"Sleep now? Sounds good," Usha agreed. She gathered a rock for a pillow, and collapsed fairly close to Zeiss. Within moments she was snoring quite loudly.

Alcibie tried to smile after the large person knocked herself out. She moved around the group. For some reason she did not feel comfortable with these people unless there was a wall separating her from them. She did not know why she felt that way there was just a chill at the base of her spine.
“I wake up earlier. I’ll just relieve whoever is on watch.” Alcibie said wondering if they were going to gather anything for the camp.

Wylie decided this was the time to have a private word with Crowley, so he went over to where he was sitting on a log for first watch.
"Hey Crow, I was wondering," he said quietly. "All these people, except for Zeiss, have signed up to work for Crowley the Magnificent. As far as I know, we're travelling to Santaruz to collect money and then help take on these heroes. Do these guys even know about that? Do they know why they're following you?"

Crowley sighed. Wylie was sharper than him. He should be leading this band, not him, how 'magnificent' he was.
"They don't. Rumors and tales have blinded them. To be honest, I have lived by many names Wylie. You might have heard of Kraul the Banditlord? That was me. The Forest Spirits? That were me and my friends. I think my little lies are getting out of hand."
Crowley took another gulp from his bottle. He threw it away and took out another bottle from his bag. He opened it with his teeth - which was difficult be had lost many over the years - and grinned at Wylie.
"You see, Wylie, at first I followed this... Matthias, he's incredible and he believes in his cause. And maybe... well, I've done some terrible things in my years as mercenary. REALLY terrible things. So maybe it's time for me to do some good to the world. And that's what I'm trying to do now. But I can't do it alone. And if I can get these people to follow me because they think I'm great and all that, well, that's fantastic, because I can't take any of the heroes alone..."
He paused. Should he tell Wylie... Nah. There was no need for him to know that Crowley had barely touched Roland. He patted Wylie.
"Yeh. We should tell them. We should tell them about the heroes. Good idea. You tell them... and thanks. Thanks Wylie." He smiled at Wylie and suddenly felt extremely miserable. This was the first time in his life his conscience really started to play up. Before his lies were always restricted to a certain area. Now, half the world thought he had 'killed' Roland. He better start killing another 'Hero' before the lie comes out...

(OoC: Ok, I didn't realise everyone was waiting for me to post. It just struck me as rude because I was 2 posts ago as well.)
"Alright then Crow, I'll tell them," said Wylie puzzled. Crowley looked like he was really struggling with something. Wylie decided to let it go. Crowley would sort it out.
He then looked at Usha asleep and Zeiss already laying down, and then turned back to Crow. "Actually, I think I'll tell them all tomorrow," he said. "This is big stuff and probably something they shouldn't hear half asleep.
Wylie then started looking around for a soft patch of grass.

[OOC: It's fine, half the time my motivation is so I can just check the board and when my name is not there I check the thread ...hehe ^_^']
Alcibie sighed maybe they were not going to set up anything beyond watch duty. Not that she really cared, she was far to use to crashing on the church's floor. Alcibie remembered the time she fell asleep cleaning the stained glass. That was not a good day.
She shrugged it off. She would be warm multiple layers were amazing like that. Warm earth was better than cold stone. White was her only problem. Dirt and White never got along. They were heading back anyway maybe she would actually buy another colored robe.
Lying down she felt her bag shift. She turned bright red. She had never paid them for the food she took. Oh well looks like I am one rule down. Maybe I can get royally drunk next. Alcibie would share...eventually, it was better to eat in the morning than at night. She pulled at the material around her quickly passing out wrapped around her staff.

OoC: I'll go ahead and time shift, if that's alright with everyone.
The first rays of morning sunlight hit Usha's face, awakening the giant woman. She sat up, yawning mightily and stretching her massive arms. It took several blinks for her to realize where she was, and with whom. Her gaze fell on Crowley, who certainly didn't look like a mighty dragon killer...

At last, the snoring had stopped. Zeiss at last went too sleep... alomost, then the sunlight hit him. You've got to be kidding me. Slowly Zeiss opened his eyes.

OoC: back from Cali! :] and for the record, it was wierd not having a white christmas, and do people always have their pants sagging past their knees? :/
BiC: Rayl had been up all night, strangely, as he had been kept up thinking...not about what was going on, or what would be, as he normally would, but of what would happen to everyone arund him if wrst came for worst...in all honesty, he only trusted Persephone and Alcibie, being as he had been traveling with them before he had them join up with Crowley, and already he had a bad feeling.
As the sunlight shown through the trees, he scanned the area: all clear. His training hadn't left him as just a knight, but he was also a tactician (and the way lesser known baker situation that he had to keep secret for sanity reasons), and already he was passing back and forth, deep in thought, before he almost stepped on Usha, but had snapped to just in time to stop himself from doing so," Alright then, from here it should be a short ride to Santaruz...but then again..." he gazed around, the only mounts in sight being Persephone's pegasus and Wylie's horse, whilst his was rotting in the streets of Ostia no doubt," Make that a day or two of a ride...now if you'll excuse me, I'll see If I can hunt us something to eat." he stretched, picked up his lance, and headed into the trees.

