Katara was shaken up by the impact, but Sokka's plan had worked. She was okay. "Sokka, No!" She cried. She felt his chest and pulse. It was slow, but there. He had only passed out. In her time before the war with the bandits, she had learned some human anatomy. She checked Sokka's body and found that he had broken a few ribs, his arm, and his hand. His right, fortunatly, he was left-handed, so it would not really effect his sword arm. "Sokka, stay with me. Your goging to be fine. There were no bark spots on his torso, so there was no internal bleeding. At least not enough for her to see. Katara looked at the village. Bandits came out of every house, and there were pegasi in the air. Matis and the rest of the group had since begun to attack as well.

Matthias had barely managed to take down the other guard when chaos erupted. "Ya know! I think it may have been a trap!" he yelled, darting into tree cover. He noticed a few of the men coming towards him. "crap," he cursed, whirling to face them. He quickly launched a shot from his short bow, nailed one of the chargers in the leg. However, this let another bandit hurl his ax at the archer. Matthias barely managed to duck out of the way of the incoming missle, aided by the tree cover. As he did so, he heard Sokka yell out. Sparing a glance over, he saw the young warrior and hius sister tumble to the earth. He knew there was no way for him to get both of them. Darting out again, he launched another shot at an incoming bandit. Thankfully, most of them used axes, it wasn't as though... "Argh!" yelled Matthias, as he felt something pierce through his left shoulder. Looking down, he saw a small spear had been thrown. Gasping, he pulled the missle the rest of the way through his arm, then immediately used the last of his vulnerary on the wound. "Things aren't lookin' so good!" he yelled, dodging out of the way of a diving pegasus. He lete out a shot, bringing the horse rider down. He had to focus on the pegasi knights, or the swordsmen would be overwhelmed...

Lyndsey saw the hand signal, and dived in with the rest of her group. She quickly summed up the group, and tried to figure out which one was Matis. Lords were rarely archers, so that left that scruffy looking man out. The two Saceans on the wall couldn't be him, they were too young. Which left only the wyvern rider and the other swordsman. Since the rider had to be from Bern, it most likely wouldn't be him. Grinning at her brillance, Lyndsey charged down at the swordsman, lance at the ready.

Like the others, Alexia was caught flat footed by the sudden assault. Realizing that Katara and Sokka would most likely need her protection, she charged in after them. She saw them falling, and tried desperately to make it to them in time. Unfortunately, she arrived only moments too late. "Katara? You're still with us?" she asked, leaning down. "Quick, give your brother a vulnerary! It will stop the bleeding. Take care of him, I'll hold them off." She whirled around in time to bat aside a pathetic ax thrust by a bandit. She then drove her sword deep in his chest. Wrenching it out, she was satisfied to watch him fall. "They are not well trained," she announced. Moving so that she was between Katara and the bandits, she raised her sword high. "All who wish to fall at the blade of a knight of Pherae come forth! I shall send you quickly to your demise!" Two bandits charged, and she effortlessly gutted one. Whirling about, she rammed her sword into the skull of another. However, they distracted her enough that a pegasus rider got in, attempting to stab the rider. Alexia only laughed as the puny slim lance glanced off her armor, the frightened rider didn't have the arm strength to pierce the cavalier's armor. Bringing her sword down, she wounded the rider, who then left the battle. Suddenly, she felt an axe dig deep into her leg, in the same place she had been wounded only days before. The newly healed wound burned fiercely, and Alexia cried out in pain. She did not allow it to distract her from long, instead looking about to see where the blow came from. What she saw made her skin go cold: a trained warrior, standing at the entrance of the hall. He had managed to throw the ax several yards, and cut that deeply. Obviously, this man was the leader of the bandits.
Though, in truth, Alexia was beginning to wonder if they really were simple bandits...

Katara held up Sokkas head so the healing liquid could fo down his throat. His eyes tiwtched a little. Katara saw the bandit slam his axe into Alexia's leg, and sprang into action. The shoved her sword into his chest and twisted. 'Stab, twist, pull' she thought. Somthing had made Alexia stop fighting. Katara knew it was probably scray, so she didnt look. instead, she focused on the pegagus rider diving strait at her. She dodged the lance and jumped up on the pegasus, knocking the rider off. She jumped off the pegasus and preformed a perfect downward thrust into the pegasus knight's neck. Out of breath, she rutuened to playing nurse for Sokka. He was shivering and his forehead was hot. That was never a good sign. She tryed another vulnerary and hoped for the best. She ripped off part of her sleeve and mopped Sokaa's brow with it. After that, she held her head close to his and said a Sacaen prayer. She hoped the vulnerary would work...

