"No where really," Jya answered, somewhat of a monotone. There wasn't anywhere she could go. She didn't know where the others were nor did she care to catch up with them. The horror of meeting might mean certain death in so many ways.
As Jya dug deeper into the ground, bits of dirt started to stick onto her hand, but she managed to catch a decent sized earthworm. It wasn't exactly thick nor thin, hopefully it doesn't contain any parasites, but we all need to take risks.
"Want a treat?" she asked lifting up the worm, while it squirmed in her hands.

Pappy was wandering for about a day after getting away from the city when he smelled a roast. He hadn't had a decent meal in a long time so he decided he would check it out. After getting his non-obedient horse to move after much kicking, he followed his nose. He decided to play it friendly and hopefully be offered some. But he knew he might have to fight to defend himself. Lots of bandits and outcasts hang around here. Gripping his lance he found the fire.

"Yuck. No, thanks. Besides, the bunny is almost done." Gabriel said, staring at the roasted animal. It would only take a minute more for it to be as roasted as he liked his food. A small sound made him snap, though. Rustling leaves.
Footsteps? One, two...three...four of them?
"Jya, we might have company..." he whispered, keeping his eyes sharp. Four steps...That's either two persons or a horse. Better be ready for anything.
Gabriel put a hand on his Fire tome, hoping now more than ever that his magic would work.

Jya's head turned to the direction of the sound. Eyeing the direction closely she could manage to make out a large figure on top of a horse. Probably another passerby or a lone bandit. Changing her view back to the rabbit, she drew her weapon and pretended it was simply nothing more than another animal.
"Best to relax right now, best see what that person wants. Seems to be a loner, doesn't seem like anyone else nearby..." she muttered to Gabriel. If it was money, she didn't have much on her, only whats left throughout years of wandering. If it was their lives, than...well thats not for sale.

Papilion finally made it through the trees and twigs and saw a boy and a girl by the fire. Haha! He wasn't expecting that.
"Um.. hi there." he lopsidedly said. He wasn't used to being friendly "I smelled that roast from far away."

"Hello, mister" Gabriel said, not moving his hand from his tome. From the looks of it, the man was a cavalier. He was mounted on a horse, carried light armor, and even the lance he had seemed a bit fragile. That did not make it any less dangerous, though.
"We would share the bunny, but I doubt it'd be enough for three persons. It already is barely enough for two. Three would be stretching it too far."
Gabriel tried to be polite. He did not know who the man was or what his intentions were. Other than eating their food, that is. "What would your name be, mister?"

Jya continued to stare at her slim sword made for thieves. The metal shined brightly against the fire, the light seemed to remind her of her deeds awhile back. Scraping off the dirt of the worm, she forced herself to gobble it down, it squirmed all the way to her stomach. She had already lost her appetite, but she had to force herself to eat, the healers recommended daily meals for her own benefit.
Looking through the reflection of the blade she stared at the figure that was so close. It was just another stranger, no one truly important. At least not in her mind.
"I don't mind giving him my part, I can probably find some other edible plants and bugs around here."
"And buy myself a meal on the next town."

"Um... I am Papilion, but everyone calls me Piggy. Thanks for some of the rabbit" He just waited there in a really awkward manner. He decided to move a little closer but didn't notice the tree branch in front of him. Whack. He fell off his horse and felt like crying but he held his tears in. He also couldn't get back up because he was to fat. "Great," he thought.

Errol had managed to slip out of the nest of whitewashed vice that was Delphia. He had honestly expected a fight, but the guards at the exit he had used had accepted his statement that he was leaving to help reform the 'heretic countries'. He was lucky with that one; but if they had been smart enough to realize his true meaning, he might not have escaped...
Still, even though the road didn't carry the spiritually degrading atmosphere so present in the capital, he felt it would be a bad idea to stay there: a lone traveler would be too much of a target for a bandit gang (He vaugely remembered his teacher mentioning the death of the "bandit king", but he personally did not understand why bandits would need any sort of leader at all). So he strained his eyes, looking for any excuse to leave the main road: a shout perhaps, a hint of smoke... like that one-

"Should we...?" Gabriel managed to say, before laughing under his breath. He wanted to help the man, but thought better than to get too close to someone that big, more so when he didn't know the man.
"You sure that you don't mind, though?" he asked, looking back at Jya. The bunny looked ready. "Anyone has anything to cut it up? It won't be easy to share it, otherwise." he said, and then diverted into thoughts.
What if the man ends up traveling with us? I could use a bodyguard. No one would dare annoy us with someone this big around.

"Go ahead." lending her slim sword to Gabriel. It was made to tear and cause pain anyways. "Its clean, I swear," she lied, sometimes its best to not tell the truth, being a thief made it easier and she did wash it off enough to let it shine against the fire. There wasn't much to do, if the man decided to join, that means safer travels, yet harder to get some jobs. It was true, sometimes you have to sacrifice somethings to get others in life.
"If you do want to travel, here is a map." Jya said taking out a thin sheet of paper to Gabriel. It was torn, old, musty, yet amazingly still eligible. She didn't feel like getting a new one, this map should lead them to a town. Hopefully one not in its ruins.

Gabriel took the sword. He was not used to wielding one, but he could still use it to cut the meat to pieces, and gave half of them to the cavalier. He separated two of his six pieces for Jya too, as he thought he'd be full with four already.
He then took a look at the map. "We're roughly around here..." he said, pointing towards a forest by the stream to the east of Delphia. "I really have nowhere to go, so unless you have a better idea, let's go towards Ostia. If we're lucky, we might be able to get some work there."
"And to top it off, all we'd have to do is walk south along the river. We'd have fresh water through the entire journey, and we could perhaps try and catch some fish along the way" Gabriel added smiling.

Piggy sat up from the ground as if pretending he meant to fall off. He garfled down his part of the rabbit and forgot to save some for his horse. His horse was beginning to look really skinny, especially next to Papilion.
"Hmmm, maybe it would be safer if I traveled with them to the next town." he thought. "Two kids wouldn't protect me very well but if we were attacked I could use them as shields." He made up his mind.
"Hey, we should travel together." he said, trying to sound friendly.

"Hope the water isn't too deep, I can't swim." Jya said, it was true. She never did learn to swim, it wasn't that she was lazy, simply too small a few years back even to the river close to her village. Now that shes a bit taller, it made many things a whole lot easier to do. Still that doesn't mean she couldn't fish at least try not to.
"Hey the more the merrier, I don't mind, but its up to Gabriel, you're the leader here." Jya continued, jabbing the man next to her playfully with her elbow, putting all the pressure on the boy was a whole lot easier than she thought. If anything she didn't want to be eaten first...

"Well, I don't think he'd have an easy time crossing rivers either, to be honest" Gabriel muttered under his breath, just barely loud enough for Jya to hear. Then it struck him.
"Me!? The leader!? Wait, since when!?" Gabriel asked frantically. When had he become the leader of this happy-go-lucky group? He tensed a little bit. He had never been in a position of leadership. Sure, he was always the one ordering the servants around back at home, but these...they were friends. Acquaintances at least. He had no real power over them. Moreover, he was probably the weakest of the three by far. Papillion had a lance in his hand, while Jya carried a short sword around with her.
"If..." Gabriel managed to say at last. "If you wish to come with us, then feel free to do so" he spoke.
