Fleetfoot tore up the turf as she thundered into the plains. Alexia clung desperately to the reins, willing herself to stay on. The voice had kept her awake that night, egging her further into the plains. So, she charged into the plains, looking for something. "Stop... rest..." the voice spoke, causing Alexia to pull up short. She glared at the sky, as if the voice could see her. "You had me ride all night, and now you're telling me to stop?" she snarled. Fleetfoot continued trotting onward. "Stop... REST..." the voice intoned into her head. Alexia pulled her horse to a stop. Dismounting, she set up a camp, waiting...

The pegasi retreat had led them deep into the Sacean wilderness. They'd stopped to rest hours ago, staying in the open in hopes of being found by someone. Lyndsey stood off from the others, searching the plains for signs of life. It appeared as though no one lifted in the glorious plains. She remembered seeing a fighter running in this direction, but couldn't tell if they caught up to him.

Sokka followed Alexia. When she finally stopped, he revealed himself. "Dont kill yourself. Rest for now, I'll keep a lookout for any retreating bandits." He supported her. The sun set a while ago, and darkness was surronding the plains. He remebered his younger days... Katara, Yue, and He, all playing as children... Those days were gone now... Katara was a fine swordsmen, and Yue was...he had no idea where she was. Maybe if he traveled with Alexia alone, they would run into the bandits who kidnapped her so long ago. ...And maybe rescue her, if she was still alive.

Sergey had been running for hours, cluthing his fathers head tight. He had completely seperated himself from any other surivors. Then he heard voices.

"You followed me out here?" questioned Alexia, eyeing the young warrior. "You really shouldn't have. I honestly don't know why I came out here myself..." She looked off into the distance. Something told her she shouldn't mention that a voice had told her to charge off into the plains. "Thank you for following me. It's always better to travel with two than alone," she smiled at Sokka. Rolling over, she covered up with a blanket, and let sleep overtake her.

Lyndsey could just make out a lone figure running across the plains. She squinted her eyes, trying to make out whether it was the fighter she had seen running. Figuring she'd better check out for herself, she mounted her pegasus, and flew down in the fighter's direction. As she drew closer, she began to make out his features. It was the son of the chief, S- something or other. She landed in front of him, looking at him expectantly.

'T-Thank God, I thought nobody else evaded the pursuit. The Chief is dead, our mercenary days are over.' Sergey whispered.

The last bit made Lyndsey arch an eyebrow. She looked down at the head clutched in his arms. Despite knowing the boy for a small time, she felt deep sadness in knowing he suffered such a loss. She dismounted from the horse, and touched his shoulder, letting him know she was there for him.

Sokka looked at the sleeping girl. He then loocked back at the plains to keep watch, seeing two human figures in the distance, and one horse-like figure with them. "Oh, no." He mumbled.

Meanwhile, Dray'Gon and Alan were back in the area of Sacae, and were flying together in an attempt to spot the comrads that were left behind. Dray'Gon was still upset by the upstart Wyvern Rider, but couldn't help being amazed at how well he handle his Wyvern mount.
"So, we are looking for two humans that we inadvertently left behind. As I have yet to meet with them, it would be prudent to describe their appearance so that I may locate them with greater ease."

'There really is no need, I think I see them.' Alan said grumpely, Kenshin's comment didn't fall to deaf ears. Wo does he think he is? Friggin' savage, I know the Bern better then anyone else. Alan woke up from his thoughts. 'I think they are being attacked, let's help.'
