Lucerne
Today was the day. Today was the day that Aria's family ranch opened up its gates to the general public to educate the people about the wyverns of Bern. A whole week long event that the family spends the whole year preparing for. The wyverns had been prepared for the event. Seven of the ranch's wyverns would be out on display for the public. Two females named Paprika and Jovi. Paprika was a standard wyvern, who was smaller than Chewy, and sported a slightly darker shade of red. The other wyvern Jovi. Was a different breed of wyvern. She was a rarer version of the standard wyvern. One who sported a much more serpentine pattern than her four-limbed cousins. She was thinner than the standard wyvern but longer. Her scales were a lovely rocky gray color. A color that blended in perfectly with the mountain rocks that the wild versions of her kind lived. These were to be shown off in a penned in area with their little brood of baby wyverns. No more than four wyverns per clutch.
Chewy, Aria's own wyvern would be with Boris her brother. Chewy was to be handled by one of Aria's nephews and Boris to be handled by his own rider Emmett. These two wyverns would be giving rides to children and adults. The rides were five gold a piece and they would be low to the ground for safety reasons.
Another set of wyverns were assigned to a sort of petting zoo area. A large male wyvern named Bart. And a smaller female named Mint. Bart was another of Chewy's brothers. And Mint was from another brood that hatched the year before Chewy. Mint was named so because her scales sported a very obvious minty color to them. A color meant to hide her among the forests that surrounded Bern. She was the cross-bred result of a serpentine wyvern and a standard wyvern. So she was of the four-limbed variety but smaller and slightly longer than Bart, Boris, or Chewy. They would also be used as a sort of question and answer sort of thing to the public. Most people would be shown the two wyverns, asked to point out the differences between the two, and one of the ranch hands would explain why those differences are there.
And the last wyvern on display was the family's most senior member. A wyvern by the name of Abigail. Abby, was the ranch's oldest wyvern. A wyvern that belonged to Aria's grandfather. Abby was a grandmother and great-grandmother to many of the wyverns in the ranch. The old wyvern sported a similar green color like Mint. But, her color pallet was much more faded. Grayed out a bit due to age. She would be paired near the other two wyverns in the petting zoo section. Abby had the best temperament out of all the wyverns in the group. As she had done this event for years and knew exactly what to do and how to do it. She was also the safest wyvern to be touched by children as she lacked any teeth to really bite a person with.
The ranch actually had four more wyverns to their name. But they would be kept away from the festivities. Three of them were females, who had clutches of their own. But, the babies were either too small to be used for an exhibit, unhatched, or mom was too aggressive. The other male was also too dangerous to be allowed out towards the public. Big Bruce as he was called was perfectly fine around the family. He was accustomed to the family and the ranch hands he saw on a daily basis. But strangers caused him to panic. And panic, when it's applied to a wyvern of Bruce's size, was a dangerous thing.
The day was perfect for the event. The sun was shining. There were few clouds in the sky. The weather was also unseasonably warm for middle spring. There were several troughs sprawled out around the area too. Next to tables with mugs so that people could drink water if they needed too. For a small fee in the petting zoo, folks could feed a wyvern an apple. Or if they weren't squicked out by it a bit of meat. The fee to enter the event was ten coin per adult. Children below the age of ten were allowed in for free. And those who were above ten but not yet eighteen could enter for five gold. The families of the ranch hands were allowed in for free. And if one had experience with wyverns or with any sort of farming could work for their entrance. The family was really flexible in terms of allowing people in to see their wyverns.
Aria's section of the ranch was to monitor the petting Zoo. She would be the one managing the three wyverns and be asking the people what they saw in them. And what they did. Her duties were only supposed to extend to the oldest wyvern, but there was a slight change of plans as they went about preparing for opening day. And Aria felt comfortable enough with all three wyverns and the three wyverns were comfortable enough with her to make it work. As Per her dad's orders, she ditched the farm clothes and wore her standard rider gear. Her Brother Emmett did the same and so did his sons. At least they wore the knight in training garb that bore the insignia of the Bernese Army. However, Aria kept her hair in a bun and wore a bit of light makeup per her mother's insistence.

