“Aeos!!” Gar called his friend’s name as he walked throughout the hallways of his fort. Gar was excited. His booming voice echoed off the walls, reverberating throughout the fortress. Gar entered his friend’s quarters. It was a simple room with a chair, table, candle, bed and mirror. At least there used to be a mirror. Now there was shattered glass on the stone floor. And there was no Aeos. What in the ?
Gar wanted to share his plan of a grand voyage with his friend. Starting from the isles, Gar planned on sailing to Nabata to meet Aeos’ family. Then over to Badon, Lycia to stop by his own folks’ place. Then finally to Bern to some sort of festival they were having. Aeos liked Bern if he remembered correctly. This was Gar’s plan for cheering his friend up. He had been in a funk recently, thanks to Black Bart and his dark mage pirates. Only problem was, in order to cheer someone up, you have to find them. Gar left the room stopping the first man he saw. “You see where Aeos went?”
“New guy? Aye, saw him running off in a hood. Looked like he was in a hurry. I think someone mentioned seeing him move into the forest. ”
Gar nodded his thanks for the information. He began walking. Now why would Aeos just take off? The berserker descended a flight of stairs and exited the fort. He sighed as he approached the tree line of the forest. Honestly, he didn’t know the woods around his base all too well. He had only been out in them a handful of times.
So Gar began to wander the woods in search of Aeos. Eventually he came across a hooded man sitting down in a meditative state. Gar knew he had found his mark. As Gar approached, the man rose, stating that he needed a bath.“Aeos! I found you! What are you doing out here?” Gar smiled and reached out to give the dragon a friendly embrace. Gar had so many things to tell the Nabatan. He just didn’t know where to begin. There would be time to talk about everything on the voyage so Gar decided to start with that.
Gar was smiling as he spoke of his plan. “I have a plan. Pack your bags, were going on a fantastic voyage. Nabata, Lycia, Bern. Were gonna visit them all. Here’s the kicker, I hear there is going to be a festival in Bern too. There's going to be fancy food and drink. There's even an arena I think I'll try my hand at!” Gar was excited, he just hoped Aeos was as excited as he was.

This was a strange new experience he was feeling. His two halves of himself have merged into one entity. Into one person. Now when this used to happen before the fight between his two halves. A merge between the two would always bring about their dragon form. But, now they were together as one entity at all times. There would be no strange voice in the back of his head guiding him as to what he should or shouldn't do, instead, he would probably just do the thing that needs doing. Regardless of what consequences that word occurs from doing said thing.
"I need a bath." He spoke. He wasn't sure what to make of his feelings at the moment. He felt like he wanted to flop back down on the ground and sleep for a week. But at the same time, he had an undesirable urge to punch everything in his vicinity. A survival instinct kicked in and suddenly his ears were assailed by the sound of a familiar voice. Almost instantly the dragon was partially shifted and took a fighting pose. Ready to strike at the origin of the voice, until he realized it was Gar. And just Gar, not Gar and his crew. Which was a welcome relief.. He couldn't be around people just yet.
Aeos stood there as Gar embraced him. The dragon man wanted to move, he wanted to return the hug, but at the same time he also wanted to shove him. Toss him as far away from here as possible. But, he couldn't bring himself to do either of that. Gar deserved the hug but not the toss. And the sailor appeared to be in good spirits, it would be wrong of him to dampen such a mood.
"Sorry." The dragon man noticed his hands were still curled up into fists. Don't punch him.
"I've.. been here.. meditating. Fighting my inner self. Something happened in here." Aeos raised his hand to his head.
"And I've only just come out of it. And.. you yelled. It was startling." He needed to relax his guard. He needed to calm down. He took two steps back and let out a tired sigh.
"I'm sorry, start from the beginning. There's going to be a festival where? What? Please.. tone down the volume a tad and speak slowly."

