"Was that a joke?" this itself was said jokingly, as Rayl had brought his horse in with them as to avoid suspicion, as he leaned against a wall while he patted his horse on the nose while taking his lance from the saddle, tapping the ground with uneaseiness,"But I doubt they'll find us. More likely to worry about that fire spreading, more than a few 'chicken salesmen'. Now then: what's the plan. this may be an opportune moment to strike The Herald, with the city already in confusion, we should be able to get in, do the dirty work, and get out...assuming he's home of course." Sarcasm here, since he still didn't know much other than them going after this 'Herald'...

OoC: I got lost in transition
The house was quite quaint. Richter looked at the blood and dilapidation all around the room. "Great taste in decoration," he muttered to himself. He sat down in one of the chairs and crossed his arms. "Well that was relatively painless. I didn't even have to do anything." Richter leaned forward. "Rayl's got a point. The fire, being as huge as it is, should give us about a 12-24 hour period of low security on the main castle. If the Herald cares anything about his people, soldiers and castle guards are going to be working on stopping the fire, not guarding the castle." He paused and leaned back in his chair. "However, we'll have a better chance sneaking in at night, and by tomorrow night, the fire should be under control. Our best chance of getting into that castle would be getting a quick hour or two rest and sneak into the castle in the dead of night tonight. A great window has opened up for us and it would be foolish to waste it." Richter chuckled to himself, not showing it on his face, however. This would be his first big gig since leaving the mercenary business, and he wasn't even getting paid. Oh well, this Herald sounded like the exact kind of person he'd sworn himself to killing.

Aeros, who had kept quiet up to this point, put in, "I think we need to deal with two things first." He gestured toward the small thief. "First, we need to deal with him. Second, I'd like to know why we need to kill this 'Herald'. What has he done?" He had wanted to ask this earlier, but circumstances hadn't allowed it. Until now. What had he done that he needed to be killed? Especially since that seemed to be the only reason they had excepted him... ((I hope I can get on soon so I'm not left behind. XD But I have been curious about that. ))

"Well," Tobias said, speaking again after sulking about being unarmed, "Mostly just because he wants us dead I think." He shrugged since he wasn't compeletely sure. "And I don't see why this thief is a problem at all. We can just throw him out on the street; he's unconcious so he shouldn't know what we're doing. And if he's just faking it we can kill him, right?"

Sireace gave Tobias a dry glance. "If you want to get rid of him then put him out of the street." She said, glancing at the young unconscious man. "Is he the man you stole the chickens from?" She asked Crow, giving him a slightyl croocked smile. She thoughtfully regarded Richter's suggjestion, "Well...." She said, "I agree with Richter..but simply because most of the guards will be gone doesn't mean all of them will be." She pointed out with a shrug, "However i think it's our best bet.."

"Yes, but there are some things we don't know: Just how skilled this 'Herald' is in combat. For all we know, he could be able to take us all on and win. This would mean that just barging on in with sheer brute force isn't a good idea. I'm looking at you Tobias...and Aeros (what? He's a freaking manakete...). We should try and be more...well, stealthy when going on about this. However, this is up to Crow and Wylie to decide. Now if you'll excuse me: I have a man to drag out of here before Toby kills him."
and with this, he grabbed the man by the arms, and dragged him on over to the door, before exiting on out, and leaving him in an alley some time away, before making his way back to their hideout...however, at around this point, he was stopped by another guard, who was unluckily much smarter: "Your a Lycian soldier! Your under arres-" a punch to the face here, before Rayl took off running, now being chased by a few guards, as he ran right on by the abandoned house: better not to lead them there, as the whole scene disappeared into another alleyway, mostly ignored by civilians...
(Trust me, I'm going somewhere with this. ;P )

Sireace sighed and leanded up agenst the wall. She twirled a lock of hair in her fingers absent mindedly. "Hmmm....." She said, she had the most annoying feeling that some one probubly should have gone with Rayl. She shrugged it off, getting up from her place and walking out of doors. She moved behind the building, staring out into the open feilds that looked so much like her home.

(OoC: Hey sorry I haven't been around much guys. Had exams.) Wylie decided to give a slightly more detailed explanation to Aeros. "Basically, Toby is right. The guy wants us dead. But this is why." "If you've been in pretty much any pub or tavern in Elibe, you would have heard the legend of Crowley the Magnificent. Some variants of the tale involve Wylie the Wrestler, Usha the Hulk or Mage-dude, but they all involve Crowley slaying the resurrected historical figure, Roland." "Now recently, Etruria has been taken over in a coup by a man known as the High Inquisitor. This man is very religious, believing himself to be a prophet of St Elimine. In fact, he believes these resurrected heroes bear some religious significance and are here to save us from evil or something. So when he heard the tale of Crowley killing one of them, he ordered the deaths of Crowley and Company." "The Herald of Etruria is his lieutenant and the man through which he gives orders and proclamations to the people. This man breathes charisma (stole that from Crow. its a legendary quote, man), and has such a voice that people have a hard time not believing that anything he says is divine wisdom. Now our self-assigned mission is to kill this guy. He's a major source of power for the Inquisitor, but is likely to be less guarded than the Inquisitor himself." Turning to face the others now, "I like how this plan is forming. Night-time, less guard to worry about. It's all good. The only thing that worries me is that there are definately more than a few of us. Sneaking in like thieves might be a problem. Is there any way disguises might work again?"

