Alexia headed back down to the main room, thoughts buzzing about in her head. Could she really justify letting Katara go into a battlefield in her condition? They'd suffered several deaths... could they really bear one like that? One with such a burden?
Alexia shook her head, attempting to dislodge the thoughts. Thus cleared, she entered the main room. It took her some time to find Matis, as she wasn't expecting the crowd around him. Puzzled, she cautiously headed over, wishing she hadn't already removed her armor.
"Hello again," she spoke, stopping near the table. She signaled a server, quickly ordering two of the salmon, one to be sent up to their room. Katara probably needed some time alone, and Alexia intended to give it to her.
Once that had been settled, Alexia studied the new faces. An archer and a cleric, from the looks of things. Both solid additions to their group, the cleric needed moreso than the archer. Still, could they trust people in such a town as this?

Wein saw the woman enter the room and walk over to the table. She was probably a veteran to the group, judging by the looks of her. Their cadre was quite large now that he thought about it.
He noticed her examining him. Believing it would be polite to introduce himself, Wein walked over to her and extended his hand. "Hello, I'm Wein, a wanderer from Ostia. I'm new to the group, but you probably already guessed that."

Every second he spent inside there, he felt more and more troubled, although he wasn't sure if it was because of the smell of salmon, his instinct or the plain fact that he was on land, which he rarely was.
Because of that he was shoving the salmon of his plate into his mouth and drinking rum at the same time, like he hadn't eaten or drunk for days. That, combined with the fact that he was constantly talking with Morgan, the cook and owner of the inn, and a friend of his father, the whole time.

Dirk sat back quietly, not caring to listen to anyone. He took a sip of rum and declined salmon whenever it was offered. We need to move, we'll never get to Bern if we stop at every pub along the way.

Matis looked at Dirk's face as he sat. He looked rather...concerned. He tried to get his attention from over the table, and nodded, trying to say that they'd leave as soon as possible. Both knew that time was of the essence, and Matis knew how much Dirk disliked wasting time and being around a lot of people.
But they would have to rest. At least this night. Katara needed it, for whatever reason.
I must remember to ask Alexia about that later on...

Alexia nodded to the archer as Wein introduced himself. Knowing that she had another Lycian traveling with them made her feel a little better. Lately it seemed as if they attracted nothing but Saceans on their travels.
"Pleasure to meet you, Wein," she greeted, taking her seat. Her eyes darted over to Matis, silently promising to inform him of Katara's condition later. Doubtless the Sacean swordsman would be interested in knowing about his cousin's child.
"I hope the salmon's good, I could use some food I can keep down," Alexia joked. A buxom barmaid delivered Alexia's plate of food, smiling in a friendly manner at the paladin. Alexia simply nodded, and dug into the food.

After finally finishing all the food he stretched his arms and walked to the small kitchen, asking the owner for a blanket, which he immediately received. Before leaving the pub to get his well earned rest under the stars he stopped by the group to give them his advice. "I suggest we leave tomorrow morning, get some rest, even though biggest part of traveling would be done by boat, we need to prepared."

Katara heard a knock on the door, and opened it to find a man with a plate of salmon. She thanked the man and brought the food into her room. After eating the delectable fish, and finding it settle in her stomach, she decided to make her way down to the bar. She still felt a bit tired, but she though Matis should know, and she wanted to try to bond with the other men in the group, knowing that her life was i their hands, and vice versa. She got the bar and sat down near the group. Smiling kindly at the others, she said, "was it just me or was that fish too good?"

Alexia had just been about to agree with Abin's suggestion when Katara came down. She nodded toward the other female, smiling kindly at her. Something about the way the Sacean moved made Alexia wonder... had she come down for some purpose? Alexia's eye flicked over to Matis, who looked more or less ignorant of any motive, as far as she could tell.
"The fish was quite excellent," Alexia agreed, nodding to Katara. She didn't move, uncertain as to what course of action to take next. Should she leave, and give Katara space? Or would Katara want someone else to be available to comfort her?
For now, Alexia decided to wait and see what came. If nothing else, she could head up to bed; it would be nice to sleep somewhere that didn't move for a while.

Wein, sitting in a chair, slowly chewed his last bite of salmon, his legs propped up on an empty chair. He was quite ignorant of the situation going on with the Sacaen woman, yet realizing there WAS a situation from the awkward vibes emanating from the two women, began to feel quite uncomfortable. His chewing slowly came to a halt. Perhaps it was his presence? These people were all new to him, and not wanting to pry into anything he was not supposed to be privy to, dismissed himself.
"Well," he said with a smile, "the salmon was delicious, but I really must be going off to bed now." He nodded to those still at the table. "Apparently we have a long few days ahead of us, goodnight." He pushed his chair under the table, and fiddling with his room key, walked up the inn stairs to get a good night's rest.

Oblivious to it all, Matis simply answered Katara's question as well, praising the skills of the cook and the fresh fish.
"By the way, are you feeling better now, Katara?" he asked, remembering why she had gone upstairs in the first place. He wasn't expecting an answer at all, considering how weak the girl probably felt, but an OK would have been enough to relieve him.

Katara looked down, not wanting to lie to Matis, but not ready to tell him in front of everyone else. "I am better than I was before," said said, reverting to stating a vague half-truth. She Smiled and fiddled with a lock of hair, trying to calm the storm that rages in her mind. "Who was that man that just left?" she asked.

"Wein, an archer, and latest addition to the group" Matis replied. "And this over here is Lewin, cleric, and also a new member of our happy-go-lucky band" he said, motioning towards the staff user.
"I think I better get some sleep. Haven't slept well since that time at the church" with that, he rose to his feet and, waving, went upstairs to the room the inn's clerk had showed him.

(OoC: skipping big parts because it goes to slow for me...)
Surprised by the failure of his own instinct he woke up next to the inn, nothing happened, although he did have the feeling he was watched, still, that was better then fighting. The pirate rose from his makeshift bed, a barrel cut open, filled with blankets and pillows. Although it wasn't the most comfortable, it fit it's purpose. However, his back was hurting because of his bed. With a back ache and a dry throat he took a seat for breakfast, he'd soon wake the others and prepare for the journey ahead.
