Alexia looked down at the woman, and quickly decided that she liked her. "That's Fleetfoot, I've had her for years," explaiend the knight, smiling. Then, realizing that this might be a clever ploy to get her to lower her guard, she tightened her grip on the lance, and hardened her stare at the rider. "Who is that? He looks like he's from Bern," she asked the mage, who was obviously the brains of the outfit.

A messenger and his two knight escorts were watching from a building some feet away. 'Ok. Lets see. Mage..check, Archer..uh check, sword weidling lord...not check....ahh good enough. Im tired of travaling around. Go to Ostia first then make your way to Bern...ya great advice. "Is that them?" One on the escorts asked. "Sure seems like it, come lets approach them.
The messenger and the two knights went up to Flyssa. "You mage. Im searching for a women named Flyssa, an archer named Matthias, and a Lord named Kenshin. Please tell me that you and your companies are this party."

'Well... Fleetfoot sure is cute!' Flyssa hugged the horse, 'They're servants and yeah, one's from Bern...'
Flyssa looked up at her new friend, 'So, you're a cavalier right? From... Umm... Lycia right?'
She turned to the man who had spoken to her, 'I'm Flyssa...' She said cautiously, approaching them, 'The less smart one over there is Matthias and I have no idea where Kenshin is...'
She looked at the messenger, 'Who are you?'

Alexia was unnerved by the sudden appearance of new people. She didn't like being outnumbered, and was beginning to wonder where Marcus had run off to. She glanced over at Flyssa, wondering why the mage was asking questions at a time like this.
"Yes, I'm from Pherae, one of their knights... Umm... do you know those people?" she pointed at the new delegation.
As she talked, Marcus rode in. He glanced around, and figured out the situation.
"Alexia, I certainly hope you have a good reason to have your lance pointed at Santacruz knights," the paladin stated, causing the girl to blush. "Err... they didn't look like they were good guys," mumbled Alexia, as she lowered the lance. Marcus looked over the party. "An archer, a wyvern rider most likely deserter, if he's this far in, and a young mage," he survyed.
"an archer?" asked Alexia, craning to notice the body. The cloaked man groaned in pain, and obviously didn't look comfortable. she looked at Flyssa, "is that your boyfriend or something?"

'No, him and I are not related, Thank Elimine for that.' Flyssa stared at the Santaruz knights, 'Santaruz... In Bern, right?' She then heard a few groans from Matthias and remembered they were looking for an inn.
'Do you know where I could find an inn and an item store, that peasant over there is poisoned and needs rest...'

"O thank god ive found them. Now to get rid of this treacherous mission. "I am a messenger from Santaruz, these are my two knight escorts." The messenger pulled out a peace of paper rolled up and marked with the seal of Santaruz. "Ive come bearing news from Calis the marquess of Santaruz. He asked me to give this message to Kenshin but if he was unable to be found then to give it to either you or the archer. So well here you go." The messenger handed Flyssa the paper and rode off to the bar. The two knights followed. Flyssa removed the seal and read the message.
'Kenshin, Flyssa, or Matthias whoever recives this first. Several bandit camps currently reside outside my castle in Santaruz. I was going to ride to Ostia but now I must stay here and protect the town and surronding villages. I ask that you and your companies ride here with haste for i fear we may lost this battle and if not, many innorcent victims. I ask you for help. The other lords i witness fighting had incrediable strenght and if seen here would increase the morale of my troops tenfold. I hope that this message reaches either of you if not then we already loss. I dont want to leave details here so if you come i want you to meet in a forest near the castle There is a small clearing with a statue there. I have already sent some knights there to wait for your arrival. I pray that you come and Flyssa if it is you reading this know that you will be pampered by many servants in the castle and be treated with the upmost respect. Calis marquess of Santaruz.'

Alexia overheard both conversations, and had been caeful to mark details. She was about to turn to Marcus, when she saw her mentor drawing the archer onto his mount. He then reached into the archer's posessions, and drew out a bag, which he dumped over a bloodied shoulder.
"Umm.... I think we should go help them. We're supposed to fight off bandits, right?" she turned to the others, hoping they would make the decision.
"This man should be alright, I'll ride with him. He was badly poisioned, but thankfully he had his own antitoxin. Our orders were to go to Ostia... " he looked at the messengers. "It does seem like this will be helpful. I remember young Lord Calis, and believe our lord would want him to help."
Alexia smiled, thankful that everything was alright, and that they would be helping. Maybe all that training would finally be put to good use.

"Really? So you people know the Lord of Ostia?" asked Alexia, here eyes widening. It was surprising to think that they'd actually found who they were looking for.
"Come on, we should start for Santacruz," stated Marcus, looking at the other warriors. Alexia nodded, and prepared to ride there.

'Wait! Has anyone got a bucket of water? Or at least a spare horse,' Flyssa shouted as Alexia and Marcus was about to leave.
'Anyways, you're going to Ostia... Are you sure Santaruz is there? How about I be generous and allow you two to take me there, afterall Ostia sounds... regal enough, and I've heard all about it's beautiful... buildings.' She walked back towards Rath and Matthias, 'I'm sure both of my vassals would accompany me too! It'll be like an adventure!'

Matthias slowly came back to conciousness, though he still felt wek. He blinked, and found himself in a place he'd never been before. Is this the after life? He thought to himself. Then, he saw Flyssa... Well, if it is the afterlife, then I landed in hell. He groaned in pain and blearly rose to an upright position. "I missed something,' he muttered to himself.

Alexia stopped, and turned to look at the people. "Umm... I thought we were going to Santacruz... We were headed to Ostia, but we switched directions... Feel free to bring your vassals with you, Lady Flyssa. Though...' she leaned in the saddle to study the insignia on the archer's jerkin. "It looks as though he's a vassal of Ostia... That's great! We'll just help you out, and then you can explain things to the lord!"

'Great, trust the lord of Santaruz to forget to give me a horse!' Flyssa complained trdging around, 'Seriously, don't beg me for help when you don't give me some sort of transport, I better be treated like a Queen in that castle of his!'
She turned back to Matthias, 'Wake up, you!' She slapped him on the face, 'Lazy vassals...'

Alexia looked down at the complaining mage.
"Would you like a ride? There's more than enough room up here for two people," she said, padding the saddle behind her. Her light armor meant that she didn't take up near as much room as the saddle suggested. That, and the fact that she happened to be a girl. She was also used to riding, and had been trained in picking up others during battle. It was a good method of transporting mages and archers out of the field of conflict.
