As Matthias was about to fire his next shot, the unsteady archer managed his second shot. Thankfully, the shot was a poor one, sinking in high on Matthia's left shoulder. Unfortunately, the shot threw off Matthias's balance, and he took a step back wincing. Quickly, he yanked the arrow out of his shoulder, grunting in pain. He quickly aimed his arrow, and let it fly. It sunk into the bandit's body, emitting a satisifying noise. The archer gasped in pain, and collasped on the ground. Matthias cringed as he heard something crush beneath the archer.
"Great, there goes my shot at getting his bow,' he muttered, as he quickly jogged over to the wounded archer. His eyes scanned the body, but nothing immediately caught his eye. Then, he noticed a small blue bottle. Shrugging, he put it in his pouch. Then, he darted into the tree line, trying to locate Sain, in hopes of aiding the fighter lord.

Sain was focusing on getting to the axe-wielding bandit when he heard Matthias scream in pain , he saw that The bandit was very near. Sain ran over to the Enemy bandit , swinging at him and connected at the arm, slicing it nearly off. "Heh, no way your gonna kill anyone anymore" . Sain heard the bandit "Gah... No, I f-failed..." thats all the bandit managed before bleeding out. Sain saw Matthias was hurt, and needed medical attention, then Sain remembered the elixer that he got off the bandit the other day "Here, take this" Sain tossed over the blue bag "Those bandits were too easy."

Matthias reached up to catch the flying bag, but did so with the arm that had just been wounded. He dropped the back, but quickly bent over to scoop it up. Peering inside, he found a strange blue substance. He shrugged and dumped a small amount over the shoulder wound.
"You're right, these bandits are too easy,' he commented, tossing the bag back to Sain. "They probably have a boss somewhere though, and he probably won't be easy pickings..."
OoC: Thank you.

I would Kill for a horse right now

SIghing, Matthias glances around, praying that the bandits ran off when they saw Sain's bloody handiwork. He knew that he wouldn't stick around if someone hacked off his buddy's arm and shot someone else in the chest. Bandits were notoriously cowardly... With one final glance at the archer, and a sigh of regret for the squished bow, Matthias took off after the lord, quickly catching up to him.
six words repeated themselves over and over in his head, like a mantra: "...we can sleep in my castle."

12 hours later Exhausted, the Duo collaspe into the Castle and a Maid leads them into their rooms. A soldier runs into Sain's room "Lord Sain!!! We heard the news of the bandits, are you ok?!?" The Soldier yells
Sain Grunts and Says "Im fine, and get me my axe!!! I think i'll be needing it!!!"
The Soldier runs out and 5 minutes later returns with a Wolf Beil.
(OoC: Wolf Beil Obtained!!!)
Sain rests for a few minutes and then says to Matthias "We'll spend a few nights here Recruiting and then leave again, ok?"

Matthias nodded, barely able to bob his head. He heard something about a Wolf attacking or something. He really didn't care at this point. The only thing an axe would do for him right now was remove his feet. He didn't even think about the fact that Sain acted like he owned the place. Later, his mind told him, for now, I need sleep. He let some maids drag him to a room, mumbling something about being Sain's trusted vassal. His dreams were full of riches, and hopes of being reunited with the less... stout... members of his "party."

[glow=red,2,300]Several Hours Later[/glow]
Matthias awoke, much to his surprise, in a soft bed. He blinked away the sleep from his eyes, and reached out to touch the soft blankets.
"Okay, this is definitely a step up from where I have been recently," he admitted, fingering the softness of the blanket. He glanced around, his eyes telling him exactly where he was: a castle bedroom. Gray stones lined the walls, broken only by a decent painting of a wyvern. "Looks nothing like the real thing," muttered Matthias as he rose out of bed. A new livery had been laid out for him, and in the colors of Ostia. Grunting, he slipped on the new clothing, marveling at how well it fit. "Well, at least there's some benefit to working for the loony," he admitted, as he admired himself. Thankfully, they had left his bow, arrows, and other gear. Smiling, he grabbed up the stuff, and put it on as best he could. He began looking around for his cloak, only to remember that he'd loaned it out to someone. He shook his head, he didn't want to think about the others right now. Rath was probably engaged in some insane fight, and Flyssa... He hit himself in the head. Those two could take care of themselves, and if not, Kenshin was supremely competent. He splashed some water on his face, and set off into the hallways of Ostia, intent on figuring out just what his lord's position was in this realm.
OoC: should we move this somewhere? Seeing as we're in Castle Ostia, and not Traveling to Ostia?

OoC: boy, this is familiar.... ^.^
The two knights charged down the road, kicking up great clouds of dust as they traveled. Speed was the key, they didn't know how badly Ostia was doing. Alexia hid her smile as she noticed that she outrode the veteran Marcus. She couldn't hold a candle to him in combat, but she could outride him any day of the week. In fact, she was so far ahead of him... She reigned to a stop as she noticed that the paladin had ceased moving.
"What is it, sir?" she asked, twisting to look back. "I thought I saw a wyvern landing in that village over there," he pointed. "Looks like wyvern weather, eh?"
Alexia wasted no time, charging straight for the village. They probably needed her protection. Sighing, the more mature paladin followed behind.

one lone rider tore down the road, her horse moving with a shiftness that most couldn't handle. She sunk low in her saddle, her weapons tied tightly to the steed. Villagers dove out of the way, desperate to avoid the charging beast. Whatever it is the girl was doing, it must be important. They watched as she headed towards a distant castle, the seat of Ostia.

'Look a camp, that's probably the ground troops.' Alan drifted down to the camp ans saw two wyverns stationed at the main tent, Themis wasn't one of them. Alan went inside and saw the two lazy wyvern knights eating a great feast all by themselves.
Alan softly spoke with the guard, who told him that they said they were put in charge by Alan and have been acting like they owned the place ever since. Alan turned to the knights who had finally noticed him and the smile had died from their lips. 'I am giving you one chance! Get out of the tent and I will go easy on you!' One ran off as fast as he could but the other shouted back. 'How dare you speak to me like that! I'm gonna-' Alan smacked him right in the face and the guy fell over. 'Put him in the brig and strip him of his rank, divide the food over the camp.' He then turned to Matthias. Sorry that you had to see that. Let's go find Rath, alright?

Matthias shrugged, and looked around. What did he care if the wyvern knights acted like jerks? Ninety percent of all soldiers seemed to act that way. "Great, a camp of soldiers, wonder who ended up here," he murmured to himself. He turned to Alan. "Any idea when we're moving out? Those bandits aren't going to let us just sit here and recoperate." He continued looking around. With this many people around, anyone could sneak in unnoticed. For that matter, it would be hard to notice a bandit amongst the people. He sighed, and tried to notice anything unusual.

Matthias found himself on a familiar road, riding behind a familiar person. "Looks like another damn flashback," he muttered to himself. Soon, they would arrive in Ostia, and things would start up again. Part of him longed to run back into the woods, and just keep going. Another part of him wanted to make certain that at least Alexia remained safe. Sighing, he resigned himself to the current course.

Fleetfoot knew the area better than either Alexia or Matthias, and was more than capable of taking the two companions through the terrain. With little trouble, the horse plodded along. Having no problems riding forced Alexia's mind towards other things. She remembered that Calis had been wounded, and hoped that his wounds would have healed by now. There also might be some difficulty with Kenshin's and Matis's rather aprubt way of dealing with Lord Fabis. Finally, there was the issue of Marcus, who she had left there to carry out their duty. She could only hope that they would find a territory moving towards rebuilding itself. As they approached the castle, things began to look bleak...
