It's been a week since the ranch's annual festival. A whole week of readjusting to life as a regular ranch hand rather then a wyvern rider. A whole week of waking up before dawn to tend to tend to the animals, the field, and nights spent training under the watchful eye of her older brother. Her brother. The brother who would eventually leave the family home. He needed to return to his place in Larguz. Back to his life of a knight and an occasional instructor at the wyvern academy. Aria sighed softly as she prepared both Chewy and Boris for their day out.
The wyverns were groomed and outfitted with special harnesses used to haul medium loads of cargo. Today's cargo would be the blocks of woods the family was to harvest from the nearby forest. The day was a bit foggy but the family was accustomed to such weather. Aria, Fredd (Aria's brother), and Emmett's two boys, packed, and prepared themselves to head out into the woods. These woods were located behind the family's property. An unclaimed patch of land that rested beyond the stream that divided their land from the wilds.
The family had been harvesting wood out of this forest for years and they always made it a priority to chop down only the dead trees. The wyverns gave the family the ability to haul out the roots from the ground. And they made sure to plant a sapling in it's place the following year. The family loaded up a small wagon of supplies and departed towards the woods. Both of Emmett's boys saddled themselves up on Boris, Aria saddled up on Chewy, and Fredd rode the horse that pulled the wagon.
After about an hour or two the group came across a dead tree. The tree was still standing, but it was white, dull, and completely leafless. The boys got off of Boris and knocked on the wood. The sound it made didn't confirm anything. So they took an axe and chopped a notch into it. No sap. They did a few more tests and determined the tree was dead. And so, the family went to work in chopping the tree. As both Aria and Fredd went to work on chopping the tree at the base. Emmett's two boys were busy scouring the trees for resin. They would collect the sticky sappy stuff in jars and they liked to compete to see who could collect the most. They were also charged with collecting some pine needles to be used as tea. Pine tea wasn't exactly everyone's favorite but they couldn't deny the health benefits it provided.
Little did they know, they had wandered into another's territory. The fog made it difficult for the wyverns and the horse to sense what was out there. The fog dampened the sense of smell and diminished sight. Now, if they had wandered into another wyvern's territory they wouldn't fear much. Boris and Chewy's sizes alone could scare off most wyverns. And the family was just here for the tree, they would leave the forest after a few hours. But, what lurked in the woods behind their home was something much worse then an aggressive territorial wyvern. Something, that drew closer and closer to the group with each twack of the axe upon the wood.

Since meeting Aria officially Liam had spent more time around groups of humans more often that he was accustomed to, after fighting the monster in Lycia and the two healing from their wounds, he made sure she was okay before setting off to be alone once again. Liam had spent most of his time in a meditative state, trying to dig through every part of his brain trying to figure out what he had saw, attempting to reach memories from well over two thousand years ago was a painful task which he found himself taking breaks and sitting in silence waiting for the headaches to relive themselves. Little Julius didn't understand what was going on, nor would he ever, but he wanted to play with Liam. He would run over, jump in his lap, then nip at Liam's hand if he reached to pet him then squawking at him. While taking breaks from trying to remember the stories he heard about some kind of great war he tried to come up with some kind of game plan if he runs into it again or one of it's kind.
One thing that was obvious was he would have to retrain his body, since the Scouring he didn't need to tap into his dragon stone. That thing had seemed to be weak to that harlot's magic, Liam was lucky that man was around to help combat it. If he wasn't, in Liam's current state he surely would have died. He couldn't retrain himself while raising Julius nor could he just let him go into the wild at his age, his only option that was left was to leave Julius in Aria's hands even though he despised the idea of letting a human take him in.
Even though he didn't plan on going to see Aria so soon, part of him was somewhat excited to be seeking a familiar face and somebody he could say he enjoyed their company. It didn't take Liam long to get to where Aria lived since he didn't venture off too far, with a few heavy knocks he folded his arms as he waited which wasn't long before an older man answered. Liam had asked if Aria was around, he had responded by mentioning she had just left a little bit ago and should be back in a few hours then invited Liam in. Once the two were inside the man made some small talk with Liam before offering him something to drink, which Liam declined. Liam was an impatient man so he asked where she had gone and he would go meet her there, and the man told him. Once he had gone outside he let out a whistle, to catch Julius' attention which it had then headed towards the woods.