Well that wasn't exactly the response Gar had expected. Something was certainly different about Aeos. The odd demeanor prompted a question from Gar "You alright?" Aeos began to apologize and say something had happened in his mind. Gar thought meditation was supposed to make a person happier, not on edge. Either way, Gar did come on a little strong so he understood how he may have startled the dragon. Startling dragons was typically a bad move, so he was thankful that Aeos hadn't turned and knocked him to the moon.
"Ah sorry about that. I was just excited to find you." Anything could've happened in the time that he had been gone. Worst of the possibilities was if someone had manged to break into his fort and capture the dragon somehow. The broken mirror gave signs of a light struggle after all. Gar was just glad that his friend was safe and unharmed. At least physically unharmed, he couldn't speak to how Aeos' mental state was fairing.
Aeos requested that Gar start over, only more quietly this time. Gar knew the feeling when someone was being too loud when he had a headache. Or a hangover. So Gar was happy to oblige. He lowered his volume and motioned for Aeos to walk with him out of the woods. "The festival is in Bern. However, Bern is pretty far away. So I have arranged for a few stops along the way. Namely, Nabata and Lycia." Gar sure hoped that Aeos was on board for the plan. Otherwise Gar would've gotten his hopes up for nothing. The grand voyage just seemed so fun. But without Aeos, not so much.
"I want you to go on this trip too. But don't feel like you have to go or anything."

"I'm.. not sure if I'm alright yet." He did look and feel like crap.
"But I think I took a step towards the right direction of progress. It's like.. you ever have a voice in your head telling you what to do.. and sometimes you just wanna smack it so it stops. I think. I think I did that." He rubbed his temples. he then took a deep breath in and slowly let it out. The body started to relax.
"We're going to Bern?" His voice was starting to perk up a bit. The wind dragon LOVED Bern. He loved the fact that the place was so green and that the mountain air was so fresh. And then there was the food. The delicious delectable foods, especially the pies.
"And we are stopping in Nabata and Lycia too? Ah! I can show you around the capital of Nabata. Khan Yunis is the crowned jewel of the Desert. It's got one of the best ports in the world. As well as an Academy and a museum." Well at least the talkative part of him had remained undamaged.
"My folks might be there." He counted the months on his fingers trying to calculate when their migration to the capital usually fell on.
"They would be delighted to meet you." He smiled softly, then held his head in pain. The world felt like it was spinning for a moment and he was forced to sit back down. He took another deep breath and let it out through his nose.
"I'm.. going to need a few more minutes though. How.. about you? When did you get back? And.. what happened?"

Aeos commented about having a voice in his head. Gar knew the feeling but not to the same extent. June trasmitted thoughts into Gar's head, but these were often comments of reason and rationale which Gar often lacked. Sometimes the weapon did speak words that Gar had no interest in hearing. However, if he ever wanted to stop listening, all he had to do was sever the physical connection between berserker and axe. Aeos didn't have that luxury. So Gar felt for his friend, although he was gladdened by the apparent progress that he had made.
Aeos questioned the plan again. To which Gar nodded with a smile. They would indeed be going to Bern. Aeos seemed particularly excited about the stop in Nabata to meet his folks. Khan Yunis. Gar may have been to the port there a couple times in his life, but never really got to see the place. “Aye, I’d be happy to meet your parents. Speaking of which, we’re going to Badon. My folks live a little north of the port town. May as well have you meet them while we’re at it.”
Aeos sat back down. Still recovering from whatever mental struggle he had earlier. Gar had a lot to say about his prior experience. He quickly scanned the tree line to make sure no one was around. It was a little paranoid but better safe than sorry.
“Got back a little bit ago. The mission was just, unbelievable.” Gar retrieved his new weapon from the clasp he had started to wear on his back. He held it out in front of him. “Well, this is June’s new form. Has some new powers to go with it.” Gar moved the axe slightly to leave a small bit of hardlight, lingering in the air. He tapped it a couple times to show that it was indeed a solid.
“I also met a dragon, Nayru, and a sage, Mila. They were both remarkably strong. I think you know Nayru, she’s interesting. I’m not sure if you’ve ever met Mila. She’s cool too, seemed a bit unnerved. I can’t really blame her though, we did have to face a Cyclops.” In retrospect, maybe Gar should’ve started with the cyclops.

