Sokka lead Kana and Dirk down through Sacae and into Apharen. They were as rushed as ever, for the festival drew ever closer with each hurried step they took.
"We'll be there in about another two days!" Sokka told his companions between breaths.

"I can hardly wait." Dirk muttered under his breath, it had almost been a year since he first met Sokka, back on the Sacae Plains looking for his brother. Just him and Kabold, it was the life, but after he got caught up in Ostia's relations to Bern... Maybe this festival will get me reminded about the glory days.

They had traveled south for the next day and a half. And when they got the the village, they were shocked at what they found.