THWACK... THWACK... THWACK... He could hear the sounds of an axe beating on wood in the distance so he began walking towards it. "ARIA" his deep voice rang in the almost silent woods. The fog outside of it wasn't so bad, but as he ventured into them it had thickened. One thing that struck him as odd as the lack of wild life sounds, he didn't think Aria and her brother being that would cause it to come to a halt.

Aria and Fredd were busy. They hacked away at a suitable log in a simple one two motion. Fredd took up the one and Aria with the two. The two sky haired boys found a suitable tree to harvest resin from and slowly started to collect it in a jar. They use a knife to cut it and slide it into their jar. Aria and Fredd stopped once they heard another voice call out to them in the mist. The sky haired rider sighed.
"I thought I told dad to tell him to wait at the ranch." She mumbled to herself.
"I assume it's a friend of yours."
"Yeah. He's the traveler I'm escorting across Bern."
"The one with the baby wyvern right? Saved em from a band of poachers?"
"Yep. That's the guy."
"Hey Chew, can you go get hi.." And that's when it dawned on her. There wasn't any noise. Normally, the forest was full of noise. From birds chirping to squirrels yapping at each other to keep off the other's turf. She looked around.
"Fredd." She glanced back at him.
"What?"
"You hear that?"
"I don't hear a.." A wave of realization washed over him.
"Where are the boys?" He asked in a very serious tone. And that's when things went wrong. The eight-legged freak that had been lurking in the woods made its move. It lunged out at the two boys. One boy was up a tree and the other was on the ground. Fortunately for them, Boris rammed into the creature before it could sink its fangs into the boy on the ground. Unfortunately, the big wyvern rammed the spider into the tree the other boy was on and knocked him off his branch. The teenager fell to the ground with a hard thud. The leaf litter of dead pine needles cushioned his fall but he landed on his arm funny. He let out a yelp of pain. His twin brother ran towards him and struggled to pull him up off the ground.
Chewy charged forward into the direction of the noise. She joined Boris in his struggle to keep the bael away from the two boys. The boys ran out towards the two adults.
"Buh-buh.. BAEL!" One twin shouted. Fredd grabbed his horse and reigns and Aria quickly shoved both boys into the wagon.
She grabbed her weapons from the trolley.
"Fredd, get them out of here. Get em medical attention and call up the guards. I'm going to get the wyverns and try to drive it away from the ranch."
"Heck No! You get in the wagon with the boys the wyverns can handle themselves."
"Someone's gotta lure it away from the ranch! It might attack us in the middle of the night if it's this close! Go!"
An ear piercing shriek filled the misty air.
"CHEWY!" Aria yelled.
"FREDD GO!" She shouted then ran out towards her wyvern's scream.
"Aria no! COME BACK HERE!" Fredd yelled back. The twin with the broken arm let out a groan of pain. Fredd took a look at him and let out a curse. He pulled on the reigns and quickly maneuvered steed out of the forest. They followed the path back down and almost ran into Liam.
"WOAH!" Fredd pulled back on the horses' reins and the horse stood on its hind legs for a moment and let out a startled neigh. Fortunately, it stopped before it accidentally trampled Liam.
"Turn back around! There be monsters in the woods!"

'Turn back around! There be monsters in the woods!' the man in the wagon said after it came to an abrupt stop. Liam didn't see Aria nor Chewy, that would mean she had stayed behind to play as a decoy, that foolish woman. He started to walk past the wagon without talking at first, "You don't even know half of it. If I were you, I'd leave this place at once." Stopping once he made it to the end of the wagon to talk some more. "Don't you worry about Aria, I'll see to it that she comes home in one piece."
Liam had lifted his right fist up to his chest, followed by his left hand cracking one knuckle at a time in sync with his steps. He had a good idea where Aria was, the direction the wagon came from. He had two goals, to protect Aria as well as using this as a training experience. He needed to regain his strength if he was going to fight against those monsters if they return, and a whatever was out there should make for good warm up.
There they were, the Bael in question squaring up against two Wyvern and the sky blue haired woman. A memory from ages ago flooded into Liam's mind, he was in the forest sparing with Julius teaching him the basics of how to use terrain to his advantage in a fight that looked like it would end in a loss. Liam was unaware that the two had stepped into the lair of a Bael, the creature didn't make it's presence known right away for whatever reason. When the two had stopped to take a break Liam had started to walk towards the near by pond to fetch some water when he heard Julius call out for him. Turning back he saw the giant spider disarm Julius by swatting the sword from his hand then trying to jab him with it's leg. Luckily Julius had been wearing his armor so it knocked him flat onto the ground.