'Caught you at last!' I said as I lanced down Danala. I had wounded him but not yet killed him. 'Now unless you want to be Grimbolds main course you had better start talking.' 'Failure... Means death.' Danala muttered and he drank something. 'Poison? Took his own life. Oh well, sorry Grimbold but looks like he spoile your dinner. We had better get back.' Grimbold set off and we started our flight back to the village.

OoC: God, took me so long. Back into action now!
BiC: The group had already taken down around 20 bandits, but more kept coming from inside houses, behind trees, and even from wells in the entire town. It was madness, but they seemed to be pretty weak. As if they had only just finished their job-training.
Matis spun his sword around, blocking three axes thrown by the bandits, but was reached by a lance. Thankfully, it was only a slim lance. However, it was his right arm which had been attacked, and he had dropped the Mani Katti from the damage. Matis looked up, having seen the direction the lance had taken before hitting him.
His eyes met those of a pegasus knight. The girl seemed to be better than the rest of the bandits when it came to fighting, but she still seemed pretty new to the battlefield. Matis used his feet to carefully pick up his sword, but doing so fast enough to not let a second attack pierce his chest. He had to grab the sword with his left hand, and the blade clashed with the lance right in time.

I catched my handaxe as it came back. Seeing as trying to hit myrmidons was useless I choose another target. That archer that is taking out half of our pegasus knights!

Matthias hummed to himself as he merrily plucked pegasus knights out of the sky. "Like shootin' fish in a damn barrel," he sang to himself, as his arrow sunk into another pegasus wing, bringing steed and rider tumbling earthward. Like Alexia, he was trying to spare the peg knights, most of them were just mercenaries. He was so distracted by the knights that he didn't even see the fighter coming up on him.

Lyndsey smiled to herself, she'd managed to wound the swordsman. However, she was disappointed by the result of the second hit. The shock wave from the collision of weapons almost made her drop her lance. As it was, so barely managed to keep ahold of the weapon. Her mount headed skyward, trying to avoid the swordsman. Lyndsey pondered how best to attack Matis. He obviously had more skill than her, that much was obvious. Then, she noticed a fighter heading for the archer that had done so much damage to her troop. She motioned to her companions, giving them the signal to charge at Matis. Most of them were about as trained as she was, but three on one looked to be good idea, irregardless of the skill of the swordsman. And then, she'd join in and finish him off. Grinning to herself, she moved to a strategic position, readying for the charge towards the warrior. Her three companions spiraled down to meet him.

OoC: I swear I almost began with "Matthias..."
Realizing that sitting around wasn't helping, Alexia moved to intercept another incoming bandit. Like so many others, he fell beneath her sword. "They are really bad," she murmured, wiping the blade off on the man's ragged pants. Another screaming bandit ran towards her, hurling his ax in her direction. Yelling back, Alexia swung her sword at the ax, hitting it with enough force to send it backwards. It landed just short of the bandit's feet, and he stopped, looking down at it. Alexia waved her sword at him, and he took off running. Suddenly, Alexia felt something cleave deep into her side. Howling with pain, she whirled, attempting to hit whomever had done the damage. her flailing availed her nothing, as the grinning leader yanked his impressive ax out of the girl's body. Teeth grit against the pain, Alexia focused on the warrior, determined to fight him.

Katara got up and readied her sword. She pulled Sokka to a safer place and ran back to the battle. as important her brother was to her,the rest of the group needed her. Sokka would be fine.
Katara broke through the outer ring to see most everyone engaged with bandits. Katara ran over to cover Matthias while her shot down the remainder of the pegasus knights. She kicked a bandit between the legs and sliced his head off. Another bandit came over and attacked her. Katara slashed quick and many times, and he retreated.
In the next few minutes, the clouds opened up and it started to rain, but no one really noticed. The fighting continued.

Instead of hurling his axe at him Sergey threw himself at the archer and made him loose his balance.
