kittens upon their return.
After fleeing their old home, Ciara's mother brought the kittens down from the mountains and closer to Skapta Lake. For a while, they foraged in the wilderness near the lake, finding food to be much more abundant, if a bit strange tasting compared to what they'd grown used to in the mountains. Unfortunately, around the time Ciara turned 5 years old, her mother contracted a fatal disease and died within a few months. The three siblings were now on their own, and split on what to do next. Ciara's slightly older brother wanted the three of them to split up and go their own ways, as sticking together would make them more vulnerable targets, while her twin sister wanted them to stay together. Ciara was divided on who to agree with, as she saw some merit in both their ideas. Ultimately, she did agree more on their survival chances if they went their separate ways. Because of this, Ciara has had yet to see any of her family since that day, and she is uncertain whether they still live, especially given the harsh environment of Vinland.
Not sure what to do, Ciara wandered south until she came across the town of Dawsbury, where she was taken in by Uthir, an older battle-scarred cat taguel who had been living amongst the humans of Dawsbury for a couple decades by then, as he saw some of the advantages of living amongst civilization. Despite the warm welcome and shelter, Ciara was still an untamable spirit at heart, and often wandered outside of town to fetch her own meals, but always made sure to be back at a reasonable time so that Uthir wouldn't worry too much. After a few more years, she reached adulthood, saying goodbye to Uthir, as she wished to return to the Holm Mountains that she and her family once called home. While she never tried to settle down in the old cave they'd lived in (in truth, she had no idea how to even find it), she did travel up and down the range, living a nomadic life snd staying on the lookout for other predators and threats, and purely living off the land for the next few years, wishing she had someone else to serve as her new family while she was on the move.
The time the Elibeans arrived on Vinland is something Ciara won't forget. Though she has never been spotted by them yet, Ciara has become very wary of Elibean explorers and settlers, as she has seen the damage they do with carelessly poaching other taguel, especially some members of the generally peaceful Rabbit Tribe, as they make fairly easy targets for their archers. She has even spotted corpses similar to the very Bird Tribe vultures that drove her family from their original home simply littering the ground, hunted for sport by some cruel group of hunters with some apparent fascination with needless slaughter. These Elibeans are nothing like the humans native to Vinland, and Ciara plans to be very cautious if she ever has a true run-in with them.
