((Wylie, you forgot me. How could you forget me?! I'm a stinking Manakete!!! )) "I'm guessing you have a plan for me, as well?" Aeros said. He couldn't think of anything better either, and the plan seemed good enough for now. Plus, he imagined he could get them out of most trouble they could encounter...

having been riding about the town for some time now, Rayl had been surveying their location (along with Sireace it seems) in hopes of relaying the information to Crow and Co. somehow, though knowing him, he probably knew his way around the holy city anyways since he was always bumbling in and out of bars, swapping epic tales that may or may not have happened just like that and all. He had tried to not look suspicious, but if your riding on a horse that's CLEARLY from Bern, no disguise was going to cover it...
Well regardless, Rayl had a mission to perform, and once he rounded the last building, he headed off for the nearest gate. Next stop: Find where the others are. They could be in or around the city, or could very well be lost...

Sireace cocked her head as she heard what sounded like a very displeased woman shreaking about chickens. She winced, fighting off the urge to put her head in her hands. She muttered something under her breath. Somehow she just knew that Crowley and his troup had been involved. She noted as some of the guards began rushing about the city, "Rayl.." She said, gesturing twoards the gaurds, chances were that they wouldn't even notice them in there obious hunt for the unfortunet person who stole the chickens, but it wouldn't be wise to stick around and find out.

Darius had somehow managed to lose track of EVERYONE. It was just his luck. But then as he rounded a corner, there were Rayl and Sireace. It seems his luck was taking a turn a bit better. Although, maybe not. There was a platoon of guards who appeared to be charging towards them. He stepped next to Rayl and Sireace and discreetly opened his Elfire.
OoC:Sorry about the short post. Oh, and I don't intend to turn this into a fight unless you already were. Sorry I've been gone so long. I have been kind of anxty lately, cause it seems like everything's going wrong for me. At this point I won't say anymore about it.

(OoC: Darius, you're with us. You can't be inside the city walls yet.)
"Okay guys, let's do this. Let's walk through that gate. Ready?"
They slowly appraoched the gate and they saw hundreds of guards, questioning and eyeing the traders who were entering the gate. Luckily there were more traders than guards so they couldn't interrogate everyone. Perhaps they could come through easily. They were almost inside. Only a few more steps and the gate was behind them, and then, of course, a little army brat who wanted to earn some medals yelled.
"HALT! State your business and what you're trading in?" He asked to the group.
Bribing time, was all what Crowley thought.

(To Darius: See Crow's post)
Despite Sireace's advice, he actually followed along with the guards, removing his cloak to reveal his armor, and so that they wouldn't take too much notice of him. After all: to them he was just another guard...on a horse....with a woman behind him...
Anyways, after following along, he drifted away from the others and found himself at a gate, watching as Merchants wandered on in...well, mostly merchants, there were some travelers amongst them, and of course, coming up was nonetheless Crow's group. After all, with their luck, they just HAD to be stopped and interrogated. They hadn't gotten far and now they were being questioned....great...now if he could just think of a plan to get them through...too bad he knew nothing about the times when they shifted the guards...

Sireace gazed at what she know knew was Crowlys group, muttering a curse under her breath. She thoughtfully glanced at the gate, she turned to Rayl, raising her eyebrows. "We need a knew plan..unless Crowly can get himself out of this..." She said softly, her eyes still darting twoard the group. (short..sorry..^^; not much to say, but i fugred i should post something)

"Hmmm...knowing Crowley, he has some fiendish, completely out of the blue plan already. Let's hold back and wait, then pop in." having realized this was probably a good idea, he had his horse begin to trot away to avoid being seen, though one guard did notice, and came right on after them.
"Alright! What's going on here?!" the man barked out, while Rayl himself began to think of a plan," Well...ummm...we are here as replacement guards! The Herald's orders. He demands that guard is changed more often and quicker as to keep the soldiers ready...your not disobeying him are you?!" using knowledge of the mission to his advantage, he went on the offensive, as the guard took a few steps back," Uh...Oh, right! Of course! Carry on!" the man left faster than he came, while Rayl let out a sigh: that was close. No room for mistakes...