"JULIUS" Liam shouted as he began to sprint towards the Beal, pulling back his arm as he balled up his fist he let go a punch landing on the side of the head of the Bael. The Bael sat there for a moment, giving Liam the time to realize that he just yelled out Julius' name before attacking it. He didn't have any time to look in Aria's direction to make sure she was actually fine or not before the Bael smacked Liam right back with it's leg right in the chest. The blow had sent him flying back a couple of feet, the spider then started to move towards him.

"Are you mad!?" Fredd spoke. He was going to talk more, but the boy with the broken arm let out a groan. His brother looked up at him and responded with a rather loud "Uncle!".
"Fine! Stranger bring her home!" He shouted before whipping the reigns of the horse. He let out a hiyah and the horse galloped off. -- The sky haired rider ran through the woods. Through The fog with her lance in hand ready to strike at anything that moved. She made her way through the branches of pine needles into the chaos of it all. Chewy was all sorts of scratched up. And Aria could see a large gash on her side. The damned spider must have got her with one of its pointy legs. Boris the black wyvern was doing a commendable job at keeping it off of its fellow wyvern.
"Chew!" Aria rushed to her brick colored mount. The wyvern made a motion to approach her but let out a wyvern yelp as she put pressure on the leg that was closest to the gash. The gash wasn't deep. It wasn't fatal. But it was incredibly painful to the wyvern and messed with her movements. Aria turned her head to see Boris jump back and avoided the spider's lunge. The bael turned around and made it's way towards both Rider and injured wyvern.
"Sh*t!" Aria yelled as she pulled her lance in front of her. The bael raised itself up and Aria positioned the lance underneath it. As the bael went to lunge at her the lance tip pierced the monster right in the mouth. Boris came from behind and chomped down on one of the bael's back legs. The wyvern tried to drag the creature back. The bael let out a noise, it wildly whipped its legs around. Aria pulled the lance out and raised it in front of herself in a defensive position. One of the bael's legs smacked her right across the chest. It was enough to knock her back a fair bit. And the part of her arms that took the hit now sported a thin line of blood. Her lance snapped in half in the assault.
"Ow." Aria had just realized the sheer power of the bael. Had that thing coordinated it's hit, Aria would have died right there. She wasn't wearing her full set of armor. Just a set of light leathers so she could move around as they chopped wood. She thanked the saint the bael hit her with the equivalent of a slap rather then a punch. Chewy let out another yelp. Aria spoke.
"I'm ok. I'm ok." I am not ok. I'm weaponless. You are injured. I've got no armor. And this thing is pissed at all of us. She tried to think of a way out of this mess. A way out that involved the three of them getting out of the woods alive. Boris was strong but he couldn't fight forever. She wasn't about to leave him out here alone in the woods with that thing either. Boris was stubborn. He'd fight it to the death. Just like Chew would. And just like Aria would too. Probably Emmett as well. But, just as she thought that this was the end a familiar voice shouted out.
"JULIUS!"
The hell? Aria turned her head to see Liam charging towards the Bael. Fists bared ready to fight. Chewy noticed the baby wyvern trailing behind him. Aria ran out and scooped the little wyvern in her arms. Aria quickly called Chewy over. She shoved Julius into her bag and buttoned up all the buttons she could.
"Chew. GO."
The wyvern looked at her.
"Go home!"
The wyvern shook its head and let out a defiant huff.
"Take Julius and go. GO! I've got Boris. GO!" She grabbed Chewy's reigns and shoved them away from her. The wyvern let out another huff.
"Please." It knew it was useless in this fight. She'd have to trust Aria, Boris, and Liam. Aria turned around. Boris the wyvern was tucked away in a thicket of trees. He used it as a buffer between him and bael. Aria whistled. She knew Boris' call. The wyvern dutifully made it's way over to her. She climbed up onto the wyvern's saddle and strapped in. The rider made a motion to grab a lance on the right side of the wyvern and looked confused when she grabbed only air.
"Emmett's a damned lefty!" She grabbed the lance that was in left side of holster. She did a quick examination and deemed it to be useful. She tapped the wyvern on the head. The coal black wyvern looked up at her.
