Matthias had been attempting to hold back his emotions throughout the entirety o the funeral. He also had to comfort his old friend, who had left the sleeve of his dress tunic sopping wet. "Leavin' right now? Don't ya think it's a little early?" Matthias asked, waving at the funeral. "I'd go but Alexia's gonna need some support. Tell ya what, we'll leave in a day or so, and we'll meet ya there."

Indeed, Alexia had been affected by the funeral. Before she heard Matis and Alan coming, she had been a complete wreck. On hearing them come up, she was just able to pull herself together. "That's alright Matthias. We need to move swiftly so that no one else will fall in this fight. Fleetfoot stands waiting, and Marcus has instructed me to follow Lord Matis's orders," she bowed stiffly, before heading off to the stables. As soon as her back was turned, she allowed her wall to crumble, and the tears came once again.

"Thinking it twice, it may be a wise idea to wait a day or two. We don't want to have to protect someone because of emotional problems. Not saying that Alexia is weak, just that she won't be at her fullest." Matis whispered.
"Matthias, please go and tell her that we will be leaving this Friday, at about 8 AM. Find us at the entrance of the town."
The next couple of days went very slowly. Calis' funeral had been the Wednesday prior to the departure. In the meanwhile, Matis took this time to help Yeo with Santaruz, and taught him some combat skills, to help him defend the town if they were to be attacked again. Yeo would train the generals later, and those would train the soldiers, meaning that the army would be stronger if a second attack were to take place.
Matis also took this time to practice with Marcus. Despite being in his fifties, Marcus was an extremely skilled fighter. He could probably take down the entire Ostian army on his own, and defeat them unscathed. His movements were too fast, and his reactions were superb. It was obvious why he was the general of the Ostian troops.
OoC: Break-time. Post whatever happened in these 2 days regarding your character. After everyone has done so, we'll go back to Ostia for Kenshin. In the meanwhile, Kenshin can either fake Sain(get into his account and post for him to go on with the story), or forget the Sain part, and meet Pietor, who is going to start RPing soon.

Alan was annoyed by the delay. Alas, these people maybe highly skilled, but they have long way to go from being soldiers. He spend th last few days assisting with the patrols which had been posted around the entire length of the castle area but things seemed reasonably calm. At last they were ready to set out for Ostia.

OoC: Marcus is general of the Pherean troops. He and Alexia were sent to assess the situation at Ostia, and give aid as necassary. It was how Alexia ended up joining the group.
Matthias knew the delay was a good idea, and was impressed by Matis's strategy. Moving quickly, he caught Alexia before she made it to the stables. "C'mon, Matis is givin' us a few days rest. And I think you really need it," he said, his voice soft. Alexia sniffed a few times, shifting her feet. Rolling his eyes, Matthias enveloped his old friend in a hug. "Hey, it's gonna be alright. We'll make certain that nobody else goes," he soothed. "Everyone goes, Matthias. Nobody lasts," she spoke, her voice full of despair. To this, Matthias had nothing to say, he simply comforted his old friend...
The next day, Matthias spent in solitude. His thoughts warred with each other, and he needed to come to grips with himself in order to move forward. It was hard for him to believe how much things had changed since he came upon three lords a few months ago. He'd gone from being a fresh recruit, to an Ostian vassal, to a hardened veteran. He'd had to bury two companions, and didn't know what happened to several more. Life had turned itself completly upside down, and forgotten to take Matthias with it. Now, they wanted him to go back to Ostia. He remembered seeing Flyssa at the assualt, but it had only been for a moment. Passing it off as his mind playing tricks, he'd forgotten it until now. One thing was for certain, Alexia would need him to be there. Besides, he wasn't about to let the bandits get away with what they've done. "They've taken too much, it's time for us ta take some stuff back," he muttered, his voice carried on the wind. He spent the rest of the day yelling at fresh recruits, wondering who exactly taught them to shoot a bow.
He did some training with his other companions, trying to build trust. He even attempted to ride a wyvern, with rather comic results. It was easy to see why there were no flying archers. One time, he swore he saw something coming from the north, from Ilia. Once again, he passed it off as a mindtrick. When the day came, he was as ready as the rest of the group, eager to head back... to Ostia.

Sokka and the rest fo the group had set off for Ostia about a day ago. The going was smooth, most of the bandits seemed to have retreated with the onse who made it out of the castle. In the middle of the second day, a panicing woman ran up to the group. "Please!" She shouted. "My village has been attacked by bandits! Please help me, I beg of you!" She cried.

Thanks to Matthias, Alexia did feel a little better. Despite that, she didn't want to do much for the remainder of the day of Calis's funeral. She spent several hours at the grave site, just talking. Part of her was amazed that she'd grown so attached to someone in such a short time. A few people had noticed her, but most left her alone.
The next few days she spent with other people, trying to feed off them. She practiced with Matis and Marcus, marvelling at the skill of both leaders. She couldn't come close to hitting either skilled warrior, and spent most of her time observing. She also led a few patrols, and sent word back to Pherae, reporting on Marcus's and Alexia's condition. Time seemed to fly by, and she rarely had the oppurtunity to reflect on the recent tradegy (I forgot how to spell that word...). When the day came, she was eager to get going, anxious to strike back at the ones who took so much.

Katara had just gotten back into the groove of things, Calis's funeral had really taken it's toll on her. "Matis, it's your chioce" she said, approching him form the back of the group. The woman stared at Matis with teary eyes. Katara knew Matis would say yes. It was not like him to turn down someone in need.

OoC: that's everybody, except Haku, who seems to have wondered off or something... BTW, if we do decide to go with the quest proposed by katara/Sokka, let's make sure to move the topic. We already crammed a funeral into "Seize the Castle!"
Matthias head the woman's tearful request, and was almost ready to accept it himself. "Ya know, we could sent most of us on, and a few could take care of this. Chances are it's only a few stragglers from the castle attack," he pointed out, "nothin' we can't take care of.
Of course, like Katara, he was banking on Matis accepting the woman's plea.

Alan sighned when he heard of the attack and knew they would delayed once more but there was no choice. He looked at Matis to see what he would decide.

OoC: Marcus is now in charge of Ostia, since Sain has supposedly dissapeared...again. So...it only makes sense that he is the general of the Ostian troops as well now. This would help Pherae and Ostia come closer together, and even become full-fledged allies. I really don't know.
BiC: Matis sighed. It had been long since he had last seen his friend, and he wanted to see if he was even alive at all. But he wasn't going to let someone else be bothered by the bandits. He had already lost his hometown and family to them, and even two of his companions as well.
"Lead the way." he said to the woman, who just hugged him and started walking to the north. They were going to the border between Santaruz and Sacae...Matis' and Kenshin's hometown used to be there...

Zeis awoke in sickbay. 'Where... am I?' 'in sickbay, we found you unconcious in the hall and brought you here.' A kind voice answered. 'You interrupped my meditation?! Dear God,how long have I slept!?' 'Little over a week, my sincere apologies.' 'Curses, I must join Matis once more... I sense something... A young boy getting hopelessly pursued. I guess I must rescue him.' A magical circel surrounded Zeiss and he dissappeared.
