Danaris whistled for his horse and it came. He finally found his way back to Bulgar where he saw no sign of the two. He checked the market and asked random citizens but he had no success.
"Hmmmm, well so much for that plan."

"Sure, whatever," Matthias agreed, unloading his pack. He and Kenshin hadn't really hit it off too much. In fact, despite both being in this whole affair from the start, this was just about the only time the two of them had been together. Except for maybe back when that kid got sacrificed to summon the heroes...
Matthias shook his head, focusing his thoughts on setting up the tent. He hoped that the poor Sacean they'd been traveling with didn't get too far behind. Then again, the man did have a horse...

After getting his tent up and his bedroll in it he went to gather fire wood. He found a decent sized log along with others and drug it back. He put all but the largest sized log together. "When you feel like it start the fire." He had took out his sword and carved a circle within a circle within another circle trying to make a target.
Undoing the clasp on the quiver on his right hip he took out an arrow. That was the easy part, now he had to find where would be the best part to nought the arrow. Finding a place to put it he pulled back and released. Let's just say he would of had better chances of throwing the arrow with enough force to do any damage.

Matthias chuckled, amused at Kenshin's attempts to self-teach archery. The scruffy yeoman had been shooting since he was a child, hunting his own food so he wouldn't starve to death. Hunger taught a person extremely fast.
He quickly got a fire started, and lugged out some food to start cooking. Eventually Kenshin would get tired. Until then, Matthias had every intention of just sitting where he was and amusing himself.

After a little bit he was able to get it down. He was getting it close but by that time it was getting too dark. Packing up he looked at Matthias. "This could of went allot better if you helped. Do you have any information on that dragon guy?" He got his bedroll ready waiting for his response.

Matthias waved his hand at the cooking food, offering it for the Sacean. He'd left a little bit of some stew and bread warming by the fire. It should still be edible.
"I don't know all that much about the dragon guy, actually," he admitted, leaning back against a log he'd rolled for that exact purpose. "He showed up when we were fighting Roland, an' helped out with the whole killin' the hero thing. 'Course I had no idea the dragon was a dude as well. Just figured it was some random dragon."
He shrugged.
"At any rate, the guy tagged along when I went to Ilia. An' he helped out when we got Barigan. From what I've seen, he wants the heroes dead just as much as we do. It's just he's more willin' to break a few more eggs for his omelet."

Grabbing what looked like what Matthias had set aside for him Kenshin sat in the enterance of his tent. "Sure I don't care for Bern that much but still, I don't want the same to happen to somebody there that I had to go thru. Loseing everything becuase of somebody loseing their mind and attacking your home. Even if he wants them dead just as much as some of us do, the way he's doing it doesn't make him any better then what they did to his kind." He was staring at the stew and the bread as he spoke. Takeing his first bite he tired to hide the fact that it wasn't as good as what he's been used to eatting he kept on eatting.
"We've gotta warn the king atleast but I think that's out of the question. You're running the place had attacked, and I let him know that they were weaken at the time asking for aid. Got any plans?" Kenshin went back to meal.

Matthias shrugged.
"Find somebody neutral an' have them talk to the King?" he suggested. Then he snapped his fingers, "There's that nomad we had with us... wait..."
He pointed at Kenshin.
"You wanted to abandon him..."
he chuckled.
"At any rate, I know a guy who's been goin' around in Lycia. Goes by Crowley. Should be neutral enough, if we can find him."

"But how do we know we could trust that guy we left behind? He could of went in, told the king where we were and you're taken prisoner. Even if he was a Sacaen that doesn't mean we could trust him. After traveling the world I've started to lie to protect myself, I've lost my honesty to survive." Kenshin wasn't trusting of people now, even his own kind he had doubts about.
He finished off the meal that Matthias had prepared, setting the utensils aside he laid down. "Well I'm getting some shut eye, wake me if you're up before me. Night."

"Sure thing," Matthias replied, waving Kenshin off to bed. The Sacean was too suspcious, if you asked Matthias. There were people that could be trusted. Heck, if they didn't try they were going to run out of allies sooner or later, and that wouldn't be good. The more people between Matthias and the bad guys, the better Matthias felt.
He rolled up in his own bedroll and fell asleep quickly, snoring loudly.

Danaris rented a inn and stayed their for the night.
"Well no sense staying here forever. There's always something happening in Bern so I'll head over there in the morning."
He drifted off into sleep while wondering if Saru amd Raen were still alive.

after a few hours something woke Kenshin. It sounded like a bear or something, only thing around was his snoring partner. He couldn't get back to sleep, he started to ponder on what happened within the couple of days. He got that coin and Athos did kill dragons before. He hoped he could do it again for his plan.

There was the sound of something moving in the bushes. However, despite the cliche` evil monster flying out, roaring in bloodthirsty fury, it was just a sacaen boy, only 17 or so, stumbling out of the trees and shrubbery, landing flat on his face. The sacaen scrambled to his feet, only to slip again and land on his back. It was then that he let out a soft groan, as if he was saying 'Why me?' So far, the only injuries he'd recieved on this 'journey' of his were self inflicted by tripping on rocks, roots, animals, and of course his own two feet. It was almost enough for him to miss being laughed at. Almost.
The Sacaen scrambled to his feet, and managed to stay on them this time. It was then that he noticed the tent. Now, a tent is no reason to be afraid, but given his horrid luck, it could harbor a few rather nasty bandits. Not just that, but nasty bandits that like to prey on young Sacaen boys...Time to run! Yaen turned to leave, only to trip again and land on a bush.

Yaen moved about a little as he struggled to get out of the bush. Finally, he succeeded, only to fall off and hit his head on a rock. The Sacaen sat up and tenderly rubbed his head, an expression of pain planted on his face. Why must life be so painful?
The myrmidon rose shakily to his feet, hoping he could leave before anyone noticed. He slowly began to move away, praying to Mother Earth and Father Sky he could just get out of this scot-free. He was totally unaware that he had been spotted.