"Alright Boris. I'm not Emmett. You know that. I know that. But, I need you to trust me. We are going to beat this thing and keep everyone safe. Got it?" She asked. The wyvern let out a scoff and nodded. Aria gave the signal. And Boris began to charge. The bael at this point was lunging towards Liam. She had Boris build up some steam with his run and she rammed the lance into the bael's flesh. She pulled the lance out and quickly guided Boris back. The wyvern responded by giving two quick hops back with its four limbs. Out of range of the monster's eight limbs.

Liam began to roll onto his neck as he lifted his lower half into the air, placing his hands on the ground next to him. Almost 'leaping' from the ground he landed on feet, breathing hard. Damned thing knocked the wind out of him, he knew he shouldn't have charged in like that, but given the weakened state of his stone and his current location a full on transformation was out of the question. Actually he could transform and carpet bomb the entire forest, not only would it rid him of the Bael in front of him, it could possibly take out the others if there was any. Based on what Aria's father had told him they harvested only dead trees to preserve the forest but before any creation must come destruction, transformation is going to be his last ditch effort to rid the woods of those creatures.
The Bael was focused on Aria and the wyvern she was riding, Liam planned on taking advantage of that distraction. He knew he couldn't muster up the strength to grab it from behind and take it to suplex city, instead he charged towards it again and leaping into the air towards it a few feet landing on the backside of the abdomen gripping the hairs tightly. The Bael had felt something latch onto it's backside, turning quickly to dislodge Liam but he was holding on for dear life. He would almost lose his grip as he let go with one hand to move it's higher on it's abdomen, slowly climbing it's back. Desperately trying to get the wyrm off it's back it began to flail around, pulling back his fist Liam began to draw a small portion of his draconic power and let go a mighty blow, the Bael let out a hissing sound as his fist made contact. He had released both hands from it's hairs as he pulled back to deal another blow, which was a mistake. The Bael was able to send him flying off, on his back once again.

What is he doing? Aria thought to herself as she saw Liam leap and land onto the back of the giant spider. The rider had to pull back on the reigns and slowly guide Boris backward to avoid the would movements of the wild bucking spider. The coal colored wyvern looked up at the rider.
“That’s Liam. He’s a comrade. Com-rade.” She had to explain it to him. Now, she knew Boris knew the meaning of that word. Emmett had to teach it to him in order to distinguish the difference between enemies and allies. Aria watched and studied the bael’s movements, she knew she couldn’t get Boris in close enough when it was madder than a bull in season. But, she liked Liam’s idea. And she could probably execute it a bit better. The bael itself was about the size of a caravan wagon. That made it about the same size as a wyvern in it’s second or third year of life. Which meant it was something that was rideable in a sense. As the bael sent Liam flying through the air for the second time, Aria took her chance. The forest was a bit too thick for a wyvern to get a proper flight, but she only needed Boris to stay airborne for a few seconds.
She wordlessly commanded Boris to act. Boris was a better-trained wyvern then Chewy ever was and probably ever will be. Boris had lived through combat. Aria took advantage of the Bael’s momentary distraction and had Boris charge forward. Aria pulled back on the reigns and used her legs to tap on Boris’s side and the wyvern stopped and raised itself upwards. It flapped its wings and kept its balance on his two hind legs and tail for a moment. The front paws? Claws? Legs? Legs.. and whole front part of the wyvern collided down onto the front end of Bael. Boris used his weight to his advantage and Aria jabbed the lance in the same spot that Liam had punched. Boris’ front talons scratched and clawed at the bael as much as it could. Aria decided to replicate Liam’s movements and quickly climbed herself onto the Bael.
“Boris away!” She shouted. The wyvern flapped its mighty wings and gave itself enough distance to avoid something. Aria’s distraction with the lance prevented the Bael from taking a bite out of Boris. The metal poker pierced through the bael’s bruised outer shell. Aria quickly gripped the hairs of the bael’s back with one arm. She wrapped her legs around either side of the spider’s body as best she could. And held the shaft end of the lance under her armpit. She kept it tilted a bit so that each movement would apply just a bit more pressure to and possibly drive the lance further into the Bael’s flesh. She had only a few precious moments to ready herself. She knew she needed to keep herself relaxed. She had to keep her body loose. Normally, most bucking wyverns would have reigns for her to control she didn’t have that. All she had was bael back hair to deal with and they were kinda pointy. But, she didn’t have time to worry about that. The Bael started to shake and jump in an attempt to shake Aria off. But, Aria wasn’t going to have it. She needed to buy Liam time to recover. She knew the dragon had more than enough firepower to deal with this thing. Or at the very least use fire to drive it away. But, she also knew how much of an energy drain it was to the one-eyed man.
