"I'm sorry for being rude, Sir Malachi, but it seems like Wyatt is right. We need to find refuge soon. Up the mountain seems like the best bet since the bandits likely came down from there." Selk looked up the mountain and sighed. "As for where I'm from, it's Caelin. I lived there nearly all my life on a farm. Only a little over a year ago did I join the militia in Laus."

Lilith looked over at Wyatt and nodded. "Could someone carry Sir Denzel? I am not strong enough..." she called out. Then she bent down next to Denzel. "You have a bad gash on your shoulder. Let me help. Yoou'll have to point out any other injuries to me, though. Should we get this armor off?" she asked, dabbing the cavalier's shoulder with some cloth wetted with vulnerably liquid. She smiled brightly at Denzel.

Wyatt interjected to Lilith's rapid fire comments.
"Later. We can tend wounds when we settle down, patching them here would be useless, they'd open as we move. If the uninjured could help those who are, we can make this transition as quick as possible."
Already the sun was starting to come near the peak of the mountain, as a golden orange light fell across the crags.

As Aaron moved up the path, he noticed three horses clustered close together in a clearing. One of them had saddle and trappings to match the armor of one of the group that he had ended up traveling with.
The horses only spooked a little at his approach and so he was able to calm them quickly. Collecting them up, he led them back down the trail.
"Do these look familiar to anyone?" he asked leading them back down the trail a ways.

OOC: Small fast forward, consider it less then an hour.
IC: The group gathered up their belongings and located the fortress easily enough. Currently wounds were being dressed, and a few of them were exploring the layout of the small fortress. The bandits were not the best of house keepers, and things were heavily in dissaray and damaged. To spite that, there were at least something close enough to matts for the injured and tired to rest on. A little exploring would reveal some ruffed up tables, stools, mugs and various nick knacks, as well as an old anvil half way through a wall, with tools strewn about.
Wyatt sits down on one of the stools, and removes his clothing from the waist up, examining the scar on his chest. It's still very sensitive, and he pulls some bandages from his pack to attempt to dress it.

((OoC:I can haz red gem?)) IC: Yaen removed his swords and scabbards from his waist, setting them against the wall before plopping down onto the floor. "That was madness back there." he commented. "But at least we're all still living. That counts for something, right?" he asked to no one in general. Looking around, he spied something shiney. Curious, he rose from his seat to inspect it. "Well, what do you know..." he commented, picking up a red gem. "Wonder who they killed to get this." he muttered bitterly, before tucking the gem away. He could use it to get a new sword later.

Wein leaned up against a wall, huffing with exhausted pain. The wounds had almost closed and the bones had reattached, but everything was still extremely tender and walking was a chore. Due to this, his wounds would begin to bleed after walking even relatively small distances. He pulled up his pant legs and pulled a wrapping out of his pack, tearing it and wrapping his injuries. He finished, then sighed, and looked towards Yaen.
"Nice find," he said, "that'll get you a pretty penny with even small time merchants. Find the right buyer and you could make some good cash." Wein wiped his forehead. "Anyways, thanks for the help back there. I might be dead if not for you."

Denzel sat down on a stool as his armour and the tunic underneath (if this isn't how it goes for a knight's cloth then correct me).
He heard the welldressed man inquiry and answered. 'Oh yeah, that one over there is mine.' Then it hit Denzel that he didn't know this man, 'Uh, who are you?'

"Aaron Winsett. A traveling mage from the province of Ryerde. I assisted in the battle." The mage replied.
"My teacher told me that I needed to get out and see the world before he taught me anymore... I find I've much excitement to look forward to." Aaron smiled a wry smile at his own comment.
Aaron found a stack of firewood in a corner and threw some in the forge. Mumbling under his breath he gestured and a flame bloomed in the fire place, providing light and warmth in the darkened room.
"With that taken care of, I'm afraid that I still don't know most of your names."

Wyatt looked from where he was examining the anvil in the wall and turned to the small group. "My name is Wyatt, I'm an apprentice blacksmith. I...well...I was going to Laus to work for the military, got sidetracked helping Sir Denzel with a town besieged by bandits, and then we chased them here. Yeah, you know it from there."

'I'm Denzel, a cavalier in service to the Marquess of Laus, we came here to eliminate a bandit camp that attacked a nearby village. Thanks for the help.' Denzel said. He then focused on the other unfamiliar face, he seemed to be knight like him, but wasn't from Laus he knew that for sure. He wondered on what kind of assignment led him here.

Malachi had sat down in a shady corner and taken his armor off, trying examine the wound on his back. He felt around, the wound seemed as though it had healed well. He looked around the room at the people he was with, they were definitely an interesting bunch of characters. He glared at the man with the bow. Malachi had been shot with an arrow, and out of bandits he had seen, none had any bows, arrows or quivers. Malachi sighed and closed his eyes, leaning against the wall, trying to fall asleep.

Selk, whose armor was now sitting in the corner next to him, stood up and walked over to where Aaron was at. "I thanked you before, but in all the hustle and bustle I don't think we were properly greeted. I'm Selk Mar. If not for you and Sir Malachi over there," he points to Malachi briefly and then continues, "I probably wouldn't have made it out of there. Thanks." Selk extends his hand for a friendly shake.

Wyatt has managed, after a bit of interesting maneuvering, to return the anvil to a place it can be used. Or rather remove it from the wall where it was lodged and set up a workshop around it.
"I think I'm going to do some basic repair work. Denzel, Selk, pass your stuff over here and I'll touch it up so it doesn't get worn down. I'll happily handle yours as well." He says to Malachi.

"I'm glad I was able to help." Aaron said to Selk, shaking his hand in a firm grasp. "I'll tell you, when I first saw you being charged by those bandits, I thought a hero of legend had returned to fight that horde of axmen."
Aaron Studied the man. He seemed only a bit younger than Aaron himself was. Another young man out chasing his dream?
"Regardless, I'm glad they're taken care of." Aaron said. "They would have proven dangerous to anyone traveling in the area""