As Wylie woke to the sounds of people moving around, he sat up and looked around. He was underneath a large, shady tree and was surprisingly comfortable. He shifter himself back so he was propped up against the tree and then reached into the bag he'd been using as a pillow for some dried meat.
After chewing on this for maybe 15 minutes, he got up found a spot to sit closer to everyone and spoke up.
"Everyone, now that we're so close to Santaruz, I feel you should all know exactly what you're getting into. You may have heard some myths or stories that the Heroes from the Scouring are alive and fighting. You've probably also heard numerous ballads about Crowley here. Well, it's no myth. They were raised from the dead by a bandit warlord named Hargus whose agenda it is to rule this continent and eventually the world using their power."
How can I expect them to believe this? he thought. Even I step back every now and then and wonder if it isn't some fairy tale story.
He continued. "Crowley and I were on our way back to Santaruz to collect payment for a mission we completed when we met up with Zeiss who asked us to join him in taking these heroes down, and we accepted. We're still on our way to collect, but after that, we'll hopefully be able to locate another group with the same task, and help them destroy whoever's left.
I'm telling you all this because I don't want you following Crow blindly to your deaths. This is your chance to make a truly informed decision based on experience and ability, rather than pub stories. In short, you have to decide whether you're with the right group of people."
There, I made that as honest as I can.

Rayl had wandered through the forest for some time, before he had finnally found smething, not a deer to take down for food, but it was the horse they had been using to carry suplies, it had run off in the battle. He calmly whistled for it, as it cantered over, before he mounted up, grateful it still had it's saddle on, and he rode back to the campground, just in time to listen the whole of Wylie's speech.
"Well, in all honesty, I believed it from when I first heard it, as my trainer back in Laus had been talking about it one night at the local pub...he may be a Lycian, but he lied like a nomad of Sacae..." he patted the horse on the side, before gazing across the rest of the rag-tag group,"and as my duty as a knight is to protect the innocent...my lance and service are under your command. Oh, and sir Wylie, for the record: I was only calling him by 'the magnificent' just so he'd be more willing to let myself and friends to tag along." he smirked, as Crowley was still asleep, as was most of the group," Oh, and I was joking on calling the ladies my sisters...so yeah...but if I catch you doing anything, well, informal to them, you will get speared." this was, hopefuly, a joke.

Crowley had heared all of it. Ah well, at least now they knew the truth. He did help kill Roland, though. But that was all he did. Help. He pretended to be still asleep. After a few minutes he got up.
"Aah, good morning, folks. What's with all the racket." He winked at Wylie and bowed his head slightly as a sign of gratitude. As long as the people in the pubs loved him, he didn't give a damn. Right now, he needed people he could rely on. Strong ones. People who didn't run from a fight when he did. People who would catch an arrow when his back was facing it. Anyway, "brave" people.
He got his horse ready.
"Let's get our payment. And then we'll get ourselves a hero's head." He was eager to leave. He hoped the others were ready as well.

Alcibie smiled she had been awake for a while like always. It had been nice watching the sun rise. The others had awaked one by one...mostly.
“Well the mutterings of Father Reeves make more sense now. I think the church is taking this whole undead thing a little too personally.” Alcibie said looking to Wylie she could believe him for now. He did not have the appearance of a man who was lying. Nor was he showing signs of stress, well he was just not as bad as he should if he was lying.
“Thanks for clearing up that whole sister thing Rayl. I do not know why you feel like making decisions for me.” Alcibie sighed, she really was a push over…a mouthy push over. “I am actually the child of two mercenaries. Father Reeves raised me. Personally no clue if my folks are alive and kicking. But what ever let the pieces fall where they may…” Alcibie sighed she really should…

Usha shrugged. She didn't particularly care what it was they were doing, so long as they were killing people and fighting battles. The details would remain just that, details. "We still fighting things, right? Usha in."

Wylie clarified with a slight smile, "Yes, we're still killing things."
After allowing himself a moment to take in what he'd heard, the fact that everyone still wanted to come along, Wylie then spoke up again, "Crowley's right. Let's get going," and he climbed up onto his horse as he said this. He then pulled out some sort of bread-biscuit to eat on the move.
He looked around at the trees and fields. "This is a good day to travel. We'll be having a late lunch in Santaruz," he said cheerfully.