Her only other hope was to hold out until someone else showed up and decided to give them a hand. And if help showed up when Liam went full dragon, then that would cause a whole other set of problems. The Bael continued to buck and flail madly as it tried to shake Aria off. The more the Bael bucked the further the lance was driven in. The sky haired rider lasted a good five minutes on the back of the bael before being thrown off it’s back and onto the forest floor below. She thanked the saint she knew how to fall “safely” off of a mad wyvern. She made an effort to relax and keep her body loose. She moved slightly in order to ensure she wouldn’t land on her head. She kept her knees bent slightly and when they made an impact on the ground she did her best to have the rest of her fall into a roll. And while she did everything right to land safely at a great height it didn’t stop her from roll crashing into a tree. The momentum of the roll had her hit the tree with her side. Right in the area of space that separated her rib from her hip. She crumpled to the floor like a wet rag.

Liam could feel something trickling down his forehead, he reached to and wiped some of it on his hand and brought it in front of his eye. As he was flung off and hit the ground with a few rolls before stopping on his back he must have hit his head on something. His body was aching all over from being tossed around like a rag doll a couple of times, by the sounds of Aria fighting to beast he could tell she wasn't doing too much better than he was. He rolled over onto his stomach before getting on his hands and feet before turning towards the bael, his size began to increase as his skin darkened. He could feel the heat of his fire in the back of his throat as closer to becoming a dragon.
Once he hit roughly twenty five percent of his transformation he could no longer feel the heat of his flame as he began to shrink back down to his normal human size as smoke came barreling out of his mouth. His stone was still tapped from fighting that monster in Lycia, it had felt like it was taking more time to recharge it's power than it did ages ago. Was his old age catching up to him, or was it simply because of his negligence of using it from time to time? He figured he had enough juice for a minute of constant use or a few if he used it as he went on the offense.
Liam brought himself in a stance ready to sprint towards the Bael, looking up at his target he began to draw power from his stone in his legs as he pushed off charging at it like a mad bull. Bringing in his right arm to his chest, tucking it under his left and turning his right shoulder towards the Bael he slammed into it while he continued to push with his legs.

The big black wyvern let out a mighty roar. It wanted desperately to fly off towards where Aria fell, but it chooses not to. The bael needed to be delt with. Two humans were currently incapacitated and it had its own duty to upheld. It would not retreat. The bael upon hearing the roar turned it's attention back to the wyvern. The wyvern kept its distance from the bael, but it made efforts to antagonize the bael. The wyvern hissed, bit, and tail slapped the bael when it could. It bought time for the two humans to recover from their injuries and begin moving. The white-haired individual, the newcomer, Boris didn't know who he was, but he was the first one to stir. A weird scent of magic and fire emanated from the white-haired man.
Boris moved over towards the white-haired guy, only to see that the man was charging right at the bael. Boris decided to help by charging the bael too. Both of their powers together would ensure that the bael would move. As to what they were to do after well, they would figure that out when they got to that point.
Aria slowly rose from her unconscious state. She went to press her hand down to pull herself up and a shooting pain went through her body. She fell back down to the ground and used her other hand to pull her self up. Urgh. She fell a fair bit away from the fight. She tried to see where the others were and couldn't. Her head and eyes were still hazy from the fall. She flopped back down and sat on her butt. She could taste blood in her mouth and her body hurt like hell.
The blue haired rider rested there for a moment. Her senses slowly came back and so did the pain. She pulled herself back up from the floor and assessed herself. There was a nasty bruise on her side. A sharp pain in her shoulder. Aria knew this pain. Dislocated. A dislocated shoulder was a common enough injury among wyvern riders. Her brother taught her how to set her shoulder back in place. At least until she can get herself looked at by a proper doctor. The sky haired rider grabbed a small stick and put it in her mouth. She found herself a tree and braced herself. She pushed her shoulder into the tree until her shoulder went back into place. This was probably the third time she's had to do this to herself and it still hurt just as much as the first.
