Alan had flown without direction but somehow had always drifted twoard the mountains to the east. Eventually he came upon a castle with a few towns beside it. Alan recognised after a moment of searching his mind: Pherae. He had come here after he defected from Bern and it was here that he treated his first war injury, he still had it, burn marks tend to linger. It was also the place where he had first met Alexia. He decended down to the castle.

Alan flew to the gate and then rode into the courtyard. Several guards looked at him but they didn't stop him as he thought they would. Instead a unarmed knight ran over too him. 'Ah, sir Alan! I remember you from your last visit!' 'You do?' Alan asked uninterested as he continued to ride to the stable. That's odd, I wasn't exactly embraced with open arms last time. 'We've received a thorough report from marcus of the events leading up too the seige on Ostia.' Alan still wasn't interested, he arrived at the stable and untied his Wyvern gear. 'So?' 'Well, it happens that we also recently received a letter for you. It's from your brother, hope it's good news.' The knight ran off again. Alan had taken the letter without saying anything. When he turned to his wyvern again he was completely pale.

Alan read the message without any kind of outward emotian but hhis wyvern could sense he was distressed. After he had put the piece of paper away Alan reattached the Wyverns gear again. He had left before people even noticed.

Lyndsey flew in from Sacae, tired from her journeying. She noticed a Pheraen stable, and landed. The handlers recognized her from the Ostian siege, and began caring for her pegasus. "I'm looking for a wyvern rider.." she began. "You mean Sir Alan?" a stable hand popped up. Lyndsey stared for a few moments. That would be awfully convenient. "Yes... the Bernese deserter," she clarified. "Aye, he returned about a week an' a half ago. Headed back ta Bern fer somein'," the stable hand said. Lyndsey nodded, and set into motion quickly.