"I've never met anyone's parents. My two other friends were orphans." He stared at the floor for a bit. He was trying to remember the stories of both Bee and Euphemious. Bee was a regular girl who lived in Nabata before ver village was attacked and she was taken in as a slave before she escaped. And Euph, was a general in the Bernese army. Fighting for both his country and to regain his lost family name.
"This will be a first for me." He smiled softly. His mind was still a little out of it. He really should be jumping up and down and excitingly hugging Gar. But, it was for the best that he stayed put for now. His body pulsated with a bit of it's own magic and if he let it overwhelm him, there would be a spontaneous transformation. And he really didn't want that. Not right now. Aeos motioned for Gar to sit down on the ground with him.
"Oh? You fought a Cyclops?" He knew what they were. They were giant one-eyed monsters who wielded large weapons. Weapons that looked and probably felt like getting whacked with a whole tree. Aeos was surprised to see that Gar was still standing after such an ordeal. He was told stories about how the one-eyed giants could best even the strongest dragons.
"And June changed too?" Aeos leaned over to get a better view of the axe's new form.
"I didn't know magic weapons could do that." Aeos carefully lifted a finger up and poked it.
"What other transformation tricks are you hiding, and how can I learn them?" The Nabatan joked. He took a moment to realize how much of his old world accent he had in the span of a few months.
"Wait you met Nayru?" The dragon looked up at Gar with a bit of surprise. He hadn't seen Nayru in months! His look of surprise turned into one of joy. And then slowly morphed into something that resembled quiet contentment.
"I'm glad she's alright. And kicking butt." The biggest of butts. He nodded, then almost instantly regretted moving his neck.
"This Mila was a human right? I imagine any human would be unnerved staring down such a beast. No offense, But, I assume June played a large part in suppressing your fears?"

Gar listened as Aeos briefly described a couple of his other friends. They were orphans, which was unfortunate of course. Gar didn't know the two personally, but he still felt for them. Gar loved and appreciated his parents, he couldn't guess where he would be without them. He was glad Aeos seemed happy to meet them.
Gar followed Aeos' gesture and plopped down on the ground, letting his elbows rest on his knees. He smirked with a noticeable tinge of pride. "Fought and killed a cyclops. Well it was mostly Nayru and Mila, but I got a few good shots in." Xigshaw pulsed in response to Aeos' comment about transforming. Unfortunately, this 'transformation' of mine was involuntary. Gar felt like he should go more in depth about what happened with June's previous vessel.
"Hmm June didn't exactly transform. The old axe got smashed to pieces by the cyclops. June's spirit transferred into the cyclops' axe. That would be Xigshaw here. I managed to get this axe away from the cyclops and I found Junzentaru again. I was so relieved that the spirit wasn't entirely gone." Gar nodded to punctuate the thought. But there was a little more explanation required to answer Aeos' last question.
" Aye. At first I was afraid. I was petrified. But June was able to inspire me to face the colossal monster. But after the first vessel got smashed, I lost that willpower. When June came back in Xigshaw's form, there were a couple new powers. First was the strength boost that I think came from Xigshaw itself. Second, was this solid light creation, I think comes from June's spirit since it comes out when Xig glows." Everything happened so fast, but Gar thought he had it all figured out. It all was quite confusing though. Xigshaw and Junzentaru sharing one form, that was probably going to have some repercussions at some point. Unsurprisingly enough, June was already changing in both powers and speech.

"I can see it. A mage slinging spells and Nayru shooting lightning at every which way. Though I must ask how you managed to get a shot in? I hear their feet can cause tremors and knock most men down." A cyclops' large body could knock just about anything down. If not flat out destroy it with a casual walk. Supposedly their hides were harder then stone and most weapons bounce right off. June's glowing reassured him that the old spirit was still in that new axe.
"I still can't hear you June. But I am glad you are still with us. Though I will admit I was more fond of your former form. It was an axe that was a work of art. This new body of yours.. seems more like a large club." He tilted his head at June's new body. He'd have to memorize this new form so he could make good on his promise to find the holy axe in the distant future.
"I wonder... if this spiritual body jumping could apply to more than just axes." Perhaps one day they could have June possess a suit of holy armor so that it could walk and interact with the world more so like a person did. Aeos then put his hand on Gar's shoulder. Another twinge of pain shot through his body as well as regret.
"I be.. glad you are in one piece. Things could have ended up a lot worse and I do not think I am quite ready to see my friends kick the bucket while they are still in their prime. It would hurt a lot. In here." He moved his other hand towards his chest. Over the stone, which up to a moment ago housed the other half of himself in a physical form. The stone remained and would still act as the conduit to his power. But, without the nagging voice, it sort of felt lighter than what it used to be.
"While you were out there fighting a colossal giant. I have.. been fighting myself. Not in such a grandiose manner as your fight was, but it was all in my head. Part of me wanted to leave this place. To leave the people you have left with me in the fort.. for safety. I mean.. I'm a dragon after all. I fear that there are survivors of the attack out there.. that they are trying to track me down. And I am afraid of that. What.. we used to to.. my family.. and I.. we would leave. We would always leave when villagers became suspicious of us or if there was some other trouble. That's.. just the way it was. And in Nabata it is really easy to do so. You simply pack up your things and head out into the desert. No one would ever follow you into the sands because it is too dangerous. After about a hundred years of being elsewhere only then would we return to the same spot that caused us trouble. Those that would have recognized us.. would have probably been dead or dying by the time we returned." He closed his eyes as he recalled the various times his parents had to make a hasty retreat out of a village. He remembered having rocks thrown at him. He remembered a boy screaming monster at him. He remembered the look of one woman's face when he used his powers to climb up a roof and bring down a cat.
"But I came to realize.. that I cannot keep running from everything all the time. Something that the other me.. in my head.. did not like. I.. think I kicked its butt. And.. we've.. become one guy? I am.. not quite accustomed to this yet. I have never been this long without that voice in my head chiming in on what I should do. I know.. it was only looking out for our well-being. But.. Gar.. I am so tired of running away from everything. I am not sure what repercussions that will have for me in the future." He sighed.
"I am probably not making a lick of sense. But it makes sense to me. And I think.. I think this is a good thing. I cannot.. come to realize my dream of seeing people. Dragons, Taguel, and Humans, coexisting peacefully If I am constantly running away from my problems. And I am sure there will be situations out there... where I am forced to run. But, if it is not forced. I will learn to stand my ground." The Nabatan felt better about himself after that little speech, then he casually leaned back until he was down on the ground. Staring up at the clouds and canopy above him.
"I feel like I got hit by a mine cart. But, I feel good about it." He raised his hands up towards his head and used his palm as a pillow.
"I broke a mirror in the process and might have shoved some of your people. Sorry."

