Wein scratched the back of his head, sensing a bit of an animosity from Denzel and Wyatt. He smiled, a tad embarrassed. "Oh, I didn't mean it as any slight against you, Denzel," he said, "I'm just saying it's best not to do things alone. It was admirable for you to charge off like that, a real knight of Laus if I ever saw one. Something far braver than I would have done at your age, but there's always something to be said for taking a second to think things through. I'm sorry if you took offense."
Wein really didn't want to come off as reprimanding, considering he didn't see himself as much of a role model. "I'll be back in a second, guys, I'm just going to go grab my horse."

Selk did his best to keep his words to himself. He didn't want to go and tick anyone off. It was probably for the best that they just made sure all the hostages were freed and everyone could get back to their lives. Even if the village was in shambles it was likely that the people who lived here weren't going to just up and leave. Some of the more stubborn people would probably stick around and try to rebuild the village.
After everyone(In the group that had beaten the bandits) seemed to have relaxed a bit more and were going around looking for horses, Selk followed Denzel. As he did this he would speak. Since he and Denzel were away from most of the group, they wouldn't hear him, "That was a mighty brave thing you did, Sir Denzel, rushing off alone on your horse. I don't think I have it in me to lead a charge like that. Even if these people don't say it, I'll say it for them. Thanks. This place reminds me of my home a lot..." He seemed to trial off at that, just staring off into the distance.

Lilith stayed quiet, a strange thing for one so peppy and talkative. Instead of quibbling and bantering to no avail, she stuck her nose in her tome and mouthed a few spells. He wanted to make sure she avoided the same mistakes next battle. however, as she read, she did pipe in with, "I do like fighting bandits. It feels good to help people terrorized by those with no empathy."

At hearing Lilith speak Wyatt stopped in the door frame where he was. He turned and faced her, a little flustered.
"Uh Lilith? Yeah, I'm sorry about what I said earlier, you really proved me wrong, and you might have saved me...so...uh...thanks." He mumbled the last part out. So much for the brave and strong man, he'd been shown up by just about everyone here!
"So yeah..." He seemed to run out of things to say, what could he say to make up for being a total ass before? After he'd seen what she could do, he was the one in over his head here. "I'm gonna round up the horses, yeah." He said, looking for a reason to leave this house.

'Well... Thank you.' He said to Selk, rubbing the back of his neck. Gosh, I never though of it like that. Feeling that he was turning red he quickly made to follow Wyatt out of the house.

Wein walked out to the edge of the village. Little John, Albus's horse, was still there, waiting. In all the commotion, he didn't run. "Smart horse," thought Wein. He walked up to the horse and pet his head. "Good boy," he said. He worked his way to the horses side and hopped on. He took a few seconds to situate himself in the saddle, then trotted off towards the others. That was the end of that little adventure.

Lilith followed Wyatt and Denzel out of the house. "Wyatt, you owe me no apology, I am hardly a good fighter yet. But we can train together, and grow strong side by side. Now let's go and find another village to help!" She said jauntily.

Selk simply smiled and nodded to Denzel as the group walked out of the house together, save for Wein, who had went to fetch his horse. Hhhmm...Seems like this group, although very different, has similar motives. Or at least some of us do. Others I'm unsure about. Still...I already feel a bit close to these people. Perhaps that's what fighting side by side in a life or death battle does to you. He returned to silence as he followed at the back of the group.

Having found his swords, Yaen was taking a little more time coming back than he had running off. Really, he was in such a hurry because he felt vulnerable without them, but now he felt a little safer. A little. He came back just in time to catch the magic girls comments on killing bandits, and couldn't help but smile. Just a buncha crazy people, weren't they? Then again, he met alot of those... Visions of a certain Wyvern Rider popped into his head, and Yaen shuddered.
"So, your just going to run around randomly, with no idea as to where your going, simply so you can blast bandits to little bits?" he asked, still smiling. "Well, if you don't mind, could I tag along? I'm familiar with traveling and know a bit about fighting...Plus, after being captured, roughed up, then left to collect dust, I sort of feel the need to get even."

"I'd like that." Wyatt responded to Lilith with a smile, at least there were no hard feelings. He had found the horse he'd 'borrowed' fairly easily. He just found the town commons, and there it was, drinking from the small fountain there. He'd began stroking the animals mane when an older man approached them, from the look of him he'd be the towns mayor or magistrate or whatever they called him. He approached the smallest of the little band of children, and gave a small bow.
"Um, excuse me Sir Denzel was it? We don't intend to leave our home behind, but should bandits attack again, we are defenseless. I beseech you to plead our case to the castle, we have no other methods of protecting ourselves from these raids. They are becoming more common in the surrounding areas." He wrung his hands in concern.
Wyatt, meanwhile, looked with a thoughtful expression. "Or...we could track them to their base and stop them there..." He met the shocked stare from the old man with a remark. "It's just a suggestion...." He muttered, running his hand through his hair.

"People from my castle should already have been dispatched to this location. They'll arrive here soon." Denzel evenly. "In the meantime, I think Wyatt's solution is the most practical. Bandits can pursue people a long time to avenge fallen men. Better to take the fight to them first."

Selk keeps his attention fixed on the conversation of his allies and the one villager. After Denzel and Wyatt have finished speaking, Selk speaks as well, "I have no intention of leaving the group. If you guys are going, so am I. I tried to stop their leader from escaping, but he got away. I guess that means we have unfinished business. That's not mentioning the fact that I'm a soldier of the local militia." Although I haven't been knighted yet like Sir Denzel. He adds the last bit mentally to himself as a bit of a self motivator.
After a moment of pause he looks over to Yaen, "So long as you don't endanger my comrades, you're welcome to join up with us as far as I'm concerned. It's always nice to have another person on your side in a fight."

Wein reached the rest of the group as Selk finished speaking. Everyone look to be in a much better mood since he left, especially Lilith and Wyatt. "Well then, are we ready to go?" he asked. He then saw the nomad standing with his swords. "Is the nomad coming with us?" Wein rode his horse up next to him and extended his hand. "I apologize, I never caught your name. I'm Wein, man of Ostia. Since the villagers are staying here, you could ride with me if you want."

Yaen grinned at Selk's words. "Excellent! I promise you, my blades and I shall make ourselves quite useful." He assured.
Looking to Wein, he nodded. "Yes, it seems I'll be tagging along... Oh, thats right, I never gave you my name, so you needn't apologize. My name is Yaen, swordsman of Sacae. I am glad to meet you, Wein." He replied, taking the mans hand for a moment before releasing it. A sort of handshake, if you will.

"Right!" Wyatt said, stopping hos boot on the dirt. Half to adjust the leather, and half for emphasis. "Well then we should get going, no telling how long we have until they decide to raid again."
He looked up at the horses. "We don't need to make great time, the horses are probably tired from the fast pace of the trip here. Let's just proceed on foot. 'sides, I'll not be riding with this any time soon." He said, gesturing to his hand. "It's not like the bandit's are going anywhere, except maybe back towards us with more. So really, time isn't much of a factor."
Sliding his axe through his belt loop, he picked up his small sack of belongings and stood, adjusting it on his shoulders.
"I'm Wyatt." He introduced himself to the Sacean who'd called himself Yaen. "I've never met a Sacaen before, it true you guys don't tell lies?"