"Tell me again why we are going to some wyvern rancher event?" Zael asked boredly from the back of his own wyvern, Fafnir. Angrim sighed softly at the question. He was the one that insisted on coming with him and yet he was the one that was doing all of the whining.
"You wanted to come with me and Hel for this." Angrim retorted in an exhausted tone. "I told you it was not your speed but you insisted anyway."
"Well, yeah, with you out of the barracks what am I going to do? I'll be bored to tears. I need you man!" Zael was laying the ham on thick now. He sounded quite passionate about it but Angrim knew far better than that.
With a shake of his head and a chuckle he took notice of the ranch a short ways off. "Alright, there it is." He pointed it out. "Hel! Take us down!" With a soft kick on his legs the wyvern moved into a dramatic vertical dive.
"Hey!" Zael turned around as he and Fafnir continued right past them. "Hey, hey, hey! Wait!" Zael groaned. "Come on! Take us down!" The two moved into a more graceful decent, lowering slowly in circles, with Zael muttering the entire time.
As Hel and Angrim neared the earth they pulled out of their plunge at the last second, powerful wings unfurling and flapping into a soft landing. "Nice job there buddy! I don't think there is a wyvern and rider alive that can outdo our maneuvers!" He laughed to himself as he looked up at Zael who was still high above. "Well, we're well above those two anyway."
By the time Fafnir touched down Angrim was finishing up with Hel and his arrangements. "Nice of you to join us." Angrim teased. "Now, Hel, if I get the ranchers' permission to bring you in I will come RIGHT BACK for you, if not I will be back before days end, okay?" Angrim smiled to his friend who apparently did not like being left behind. Hel proceeded to step forward and lay on top of Angrim. "Guh!" He found his breathing labored. "H-Hel, please... Zael?"
Zael looked at him boredly before laughing. "You know, you two are too close for you not to have him under control. Fafnir here listens to EVERYTHING I say, Isn't that right?" NIP! "Gah!" Zael clutched the back of his head as the wyvern nipped him and began to let out a deep chortling sound. "See what I mean?" He asked with tearing eyes as though he would be convinced.
A moment later Zael finally helped pull Angrim out from under the belly of the beast and the two were off to the ranch. "So, why did you want to come her anyway, man?" Zael asked of Angrim.
Angrim smiled nostalgically. "I came here as a kid before. First time I road a wyvern, the one gone rogue aside, anyway. I just remember this place fondly and having time off during it, well, sounded like a fun opportunity." His explanation was enough to satisfy Zael but it still did not seem to be enough.
The pair entered through the gate and began to take in the sights. "Well. It is pretty country festivally I guess."

Kyra excitedly approached the ranch that was home to a family of local wyvern breeders. She'd known in the past that the farm was open to the public annually, but she'd never been able to go for various reasons, whether it was being occupied with other things, being in trouble, or something else. It was a shame too, given how close she loved to the Lucerne-based farm. That didn't matter now though, because she would finally be able to see the famous wyverns of Bern for the first time ever, and super up close too! Paying the five gold for entry, she eagerly headed over to the petting zoo area that had been set up, with a very formal looking blue-haired woman dressed in the garb of the Bernese military, something she was used to seeing due to her father.
Before she could say anything to the woman, who she assumed was in charge of this area, she saw a pair of what looked to be wyvern riders up in the sky, one landing gracefully just outside the ranch, and another circling overhead for a bit before also landing. Wow, there's so many actual real life wyvern riders here today! Father always talked about how they're like the main backbone of the Bernese military, and now that I'm finally seeing them, I can understand why. The riders and the wyverns all look so strong and capable...
Getting over her awe, Kyra moved closer to the blue haired woman once a group of people she was talking to before had walked away, and said, "Um, hello, ma'am. F-first off, I'd like to thank you for your service in the Bernese military, helping to keep Bern safe from anyone who might try to hurt our people!" It was clear that Kyra was very passionate about this, and it was mostly due to being around her father so much. She had gained a respect for military members that many children, and even some adults, seemed to lack. "So, uh, I guess you're here to talk about those wyverns over there? I've never actually seen them up close before, and I have to say, they look pretty terrifying, and yet, sorta friendly at the same time..."