Crowley rubbed his hands and smiled faintly. He even bowed lightly. He was a merchant, a trader, they were humble persons.
"This are my companions, kind guard, we trade in chickens and weaponry. Fine, fine weapons. And fine, fine chickens too. The best in the whole of Etruria, may Saint Elimine strike me down if it's not so!" He pointed at the heaven and theatrically showed the chickens and the weapons, pulling them out of everybody's hands.
"Look, look, kind sir, fine chickens, no? You can have one. Okay? What? You like them? Of course! Take two! Here! They're delicious. You've never tasted better chickens."
He smiled and laughed, he cried and begged and every move he had learned from merchants he brought into practice.
"Mmmm." The guard seemed to be getting intrigued by the idea.
"Three chickens?"
"Deal."
"Thank you, kind sir! May Elimine bless you and your family and your children and their children!"
He pushed the group through the gates and walk backwards all the while bowing and mumbling and smiling. They were in.

Sireace quickly pulled the hood that was over her head even father across. She smiled slightly as she heard Crow bribe, what do you know, he was actully a fine actor. She heard the gaurds clanking armor as they moved away from the gate to let the others in. Hopefully they wouldn't look to closely at ether Rayl or her. If they did it would be painfully obious that at least one of them wasn't a replacment knight.

After Crow's group had come in, Rayl waited awhile, before riding on over, semi-applauding, but having to hold onto the reins, it was more of a patting on his right shoulder plate," I must admit, that was most...amusing, to listen and watch. After this is all over, you should get into selling knickknacks door-to-door!" said in a hushed tone as to not arouse suspicion, he then continued," Now then, We have scouted the area, and I do believe they will be changing the guard soon...plans? I could try and join up with them..." a rather risky plan, as he dismounted his horse, rather hesitant about this, obviously, before holding out a hand to help Sireace down, even IF she didn't need it...it's just what he did.

Crowley bowed his head lightly and started handing out the weapons to everyone again.
"Low profile, remember that." He then looked at Rayl. He had a plan, he said. He was going to be a guard, he said.
"You're not going to do that." Crowley said. He didn't like the plan, too risky. He didn't want to lose one of the better fighters and the one who was his link with all the new people.
"We're going to think this over in a quiet place; have you found one?" Crowley shifted with his eyes. They had to be quick. They needed a place to hide, a safe haven. And then he noticed something. The smell of burned wood and charred bones. A vile smile, and people everywhere were covering their mouths. The guards had all of the sudden forgotten all about inspecting the merchants and were moving much faster now. Something was happening. But what?
"We need to get out of here. Lead the way. The rest, follow. GO!"

"Alright then. As for you question: yes actually, we passed an abandoned hous-" next thing he knew, he felt like he was having a flashback to the whole Bern thing...but it was real, as people were running about, and once Crowley gave the order, he began to ride, his horse was nervous about the fire, but it had survived through one that was MUCH worse, so this wasn't so nerve-wracking, but still...
"Shall I lead the way to that house, or what?"
(short, but oh well. Your probably sure of which house I'm referring to, according to the map.)

(OoC: Thanks! Great that you're using the map XD )
"Yeah, yeah, ye, come on! Less jabbering!" Crowley was eyeing the guards who seemed to be running around, desperately trying to from a big enough group to go investigate the fire. Citizens were walking faster, going to their homes, or to watch the fire. Crowley grabbed Wylie by his sleave and made sure he was following. He hoped the rest would do the same.
Eventually Rayl lead them to an old house. It was nice; it seemed to have belonged to a rich family once. He wondered why it had been abandoned. He thanked Rayl and read the sign on the door. "CONFISCATED BY THE STATE". He ignored it, kicked the door in and made sure everyone was inside. Then he blocked the entrance, and looked around. It seemed as if there had been a huge battle here once. Dried blood was everywhere, only the corpses had been removed.
"Well. Home sweet home." He grinned and took a seat in one of the old dusty chairs.
"What now?"

Sireace moved around the small place, the wooden boards squeaked beneath her feet as she cautiously explored. She gave a half shrug," Looks pretty stable..." She shrugged again and took a seat near the window. She sighed in mild releif, "I vote we never do that again. Hows that?" She asked, giving them all a small smile. "Will anyone have noticed us leaving?" She asked, her blue eyes serious once again.
