There was a small cottage in the capital city of Bern, nobody would have guessed from the look of the place, but it housed a very powerful magician. He was now retired, because he had finished training his final student. He remembered the boy, an energetic and youthful boy. He was very surprised to see how it had changed when the weary youth came to his door one dark night.
"Lumino!" The elderly mage said in surprise, observing the boy, who had quiet obviously been traveling for quite some time. "Dear me boy, where have you been? Come in come in!" He ushered him inside quickly. Before he could ask any more questions the young mage, who looked much more in control of his power spoke.
"Master, I am sorry to return so quickly, but I need to ask you something, and I don't know if it is safe for me to go home. Have you seen Archavious lately?"
The old man blinked. "Your brother? Why yes, I saw him just today. He is getting ready to lead his first war efforts against the villains of Lycia. I believe his target is Santaruz."
"And, has he mentioned me? Has he said anything?" Lumino asked, anxious.
His former teacher looks confused. "No, he has not mentioned you at all, even in passing. Why, is something wrong."
Lumino sighed relieved, his family was not in danger. "Master, I'm sorry but I have to go now, I have to stop Archavious."
The old man sighed, and looked to his only remaining student. "I had a feeling that what we were doing was not right, but as the cowardly old man I am, I was never willing to say anything about it. If you, the peace loving boy I knew, are willing to take up arms, you must truly believe what you are doing. I will help you all I can." And with that, he handed Lumino an old book, that had not been touched in years. Rubbing the dust off of it, he recognized it immediately, the magical tome of Hellfire.
"Master, this is your book." Lumino spoke staring at it.
"It's yours now, weapons exist to be used, and I am far too old to use that anymore. I hope you make better use of it then I did."
Lumino stood there for a second, before he realized that he was losing time, Archavious would set out first thing in the morning, and he had to beat him there. He placed the book in his pouch and shook his teachers hands, as an equal.
"Thank you sir, stay safe."
"Use it Lumino, and always follow the right path."
And with that the young mage flew out the door, into the cold night once again.