Aeos inquired about the method by which he had managed to strike the cyclops. Gar patted his strong thigh twice. “My good old sea legs kept me balanced and took me where I needed to go. Hopped onto the monster’s foot, climbed up its loincloth, hopped over to its hand and the big thing lifted he up to its eye.” Gar smiled in reminiscing. It was a thrilling time, being on the verge of getting smashed at any moment and narrowly avoiding death at every turn. “That’s when I took Xig and bashed it in the eye.” Gar made a smacking noise by placing the back of one hand against the palm of another.
As Aeos commented about June’s new appearance, the weapon glowed again. I was quite comfortable in my prior form as well. However, I will do what I can to make this vessel more… appropriate. Gar didn’t quite know what that last part meant, but he conveyed the first part of the message to Aeos. “June agrees with you. I do too personally, but hey, magical club-axe is better than no axe.”
Gar pondered Aeos’ next thought. If it were possible for spirits to change vessels, who was to say they couldn’t inhabit anything? Even a human body. Maybe humans had some type of resistance to possession, but Gar had definitely heard stories of evil spirits claiming people as their hosts. He couldn’t say if those were just tall tales or not, but it was something to consider.
Gar smiled at Aeos. It reminded him of how long these spirits and dragons lived. He wasn’t going to let his relatively short time around them be cut even shorter. “I’m not going anywhere. Not for a while at least. I expect the same from you too.” Then Aeos went on to discuss what he had been up to during Gar’s cyclops encounter.
He had been in a struggle with himself. As well as a struggle with what he should do. Apparently he wanted to flee from Gar’s fort. Gar wanted to assure him that he was safe here. But honestly, he couldn’t speak for every single member of his crew. However, no matter who took up arms against Aeos, Gar would be on the dragon’s side. Gar would do his best to keep his friends safe.
But Aeos decided running away wasn’t always the best call. Especially if he wanted to reconcile the various species of Elibe. Gar spoke voiced his thoughts. “Aye. Running away isn’t going to fix any problems. At least not in the long term. Sure you could hide and wait, but as you said it’s a cycle that doesn’t really amount to progress.” There were times when you had to face problems head on. That may be talking through issues, holding oneself responsible or even standing and fighting for what was right. Gar smiled at Aeos, he had a tinge of pride in the conclusion Aeos had come to. Gar probably would have come to the same thought if he were in Aeos’ shoes.
“Mirrors are replaceable. And my crew should be able to take a shove or two. They’ve seen worse.” A number of Gar’s crewmates had once been slaves, so they weren’t going to be bothered by a couple pushes. “ I do want you to know, I’ll do whatever I can to help.” Gar didn’t know exactly what he could do, nor what Aeos would want him to do. But the sentiment still held true.