The front gates had taken their first sets of customers. People were slowly starting to trickle into the ranch. Other wyverns wouldn't be allowed into the event as they might spook the others. Any riders would be forced to leave their wyvern in the open areas in front of the ranch. A few folks would be organized into groups and be given a proper tour. Everyone else was free to wander around the facility. There were rope gates that divided out the territory. Four ranchers on horseback would be patrolling the fringes of the area to ensure none of the public wandered off into restricted areas.
Aria was busy petting both Mint and Bart on their heads before the first set of visitors approached. The wyverns enjoyed the attention a little too much and rubbed their scaly cheeks all over Aria's face and neck. This set the rider into a fit of giggles as she tried her best to move around from the overly affectionate pair. Sure, they were terrifying beasts to those who didn't understand them. But, to Aria the wyverns were like family. And like family they were trained to embarrass the heck out of each other. So when a young miss came up to complement the sky haired rider. Aria was left speechless for a moment. The two wyverns froze in place with their faces pressed against Aria’s body, in mid nuzzle. With Aria looking back at the young woman her face half smooshed by wyvern lips.
“Ah, break it up you two we've got company.” She muttered. Both wyverns immediately pulled away and took a few paces back and stood proudly in their designated pens. As if they weren't just smothering a human with affection a moment ago. Said human quickly pulled out a napkin to rub the slobber off of her face.
“Sorry. Uh.. first off thank you for your kind words.” Aria spoke as she went ahead and quickly fixed her hair.
“And yes, I'm here to talk about the wyverns. You got any questions I'll be happy to answer them. Well, I'll be happy to answer them, after my little lecture.” Aria casually pointed over towards the rows of hay bales in front of her. They were arranged in a manner similar to one found in a theater or perhaps a small arena. Four near little rows where about thirty people could take a seat and listen to Aria talk.

"Hey! Angrim, bro, look at that!" Zael pointed in the direction of Aria and Kyra! "Now I know why you're here!"
"What are you talking abou- oh..." Sudden understanding washed over him. This was the third time for him to see Aria even if the two had never spoken, the first was at a festival where she sang atop the stage and the other when he had guard duty at the arena, a real shame she lost. A third encounter like this while an unexpected event of coincidence turned into something else under Zael's ranting.
"So, now that I know you've been stalking this chick are you going to actually talk to her?"
"And say what exactly? And I have not been stalking her! It is purely coincidence." Angrim gave his friend a stern look.
"Ooo scary! Well, then I will talk to her instead, and when she throws herself at my feet you will come to me in tears begging for another chance." Zael proceeded to make fake crying and sobbing sounds, even gaining the watchful eye of a confused patron.
"Alright, alright, enough, stop making a fool of yourself! And me by extension. We'll go talk to her." Angrim shook his head ruefully. He somehow knew he would regret this.
As the two men made their way over to the pair they caught only the tail end of Aria's explanation, a lecture? The both of them looked at the bales of hay and a look of understanding washed over the both of them simultaneously, and instead of the proper introduction Zael was going for Angrim instinctively opened his mouth with a question, "How long before that kicks off?"

