Lyndsey stumbled a bit, but was able to catch herself. She rubbed her throat where the wyvern lord's sword had been, glaring at Alan. He'd get it for that. Turning, she focused back on Juchack. "They're skilled fighters," she told him, shrugging. "And they've got some important mission, their leader can fill you in when he gets here."

'I'll go fetch Matis, the others are gonna have to walk though.' Alan started walking back to his wyvern. 'Don't move!' Juchack said sharply. Alan slowly turned aroun with a grim smile on his face. 'You don't want to get into this with us.'

Dray'Gon growled a bit, his anger growing from the frustration of trying to deal with these humans as the commander ordered one of his men to make sure the security on the outskirts of the camp were beefed up. After he was finished, Dray'Gon stated, "We are merely trying to find a path through these mountains. Let us leave, and we'll find another route."
The commander refused, saying, "I'm still not sure you aren't with the bandits. Until I know for sure, you two aren't going anywhere!"
Dray'Gon looked the commander straight in the eyes, a look that might have killed him, if they were capable of such. "Enough! If you won't let us leave, I'll be forced to..."
Dray'Gon didn't get to finish as an alarm was sounded. It seems the bandits were ready to attack. Dray'Gon lightened up a bit as he spoke his next words. "Seems you have a bigger problem on your hands now. If you want our help in driving them off, then give your word that when this is over, we are free to leave. Is that a deal?"

Lyndsey heard the alarm too. "Look, if you want to survive, you'll need those two," she jabbed her thumb at Dray'Gon and Alan. "They can help you hold the bandits off while I go get the others. You know damn well I'm not working with the bandits." Without waiting for further comment, and without saying anything more, Lyndsey spun on her heel and mounted her pegasus. She'd already had to talk too much as it was. She kicked into the air, and headed for where she'd left the rest of the group.

She was gone. 'Crap, who knows what kind of story she will sell Matis now.' He muttered to himself. He mounted his wyvern. 'Alright, Dray. let's show these lowlives how it's done.' He waited for Dray'Gon to get ready. or more precicly, the reactions from the mercs when he transforms.

The commander looked to Alan, and then to Dray'Gon, before saying, "If Lyndsey says I can trust you, then your help would be appreciated, but mark my words. If you so much as harm one of my men, I won't hesitate in adding you both to the lot of vanquished foes."Dray'Gon looked him back in the eye, and said, "Then we will help, but YOU'D better make sure that none of YOUR men attack ME, or I will ensure the same fate to you." With that, Dray'Gon focused through his stone, and transformed into a dragon once again before heading to help with the bandits. (OOC: Alan, I'll leave you, or perhaps Lyndsey, do control how the commander reacts. I'm not sure I can make it as interesting as either of you would.)

The commander watched in silence as the Dray'Gon transformed. In his time at this outpost he had heard many stories from bandits he captured. But nothing could have prepared him for the mgnificent being that arose in front of him. His men gaped at the towering figure.
Then Juchack pulled himself together. 'Don't just stand there, you slugs! see to the defences!' And within seconds the camp from complete halt to a wellordered the chaos.
Alan had watched as Dray'Gon took his true form, that never got old. He then flew up too him. 'Thanks for coming after us. Lyndsey apparantly knows this bunch. I dunno what her game is but we'll have too deal with it when we've taken out these bandits. When we do I need to count on you. I dunno what she's going to tell the others. Can I count on you?'

Dray'Gon nodded at Alan, as he arrived at the gate, making sure not to accidently step on any of the mercenaries, or encampments along the way. As he arrived, he noticed the mercenaries were holding off the bandits for now. However, Dray'Gon also noticed more were coming from further along the range, perhaps enough to overwhelm the current defenses.
Risking a bit of friendly fire, Dray'Gon lept over the gate, and landed on a few bandits just outside the gate. Dray'Gon was more concerned about the ballistas than the arrows anyway as his hide would likely deflect most of the arrows.
He then set about striking the bandits, whom had now deemed him a more dangerous target, as has happened in most battles he'd been in so far. Dray'Gon hoped the battle wouldn't last too long, as he was now out of vulneraries, and his elixer, while able to mend his wounds, was something he did not wish to waste.

Alan scanned quickly scanned the battlefield for the biggest threads. Right now that was Dray'Gon but there was nothing he could do about that. There, a Warrior that stood at the top of a hill elaveated abov the mass, with a Steel Bow in one hand, an a Steel Axe in the other. Alan soared at him.

Lyndsey streaked back to the group. She wanted the bandits dead slightly more than she wanted this group gone. If they managed to kill each other off, so much the better. She caught sight of the small party, and landed in front of Matis. "Bandits," she said, pointing to the camp, "fighting some mercs. Follow." She shot towards the camp, hoping they followed.

'Now hold on jest on se-' she was gone. Zeiss wasn't too eager to race after her on his two feet so he looked at Matis.

Lyndsey noticed the group's reluctance, and circled back down. "There's some bandits fighting against some Mercs. the wyvern lord and the dragon are fighting too. Help." With that, she flew in the direction of the camp. If they didn't follow, that was there own faults.

Dray'Gon slammed his tail into another bandit. These guys were persitant if nothing else, thought Dray'Gon to himself. No wonder they seemed confident in taking on this outpost. Dray'Gon was dreading the choice he made to become the target of greatest concern. He'd manage to knock down a few of the bandits who didn't get back up, mainly the ones he landed on, but dispite all his efforts, he could not keep them busy long enough to avoid getting severly hurt.
Dray'Gon was still hesitating on using his Full Elixer however, wanting to make the most use out of it, but if they didn't start dropping soon, he'd have no choice. Trying not to show signs of weakness, Dray'Gon continued to press the attack, too arrogant(sp?) to even ask for assistance.

Alan hit another bandit on his way to the Warrior but he had chosen too great a foe. Two steel arrows were flung his way,the first he managed to dodge but the second hit him in the stomach. Alan paid it no heed, still he was racing toward his opponent. Then the pain started.
The arrow had gone straight through his armor and was lodged in deep. Yet still Alan ignored it, he ould fetch a vulenary later. The Warrior was shaken by the persitence of his enemy but did not lose control, he took out his Steel Axe. Alan had now reached the axemen. Holding his sword tight with one hand and the riegns with his orther he slowed down very suddenly. The Warrior had prepared for it and landed a hit on Alan's helmet. It left no visual mark but Alan had left the concious world.