She made her way back to the battlefield.

The bael had slide a few feet from it's location from the impact of not only Liam, but Boris as well. There wasn't any time to waste, he pulled back his left arm and threw a hay-maker into the abdomen of the spider. Shifting his body he cocked his right arm back and released another hay-maker into it, then another left, then another right, each blow drawing upon his stone for some extra umph. With each blow the spider had moved half a foot before it had any idea of how to handle the man punching it. The giant spider had attempted to swat him away with it's front leg, but Liam was already expecting it to try that a third time. Wrapping his arms around the leg and digging his heels into the ground, he held his ground and remained standing, this time holding onto the spider leg.
Starting to pull upon the spider it had slowly began to move as Liam's body started to twist. With every ounce of strength his human body had without the aid of his stone, he was going to toss the spider on it's back until it had done something he didn't expect. It reached in baring it's fangs and sunk them right into his right shoulder, as it did that it used a couple of it's leg's in the back to spin web onto. As it pulled away Liam took the opportunity to grab it's fang with his left hand. Now completely letting go of it's leg he pulled his right arm back, ignoring the pain radiating from his shoulder and punched it in the inner fold of where the fang as located as he pulled it completely off
The bael's fight or flight system kicked into full gear. Once it's fang was ripped off it began to back off quickly. Liam's entire body was screaming in pain, his shoulder more so than the rest. If the damn thing wanted to retreat, then so be it, he wasn't going to risk chasing after it. Dropping the fang to the ground, he turned towards the location he last saw Aria as the spider had ran off into the woods. It didn't take long for him to see her pressed up against a tree, starting to walk towards her he drug his feet. "Are you able to walk?" his voice had almost sounded as if he was in pain.

The sky haired rider watched as the battle unfolded. From her perspective it looked like a battle between titans. Boris pushing the Bael away. And Liam punching it in the face. REPEATEDLY! And the Bael's legs flailing about in the wind in a desperate attempt to stop the assault. The rider knew full well what the dragon was capable of. And she was mildly shocked that the the one eyed man didn't burn the whole forest down. Perhaps, he couldn't. She'd have to ask him why later. The best part came when Liam rammed his arm down it's mouth a pulled out one of it's fangs! And the bael backed off! Holy Sh*t!
Aria could see the creature retreating away into the woods and Liam approaching her. He was a sorry sight. The bael did not take that punching with out a fight. The fang marks looked deep and the blood was trickling down his arm. And that's not accounting for the fact that Liam might have been bitten by something toxic. Crap, wait.. can he even get poisoned? She was probably in a similar shape. While her injuries weren't visible her chest and side was still pulsating in pain.
"Yeah. I can walk." She approached him and offered her shoulder.
"Here, take my shoulder." She looked behind her to see Boris with his head facing the direction that the bael was in. The wyvern was slowly backing up. God dang it. Emmet trained you well. Chewy's dumb butt would have ran right after the damn thing. Once, the wyvern felt that they were all safe, only then did he turn around.
"Boris." Aria spoke softly. She whistled and the wyvern came close. It crouched down so to allow them all to hop on.
"Come on, Liam. We'll ride Boris out." The rider grabbed a rag from one of Boris's side bags. She wrapped his wounds then helped him onto the massive wyvern. Aria grabbed the fang from the floor. She ripped the side of her shirt so she could pick up the fang safely. It was thrown into the side bag. The rider then pulled herself up onto ebony colored wyvern.
"Use your good arm to hold on to my waist." She told him. Then she grabbed the reins and commanded Boris out of the forest. -- Back at the ranch. The family had rounded up a search party. Ranch hands on horses, on foot, or on a wyvern armed with whatever they had on hand. A healer from the city was brought in to tend to the injuries of the children. Chewy was anxious but unable to take flight back into the forest. The family had her bound to keep her from flying out and hurting herself further. Shackled. Little Julius was with her resting on her nose. Just as the group of ranch hands were about to head out into the forest, the trio emerged from the mist. They returned to the ranch and given the help they needed.
A few days later, a scouting party would return from the woods with good news. They managed to find the bael. Dead. curled up under a fallen log. It's abdomen was skinny and it's face black and green from infection. The concluded the monster died a slow painful death due to a combination of infection and starvation. It found itself unable to eat after the injuries to it's face and mouth.