Kyra hadn't even noticed the bales of hay in her rush of excitement arriving at the farm and meeting a member of the Bernese military other than her father, which she's only done a few times before. She felt a bit embarrassed for almost going at it with questions when a lecture was going to start. "Oh, I see. Well then, I'll definitely stick around and hear the lecture. I'm sure it'll be some interesting stuff!" With that, she began to walk towards the hay bales, taking a seat on one of the front most ones.
As she sat down, she noticed that two other uniformed people, both men, had arrived as well. Wow, two more members of the military? Almost makes it seem like this is some sort of official, prestigious event, when in reality, it's more just a fun way to raise awareness and information about wyverns. Hmm.. now I wonder if father even went to stuff like this, and just never said anything. What if.. what if that woman, or one of those men knew my father? Maybe it's worth it to ask them, if they have time... As Kyra began to get lost in her thoughts, she kept looking over at the wyverns nearby and in other areas of the farm, watching them sit around idly, playing around, or whatever. Huh, now that I'm seeing them up close, I guess wyverns are sorta cute in their own way. Heh, maybe I missed my calling or something. I'm happy with my sword though, I'd say. Being a rider would mean I'd need to get used to fighting with a much bigger lance, sorta like Alphonz does, except it'll be even harder on the back of a beast.

Oh good. Looks like we've got other people trickling in. The sky haired rider thought to herself as she saw her nephew slowly funnel people towards the hay bales seats. Aria was to give a little half hour lecture about wyverns. Mostly as a sort of show and tell the younger audience. Children had priority in the front row. With parents or older siblings right behind them.
"I'll be starting in about five minutes sir. Gotta give everyone a chance to sit down." She nodded softly to the young man audience. Aria took a note of his flashy armor and deemed him to be another knight. Not, that Aria was a knight herself. Well by the technical definition she was, but in reality, she hadn't really served the country in the army all proper like since the very beginning of the Bern-Ilian war. Her brother though, he kept himself in the service of the army and was slowly grooming his sons to do the same. Aria did one quick check of the wyverns just to make sure that they were comfortable. The audience was a reasonable distance away from the dividers that separated penned in the mighty creatures. After she deemed everything to be alright with both wyverns and people, then she started talking.
The first two minutes of her speech was spent thanking the people for their patronage, welcoming them to the ranch, and slowly laying down some ground rules. She gave a minute for the audience to process that information before moving on to the fun stuff. The rider then gave a small history lesson about the supposed first wyvern rider. A myth that was well known among the populace. She had no idea if the myth was even true or not but it did well to keep the crowd's attention. She introduced the crowd to the three wyverns that were behind her. Bart, Mint, And Abby. When she called their names the wyverns did a bit of a shout and flap of their wings.
She then went ahead and addressed the children of the audience to point out the wyvern features. One child commented on the wyverns teeth. To which Aria responded that wyverns had a diet that focused mostly on meat. Although they have been known to forage for fruit and hearty tubers in lean times. Another child commented on their size differences. To which Aria pointed out that was common among wyverns. Males were larger than females, usually. Another pointed out the scaley skin. To which Aria responded that that skin was as hard as armor. And used to protect the wyverns from all sorts of things that live in the mountains. Like other wyverns or bears. Another child pointed out the colors between the wyverns. To which Aria responded wyverns come in a multitude of colors. Most common being, red, green, black, or brown. Aria then explained the age differences between the wyverns. And how Abby was quite probably the roughest and toughest senior citizen you have ever met. Her language throughout the little lecture was generic and simple to understand. She had to make it so because she was trying her best to appeal to all audiences.
After her speech, her and three other trusted ranch hands would line up the people so that they could go pet the wyverns. There would be three people touching the wyverns per minute batches. Once everyone had gotten a chance to pet the wyverns. Or in some cases feed them if they bought an apple from the stand before them. They were then slowly herded out of the area and free to move on to the next little exhibit. It was here at this point Aria had a few minutes to herself prepare for the next batch of guests.
"I think that went well. What do you guys think?" Aria asked the three of them. Before Abby the oldest decided to muscle her nose underneath Aria's arm. The old maid let out a large sigh through her nostrils. The moist slightly snotty air hit Aria in the neck which caused her to shudder.
"Aw. You feeling left out cause I kept petting those two whipper snappers earlier?" Aria spoke to her in a slight baby voice. To which the wyvern huffed again. Aria smiled softly and scratched the wyvern under her chin.

