From the Mist...

The mid-morning sun sparkled across the ocean waves, in the manner in which it does most every day, whether anyone is around to see it or not.
As it happened, near a small peninsula on the coast of Lycia, there was someone who could see it; though at the moment, he took little joy in it. For one thing, he was not on the peninsula, no one was. But if there were, they would be able to see him flying above the water heading towards them. It was just as well that no one was watching, as they would probably have long since run off. Dragons tended to have that effect on people.
Presently, the dragon landed ashore grateful for the rest: he had been flying over the sea for hours. Turning to look back the way he had come, Zakon thought back to the mist-covered isle he had taken off from. That had been his first look at the world, and the low visibility hadn't exactly made it impressive. Once he had taken a guess as to which way was north and taken off, he had been glad to see that fog did not, in fact cover the whole of the world, but this was the first chance he had to really enjoy the view.
...But that was enough. Turning back inland, the dragon began to shrink down, his shape changing until the figure was for all intents and purposes, human.
"Yep," He said, looking at the glowing stone he was now holding, "This thing is definitely the key. But staying in my true form for so long took more of it's energy than I thought. Looks like I don't have much time..."
Zakon slipped the dragonstone into a pocket of his unusually constructed robe, and slipped a smile onto his face. "Well, better get to work. If humans are really like the stories, I shouldn't be able to go too far without coming across some sort of settlement."
