Wein shrugged. "It's just a scouting mission," he stated non-chalantly. "Our goal is to not be seen, so if we stick to the plan, we shouldn't have another situation like the one at the bandit hideout."
Besides, there was a carriage. He wouldn't have to walk, and he could still use his bow. All in all, it seemed like a pretty easy mission. He even kind of felt like a soldier.

Aaron listened to the proposal. He didn't have any problems with hiring his services out to people, or at least to his own country. He hoped to become a skilled mage before returning to Ryerde. This experience would just be another stepping stone towards that.
"Why would Etruria attack?" Aaron wondered to himself. He wasn't particularly knowledgeable about current events abroad.
Out loud, he addressed Sir Denzel, "What would happen if we were caught by Ostia? Would they believe we were spies for the Etrurians?"

Selk crossed his arms and sighed. Bandits were a serious problem and they usually did terrible things....but something like this....a formal scouting mission to examine another nations troops...That was a whole other level of intensity entirely. "Sir Denzel, I'm in. I hope everyone else is, too. I like having you all around. Heh...."

Denzel smiled at Selk, then answered Aaron. 'this degree has the stamp of the Marquess of Ostia on it. Though they haven't been informed of our mission nobody from Laus or Ostia would contest it should it come to that. Our main worry would be if we're caught by the lower echelons of Ertrurians and they're not willing to hear out our story. But make no mistake, Wein. Personally, I do think Ertruria is planning to attack. And if they do, we'll be right in the middle of it. I want you all too understand the risk if you come.' He said looking the Wein in eyes. If Denzel were honest with himself he'd admit that he found the unkindly looking archer quite intimidating. But he wasn't.

Yaen sat, looking at the wall in deep thought. "I'm not sure if I like this." he commented. "Don't get me wrong, I like you people, and I owe you for rescuing me from those bandits... But it's like you said, Denzel. This could end badly if we are caught, especially for me. I am a 'pagan', as your society puts it, after all. I don't think they'd like me much."

"Well then, that's why we don't get caught," said Wein, nodding slightly towards Denzel. He looked at Yaen. "If what Denzel says is true and Etruria catches us, we're all dead anyways. They've grown vicious and strong in recent years, and I doubt a ragtag team of kids and mercenaries is going to be able to fight them off if our mission does go south."
Wein leaned up against the wall to ease the weight off of his legs. In all actuality, this was usually too dangerous of a mission for a mercenary. It's the kind of mission enlisted men did, simply because they have no say in the matter. Why did he want to do this mission? Wein sighed. He just wanted to be more like his brother. If he came out of this alive, maybe he'd feel like he'd actually done something worthwhile. After all, Wein was an Ostian, and they were no friends of Etruria.

Aaron mulled over what had been said before finally speaking his decision. "Etruria is the land of magic. If they are aggressing, then it is only right that Lycia's "homegrown" mages stand to defend the countryside. I'll come. They won't even know we're there."
Aaron wasn't really that concerned about the coming mission. "After all, no one could stand before the power of nature's magic. " or that was the mage's thoughts. He also was very proud of the talents he had developed, and a little too confident.
The mage wondered how the rest of his comrades would decide. It's not like Aaron was actually signing up for a permanent post in the army, merely trying to protect his home, and his new companions. If there was a danger, he didn't want to wake up someday to find his hometown being attacked.... He would work now to prevent that eventuality.

Malachi looked around the room at the others talking about what their plans were now that Wyatt and Denzel have informed them of what we are to do next. He shook his head," I like you all, but I'm not going on no suicide mission to Etruria. I'm done with what I had to do, now I'll just head back to Ostia and see where I can go from there." Malachi was set on his decision, though he wanted to go to Etruria, he didn't want to go with some strangers on some sort of "peace mission" there. Malachi stood up and walked to his room to gather his armor, weapons, and supplies.

Wyatt looked around the group. "Well, I guess it's us then. This might be the last time we're back in a big town so we should buy supplies." The gold granted by the Marquis was around two hundred pieces per person, more money then Wyatt had ever seen in his life, but he was happy to accept it.
"I think I know enough about forging and such to do some repairs on the road, but I'll need to buy supplies..."
OOC: For the sake of story, this will allow you to repair any weapons you may need to RIGHT NOW, by spending the money. I do this because the party is supposed to be leaving very soon, not long enough to reforge a weapon, but long enough to buy or sell items they may need/not need.

'Well, if you're going to the local weapons shop then could you buy a sword for me? I've got the money for it right here." Denzel opened his purse and took out most of the gold he had on him. It was hard-earned but he had seen how the lance, which was about three times his height, was ineffectual in several situations.
OoC: Anyone that wants Iron weapons and has the money with the additional 200 gold should post now and put in an order with Wyatt, so you don't have to make an in story explanation yourself.

Yaen took the money and sighed. "Allright, you win. I'll tag along. Don't expect me to stick around to get caught by Eturians, though. I'd rather not become a martyr." he stated firmly. Reaching into a pouch, the Sacaen produced the red gem he had found and handed it to Wyatt. "If you would, kindly go trade that in for a sword. One thats made to fight wyverns, preferably...I had a bad experience with a wyvern once." The Sacaen shuddered visibly at the memory, his free hand absently running over the scar beneath his shirt.

Wein just held out a hand and shook his head. "I've got nothing I want to buy. I've got my trusty bow," he sad, slapping it with his hand. He didn't have that much money, and he thought it'd be better to save it for when he really needed it.

"I'm ready" Aaron said to the others. Of course, he wanted to splurge, and buy a new book. Unfortunately, the books that he would buy were far more expensive than he could currently afford, so he would hang on to his gold till he could get the new "thing" sooner. The mage often had to deal with getting too obsessive over his projects. Aaron thought to himself, trying to soothe the craving for knowledge he had. "I ought to study Fire a little more before I move on to Thunder.""Don't worry Yaen, with a bowman and a mage around, wyverns should steer clear of us." Aaron said to the nomad. (Heh, Aaron's got no idea who he's talking about. PLEASE DON'T KILL ME ALAN! *wilts*)

It was around a quarter of an hour before Wyatt returned, handing Denzel his sword, and Yaen his blade as well. He marveled as he handed the sword over to him.
"That is...quite a blade..." He panted out, still out of breath from the huge pack he was carrying that clattered as it moved. "I hope one day I can forge something that impressive..."
One might notice that his familiar wood cutter's Hatchet had been replaced by a true warriors axe, a lot larger, and made for actually fighting instead of chopping wood. It would be much more effective.
"All right then, if everyone is ready we should get going!"
OOC: If nobody has anything else to add, I'll skip us ahead this time tomorrow. Last chance.