Once the blue haired woman had finished her very interesting and informative speech, Kyra got up to wait in line to feed and pet the wyverns. She made sure to stay near the back, as she wanted the crowd to be mostly dispersed for when she asked the woman more questions, mainly for extra space and less ambient noise. Finally getting over to one of the wyverns though, she was surprised with how much ease it scooped the apple out of her hand with its tongue, devouring it in one quick bite. Satisfied, it lowered it's head, allowing her to pet the rough scales along its snout.
Once she had had enough of petting the wyvern, she walked away, approaching the blue haired woman once again. "Hey, so uh, I had a few more questions about the wyverns. Well, more about wyvern riders too, I suppose. Although, uh, first, what's your name? I never caught it before, and it'd be kinda awkward you continue without knowing it, I'd think." Once Aria had answered, Kyra continued, "So, um, how exactly do you and other riders get used to dying so high up on the backs of wyverns? I'd think it'd be like, super scary being that far off the ground with nothing between you. How do you do it?"
"Also, this is a bit more, um, personal, but do you happen to know my father? Or know of him? He was in the Bernese military for many years, although he was never a wyvern rider like you. His name was Veris Greywater." Kyra doubted that Aria directly knew her father, but she figured that being from Lucerne, she'd at least have heard of his exploits or something.

Abby was satisfied with all the attention she got. She lightly butted Aria's hands away once she felt like she had more than enough pets to last her the year, then quietly slinked off towards the water trough. Aria sighed softly as she rubbed her hands with her thumbs. The older wyvern's scales were rough and coarse like sandpaper. A voice called out for the sky haired rider, and she turned around to address it. It was the young blonde miss from earlier.
"Ah, hello again." The rancher greeted with a smile.
"My name is Aria. Nice to meet you." She introduced herself and waited a bit for the young miss to finish with her questions.
"Well, riding a wyvern is all about practice. Riders spend years learning the in's and outs of their wyverns. Learning their personalities and how to ride them. How to fight on top of them. Building trust between man and beast. Eventually, with enough time and practice, you grow accustomed to flying with you wyvern." She hoped that that was a sufficient enough answer.
"Mm.. can't say that name is familiar. I wasn't in the military proper for very long before the war with Ilia. And even then it's impossible for me to remember the names of everyone I came across. Though that question might be better suited for either my dad, the balding man you saw at the gates. And or my oldest brother, Emmett, who's up ahead giving rides on wyvern backs to patrons." Aria turned her head to gaze ahead to see who's riding what wyvern.
"Annd it, looks like he's on the back of his own wyvern. If you make your way there he rides the black wyvern, Boris. Don't let either of their looks fool you. They are both softies underneath all that armor. Don't tell either of them I said that."

As Aria went through her answer to Kyra's question, she nodded as she listened, taking in every word that she was saying to her. Towards the end, with time to think and enough time to get a good look at her face, something clicked in her mind as she recalled back to when she was observing the Tournament of Arms in Bern. Once Aria had finished everything she do had to say, including pointing her older brother out, who was in fact riding about on his own wyvern, Kyra spoke up. "Waaaait a minute! I just remembered! You're that Aria, the one who was in the Tournament of Arms! That fight was so awesome, and I actually got to talk to your opponent later that day. I never found you afterwards though, but I'm glad I'm talking to you now. Ahhh, this is so cool!"
Realizing that she was going a bit over the top now, Kyra composed herself a bit, straightening up her body before continuing. "U-um.. Yeah, it was pretty impressive, heheh.." Turning back over to Aria's brother, she saw that he was starting to land, so as saw he began walking towards him, she turned to Aria, saying "Thank you for answering my questions, and I'm sorry for holding you up for so long! I'm gonna take your advice and go talk to your brother. Plus, wyvern rides sound amazing! Scary maybe, for someone like me, but amazing nonetheless. I hope you have a good rest if the day Aria, of I don't see you again before I leave." At that, with a bit of a nervous spring in her step, she made her way towards Aria's brother and the wyvern rides.

