Matis saw Alan as well. He looked back at Kenshin, and said, almost regretful of doing so.
"I've heard stories about it. Whether those are just myths or not, I don't know, though" he stopped, as Alan landed.
"The Fire Emblem" he said, and looked at Alan. He was the only one from Bern. Perhaps he knew if the legends were true. It was said that the Fire Emblem, when on the right hands, would bring salvation to the world. On the wrong ones, though, it could lead to tyranny and domination. Matis' parents had died when he was young, and Kenshin's father had taken care of him from then on. He had heard the story from this man, who now lay dead, somewhere, perhaps in one of these graves. Kenshin, however, hadn't heard it, as he was not interested in becoming the tribe's chief.

'Hello to you too, Matis. The Fire Emblem? I don't know what you wan with it but I heard that it disappeared out of the safe. That's when I was sure that I had to leave Bern. If someone knows where it is, it's your buddy Hargus I'd say.'

"That guy can rot for all I care." Kenshin grabbed a shovel that Katara brun and started to dig a hole. After a while he made one big enough for Hanon's coffin and drug it in there then barried it. Setting her bow into the ground as a headstone. "Now only if there was a way for us to keep this thing from being stolen."

Athos apperead feet away from the main group. With him was a man in a hood, looking around Athos sensed something. Seeing Aerious he whispered to his friend. "Get your tome ready, I think he's one of them and I'm not sure his feelings towards the war or if he knows about it." the man nodded as both now had their tomes at hand.
"Young heros of today, you've done great to make it this far. Some of you have fallen and the rest has just got stronger and defeated some of my old comrads. This is another one of them, his name is Brammimond. He has the seal of their weapons, atleast used to. Seeing as you've defeated some of them we need to make it where nobody can weild their weapons, I used my magic to bring all of them execpt Hanon's bow to my lair. So far we've taken them to their places of rest and replaced the seal on them. I'm going to place a barrior on Hanon's grave to protect it." Athos held his hands up and it was as if a small barrior formed around the grave then dissapeared.
He handed everybody a small coin, he kept one for Aerious just in case he wanted it. "This will grant you all protection from the sand storm if you wish to come back."

Matthias looked at his coin, confused. "So, there's a bunch of super weapons waiting for us back in Arcadia?" he asked, looking up at Athos. "Are you serious?"

Aerious felt the presence. A magical force that pressed down upon him like an anvil. Something he had not felt for a very very long time.
"The demons have come, they have killed over half of the tribe already."
"Take the younglings, move them to another mountain, one where they can stay hidden."
Then an explosion, and fire. Fire that burned him, when he was supposed to be immune to it, fire that engulfed his people. A miniature warrior that cut down his father. A man with an axe the size of himself slicing through his older siblings. And him, hiding in a small crevice, seeing the carnage first hand...
All this returned to his mind, as fresh as ever, with the site of this one man. This hated enemy. He could barely find the words as he looked at him.
"Y-y-y-yYOU!" He nearly screamed. The face may be old and wrinkled, but he felt the power, the hatred seethed in him. He didn't care about the man next to him, all that mattered was that man.
That fiend.
He started a brisk walk towards him and the others, his eyes glowing murderously.

Katara looked at the headstone. "The Fire Emblem? I thought that was just a coronation stone..." she said.

'It's way more then that. For instance unlike the Legendary Weapons, Hartmut's Sword of Seals can only be unleashed by the use of the Fire Emblem. It's the national Tre- Hey, what're you doing?' He said only now noticing Aerious.

Matthias followed Alan's gaze over to Aerious. "Hey, somethin' wrong? You look like you wanna kill somebody..."
Matthias racked his brain, trying to come up with a suitable explanation. Of course, he couldn't think of any...

Upon hearing Matthias and Alan shout over at something, Matis turned around, only to see Aerious walk past him. But...something was not right. His eyes. The showed something he had only seen in Hargus' eyes before. Hatred.
I feared this would happen he thought.
"Stop!" he said, as he tried to tackle Aerious. Trying to stop a dragon in his tracks. Probably not the best of moves. "Things have changed since the Scouring, Aerious. Please!" he said, as he struggled to keep him in place. In vain, of course, as Aerious pushed him aside with ease.

Aerious shoved Matis aside with ease, as a faint golden glow came from the stone hidden beneath his clothing. He didn't even hear the words Matis spoke to him, so great was his hatred for this one man.
This murderer...
With a shout his body changed. Flesh turned in to scales, his perfect human features becoming the rough and rugged features of ages past. The only thing that remained the same was those eyes. Those eyes that burned with rage.
He stopped and stared at Athos, eyes still aflame, but he did not act. He did not speak. He did nothing but glare...
W-what do I do now?

Matthias fumbled with his bow. He really didn't want to fight Aerious. For one thing, he was a dragon, and Matthias wasn't positive he could kill a dragon. For another, Aerious was sort of a friend, albeit a new one.
"Hey! Calm down, would ya?! Seriously, the old-timer's on our side! He lives in peace with dragons and stuff!"

Alexia had been remaining quiet, letting the others hash out details. She figured she'd just go with whomever needed her. Then, she saw the dragon erupt out of one of their companions...
Another Manakete? The sudden appearance shocked her, but only for so long. She hopped onto Night Flight, and spurred him into action. She pulled up next to Athos, ready to throw herself in the way, to save the ancient magician.
