(OoC: Matis' Group meet here)
Dirk was up bright and early with Kabold, ready to venture into Etruria. Everyone had had a good nights sleep. The last time Dirk had slept on a bed was... two years ago. Had it been that long? He always liked to sleep on the grass, but beds were fairly comfortable. He ruffled his hair and tied his bandanna up. He might not get to sleep in another bed for two more years.

Wein, always one to wake up bright and early, crawled out of bed and went to look out the window. Stretching his arms behind his head, he gazed out to see the Sacaen nomad from last night. He hadn't really talked to anybody last night, so he decided he'd go out and get to know another one of his traveling companions.
Putting on his shirt, gloves, and boots, and grabbing his bow and quiver, Wein threw his cloak over his shoulders and fastened it around his neck. It obscured most of his body, hiding his arms and his quiver. He walked down the stairs, refreshed from the good night's sleep in a bed. While he hadn't been living in luxury for the past two years, he was still an Ostian at heart. He really enjoyed sleeping in a bed over sleeping on the ground. As he walked out the door, he dropped his room key on the front desk and nodded his head towards the innkeeper in thanks.
He took a deep breath. The early morning air was pleasant in his lungs. He looked towards the nomad with the bandanna. "Fine morning, isn't it? How are you doing?" he asked.

OOC: Same inn, coincidence? I didn't even think we were in the same town, but hey, plot devices were made for just such an occasion.
IC:
Janus and his group had retired with no problems last night, and the sleep had been nice. But now it was a new morning, and with that Janus went downstairs to get something to eat and plan out the new day. He decided to allow the girls to wake up on their own time, after all, they didn't need to be up so early if they didn't want to.

Matis was downstairs, handing the gold for the night of rest and the food they had had last night. He had seen both Dirk and Wein pass by earlier, along with a few other warriors and travelers, as was usual in such places.
Thankfully, the pirates that had attacked them had some gold on them, or Matis would be broke already, what with paying for drinks and food for the group. He decided to go outside and talk with the other two men while they waited for the group to wake up and gather.

Rolling out of bed the female shaman found the window’s direction keeping the sun from blinding her in the early morning. Stretching out her arms she moved to begin tending to her physical appearance. First her dress, then the robe that easily indicated what she might have been. Taking her feather she tucked it behind her ear after finishing brushing her long red hair. Once settled on how she wished to look she slipped out of the room with tome in hand being careful not to wake Cefia.
Heading down stairs her eyes browsed the crowd for the face of Janus or the mage that had conversed with them the night before for early company. Quickly she recognized the light blue spikes of hair belonging to the archer. “Morning Janus,” She chimed from behind him drawing closer.

Dirk completely ignored the archer. Instead, he scratched his chin and mumbled "Hmm... I think I need to shave." and looked towards Kabold. Kabold and been with him all of this time and never complained once. That was what made Kabold the best companion, his best friend. But... what was a friend? Did he even have friends?

OoC: We moved? o.O
Alexia had risen bright and early in the morning, preparing her armor and Night Flight for the journey ahead. For now, she opted not to wear all her heavy gear, instead just throwing on a simple leather jerkin. If it looked like trouble, she could add more to it later. For now, she was more eager to ride with some comfort.
She'd gathered her supplied, packed the horse, and was ready to continue journeying. She, for one, was thankful for having slept in a warm bed for the night. And for the bath she managed to sneak in: she couldn't remember the last time she'd been clean.
Alexia reentered the inn proper, coming from her preparations outside. She noticed Matis, whom she must have just missed earlier that day, and nodded to him. There were few others already awake, mostly people she didn't recognize.
She walked over to where Matis sat, taking a seat close by.
"Are we all set?" she asked, double checking. "I think I saw Dirk and Wein, I think? Anyway, I think I saw them both outside..."
Alexia nodded.
"So are we going to grab something to eat and then head on Abin's boat?" she clarified, fighting against the feeling of trepidation she got from thinking about another boat ride.

Wein scratched his chin. The nomad had completely ignored him. He wouldn't let that ruin his day though. He tried again. "That's a fine horse you have there," said Wein, nodding to Kobold. "Never been a horse person myself." He tapped his heal on the ground. "I enjoy relying on my own foot power to get from place to place. Animals are unpredictable."
Wein ran his hand through his hair. "So," he asked, "do you have a name?"

Saru woke up and stumbled his way down the stairs and past the group with a grunt. He really wasn't a morning person. The mercenary continued stumbling his way outside and tripped, sending him face first into a random person with a bucket of water. The water splashed over them both, fully waking Saru. After apologizing profusely to the man, he quickly ducked back into the inn. "I'm gonna grab my stuff. Be down in a min..." he mumbled as he went back upstairs.
OoC: Sorry for the absence, but college midterms blindsided me, and I have had no free time what so ever. Thankfully they're over now, so I'm gonna get back into things.

Matis nodded and then brought his hand to his face when he saw Saru come back into the inn, soaked to his legs.
"Hopefully, the ride will be short. I'm seriously sick of boats. They get my legs numb" he said back to Alexia. "Should we go outside and wait there?" he asked, motioning towards the door. "If Dirk and Wein are there, we might as well go too" he said.

"His name is Kabold, and he doesn't like you talking about him that way." Dirk looked back to the inn, it looked like everybody was starting to leave. He patted Kabold's side and got on the saddle. After this adventure was over, Dirk thought he might retire Kabold, Kabold had done so much and been through everything Dirk had.

Wein raised an eye. What a pleasant fellow... He still didn't know the man's name. Whatever. This man wouldn't be the only man he would be traveling with.
Wein noticed a purple haired man stumble out of the inn, get soaked by a person with a bucket, and stumble back in. Wein chuckled to himself. As he looked towards the door, he saw that the group was beginning to leave. Good, he was ready to go.

"Good morning Nissa!" Janus called. Waving her over. It looked like it was going to be a pleasant morning.
Unfortunately appearances could be deceiving. He spoke softly to her over the table.
"I'm thinking about going out to gather some information quick this morning, I have a good idea of where to start my investigation, but I want to confirm it. Something about a prophet just seems like a good lead." He looked serious again, but just a little bit. "Are Cefia and Jullian up yet?" He asked in a normal and cheerful voice, not noticing that two men at the bar had up and broken away from their seats, moving to a position behind him.
He only became slightly aware when one of them decided to throw a chair into his back, knocking him to the floor with the wind knocked out of him.
"Nnngh.. Not good...vision is cloudy..."
This was bad, maybe he should have been more discrete?

Alexia smiled ruefully at Matis.
"You're sick of boats? I'm the one who's going to be spending the voyage vomiting over the side of the boat," she pointed out, wincing at the memory. yes, the battle-hardened Paladin could handle cutting off a villains head, but the idea of vomiting made her wince.
"You go ahead, I'll wait for Katara," Alexia suggested to matis, nodding to the door. She opened her mouth to say more when suddenly she heard clatter. Turning, she saw the bar fight unfolding.
"That hardly looks fair," she murmured, reaching down. Unfortunately she only carried her iron sword with her, and it had been wrapped so as to not look like an overt threat. She headed toward the scuffle, quickly unwrapping her weapon.
"Hey! Stop that!" she yelled, hoping to attract their attention.
OoC: If i've screwed up, let me know. but I'm seeing this as a way for our groups to combine. o.O

Matis saw Dirk and Wein a few meters away from where the inn was, Dirk already mounted on Kabold. "Always the first to be ready, eh, Dirk?" he said playfully as he got closer to both archers.
"If things go well, we should leave before midday" he added. "What have you been doing?"