"Yep. I'm that same Aria. The red wyvern you'll meet over by the wyvern riders is mine. She's another one that's big and scary looking but really she's just a big old ham." She smiled softly.
"Actually I think Chew's hamminess is what cost me the match. But, hey, that is life. The experience was worth it, and I will definitely be back for the next event." She nodded as she dusted herself off. Sure the match didn't exactly show off the best display of her wyvern riding capabilities. But sometimes things just happen. She really wasn't expecting the little miss sword to leap so high in the air like that. But, next time she'll be more prepared for that sort of thing. The world was changing, monster stories were starting to become more common, who knows what other things out there could get the jump on her. Perhaps I've been too lenient on Chewy. We should really step up our training while Emmett is still here. Aria waved Kayla good bye and returned to her duties. By now the second wave of people was filing into their little rows which meant Aria would have to give her little speech about Wyverns all over again.
Meanwhile at the wyvern riding section of the ranch. The people were grouped into two even lines. Separated by a divider of pegs with ropes lined in between them. The rides were given one at a time. Or two at a time depending if the riders were children. The two wyverns in question were Chewy and Boris. Two large bulky wyverns who were saddled and adorned in their respective armors. The black Wyvern had a man for a rider, who was adorned with the black armor of Bern. He was without his helmet so as to be less scary to the various children that wanted rides. Unlike Aria, Emmett had brown hair. A sign of his mother's heritage. But, he looked a lot like a younger version of his dad save for the grizzled face. His son, who was a young man, was behind him. The fifteen-year-old sported the light blue hair of his grandfather and aunt. He was riding on top of Chewy. The young man wore light leather training gear. The gear had a very faded insignia of the knights of Bern. Their rides were in a designated area and were relatively low to the ground for safety reasons. Anyone was welcome for one ride with the wyverns.

Wow, so that really was the same Aria from the Tournament of Arms. That's so cool! I feel like getting to talk to the likes of her and Kisaragi is like talking to living legends. Heheh, that's probably silly though. I don't even know anything about their exploits except for a few inklings of what Kisaragi did before coming to Bern. Well, regardless, I'm actually gonna ride on a wyvern now! Unless I chicken out of course... Eh, I doubt it. They seem to be low to the ground, so I'll probably be alright. Then when I'm done, I can ask this Emmett guy if he knew my father. I don't know why I care so much ask out this... I doubt them just knowing him will help in any tangible way. I guess I just want to hear about how he was in his prime and his element, rather than during retirement...
Continuing to move away from Aria's position, Kyra walked over to the area where wyvern rides were being given. She got in the line that would lead to the younger rider, who she deduced was in fact Emmett. After waiting for a little while for the rides to cycle through everyone in line ahead of her, she finally made it to the fron, greeting the man as she prepared to get on the wyvern back. "Hey there, my name is Kyra! Um, I was just talking to your sister, Aria, and she said that maybe you'd be able to help with a little personal question that she wasn't able to answer. I can ask after the ride though, if you're not super busy or anything. I'll admit I'm at least a little frightened about this, but hey, I figured I should give it a try anyway."