"I wonder if it is like shedding a skin." He spoke that part out loud.
"I mean.. June's new body transformation. If it's like snake shedding." He sighed softly.
"Never mind that. I just hope June feels better soon. And gets adjusted to being a magical club axe so we can all be.. recovered together." He shook his head.
"I am at a point of exhaustion where I cannot form sentences properly." He let out a yawn. Then paused for a bit to let Gar's words sink in.
"Thank You Gar. I hope the day never comes where you must choose sides. But, if it does come, I will be glad to have you in my corner. And The feeling is mutual." Mostly Mutual. He was 90% sure he shared Gar's loyalty. But, he knew the world could be cruel in its ways. He might be forced to pick the opposite side or neither side depending on the circumstances. Although those would be extenuating circumstances. Like if Gar secretly turned out to be some sort of demon lord, hell bent on destroying life. Then Maybe, he'd be forced to pick the opposing side. Or if some sort of horrible calamity forced Gar to face his parents in mortal combat, well then he'd have to side with his folks. Actually, even then that might be iffy. He loved his parents but he also knew they could be wrong.
"Your crew seems trustworthy. They've got a respect for you I rarely see among humans. Like if your some sort of savior.. were they former slaves?" He asked and then slowly roused himself up off the floor. He waited to hear Gar's answer before speaking once more.
"I think we should be heading back. Considering what we've all been through.. And what we must prepare for. We will need to nap! And refresh all three of our minds.. and to be honest. I've grown accustomed to my cot. A nap there sounds and feels a lot better than a nap out in the leaf litter." There was a small smile on his face, even though his head was coated in dead leaves. And his back was muddied due to the floor, but he was happy.

Gar nodded at Aeos’ speculation about June. It could be akin to a snake shedding its skin. “Or maybe its like a caterpillar changing into a butterfly.” Gar smirked and Xigshaw pulsed. It was a bit backwards. A caterpillar grows wings through its transformation. June however, lost wings. Gar also agreed that he hoped they would all be at full strength again soon. Aeos went on to comment on his crewmates.
“Aye, a lot of them used to be Bullring’s slaves. A few were mercenaries who helped me out in the raid on Bullrings fort. They decided to stick around. I don’t know about being a savior. That’s more June’s thing. I’m just a guy who had a score to settle.” Gar played down his role in changing the lives of his crew members. He knew he had done a good deed and would do it again, but he didn’t want to be viewed as some holy hero. He was still a pirate.
“Aye, let’s be heading back, we have some packing to do.”
-A couple days later-
Gar and his crew had set sail toward Nabata. Specifically, Kahn Yunis. They were a few days into the travel when Gar had an idea. He imagined Aeos had gotten enough rest to start training again. So he gathered a few of his mates and made an announcement. “Oi mateys, I have a bit of a challenge for you all.” Gar spoke through a grin. “I want a number of you to try to take down Aeos and me in hand to hand combat.”
Gar had been wanting to train his fist fighting and he knew it could help Aeos get back into fighting shape. The dragon had been resting a lot after his numerous ordeals, so it was probably time to get the blood pumping again. Not to mention, this could be a good way for them to practice some teamwork. The mates who had some free time to spar encircled ship’s training area. A few stepped forward, eager to test their strength against the captain.
Gar tilted his neck, allowing it to crack. “And don’t hold back now. I wouldn’t want to see any of you getting hurt.” One pirate took the opening move on Gar. It was a wild punch that Gar was able to lean out of the way. Gar gripped the arrant strike and continued it past him, turning the mate’s back to face him. Gar kicked the mate’s backside, sending him stumbling back into the crowd of mates around him.
“Gonna have to do better than that. Hahar.”

It had been a few days since they departed from Gar's fortress. The dragon in human guise was still adjusting to himself. But, the days at sea had been good for him so far. He had been helping around the ship and slowly regaining his former muscle mass. The day to day tasks had also helped to both stimulate his mind and bring him back to a state of normalcy. He hadn't heard much of the other voice that was in his head. But, he suspected that he hadn't fully gotten rid of it either. Aeos had spent a good chunk of his free time out at sea rewriting his Journal. Any entries he wanted to keep hidden were written in his native language. Anything else he felt safe enough for others to read through were written in the common language. He also did what he could to try and remember the world map he had.
He was mulling over a page of his third reattempt into remembering the whole map of Khan Yunis, when he heard Gar call him over. The captain wanted to train in the art of hand to hand combat. It had been a bit since he last tested his skill in the art of hand to hand combat. Between going to Vinland, being shipwrecked, recuperating from said wreck, the dragon in human guise had not had the chance to sharpen his skills. He had been too weak to do so. Both physically and mentally. But, now he felt well enough to try his luck with combat. He knew the exercise will do him some good, even if he lost.
The Nabatan made his towards Gar's side and took a stance. He was standing back to back with his comrade.
"I humbly accept your challenges." Aeos spoke to the group of crewmen.
He heard one of them say aye, just before he ran over. A fist high into the air intending to strike at the young dragon. Instinctively the young dragon tilted to the side used one arm to grip the other man's arm, pull him close, and knee him in the gut. Before tossing him over towards his crew.