(Dang it Wylie, it's as if you can read minds!)
After some time of being in the alleyway, Rayl eventually emerged, a smile on his face, and a hand on his side. He'd been able to knock them out, and it was only now he had an idea, and he ran back into the alley...
...a few moments later, an Etrurian guard burst into the house, laughing," Alright guys, I have an idea how we can get to the Herald." With this, the guard raised his helmet's visor, and there was Rayl," Apparently I was noticed by some guards. I was able to knock them out after they pursued me into an alleyway, so we could use their armor as a disguise to get in, though we will have to pick only four people...Oh, and can I get some help?" he held up the hand on his side, to reveal the blood as he staggered abit.

(OOC: I should've posted this sooner, before Rayl got all these ideas, but I had to ask permission. To make sure it would interfere with the final act.)
The Herald had been called forth. The captain needed help to soothe the people. This fire was enormous and no doubt there would be pandemonium. People were already starting to panick and criminals were coming out of their holes. This was one of the rare opportunities that Kraft's guards would be too busy to notice. The herald and his escort were marching towards the docks. There were about 40 heavily armed elite. The best. Mages and archers too. A few priests accompanied them as well. The Herald was surrounded by his bodyguards. They were walking fast. When all of the sudden a few cloaked men, dressed in black kneeled in front of the squad, making the stop.
The Herald looked at them and tilted his head. Assassins. What were they doing here? They should be hunting the heretics.
"SPEAK."
"Master, we've located them."
A small grin appeared around the Herald's mouth. His lord would be pleased; his name would remembered and the reward will be his. He didn't care about names, though. He cared about immortality. Something that was going to be his, very soon. People will remember him.
"SHOW ME."
After a while they arrived at an abandoned house. A nearby pub was open and the sounds were annoying him. The laughing, the drinking. Foolish humans. They should be praying, thanking Saint Elimine, not wasting their lives in liquids. But there were more important matters now. He looked at the house. Yes. Yes, the old house of the traitor, Marzius. He chuckled. How ironic that these infidels too will make their last stand here. If they were going down, at least they could do it in style. He gestured at the house and in complete silence it was surrounded. Soldiers waiting by every door and window, waiting for the command to invade the mansion and to bring the heads to the master.
"PEOPLE OF ETRURIA. THEY'RE HERE! THEY'RE FINALLY HERE!"
His loud voice carried through the streets and people put their heads out of the windows. They were watching, listening. People stopped to look. They knew this man. He was surrounded by his bodyguard and something was up with the house.
"GOOD PEOPLE, SEED OF SAINT ELIMINE! TODAY THE TRAITORS OF OUR CAUSE AND THE BRINGERS OF CHAOS HAVE COME TO OUR CITY! DID THEY HAVE THE DIGNITY TO PAY FOR THEIR SINS AND TURN THEIRSELVES IN? NO. THEY DID NOT. HERE THEY ARE. PLOTTING, KILLING, MURDERING, EVEN. THEY ARE THE FILTH OF THE LANDS AND THE DOOM THAT KILLED SAINT ELIMINE. WILL WE ALLOW THIS?"
The people answered. A roar went through the streets. We shall not! WE SHALL NOT! The people were getting worked up and nearby guards tried to calm the crowd down but eventually got mesmerized by The Herald's charisma as well. This was it. The people's moment. Nothing was as sweet as revenge.
"TRAITORS. DO YOU HEAR ME?" And then he laughed. He laughed.

"What?" Crowley had been silent and he even laughed at Rayl's cunningness. But a few minutes later, he heard it. That voice. He did not recognize it, but instantly he knew whose voice it was. The Herald. He had found them. But how?
"Buggrit." He didn't start panicking, while he had every reason to. He just got his sword ready and gave his scarf to Wylie. He then patted him on the shoulder and grinned. His scarf was his most valuable possession, and somehow, Crowley had this feeling, that this could be the end.
"Well, it looks like he found us, before we found him, eh?" He chuckled.
"You can always count on fate to f**k it up... Arm yourselfs; what are we going to do? Wait for them to attack? Or charge them?" He spoke quickly now, they didn't have a lot of time left.

".......Quite..." as Rayl listened to the speech, he began muttering under his breath," We need to get to the largest room in this house, and stand guard at it's doors. if it's main door is a double door, Crow and myself should be able to handle it, while Darius there blasts fire at them from over us. If the situation get's ugly, we can rally at the center of the room, have Aeros there transform, and rush them while they are reeling back at the sight of a Dragon." Sure Rayl was giving orders, but then he always ended it as a suggestion as to not have a repeat of the last time," That is...unless you have any other plans, of course. But I'd say the largest room here is the dining hall, and we'd be able to use the table and chairs to barracade it's other entrances...too bad we didn't have time to look around and to the other rooms..."

Richter sighed. "Well, dammit," he swore. "It was such a good plan too." He stood up after hearing the speech and listened to Crowley and Rayl. "Sounds like a death trap if you ask me," he said, particularly to Rayl. "I don't want to usurp your authority or anything, but there are..." he looked around the room, "seven of us and probably a lot more of them." He looked out of a window. "They haven't surrounded us with legions of soldiers, so we probably have a better chance making a break for it than we do sitting in this house." He turned back to everyone else. "Only fight a battle of attrition when you have more than the enemy."
He looked towards Aeros and jabbed his thumb at him. "He'd have to spearhead it."

"I agree with Richter on this one" Tobias said feeling the need to add his opinion. "No matter how well we prepare, there's no chance we can defeat all the guards. Better just to run while they're spread out than to let them focus into one place"

(OoC: F*** you Crowley, lol)
Wylie took Crow's scarf and saw the look in his friend's eyes. He wasn't expecting to make it out of this room. Wylie shook his head vehemently.
"They're right. We can run. We have a freaking dragon with us! We don't have to die in this room, cause that's what'll happen if we stay. They'll just keep sending in more guys until that happens. Hell, they can even get the commoners to charge in here. Or we run. We can make a break out one of the doors, punch through the barrier, and run!"