Things seemed to be running smoothly at the ranch. Aria was well into her speech about wyverns and their gender differences. The people were lined up for rides. And the baby wyverns hadn't bitten off any fingers yet. Then again the ranchers were doing a good job at keeping little fingers out of the mouths of the wyverns. Emmett went on his ride round and left his son alone for a brief moment.
The blue haired young man turned a tad bit red at Kyra's comment. She apparently mistook him for being Aria's brother. A classic mistake among those not fully familiar with Aria's family and their ranch. He rubbed the back of his head for a bit then politely corrected her.
"Aw, shucks miss. Ya must not be from around here. But, this is what this here event's about. Educating the folks about wyverns no matter where they come from, ya." He nodded to himself.
"Aria's my aunt. Her brother is my dad. The man who's guidin the black wyvern." He gave Chewy a small pat on the side of the face.
"Can't tell ya much bout the knights. I'm still under tutorship. But, this be Aria's wyvern though. Chewy here will give ya the finest ride through the air." The young man spoke and Chewy snorted a bit at the mention of her own name.
"Here, I'll help ya get on the saddle. I'll be riding the front ya hold on to me from the back. We an't going to go too high. So ya won't get hurt if you fall." He slowly motioned Kyra over and showed her how to get on the saddle. Chewy had to crouch herself low to the ground to let both of them get on. Once both parties were safely on board, the young sky haired man gently tugged on the reigns. The wyvern slowly got up off the ground. Chewy was a large wyvern. Larger than the average wyvern but not by much. Maybe about a half a foot taller and wider than the average. The size was due to Chewy's and Boris' father, a wild wyvern, who occasionally flew down from the mountains to mate with the female wyverns of the ranch. Much to the family's charging. Though they appreciated his genetic diversity they also hated the fact that his presence sometimes ruined years of painful painstaking selective breeding.
"Now, take off's gonna be a big movement. Might be a little shakey. Try thinking of it like a horse running but more bumpy yah? Keep yer arms round my waist and don't let go. The fall's not gonna kill ya but it'll hurt ya. So please be careful." The young man tugged at the reigns again and Chewy took a few steps. She stretched out her wings and took to the air. Her jump was small by wyverns standards. And she flapped her wings a good bit before gliding around the gated terrain. She flew around twice in a nice steady pace before landing right where she started. The red wyvern crouched back down and waited for her riders to get off.

Kyra started getting flustered a bit after confusing Aria's brother with her nephew, but tried to shake off the mistake and carry on with what she wanted to do. She was here to ride one of the wyverns, and she wasn't about to run away just because of a silly mishap. "Oh, uh, s-sorry about that, sir. I actually am from around here, I've just never been, well, here specifically before. This is my first time on the ranch, and first time meeting your family. A-anyways, I guess we should just get me on the wyvern already, huh?"
After getting on Chewy, Kyra soon saw and felt his wings stretch out, preparing for flight. Clinging to the rider's waist, she braced for the take off, which was just as bumpy as he had implied beforehand. Breathing a bit faster than usual, she felt like she was about to panic as the beast flew up, even if it wasn't *that* high up compared to what it could be. However, despite her fear, by the time Chewy had made one loop around, Kyra started to look around more at the ranch around and below her. She was amazed by the vantage point she had, especially with the flight smoothing out a bit. Although, by the time her appreciation had truly sunken in, Chewy was beginning to land again.
Once Kyra had gotten off, she turned to the rider, almost jumping up and down a bit. "Wow, that was amazing! I see why people like you enjoy riding on these wyverns! Once you're used to it, it must be incredible, especially flying higher up than that!"

"Glad ya liked the ride lass. You can make the line again if ya want another go. Be happy to take you round again." The sky haired young man commented as he helped Kyra off of Chewy. The wyvern turned her head and let out a small short. The young man went ahead and gave the Wyvern what she wanted. A good scratch under the chin and some kind words of acknowledgment. The Wyvern let out a small chuff before pulling her head away and gave herself a shake.
"Ah, she's gettin a bit antsy. Won't be long before were in the air again Chew, just hold on." He chimed at the brick colored wyvern.
"Anyway, ya could also make the line again and wait for my dad to give ya a ride. Boris rides like Chewy." He spoke.
"There's more ta see round here. Feel free to look round some more and come back. My cousin' is out by the baby wyverns down the way." He pointed.
"Ya can't touch em, but they be entertainin to look at." He commented before gently escorting Kyra away and tending to the next set of customers. Emmett himself was tending to Boris. He gave the black wyvern a small snack of apple and rewarded him for a job well done. The last set of riders he had were two kids who thought the saddle was some sort of kicking game. And both of the children were trying to get the highest score. Boris ate the apple with gusto and gave a similar sounding chuff and nuzzled the dusty haired man. The next round of passengers were soon loaded and work went on as usual.