Gar was smiling, it was good to see that Aeos hadn't lost much in terms of combat. That would make this little contest more entertaining. Gar taunted his mates a little bit more. "Come on ya scallywags! Show me you're worth your salt." A couple more approached the center of the circle. Gar beckoned them to come by pounding his chest with a fist. The two approached, but their approach was staggered. The first came in with a palm-strike aimed at Gar's chin. Gar dipped under the strike, hooking his left arm around it in the process. His right arm shot between the pirate's legs. Gar lifted him up into a fireman's carry. The berserker shifted his weight with the pirate on his shoulders, he tossed the pirate onto his back, before shifting to face the second oncoming pirate.
Gar had the intention of working on his teamwork with Aeos, so now was as good a time as any. The mate started with a jab. Gar caught the fist in his palm and forcibly pulled the mate off balance. As the opponent regained his footing, Gar circled around, bumping Aeos' hip. He was attempting to send Aeos to engage with the mate. He would take over on Aeos' side of the combat. Gar scanned the situation he had rotated himself into.
Gar hoped that the motion wouldn't be too jarring for Aeos. But this was just practice after all. Nothing too deadly could happen here. Best that they work on this now than need it in a real fight, and not be able to perform.

Aeos took a moment to breathe, he needed to keep himself calm and composed. The last thing he wanted was to have another fiasco on a ship. He found the fighting to be something so strange and yet oddly familiar to him. Another sailor charged at him, his fist up in the air, aimed for his jaw. The dragon felt himself move and before he knew it the man's fist was in between Aeos' cupped hands. The dragon shoved the man's fist away from him but couldn't react fast enough to the man's other fist. That fist hit him in the gut. This prompted him to react two swift movements of his arms, caused the man to recoil back. Then another kick. The man was flung backward.
Aeos took a moment to put a hand on the spot where he was punched. Strange. Normally when ever he got hurt his first instinct was to call upon the power of his stone. But, he didn't feel the need to do so right now. As a matter of fact he didn't really feel any need to use his dragon powers at all. He was in pain, yes, and normally when he received minor hits like this he'd use his stone to harden the skin around the area that was bruised. But, he didn't. Perhaps because he knew that this was just a friendly spar? Or maybe because he knew Gar was right behind him? He'd find the time to think about it later right now Gar needed him to do something.
He felt the tap on his side and nodded. He followed the sea captain's lead and rotated over towards Gar's end. Now on this side, he could see another bloak coming at him with a running charge. Swiftly, the dragon man ducked down and kicked the man off his feet with a low sweep. He stood up again and exhaled.

Aeos rotated in synchronization with Gar. It felt cool, a two against the odds thing. This side of the combat seemed briefly taken aback. They were having to rework their mental strategies to account for Gar as opposed to Aeos. Gar exhaled sharply as he checked a kick against his shin. There was the sound of a crack as the kick abruptly stopped against his leg. As Gar's foot fell back to the ground, he followed through with a straight punch to the pirate's nose. Gar felt the crunch under his fist and grimaced slightly. That's definitely broken. The man stumbled back and fell to the deck clutching his nose. He began to think maybe he should hold back a little more. These people were his crew after all.
Gar decided to call it at this point. He gave an order. "That's enough for now. Anyone with an injury, go see a healer." Gar bent down and clasped his mate's forarm. He pulled the man to his feet and began to walk him to the healer's quarters. He turned back toward Aeos. " I'm gonna take this guy to the healer. Thanks for humoring me. We'll have to train again some time." With that, Gar brought the mate to the healer and the voyage resumed.

Later, the crew had been allowed to dock at Kahn Yunis. Gar walked down the gangplank and began to speak to a harbor master about docking fees and trade tariffs. The captain quickly delegated the accounting task to a more number oriented crewmate. Gar stretched his legs on dry land briefly. He ordered that the crew be kind to these townsfolk. They have been friendly enough to allow them to dock. The berserker didn't want to hear any complaints about his crew being bad examples of sailors.
After all the docking affairs were in order, Gar moved to find Aeos. "So what do you think? Would your parents be around town this time of year?"
