OOC: I assume you passed out since you said he was drifting in and out.
IC: Alan would wake up to a rather uncomfortable feeling. That of having a bucket of water thrown on his face, and not just the water, the bucket with it.
He would notice, before anything else that his weapons, armor and gear were all gone. His arms were bound, though his legs were not, and he was lying on a dirt floor in what must have been some farmers shack.
The person who obviously would have been the one to throw the water at him, he would recognize as the captain of the scouting party.
"Finally awake traitor. Good, now perhaps we can get started. I'm going to ask questions, and you are going to answer them. For starters, where is your accomplice?"

'I'm not sure where my accomplice is. So, are you ordered to takr me to the Bandit Base?' Alan asked.

The captain seemed a little annoyed with Alan's lack of cooperation and arrogant attitude, and expressed that frustration with a metal boot to Alan's gut.
"You seem to overestimate your position." He growled. "We have reports of a rogue Wyvern Lord near the battle of Santaruz, and now we find one circling one of our destroyed towns, and you expect us to believe you have no idea where any of your companions are?"

'If you want to know, I was in pursuit of the thing that caused the destruction of that town when I ran into your platoon. What you're dealing with is a Dragon that's gone psycho. If you care for Bern you'll release me and help me take that thing out.' Alan said knowing that his chances would be gone once they reached the castle.

The captain looked at him incredulously.
"You expect me to believe...that a rogue like you came back into Bern simply to warn us of an attack by a 'dragon'? And that, even if such a beast was here, you would somehow have the ability to fight it? You think I am so dumb that I am going to let you go free? Not a chance, you are a wanted criminal, for treason at least. And once I find out just who you are, we'll see if we can't add a few more charges to that. I suggest if you believe in gods, you pray to them."
The captain walked to leave the small room, the door that he exited led into another room. The size of this building was impossible to determine. He called to someone past the door.
"Make preparations, we'll depart for the capitol in the morning."

Alan considered the man's words. When they reach the capital they'll learn all about me but they'll also know all about Aerious' previous attack. But it'll be too late by then. They haven't even confirmed that amongst my gear lies Malte. Alan sighed and closed his eyes. nothing could be done about it now.

A few short hours later Alan would hear a voice, in the midst of sleep.
Journey to Etruria. The land of the faithful, in that haven, the truest knight of the age lies waiting. My power lies with them. To engage that which threatens your home will only result in your death. Seek the companions you fled, therein lies your path to life and victory.
Alan would awaken to an odd sound, that off something chewing. Further observation would show a rat biting at the bindings on his arms, weakening the hemp that held him captive.

I'm suppose to go and seek some knight at the other side of the country while Aerious is in the middle of wiping ot my people? Alan thought angrily but no answer came. 'Well I guess my chances aren't very good without Malte on my side anyway.' With that thought he got rid of the bounds around his arm
Alan opened the door very slowly, he found that the guard had fallen asleep. Alan walked up behind him, unsheated the mans sword and cut his head off. That's one.

Alan, would see to his delight, a very welcome sight in the room. His weapons, armor an provisions were tied in a bundle next to the wall. The guards sword that he took was a shoddy piece of garbage, and wasn't even worth the weight it would add to carry.
He did notice, however, that Malte was missing from the stash of weapons. The room did not look like anyone had forced there way inside, so it wasn't stolen from the soldiers, but where was it?
Inside this room was a small table, that the man's head now rested on, a few blood stained plates, chairs and tankards, and two doors. From one of the doors there was a small patch of hay protruding, and from the other door a bit of muffled noise, like talking. He could not discern what they were talking about however.

Alan refitted himelf with armor and clothes, all the while wondering just how big this place actually is. He didn't grieve the loss of Malte, now at least he didn't have to carry, nor had it been any use up until now (courtesy of Holy Knight Barigan off course). He thought back to the instructions he gave him. "Seek the companions you fled, therein lies your path to life and victory." Fled? I didn't flee them, I just went ahead of their slow ***es. Why does he have to be such a dramaqueen? Well, at the moment I ain't got nothing else to do then go through Door Number One. So he did.

Alan would see a stable when he opened the door. There, lay several sleeping wyverns, roughly half a dozen in this room. The rumbling of their breathing was loud, but it still may have been fortunate that Alan killed the man in the last room without a fight. There was a large double door, through which sunlight peeked under.

Alan knew that there was no point in escaping unless he could do something to delay his opponents first 'Sorry 'bout this, but I really need to get outta here safely.' Alan took the lamp from the last room, closed the door behind him and set it on fire. Most of the wyverns woke up as soon as they smelled the smoke. Alan hurried the other side of the room and opened the large double door, most of the wyverns instinctively tried to get out. As they passed him Alan got onto one. He knew that well trained wyverns would go to return to their masters as soon as they called for them but by the time they got into the air he could be long gone. 'And now, the getaway.' He said smirking as he took off.

Alan's plan was genius in it's simplicity. And true enough the men in the next room had heard the roaring and gnashing, as well as smelling the smoke. Alan would be leaving the village behind as a dot on the horizon when the soldiers finally managed to mount their wyverns.
