O.o.c. Yea, sorry about that but I only had one minute to post. Them just running through the sand still made them inaccurate.
As he saw the mercenary he commanded them to surround the mercenary and take him alive when he struck. As he looked up he realized the mercenary was coming at him.
He took out his axe and swung with all his might but the sword still hit him and gave a deep gash.
Roscanza fell to the ground really hurt. He wondered if his axe hit the mercenary.

Durban saw the axe and sword both come towards him. He was never really any good at dodging, so he just ran forward. The axe imbedded itself in his shoulder, and he was stabbed through on Matis's sword. He grinned and looked down on the nomad, gripping the sword's blade with his massive left hand, and swinging his axe down with his right.

His grip on the sword was too strong. Matis tried to have Durban loosen up, but to no avail, as Armads came flying down to him. He dodged to the side, but the already deep cut he had on his left arm was deepened further, as the axe's sharp edge made contact with his skin. Matis fell to the ground, but rolled to the side gaining some distance, knowing a second attack would follow shortly after.
Durban, as careless as he seemed, was not a fool, and disposed of the Mani Katti as soon as he could. He dropped the sword to the ground, and smashed it to pieces with a single blow from Armads.
N-No way... he thought, as he tried to stop the blood coming from his arm.

Weapons stuck in the berserker, Alexia was beginning to find out. Her axe was embedded in him, and she'd lost her sword to him as well. Which left her with lances, which were not smart to use against axes.
She winced as she saw the Mani Katti shatter. They really needed Katara's help... where had she run off to?
Alexia looked for the swordmaster as she drew out her javelin. Readying the weapon, she hurled it at Durban, hoping to continue to nick him to death.
OoC: Alexia is a freakin' walking armory...

OoC: sorry, Brawl's addicting... V.V
IC: Katara ran at the berserker, but after seeing Matis's sword break, turned and headed to strike Durban from behind. She quickly jumped up, slashing the large man in the back. Fearing for Matis, she drew back and struck again, with hope that Durban would turn to her and give Matis a chance to escape. "Come and get me, Ugly!" she yelled to Durban.

OOC: I know, it's so much fun.
IC: Durban saw the javelin coming right for him, and laughed as it pierced into his skin. He stopped laughing when he felt a sword tear through his back though. The slash was so strong that he lost his balance for a second and stumbled.
"You, little girl. Will regret that!" He roared, spinning around with the axe in an attempt at a decapitating strike at Katara.

Matis knew that without one of his arms available, trying to block would be pointless. He'd have to rely on his speed for the remainder of the fight. "No you won't!" he shouted, stabbing forward with one of his Steel Lances, ducking under the massive axe.
OoC: Damn you and your Brawl! I'm stuck here with the original N64 one(which, by the way, is still fun to play, even 6 years or so after getting it).

Saru had managed to strike one pirate down, but said pirate gave him a fairly deep gash on his left leg, hindering his mobility. As the other three surrounded him attacked all at once, he managed to block all their axes with his sword. Saru then quickly struck out wit his fist and punched the pirate on his right, making him stumble back a few feet and drop his axe to clutch his broken jaw. Unfortunately, this threw him and the other two pirates off balance, and they all fell to the ground. One of the pirate's axes nicked Saru's chest on its way past, before its owner fell on one of the thrown hand axes, killing him. The other pirate meanwhile got back up and made to attack Saru again, raising his axe above his head. 'There!' Saru thought as he seized his chance and thrust his sword up, impaling the pirate.
Saru then slumped down on the sandy ground as he panted. "How many more pirates are there?" he mumbled to himself. Hearing a noise, he turned and saw the pirate he had punched pick up his axe to attack again. 'Just great,' he thought. 'I'm exhausted. And I don't think I'll be able to get out of the way in time because of my leg injury.' Saru tightened his grip on his sword, preparing himself for another battle.
OoC: btw, just how many more pirates attacking are there?

Ooc: I think there's only one left in Roscanza's unit, idk about Durban
Watching Saru drop to the ground Raen knew he had to think fast, pulling back his bow Raen aimed for the pirate's heart and shot true, ignoring the pain of his arm wound. For the moment, Raen and Saru were clear to think and gather themselves up.
Raen ran over and gave Saru a helping hand up, "The battles not quite yet over friend. It looks like Durban has the edge now, we better get over to Matis fast!"
Turning Raen began to run over towards the epic struggle now taking place, which, from Raen's point of view, didn't look like Matis was winning.

OoC: I missed the Javelin verdict. Am I carrying a lot or what?
Katara had hopped into the fight, thus distracting the berserker even further. And the Saceans were keeping the pirates off, which meant now was the time to charge. Alexia switched to her steel lance and dug her heels into Night Flight's sides.
the trained horse charged towards Durban. As soon as she was in range, Alexia thrust her lance hard.

Katara had barely moved out of the way to avoid the huge axe. She saw Alexia charging with her lance, as well as Matis striking out with his own. "No... I believe you will regret everything you've done to these people since your reawakening!" she shouted at Durban. Holding her iron blade with both hands, she jumped up and brought the sword down on the pirate's arm.

OOC: Only a few mook pirates left. I just threw them out there so you guys had someone to fight that WOULDN'T kill you in half a shot.
IC:
All three hits connected. And Durban grinned, his arm sliced open, his chest punctured several times by spears and javelins. He redoubled his grip on the axe and pulled it back.
With a loud roar, sounding more like an animal then a man, he brought it down on Alexia with enough power to cleave stone.

OoC: Uh... is that a crit? 'cuz even Alexia might not survive a crit from Durban...
Alexia didn't have time to pull back. All she managed to do was get her lance in between the two of them, letting the sturdy weapon take a good deal of the blow. It sank deep into her armor, and she cried out involuntarily as lancing pain coursed through her body.
OoC: And.... Durban has no statsheet.... I'm guessing it hurt like hell?

Watching in horror as Durban brought his axe down on Alexia, Raen set up another arrow and aimed for Durban's uninjured arm, missing narrowly the arrow stuck in his side. It didn't even look like Durban was even aware of the arrow at all.
Glancing around, there was still a few pirates to be dealt with, but looking at Saru, it would be a tough fight with the shape he was in now.

Dirk finally joined the battle. "I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me, I just..." He didn't complete his sentence. He was needed. Taking his longbow, he fired an arrow at Durban from far away. Dirk was not skilled in defending himself and would rather stay away from the maniac zombie.
